Bad Boy's In Blue (A MFM Romance) by J.L. Beck, Kylie Carter (7)

CHAPTER SEVEN

DAVIN

After a sex filled and relaxing weekend with Elyse, Damon and I are back to patrolling the hallways of the college campus for the week. All the students in their matching uniforms rushed to their classrooms, in the distance I spotted Elyse and Haley talking just before they did their signature goodbyes and parted ways. My heart lurched as Elyse flipped her brown hair from her shoulder and turned down a different hallway. Damon and I walked toward the vending machines to grab some sodas.

“Damn, man. We really need to bring it up to her. We need to tell her how we really feel and officially make her ours.” I said to Damon as I twisted the cap of my soda, the fizzing sound pinging to my ears.

Damon let out a heavy sigh, and a smile stretched across his lips before he took a swig of his soda. “I know, we have to make it special though. She’s not just any girl, she’s our girl and we need to make sure she knows that. We need to make sure she knows that she’s our girl forever.” His jaw clenched, and he balled his fist, shaking it in my direction.

“What, brother?” I asked, puzzled.

“I never expected this, especially so soon. She’s just so fucking perfect and I don’t understand how we got this lucky. I almost feel guilty wanting to make her ours. I feel like she deserves more than us, but I know that we’ll do everything in our power to fulfill every single of her wishes.” He sighed heavily again.

“I know, I feel ya, brother. Elyse is something else, she’s different. She’s special.” My heart pounded in my chest as my feelings for Elyse grew by every thought of her.

“Let’s do it tonight.” We both looked at one another and nodded in agreement, listening to the calls on our radios.

Suddenly, Damon and I heard a familiar scream. The scream had instantly sent chills clear down to my bones. We both looked at one another as the terror in each of our eyes mirrored each other's, and then we took off running as fast as we could in the direction of the scream. The closer we got, we could hear sweet Elyse’s voice stained with fear.

“Stop it, Luke! Get the hell away from me, you need to get help.” Elyse choked out. She was being held by the throat up against the wall, her books scattered on the floor next to her.

“Luke,” Damon stated firmly, his strong voice echoing off the walls.

“Put her down, Luke.” I snarled, rage boiling in the pit of my stomach. My hands began to sweat, it took everything in me not to draw my gun and blow his head off of his neck. Damon being the more level headed out of us, at times, walked slowly toward them as Luke let his grip go from Elyse’s neck.

“Lookie here, Elyse… your little fuck buddies are here to save the day.” Luke mocked her and looked over at us, narrowing his eyes. My eyes made contact with his, his pupils large and dilated.

“Too much cocaine this morning for breakfast, Luke?” I growled as I stepped closer to him. Damon slowly reached out for Elyse and she ran into his arms, a tinge of jealousy coursed through my veins because I wanted to be the one to hold her and comfort her, wipe away her tears in this moment and reassure that nothing and no one in this world would ever harm her as long we’re around. Seeing the tears streaming down her delicate face, I had to look away. I couldn’t see her in pain like that.

“You don’t even know what you’re talking about.” Luke spat at the ground and puffed his chest out, causing the blood in my veins to grow hotter by the second.

“Your dilated pupils and your shaky behavior tell me something different, Luke. What is the issue you have with Miss Elyse?” My fists were clenched by my sides; I took stomp after stomp forward, envisioning crushing his skull into the hard floors with my boot.

“She’s a fucking tease, that’s what. The little bitch gave me blue balls, but I bet you two don’t know about that… do ya?” Luke snarled in Elyse’s direction and stepped closer toward me, our faces merely inches apart now. “Your guys’ little slut has been eyeing me up and down with those sultry bedroom eyes of hers for the last two years now… and when we finally had a chance, when I had her alone and shit got heated between us, she left without a word. Ran out. Told me it’s because she’s a virgin, but if that was really the case how come she’s getting pounded by you two pigs?” He asked through a sickening evil laugh.

“Put your hands up, Luke. Now.” I demanded, Luke swung at me and I caught his fist in my hand. Squeezing hard, feeling the bones in his fingers shift. I let go before I broke anything, I slipped a foot behind him at his knee causing him to buckle down and I shifted him onto his belly, grabbing his wrists and tightening the cuffs on him. I shot glance over at Damon and Elyse. The thought of her lips ever touching Luke’s made my skin crawl, and I wanted to punish her with my cock. Damon must have caught the look I was giving her and had the same feeling as I did since he looked back and forth between her and Luke and then to me with a pained and disgusted look upon his face.

“I-I swear that’s not how it happened!” Elyse stammered, tears beginning to fall upon her cheeks again. I hated seeing her in pain, I hated thinking that maybe Luke’s words were true, I hated knowing his hand was wrapped around her throat and we hadn’t been there just moments before. We could have stopped him from touching her. I wanted to torture him; I wanted to make him suffer.

“Shh…” Damon gently squeezed her shoulder, still comforting her.

“Damon, you get her out of classes for the day and get her home. I’m taking this piece of shit down to the station and then I’ll be home and we can talk with Elyse about everything.” I demanded.

“Ya know, if you two keep getting her out of classes the dean is going to catch wind of what you all have going on.” Luke chuckled evilly, and I pulled hard against the cuffs causing them to dig deeper into his wrists. “Ahh!” He winced in pain and a smile stretched my lips.

“What is it that we have going on, Luke?” Damon questioned him with a tone of anger. “You think you know, but you’ve got no idea. All you’ve heard are rumors…” Damon’s eyes pierced Luke’s, and I knew his blood was boiling too. If we could, we’d torture Luke and make him suffer for the tears he’s caused Elyse. Damon nodded toward me and guided Elyse by the small of her back out to his police cruiser and I pulled Luke firmly by his shoulders to my cruiser.

“You know my dad’s a lawyer, right? He’s going to end you and your brother’s careers as police officers. Just wait.” Luke’s words came out in fury.

“I’ll be getting every surveillance video from that hallway in the last hour and you’ll be sitting jail for a while, buddy.” I clenched my jaw and tried to hold my composure, to keep myself from doing something stupid and losing my career.

He wasn’t going to get away this, not if we had anything to do with it. We would end him.
