Alien Alpha's Sweet Omega: M/M Gay Mpreg Science Fiction Romance (Zatan Warriors Book 2) by Leo Thorne (1)

CHAPTER 1

CADEN

This was really happening. He was on Zata – and about to meet some sexy Zatan men!

Caden grinned widely as he winked at himself in the bathroom mirror.

“Well, look at you,” he said to his reflection, almost laughing at how he looked in the tiny traditional Zatan robe. The ceremonial outfit they had been given for tonight’s celebration was bright red and ridiculous to be sure, but whatever the Zatans were into was A-okay with Caden.

He turned and admired himself in the robe. The red color of the fabric accentuated his own red hair, and surprisingly, he liked the effect. The outfit ended barely an inch below the curve of his ass and while it wasn’t the skimpiest thing he had ever worn, it was definitely in the top five.

Their human guide had instructed them not to wear any underwear with the robe, as was Zatan tradition apparently, and Caden was more than willing to comply. He was on Zata to enjoy the culture and meet the men, after all. Tall, strong guys had always been his type, so when he’d first seen the seven-foot-tall, muscled Zatans on Earth news, he had instantly known he had to meet them.

Caden looked at the postcard of General Xean he had propped up against the wall on the bathroom counter. The pale, dark-haired and stunningly handsome Zatan looked back at him with a serious expression. The card had been a promotional gift for signing up for the Zatan fan club back on Earth, which Caden had eagerly joined at its inception.

The general was one of the most popular Zatans in the fan club, probably in part because he traveled to Earth and appeared in the news frequently. He was in charge of a fleet of trade ships that came to Earth often, providing humans with technological insights and materials in return for mineral resources.

He was also drop-dead gorgeous.

Caden didn’t know if the general would be at tonight’s celebration on Zata, because he was usually on Earth working out trade deals, but Caden didn’t much care either way. All the Zatan men were similarly huge and handsome and Caden was thrilled to meet whoever he would get to meet.

Honestly, he still couldn’t believe his luck. When the contest to get to go to Zata for their annual celebration had been announced back on Earth, he had applied right away. He had been dreaming of meeting Zatans forever, and the $10,000 prize that came with the journey wouldn’t hurt – but he hadn’t actually considered that he might win a spot on the first-ever Earth ship to Zata.

Yet here he was, on a planet far from Earth, about to go party with sexy aliens in an outlandishly revealing red robe.

Caden giggled indelicately at the thought. He gave his reflection a final grin, waved at the postcard of General Xean for good luck, and left to find his new friend Noah so that the two of them could head to the celebration area together.

As he stepped out of his private room, he saw a few people standing around in the hallways of their hotel-like accommodations, chatting to fill the time before the celebration.

But his friend was nowhere to be seen.

Not that he had really expected to find Noah in the hallway.

Caden had befriended the geeky human on their way to the planet, and the two of them had been kind of a pair ever since. But where Caden was outgoing, Noah was extremely shy. The best bet was that he was still in his room, and Caden started to walk down the corridor.

It hit Caden then that the hotel looked surprisingly close to a regular one on Earth. They were galaxies away on a strange alien planet, and yet there were toilets and mirrors and doors handles just the same.

He was sure Noah would be fascinated by the fact. The man was a bit of a Zatan technology nerd, and he’d no doubt be wondering whether this was the norm everywhere on Zata or whether the hotel had been specifically made with humans in mind.

Caden chuckled at the thought. He was more of a people person himself, and he couldn’t wait to get out there and finally talk to the Zatans.

Walking down the corridor in search of Noah, he noticed how everyone around seemed extremely uncomfortable in their robes.

“Why do we have to wear this?” a tall guy grumbled, pulling down at the hem.

The man next to him, almost as tall with dreadlocks pulled back in a ponytail, tugged down on his own robe. “Well, we came here to learn about Zatan culture. This is lesson number one.”

“I guess I shouldn’t have packed so much underwear,” another guy with glasses said as he came out of a nearby room.

Caden laughed. “I love these robes,” he teased. “I think we all look totally cute.”

The tallest guy just glared at him. Caden didn’t mind. He continued to stroll down the corridor in search of his friend; Noah’s assigned room was just at the end of the hall. Caden knocked gently on the door and a moment later, a hesitant blonde head peeked out through a crack in the door.

“You’re wearing the robe?” his friend asked uncertainly, his cheeks flaming red.

“We all are,” Caden said with a grin. “Are you ready to go?”

Noah opened the door all the way and came into the hallway, looking down at the carpet, clearly embarrassed. Caden smiled at how shy he looked in the robe. He had been so glad to meet someone like Noah on the trip. He was a sweet person, kind, and totally smart. If Caden was bored on the trip, he knew he could always go to Noah to learn some new tidbit or to speculate about what the Zatan planet might be like.

Caden also had a suspicion that Noah might be gay as well, but hadn’t quite figured it out yet, which inspired some amount of protectiveness in him. Caden had known he was gay since he was a young teenager, but he remembered those early years of being confused and questioning everything.

“Come on, cheer up,” Caden said. “Just be thankful the Zatans even wear clothes at all.”

Noah nodded. “You’re right. I just feel like any gust of wind could come and…”

“Oh, don’t worry about it. The weather was calm when we got here, anyway. Are you ready to go?”

The blonde man nodded again. “I think so. Honestly, I’ve been so excited to see Zata but now I’m a little nervous.”

“That’s normal,” Caden said as they began to walk to the stairs that led out of the building. “I don’t think anybody really knows what to expect from this celebration. Well, except that there will be hot Zatan guys.”

He winked at Noah, who only seemed to blush more.

“Just try to have fun,” Caden added with a pat on his back. “That’s my plan, at least.”

Noah smiled uncertainly at him, but finally nodded. They reached the entrance of the hotel, and Caden heard the man take a deep breath beside him before they stepped outside.

His heart beating fast in excitement, Caden pushed the doors open. A few others had followed them downstairs, and their small group was led a little way down a wide road through the tall, quiet trees of the blue-green forest to the celebration area.

Tables with red tablecloths and flowers were barely visible as the area was filled with a crowd of huge Zatan men, all wearing the same skimpy red robes, their impressively muscled legs and arms bare and visible to ogle at.

Some of the men were standing and talking while others sat at the tables. A few turned to survey the group of humans who had just arrived, and Caden’s whole body buzzed with excitement.

“Let’s go, Noah!” He grinned, grabbing his friend by the arm and pulling him toward the tables. “Let’s go talk to those sexy Zatans!”
