Ante Up: A Four Kings Security Short by Charlie Cochet (5)

Five

Why was he doing this again? Oh, right. Charity. How Kit did this every night was beyond Seth. It wasn’t just having a sea of men watching your every move, eyes roaming over every exposed part of your body that took some getting used to, but the routine itself was putting him through his paces, and he worked out daily. The plinth provided enough space for him to dance without worrying about falling off, if he paid attention, which was easier said than done.

From the moment he’d changed into the tiny blue shorts, all he could think about was Kit and what he might think. They’d managed to avoid each other for weeks, but instead of the distance making it easier for Seth, it had made it more difficult. A couple of nights ago when Seth spotted Kit at a booth with some of the club members, laughing and flirting, Seth wasn’t proud to admit he felt a Neanderthal urge to stomp over there, haul Kit onto his shoulder, and carry the man off to his cave. It especially didn’t help that Seth could feel Kit’s eyes on him throughout the night.

Right, he needed to get his head in the game and concentrate, because if he fell, the only thing catching his heavy ass was the floor. Letting the beat of the music wash over him, he danced like no one was watching. He’d forgotten how much he enjoyed dancing. The truth of the matter was, he worked in a club, and although he loved his job, on his days off, the last place he wanted to be was at a club.

Seth slid his hands over his chest and down to his thighs as he gyrated his hips. Glass shattered close by, and he darted his gaze over to the source, biting his bottom lip when he saw Kit apologizing profusely at a club member he’d obviously bumped into. The man was patting Kit’s shoulder in reassurance before walking off. Kit stared down at the remains of what looked to be several cocktails then turned his face up and glared at Seth.

Oh, so it’s my fault, is it?

As if reading his thoughts, Kit huffed and spun around, stomping off to the bar, most likely to grab the dustpan and broom. Seth continued to dance, only this time instead of pretending no one was watching, he danced for Kit. He’d lost track of time until his watch buzzed, notifying him it was time for a break. Crouching down, he pushed the concealed button on the side of the plinth then continued to dance as it slowly lowered toward the floor. He’d worked up one hell of a sweat, which of course meant once his feet were on the dance floor, it was like tossing bait into shark infested waters.

Men crowded around him, dancing with him, running their hands over him, each one trying to get him to dance with them.

“Excuse me!”

A hand landed on Seth’s arm, and he turned, surprised to find Kit.

“Seth needs water,” Kit yelled over the music, dragging Seth away from the men. Well, more like leading him away, though he was stronger than he looked, but that made sense. Seth had no idea the kind of muscle strength needed for dancing, and Kit danced for a living.

Seth followed Kit through the swinging doors to the club’s back of house, amused as Kit led him toward the employee lounge, his face a study in determination, as if he’d take down anyone who got in his way. It was adorable.

Once they were in the lounge, Kit released him to march over to the large fridge where he pulled out a cold bottle of water. He turned and thrust it at Seth.

“Here. Drink the whole thing.”

“Yes, Sir.” Seth took the bottle from him, chuckling at Kit’s narrowed eyes.

“Don’t you give me sass, mister.”

“No, Sir.” Seth saluted before twisting off the cap. He started drinking, aware of Kit’s gaze dropping to Seth’s mouth. His tongue poked out, and he licked at his bottom lip as Seth drank. Some water accidentally trickled down Seth’s chin, running down his neck, to his chest, and Seth almost choked when Kit whimpered. Kit lifted his eyes to Seth’s, and Seth had to stop drinking for fear of drowning. The heat in Kit’s eyes sent a shiver through Seth from head to toe.

“I can’t do this anymore,” Kit said hoarsely.

“Do what?”

“Look at you and not kiss you.”

Before Seth had a chance to reply, Kit was all over him, and it set off a roaring inferno within him. His water bottle hit the floor, forgotten as Kit scrambled to climb him. Seth grabbed Kit’s ass, hauling him up so Kit could wrap his legs around Seth while Seth eagerly returned Kit’s desperate kisses. He walked to the counter, and sat Kit on top while Kit mauled his mouth. Their tongues battled for dominance as they tasted, sucked, and tried to consume one another.

Kit scraped fingernails down Seth’s chest before finding one of his nipples and giving it a twist.

“Fuck!” Seth sucked in a sharp breath, and dug his fingers into the plump round globes of Kit’s ass, releasing a moan at the feel of Kit’s hard length stabbing him in the stomach before Kit started rutting against him.

A door slammed somewhere in the hall, and they jerked apart. Seth stared at Kit’s kiss-swollen lips and flushed skin. There was nothing Seth wanted more than to bury himself inside the gorgeous man. They were both panting, and Kit adjusted himself, drawing Seth’s gaze to his groin and the mouthwatering bulge in his pants.

“Come home with me.”

“What?” It took Seth’s sex-hazed brain a moment to realize what Kit was saying. He took a step back, afraid of touching Kit and not being able to stop.

“Tonight, after work, meet me by my car, and come home with me. Please.”

“Kit, we can’t. If Frank finds out—”

“He won’t,” Kit promised, face flushed, eyes filled with need. He jumped off the counter and stopped in front of Seth to place his palms on Seth’s chest, eyes pleading. “I’m risking a lot for this, Seth. I don’t just want one night with you. If you feel the same, meet me tonight at my car.”

Seth opened his mouth to respond, but Kit shook his head and placed his fingers to Seth’s lips, moving them only to place a gentle kiss against his lips.

“I hope I’ll see you tonight,” Kit said softly before hurrying from the room.

Seth stood frozen to the spot. He’d known kissing Kit would change everything. Was it worth losing his job over? What would he do if Frank fired him, or Kit? They both knew what the consequences were. Was he willing to risk it all on an uncertainty? On Kit?
