Cavalier (Crimson Elite Book 1) by T.L. Smith (29)

29

Creed

She’s always so lethargic after, it’s like she falls into a coma. I stroke the hair out of her face and listen as she starts to softly snore. I wasn’t lying when I told her, I just didn’t want to admit it until that very moment. Even if it was one of the worst moments to do so. Not giving her a chance to respond, I fucked her until I knew she’d fall asleep and not respond, because I know her. Even if I don’t know all her parts, I know her. I plan to learn each and every part. We may not end up perfect, we may not end up the happiest couple to ever walk this earth, but one thing I know for sure is that I will have room in my heart to love her.

Turning her over I stroke her back lightly as I look around the room. It’s cluttered with baby things, they’re everywhere but there’s no room to set them up because this place is way too small. We can’t raise a child here, we’ll have no room to get around. And I know she won’t want to move into my place—not after what she saw.

Calling my Ma, she answers on the first ring while Elicea stays asleep next to me.

“I need you to acquire me another house, preferably one close to you.”

She goes silent for a second on her end. “What for?”

I knew she’d ask. She’s disappointed in me, to her Elicea is perfect, and she wants her to be with us. She wants her to be happy.

“She won’t stay at mine. Her place is too small. I need to buy a bigger house, and I know you’ll want it closer to you as well. Plus, she’ll need the help when I’m working.”

“I love you, Creed.”

“I love you, too, Ma,” I tell her back.

It’s not often I tell her that. But some days she needs to hear it. She’s the best mother I could ever ask for, without a doubt.

“Now tell me—is she aware you’re doing this? Because she doesn’t do well with handouts.” I grumble, hating and loving that she knows her so well already, but she reads everyone as if they’re a book.

“It won’t be a handout, I want it in both names. It will be ours.”

“Lucky for you I bought you a house last week—two streets away.”

“Ma.”

She chuckles on the cell. “I’ll get the deed organized to yours and Elicea’s name, and all I ask is that you let me babysit.” Then she hangs up. She doesn’t let me say thank you, she once told me you should never say thank you to a family member. It’s what family is for, showing your appreciation and caring for them is enough.

Reaching for the photograph of our baby that Elicea left on the nightstand, I take a picture of it and send it to my mother. She sends back crying emojis.

“You left her again, didn’t you?” Darby questions, shaking his head.

“What? No. She was asleep,” I answer truthfully.

He looks past me and shrugs, then turns away.

I see her walking toward me, clearly angry as she stalks to me. “You tell me you love me, then you leave me?”

“What?” I ask her confused.

“You ran off. Is this going to be a thing with you?” Her hands are crossed over her chest and as I look down, her tits seem so much larger.

“I didn’t run off, and no it won’t be an occurrence. I had business to handle.”

“Business?” she grunts as she says it. “What the fuck am I then? Business as well?”

I step forward, my hands going to touch her, but she swipes them away as they fall back to my side. “You know you aren’t. What I came in for was for us. Now would you like to calm down so we can sort it out?”

“I’m calm.”

This time when I grab her, I don’t let her push me away. I take hold of her and bring her to me so our lips are a sliver apart. “You aren’t, but I like the way your tits rise and fall when you aren’t.” Her mouth opens wide then slams shut when she doesn’t have a comeback. “Now would you like to see what I bought us?”

She shakes her head. “No. I don’t want you buying anything for me.”

“Good, we bought it. Does that make you feel better?”

“I didn’t sign up to buy anything.”

“You did. When I bought your apartment for you.”

“I didn’t want it in the first place.”

Looking down, her tits rise and fall, and it takes everything in me to not reach down and kiss them. Everywhere.

“I knew you wouldn’t want to live at mine, and yours is too small. So, please, hold onto your anger for when I’m fucking you and come for a drive.”

She nods her head but she’s still clearly angry.

“If I kiss you, will you bite me?”

“More than likely,” she answers truthfully.

“Fuck it! What’s a little kink—it never hurt anyone,” I say then swing around to kiss her lips. It takes her a moment to kiss me back and when she does, she bites down hard on my lip and I can taste my blood. She smiles against my lips and deepens the kiss as she now holds me to her like I’m a magnet and we can’t get close enough.

“I’m still angry at you. Don’t think a fuck and a kiss will make everything better.” I laugh and start walking out to the car. She gets in as I begin to drive. She smiles as we pass my mother’s house and stop at a smaller two-story home, this one without a basement. Which I am hoping will make her happy.

“What’s this place?” She slides out of the car before I can even make it around to her.

“Our place.”

Her eyes go wide as she looks back to me. “This is what you bought for us?” She coughs. “A fucking house.” She shakes her head and walks back to the car trying to pull the handle open, but I locked it in advance knowing exactly how she’d react.

She turns, her eyes zoomed in on me. “Open the damn door.”

Walking to her I offer her my hand, but she looks to it as if it could poison her. “Come and see the house. Movers are already at yours. So you might as well tell me if you like it.”

“We aren’t a thing, Creed, you can’t do this. It’s not normal.”

Stepping up to her so I am inches away from her lips, I get even closer when I respond to her. “We are a thing. We will forever be a thing. You just have to get used to it.”

She laughs and takes my hand, so I pull her up to the house I haven’t even seen yet.

“Do you like it? You already have a place,” she says as I reach the door which is unlocked thanks to my mother.

“I haven’t seen it.”

Walking in, I stop when she pulls me back her eyes wide with worry.

“You bought a house you haven’t seen?” She shakes her head. “Are you insane?”

I shrug. “Maybe. But Ma bought it. Then I bought it off of her, and I trust her judgment.”

“What about your place?” she asks me.

Looking away from her we start walking in. “I’ll keep mine, for work.” She shivers and I know she knows what I mean by those words.

“I’ll never have to see it again?” she asks.

“No, you won’t.”

“Good, I don’t want to.” She walks in letting go of my hand. Her fingers brush against the kitchen counter, and she turns back to me with tears in her eyes. “I didn’t ask for this, but I wanted all of this.” She waves her hands around the room. “It reminds me of home, but I didn’t want this bought for me. It was something I wanted to do on my own. It’s not that I’m not appreciative, I am. It’s just—my dream given to me by someone else.”

I’ve not seen her this upset, ever. I don’t know what to do or what to say to her to make it better. I get what she’s saying, she doesn’t want handouts. But it’s not a handout when we’re starting our life together, is it?

My hands wrap around her pulling her to me.

“This baby makes me emotional,” she says wiping her tears on my shirt. She tries to pull back, but I keep her there.

“This isn’t just me, Elicea, I wouldn’t want this if it weren’t with you. So don’t think that, and if it makes you happy you can pay for the groceries. Lord knows I hate people, and groceries involve people.”

Elicea laughs and it’s exactly what I want. She pulls back and leans up to kiss my lips.

“How do you make me forgive you so fast?” she asks me.

I smile showing all my teeth. “It’s my charm.”

She laughs again. “You, Creed, have no fucking charm. But you do have a magical mouth and cock.”

“I take that as a challenge.”

“Challenge accepted.”

“Now bend over, let’s christen this place.”

“If you could not, that would be fucking great,” Echo says as he walks in. My hands are already down her shirt grabbing her swells of perfect tits, and she yelps and buries herself on my chest again.

“Why are you fucking here, Echo?” I mutter, hating that he chose this exact moment to come inside, just as I was about to enter my perfect fucking heaven.

“Delivery, you asshole. No ‘thank you Echo for being such a supportive friend. I’m going to make you God-daddy of my new child’. No, I get ‘fuck you Echo, leave’, after everything I’ve done for you.”

“Thank you, Echo,” Elicea says, fixing the front of her shirt as she pulls off me.

Echo smiles in triumph as she walks over to him. “You, miss, can have your things. His—” He points to me. “I’m going to burn yours.”

She turns back to me. “Have you ever lived with a woman before?” she asks with a smile.

“My Ma.”

She chuckles. “It’s going to be interesting.”

Pointing to the door, Echo looks at me as if he has no idea what I’m meaning. “Leave, I plan to fuck my woman.”

“Ewww, man, I did not need to know. But since I do, can I watch?”

I throw the nearest thing to me at his head. He ducks as he closes the door behind him. Stalking to her, I pick her up, carrying her to the kitchen as she lifts her dress.

“One plus about being pregnant, I’m always horny,” she says as I manage to free my cock. She slides down straight on it, already wet, and drops her head back.

“I can hear you.”

Elicea laughs but doesn’t stop moving.

“Tell me again,” she whispers on my lips.

I know what she wants to hear, and to some it might even bother them that she hasn’t said it back. But she has, she just doesn’t know it yet.

“I love you, Elicea Beckham. Never fucking leave me.”

Her lips close over mine as she whispers, riding my cock, “I won’t.”
