Dr. Travis, I Love You: A Secret Baby Medical Romance by Cassandra Dee, Katie Ford (4)

Travis

To my amazement, Janie stood at at my door, soaking wet. Hungrily, my eyes washed over her perfect body, taking in every inch of that curvy body. I wanted to pull her close, peel off those wet clothes, and keep her warm all night long.

“Are you alright?” I asked.

“I got caught in the rain,” she explained helplessly.

“Here, let me get you a towel.” I ushered her inside.

“I don’t want to make a mess of your apartment.” She nibbled her bottom lip in hesitation. Droplets were already spattering the hardwood floor.  But did I care?  No.

“Don’t worry about it. I rather get you nice and warm,” was my growl. When she still didn’t move, I was forced to take her by the wrist and gently pull her inside. As soon as I touched the female, a spark of desire flared inside my soul. I wanted this girl. Bad. But right now, the one thing that mattered was getting her dry. “Why don’t you get out of those wet clothes before you get sick?”

Instantly, her cheeks turned red at my comment. “Um…”

“I’ll get you a robe, don’t worry,” were my reassuring words.  I left her alone for a moment, dashing into the bathroom to grab a big, fluffy towel as well as my own personal robe. “Here, take this.  Make yourself comfortable.”

“Thanks,” she blushed.  “I really appreciate it.”

A grin broke over my face.

“Did you need me to call the maintenance man or something? I’m assuming you got locked out of your apartment and that’s why you’re here?”

She nodded. “If you don’t mind, that would help so much.”

“Of course.” Urging her on, I pushed her toward the bathroom, placing my hand on the small of her back. “But you really should hurry. I’d feel terrible if you caught a cold and had to see me at the hospital.”

She smiled in return, cheeks going pink.

“Okay.”  And with that, the brunette disappeared into the bathroom.

As she walked away, I couldn’t help but stare at her cute little bum and the way her hips swayed back and forth. Janie really was an amazingly gorgeous woman with plenty to hold.

But these thoughts were wrong.  I shouldn’t be thinking like this about my beautiful neighbor.  So wanting to make her as comfortable as possible, I headed for the kitchen to make some tea. As the kettle simmered, I grabbed some biscuits, arranging them on a plate. Hopefully, she’d like them.

With everything arranged on a tray, I carried the offering out to the living room, placing it carefully on the coffee table. The sound of the shower running hit my ears, and instantly, my mind imagined what she must look like, naked, under a stream of water.  Shit.  What I wouldn’t do to be in there with Janie, hands gliding along her body, lips on her neck, making her feel better than ever before.

I wanted to cherish and pamper her. Maybe, just maybe, tonight would be my night. The thought made me smile.

About to call the maintenance man, I picked up my phone but then I stopped myself. If I called him, then my plan would be ruined.  She’d be able to get into her apartment, and we’d go our separate ways again.

Almost guiltily, I put down the phone because I wanted to spend time with the beautiful brunette, and an opportunity had opened on this stormy night.

Now, all I had to do was wait.

About twenty minutes later, Janie emerged from the bathroom, skin pink and flushed. She looked absolutely adorable patting her hair dry while swathed in my enormous men’s robe.

“Thank you for all this,” the girl murmured, clutching the terrycloth material tight against her body. “It’s very kind of you.”

“Don’t worry about it. What are neighbors for?” Stepping past the female, I grabbed her wet clothes off the bathroom floor, tossing them in the wash. “You’re free to stay here until your clothes dry. I made you some tea.”

“Oh, you didn’t have to do that,” she demurred.

“Of course I did,” I said with a smile. “But if you really want to warm up, I’d recommend a shot of whiskey. It does wonders.  I prescribe that to all my patients as a preventative measure,” was my droll remark.

She laughed then, a deep belly laugh that made her breasts shake.

“Whiskey? I’m not much of a drinker,” was her reply.

“All you need is one shot and it’ll fix you right up. You know, as a doctor, people ask me all the time what the best medicines are and I always tell them that it’s whiskey. Nothing works quite as well.”

“Really?”

“I promise. In fact, you can add some to your tea and it’ll do you a world of good. Trust me.”

Janie bit her bottom lip with mirth in those caramel eyes.

Sensing her hesitation, I came up behind her, wrapping my arm around that thick waist. “Don’t worry, nothing is going to happen.  A little alcohol is good for the soul.” As I spoke, my hand ran up and down her back in a soothing motion. “Why don’t we sit by the fireplace? I’ll toss a few logs on.”

She smiled then.

“Sure,” came that soft voice. “I appreciate it.”

All I wanted to do was pull her into my embrace and never let go. There was something so precious about this girl that I wanted to cherish and protect forever. But I couldn’t explain where these feelings were coming from, not even to myself.  After all, we knew almost nothing about each other, except this strong physical attraction burning in the pit of my stomach.

But first things first.  Together, we headed for the fireplace where I grabbed a blanket and placed it on the ground. “Make yourself comfortable.”

“Okay.” Gracefully, the girl sank down cross-legged, making sure to keep herself decent.

I smiled raffishly before feeding wood to the fire. Instantly, the flames intensified, radiating warmth throughout the room. “I love having a fireplace,” was my casual remark, watching that curvy form from the corner of my eye.  “It’s perfect on a stormy night.”

“Yes, this is really nice,” she chimed, holding out her hands to the fire and warming them.

“Are you cold?” I asked curiously.  “I can turn the heat on higher if you want.”

“A little bit,” she admitted.  “Even the shower wasn’t enough,” she said ruefully.  “I tend to run cold at all times.  If you put me in the North Pole, I’d probably turn into a popsicle.”

Well, there was a solution for that.

“Here.” I took her hands in mine, gripping them tight between my blunt fingers. “This should help.”

She blushed crimson, trying to look away from me but our eyes were locked, caramel brown mixing with blue.

Damn. Janie was beautiful and I could already feel myself leaning in, unable to help myself. She was just too tempting to resist, those plush lips beckoning like forbidden fruit.

But suddenly, the girl spoke.

“Um… do you think I could have that tea now?” the words came quickly, pulling her hands away.

Hmmm.  Maybe I was moving too fast for her. The last thing I wanted to do was scare away this gorgeous girl.

“Of course. Do you want me to add the whiskey to it or are you good for now?”

Another smile flashed across her face, making my knees go weak.

“Do you really think it will make a difference?” she asked softly.

“Yes. Whiskey is the best remedy for a cold. Beats anything you could buy at the pharmacy. That’s a fact.” I said with a chuckle.

“Well, you’re the doctor, so I’m in no place to argue,” the girl relented. “So I guess I’ll take a shot with my tea.” And once again, she offered me a smile. It was breathtaking. I found myself staring at Janie like a buffoon frozen in place. My lungs literally burned, forgetting how to breathe.

Luckily, I composed myself in record time, crossing the room to grab her tea, bringing it over to my liquor cabinet. There, I poured an ample shot into her mug. “Here.” I offered her the drink before sitting down with one of my own. “Let me know what you think.”

Slowly, she took a sip, her face scrunching up at the taste of it before coughing a bit.

“Do you not like it?” I asked, patting the curve of her back.

“It’s just… strong,” she said between gasps.

I laughed. “That’s the point. Whiskey has this amazing ability to wake up the body. It makes you feel alive, you know?”

“Yeah, I’m starting to feel it,” she giggled. “Thank you for this, Travis.  I really appreciate you putting yourself out like this.”

“You don’t have to keep thanking me. What kind of man would I be if I just ignored you? You needed my help and I helped, that’s all.”

The brunette blushed, looking down at her cup. “It’s just that no one has treated me this nicely before. Chivalry seems to be dead in the modern age, you know?  So this is really different.”

I laughed.

“Well, everyone else is a goddamn fool because a girl like you should be treated like a queen.” Gently, I pinned a strand of her still-wet hair behind her ear. “You’re beautiful,” I whispered, kissing her cheek.

Her blush deepened, fingers tightening around the cup.

“Are you nervous?” I asked, moving even closer, hand resting on her hip. “You can tell me to stop whenever you want. I won’t get mad.”

Confusion swirled in Janie’s eyes, but then she took a deep breath and shook her head. “I don’t want you to stop,” was her breathy murmur, looking into my eyes.

Our lips were inches apart. I could feel her hot breath mixing with mine, tangling together in a steamy mist.

“What do you want, Janie?” Carefully, I grabbed her mug and placed it on the coffee table so it wouldn’t spill.

This time, the brunette didn’t hesitate.

“You,” she whispered, leaning closer, pressing her chest against mine. There was a hungry look in her eye. She wanted me, the desire evident in those caramel pools.

Perfect, because I wanted her too.

In a flash, I had my arms wrapped around her waist, pinning the curvy against my body, foreheads pressed together as I gazed into those beautiful depths. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do this.  Ever since I first laid eyes on you, you’ve been running around my head, tempting me with that delicious body of yours. But you’re mine now.” I growled, letting my lips trail along the side of her neck, nibbling at that delicate flesh.

“Travis,” she moaned, tilting her head back and exposing the delicate curve of her neck even further.

“That’s it” I murmured. “Just let me take control and I’ll make this a night you’ll never forget.” As I spoke, my hand roamed down her body, finding the opening to the robe. Quickly, I undid the knot at her waist, exposing those lovely chest.

I pulled away from her neck, glancing down at those luscious, juicy Double Ds.  Oh wow.  My mouth watered taking in the creamy white sacks topped with hard pink tips.  I wanted to suckle and make her moan, the girl writhing with pleasure and ecstasy as she creamed hard.

Oh yeah, this was going to be one hell of a night.
