The light broke through the cracks in the curtains and shone down across the bed covers. Monica rolled onto her back and stretched as she yawned and forced herself into the land of awake.

I work with the loggers, and when town is busy, sometimes my time is taken up by running from cabin to cabin and fixing things that are going wrong. Leaky faucets, broken windows, that kind of thing.
