Declyn (The Wolves Den Book 3) by Serena Simpson (5)

Chapter Five

She was on fire as she licked the seam of his mouth. He opened quickly drawing her in. His tongue moved against hers making her feel like she was about to go up in flames.

His hands moved over her calming her down, keeping her from shaking as he pulled her closer to him. Her arms went around his neck as he pulled her onto his lap. His tongue was learning her mouth, taking her on a sensuous voyage. This kiss made her want to do it forever.

She leaned close and rubbed her hard nipples against his chest. The were beaded up so tightly they hurt and yet she wanted them harder and his hands or his mouth on them. Her mind showed her a dirty little picture of him screwing her chest. Her tongue coming out to lick the end of his dick when it got close to her mouth. Why exactly was she wearing panties? They provided no protection at all.

He pulled back.

Why did he pull back?

Aren’t we good enough?

I want some dick? Is that too much to ask for?

Her head fell to his chest as she settled herself on his thick thighs. Where did he come from? It must be an island that was closed off. She didn’t blame them if women knew males like this existed even the elderly would be vacationing there.

He leaned down and placed a kiss on the corner of her mouth.

“You stopped.” Her voice was soft and stopped just short of an accusation.

“I told you tonight wasn’t about sex. How was I supposed to stop if you kept kissing me like that?”

I knew it he wants us.

Look at his eyes blaze in desire.

Damn, she was supposed to be ignoring the voices. Instead, she was looking at his eyes. They were blazing, and that fire inside of her was still cranking. She wanted him. Was it the alcohol? Her head shook, but she knew he was right, tonight shouldn’t be about sex.

“What next?”

“How about we get some sleep?”

“You want to stay and sleep in the same bed with me, but no sex?”

“Let’s call it getting to know each other.”

She nodded. This wasn’t something she would normally do, but he was already vetted by Deja, who would have razed that club if she thought he would hurt her.

She thought Fire would hurt him. Hurt attacked her for a minute before she put those thoughts behind her. It was no longer her birthday, but she was going to claim it was until she woke up. Since it was her birthday, she could sleep in Declyn’s arms.

She walked away so she could grab a tee and a pair of shorts, this way she couldn’t be accused of trying to tempt him.

“What are you going to sleep in?” She was back in the living room noticing that he pulled his shirt off. Who was trying to tempt who?

“I’ll just sleep in my pants unless you have a pair of jogging pants I can borrow.”

Her eyes closed fast as she tried not to laugh at the picture she had in her mind.

“I do have a pair, but you might not want to put them on.”

“I’ll wear them. I’m sure my masculinity will survive them and the laughter you’re trying to hide.”

He swatted her on the ass making her stop. It was a sign of possession. What made her stop was the fact that she might like to be one with him for more than a day, week, or month. I’m getting in over my head.

It was the pounding on her door that had her stopping this time.

“Who is it?”

“Jim, open up the door.” That was hollered from the other side.

She went and looked through the peephole. It was Sage’s boyfriend. The one that liked to beat on women.

“What do you want?”

“I said open this door, or I will kick it down.”

“Hell no.”

The door rattled as something hard rammed into it.

Declyn caught her before she could respond or go for her cell phone.

“Open the door.” He whispered into her ear.

“I said open the door. I’m going to teach you what it means to mess with me.”

She walked over and opened the door stepping back when she did. He stepped into the room aiming his fist at her face. Declyn picked him up around his neck and held him against the wall.

“Tell me you weren’t about to hit my female.”

Jim’s face was turning red.

“He can’t breathe.”

Declyn dropped him. “Make one move and your dead. Why are you here?”

“Your B…your nasty ass girlfriend is hiding my woman.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I know she’s in this apartment. I caught you talking to her earlier.”

“I can talk to whoever I want. If I remember correctly she went running to you when you called. I can’t help it if you don’t know how to keep your sledgehammers to yourself.”

“Why you.” He tried to get up. Declyn kicked him.

“Not one move.”

“Sage isn’t here, but if she were, I would help her. Get out of my doorway and stay away from me. I don’t have a problem with calling the cops.”

“If something happens to her you’re the first person I’ll be looking for.” Declyn shut the door just missing his face.

“Who is Sage?”

“She’s his girlfriend. The one he likes to take his fist to.”

“Do you know where she is?”

“No, she told me she was going to escape. All she asked was that if she ever called me that I would answer my cell.”

“Will you answer your cell?”

“Yes.”

“You let me know if she calls I’ll help you both.”

“Why? I mean most people don’t want to get involved. I'm not negative it’s just that a lot of us have learned the best way to keep living is to mind our own business.”

“I am responsible for the health and welfare of every person under me. If I lose one, it tears me apart, but I don’t have the luxury to stop. I have to keep on going. If you claim her as your friend, then she becomes one of mine, and now her life becomes part of my responsibility.”

“There is a logical answer to what you just said, a way to refute your words. It’s too early in the morning right now to find it.” She walked into the room to get a pair of joggers. She could have reached for a gray pair. Instead, she reached for the purple ones with the white hearts.

She bit her lower lip when she held them out to him.

“They are umm nice. I can see you in them.”

“Right now, all I want to see is you in them.”

“I’m beginning to think you’re a brat. Deja explained the term to us.”

He smiled and kicked off his shoes and then his socks. Then he placed his hand on the waistband of his jeans that were already unbuttoned and unzipped. One shove had them falling about his ankles.

Her mouth opened and closed like she was a fish flopping out of the water. Her cheeks felt warm as her hands went up to them. Her eyes, dear Lord, he was hung.

She turned around quickly, and half walked, half ran to the bedroom.

“I’ll be in here when you’re ready.” His laughter followed her.

How was she supposed to get any sleep now? Wasn’t it illegal for any male to be that big?

Do we really care about the legality of the size of his dick?

You tell her!

All we want is to play hide the dick or the bat if you have trouble with the word dick.

The bed made a loud noise as it hit the back of the wall from her throwing herself on it. Curling up in a ball she buried herself in the cover and hoped that by the time he came in, she would either be asleep or enraptured in the thought of paint drying.

“I turned out all the lights.”

She peeped out the covers to look at him. His seven-foot frame was covered in her joggers that made it a little way past his knees. She thought they would be too big for him, but he was thick and wide, all of it muscle. The purple joggers with white hearts made her want him more. He looked masculine in them.

“Come to bed.” Her voice was low and sultry even as she waited for just one voice to tell her to stop it. Remember she was a grown up and didn’t do things like this.

He switched off the overhead light plunging the room into darkness except for the moonlight coming through the window. The bed dipped causing her to roll towards him.

The heat of his chest warmed her back as he pulled her into his arms.

“I never had a first date like this.”

“That means I’m not alone in this.”

“Have you always owned a club?”

“No for more years than I like to remember I fought.”

“You were in the military?”

The pillow moved as he nodded his answer.

“What’s it like to fight?”

“It’s war. There are times there aren’t supplies. No food or water. No bandages or a doctor. If only those were the things that stayed with you. Death haunts you. It could be your battalion or the enemies battalion. Each death haunts you.”

“What about your death?”

“I’m supposed to survive. I’m in charge I’ve been bred to survive, and still, I know that my death can come as quickly as one of my male’s.”

“Were you ever married? Do you have any children?”

“There has never been someone special in my life until tonight.”

“Tonight?”

“When I met you.”

I knew what he meant.

It’s too soon to call it special.

I’ve waited a lifetime for him, and I’m not giving him up. I suggest all of you get on board because I’m keeping Declyn. Her alien side told them all.

You don’t even know him. That was fear.

No, the one that doesn’t know him is you.

She listened to all the voices in her head, and she snuggled deeper into Declyn’s arms. She was missing something. Hopefully, the light of day would clarify it for her.
