His Stubborn Lover (Billionaire Alaskan Men Series Book 1) by Kylie Knight (20)

Part 2

Spring mornings in Wyoming on the Wandering Bison Ranch were blissful. From the moment she opened her eyes until her two-year-old Jason Beauregard (JB) called her name, Jackie Savage had her moment of Zen. Unless of course, her husband Beau rolled over which was often the case.

“I think we have time before our son begins screaming.” Beau grabbed a naked Jackie around the waist before she had a chance to throw on her silk negligee.

“Mm. I can never resist you in the mornings. You are very sexy with your hair tousled and that smoldering smile,” Jackie purred.

As Beau pulled his wife in towards his muscular body, JB wailed.

“He’s punctual. I’ll give him that. JB must get that from my side of the family; all the men in the Savage clan are up at dawn. I bet even pops is rolling over at this very moment,” Beau said as he put on his boxers.

JB was nearly two years old and his parents still fought over who was going to be the first to pick him up. Jackie and Beau had a shotgun wedding after a whirlwind courtship. Jackie always joked that a shotgun wedding was appropriate for a cowboy. Beau had gone from jet setting lothario to family man in two years but he settled into his new role seamlessly. They spent most of the winter in the Caribbean but Beau kept one foot in Wyoming for business and to keep an eye on his 92-year old Grandfather Jason Savage.

“You beat me again. I liked it when JB preferred me when I was the food source.”

“Since you insist on getting JB out of his crib, you’re on breakfast duty. I’m going to pick up Pops so he can spend the day up here with us. I’ll fix some brunch and we’ll all take a walk out to the stables. We have to savor the moments when we have Pops with us because face it; he’s 92 and things are winding down,” Jackie said.

“Pops is going to live until he’s 100 at least. I have no doubt about that but if you insist on a family day then I’m in. We can get my grandfather on a horse and I bet he out rides both of us. He’s a cowboy born and bred so get the old coot up here; I’m sure he’s raring to go.

“I’m going to pull on a pair of jeans and my boots before I go. Eggs scrambled for JB if you think you can handle it.”

“You doubt me?”

“Yes I do Beau. You were giving our son elk jerky the other day and mixing coffee in with his milk.” Jackie laughed. “Good thing I didn’t marry you for your culinary skills. Why don’t you have Eve fix Master Savage his breakfast?” She winked.

“Mommy, Poop!” JB was good at signaling the need for a diaper change.

“Bye Beau. I’m off to get Pops.”

Jackie kissed her son goodbye leaving Beau to change a messy diaper, which she knew he wouldn’t change. As she walked away, she heard him calling Eve. Beau had taken to be a father well but he was not involved in the changing of diapers. He also would refuse to wake up in the middle of the night when JB was an infant. Jackie hopped in her convertible with the top down and took off for Pop’s house which was about a mile away. The sun was warm on her shoulders and the fields and rolling hills were just beginning to turn green. Life was good.

Jackie walked up the wooden front steps, trying not to wake Beau’s grandfather. He often fell asleep on his favorite chair under the shadow of his cowboy hat. She nudged him to wake him gently from his slumber.

“Hey Pops. It’s Jackie here to take you up to the house. I’m sure you’re in the middle of a good dream and I hate to interrupt.”

Jackie lifted his cowboy hat and shook him by the hand. It was cold and Jason Savage was dead. She didn’t panic because she had never seen a more peaceful passage. The coffee mug next to his chair was full but cold so she predicted he had been on the porch for hours. Maybe he was viewing his last sunset when he died. Jackie grabbed her phone and dialed Beau.

“Hey I called ahead to the stable and they’re getting some horses ready. Tell Pops that”

Jackie interrupted Beau mid-sentence. “Pops is dead Beau. He appears to have passed away peacefully in his sleep. Call the ambulance or the coroner; I don’t know which because I’ve never been in this situation before. I’ll stay until you get here. Ask Eve if she can stay for the day and make sure, she’s available for the next several days. Beau. Beau?”

Beau dropped the phone, barked at Eve; and sped his truck to his grandfather’s house. The look on Beau’s face was one Jackie had never seen. He looked scared and mad; Beau was out of control because he had just lost his best friend and mentor.

“What the fuck Jackie. Oh, Beau call the coroner. I’m surprised you didn’t ask me to pick up a gallon of milk on the way over. You’re acting like this happens every day. Jason Savage is an important man in case you weren’t aware of that. He’s also the only person on the planet who truly understands me.”

Sirens were blaring as the ambulance raced up the dirt road to the ranch. Beau waved them on to the porch where the paramedics moved the body off the chair and checked his vitals. Police cars followed and began asking questions and taking notes.

“Was Eve able to stay with JB?”

“No, Jackie. I left the kid at the kitchen table doing the crossword,” Beau snapped sarcastically.

The police chief approached Jackie.

“I’m assuming there won’t be an investigation into this death. Mr. Savage was 92 and there appears to have been no foul play. If anything changes let me know. The gentleman with the coroner’s office will be interested in knowing where you want the body taken.”

Beau interrupted. “Our family always uses McAllister’s. They know the drill because they handled the deaths of both of my parents.”

“Beau, I know your Grandfather had plans to be cremated. He had specific instructions that I know he had notarized and kept with his will. Our attorney has everything and we’ll handle it from here. Thank you Chief Lipton.

The chief walked away and Beau began to shake his head in anger. It was a tense time so Jackie tried to be patient and allowed Beau to take it out on her.

“You’re new to the Savage family Jackie. We’ve had people die in this family before and the procedure is always the same. To have a proper funeral, we need a casket and cemetery service. Pops will be laid to rest next to my father at the Mountain of Souls. The view is great and he’ll be with loved ones. The savage family has the finest plot in the state and they keep it meticulously manicured.”

Jackie was not about to argue and let the matter fall to their attorney Gil Bridger. She was mostly concerned with getting home to JB who was probably wondering what happened to Mom.

Tina Dorsette was relaxing on the deck of her oceanfront condominium in Malibu, when she picked up her tablet. She made it a habit to keep up with the news that mattered. Tina was a fixture on the elite social scene of the West Coast; she needed to maintain her relevance at cocktail parties and other events. Who married, divorced or died was important information. The embarrassment caused by not recognizing a person’s death by sending condolences to their loved ones would be catastrophic. Tina had been a catwalk model based in Paris for years but she retired and showed up in the occasional print advertisement. She could be found in the pages of Vogue or the New York Times style section, wearing something ridiculously expensive and looking pissed off. Her relationships were fodder for the tabloids because she dated professional athletes or the occasional older billionaire. Tina flipped her long golden hair and her amber eyes widened.

“Oh shit. This is big.” Tina sat up, exposing her bare boobs.

“What’s up T?” Her friend Sasha asked.

They were both nude sunbathing by their infinity pool.

“Jason Savage finally kicked the bucket. Making his grandson Beau have more money than anyone I know. I remember Beau was very close to the man so I think I’ll have to make it a point to attend the funeral in Cheyenne.”

“Isn’t Beau married to some chick named Jackie? I think they had a kid,” Sasha said as she dipped her toes in the pool.

“All true but you know what happens to a woman’s body after she has a child. I never took Beau to be a family man so I wonder how he’s holding up.”

“Careful Tina, You’re supposed to be rehabilitating your image after the Tim Randall affair. He was married with two children under five. You’ve been labeled a home wrecking hoe and your PR people were pissed.”

“Don’t overreact Sasha. It was great PR because now my name is known. It wasn’t a scandal that I can’t handle and I really feel bad for Beau. He probably needs a friend who understands him and we go way back. I helped him decorate his apartment in Paris and I probably still have a key to the place; I’m sure the doorman still knows me.”

“Do you need company on your trip to Cheyenne?” Sasha asked.

“Sure what the heck although most of my time will be spent with dear friend Beau. I’m going to buy a tasteful black dress for the service, get my highlights touched up and have my pussy waxed for the occasion.”

“Some occasion Tina — a person died.” Sasha laughed.

Tina Dorsette and her pal Sasha managed to hop on a charter with friends who were also going to the funeral, taking place at a church in Cheyenne. They rented a black SUV when they landed. There were many similar vehicles in Southeastern Wyoming that week because Jason Savage had many wealthy friends. He owned half the land in Wyoming and 1/3 of Montana. He was one of the West’s most prominent land barons. He just thought of himself as a cowboy with good luck. Tina used her GPS to navigate her way to the Clear Creek Resort owned by Beau and Jackie Savage.

A laminated sign in the resort lobby was a photo of Beau and Jackie Savage, co-owners of the resort. They were both decked out in western attire. His arm was thrown around her shoulder and they were smiling broadly. Tina shook her head and continued to the front desk.

“Tina Dorsette checking in. I requested a suite with a view,”

“This is an all-suite property. Every room has some type of view. We only offer so many with a panoramic view of the mountains and those were booked long before Mr. Savage’s funeral was scheduled.”

“I’m a close friend of Beau, I mean Mr. Savage. See if you can sneak me into a mountain view room with a terrace.”

“I mean no disrespect Ms. Dorsette but most of the folks in town to pay respects are close to the family. I’m sure you’ll find room 211 up to your standards.”

Tina continued to check-in, as did Sasha. Tina Dorsette did not like being treated like everyone else and she made a metal note of less than stellar front desk experience.

Jackie was sitting on the floor of the solarium with JB. The sun was pouring in and she was enjoying the best part of her day. Motherhood had come as a surprise as she never imagined herself a domestic goddess. Having JB infused new life into the ranch. Before his death, Jason Savage noticed the changes and was pleased that his legacy would live on in his great-grandson.

“How’s my little man and devastatingly beautiful wife? I owe you an apology Jackie. I’ve been difficult over the past few days and you’ve let me steam roll over you and your ideas. You wrote the obituary, which was amazing. You organized packets for all the out of town guests and set-up the open house tribute. You haven’t missed a beat with the little guy either because JB seems happy.”

Jackie smiled as she chased JB before he tore into one of the dozens of flower arrangements that were delivered.

“JB is happy that we’re having a party as he calls it. He’s a little disappointed that there are no balloons and he still doesn’t grasp the concept of Pops being gone. I bought him a new cowboy hat to wear. I’m excited to show him off and introduce everyone to Jason Savage’s great-grandson.

“I still can’t believe he’s gone. He was my touchstone in many ways. For the first time I’m the patriarch of the Savage family and I don’t know if I’m ready for it. It feels as if all the fun in my life is over and it’s time to get down to business.”

“Pops had been retired for years and you’ve already taken over the running of Savage Enterprises. You’ve done a great job, if I may add. The recession could have been disastrous but you managed to make the company as big and as profitable as ever. You have so much to be thankful for Beau.”

JB came running into Beau’s arms. “Daddy. Where Pops?”

He handed JB to Jackie. “I need a drink. Many of my buddies whom I haven’t seen for a while are in town so I’m gonna head over to the resort and throw back a few.”

“Don’t drive home. We don’t want anything to happen to the man we love.” Jackie kissed Beau. “When JB goes down for his nap I’m gonna hit the gym. It’s been almost two years so I can’t use baby weight as an excuse anymore for a couple of extra pounds.”

“I’m not complaining Jackie. You’re as beautiful as ever.” He slapped her ass.

Their home gym was as big as many public facilities. Variety was not an issue. There were free weights, machines, Pilate’s equipment and a yoga cove. If she had gained any weight, it was in her boobs so it was more of a bonus than anything. Jackie had never been more happy and confident with her body and she was certain Beau felt the same.

Beau walked into the lounge at Clear Creek, which Jackie recently renovated as a birthday present. She used the same decorator who did his office so it was rustic but elegant. The heavy wood décor and mounted stags on the walls gave it a clubby feel.

“Hey gentlemen, mind if I join you.” Beau approached a table of old friends whom he had not seen in years. Many of them were from his days in Boulder, Colorado.

“We knew you’d come by. I speak for everyone when I give you my condolences. Jason Savage lived a good life. We’re honored to be here so we can celebrate his life, which was pretty spectacular. Let us know if there’s anything we can do for ya.” Johnathan (Jono) Trout was both a business associate and friend. He owned a commercial real-estate firm.

“There is something I need from you guys.” Beau said and they all looked at him. “I need you to get me really drunk.”

They roared, raised their glasses and flagged down the server.

“What can I bring you Mr. Savage?”

“I want bottles of my finest bourbon from the cellar and anything else my friends want. Their money is no good this weekend. I’ll take care of your tip after they all leave.”

The mood was jubilant. The men ate and drank like kings and it was exactly what Beau had in mind when he left the ranch.

“How’s married life Beau? I finally get to meet Jackie. It’s about time you settled down and you sure jumped into family life with both feet with a little one; it’s only one, right?” Jono asked.

“Yeah, Jono. My son JB is all for now. I’ve had quite a few lifestyle adjustments in the past few years so I think Jackie and I are in a holding pattern. My wife and son are my everything Jono. I can’t wait for you to meet em. Did I mention Jackie’s hot?”

“I’m sure she is Beau. Is she as hot as what just walked in the door?”

Tina and Sasha stopped in for a drink. Of course, Tina thought Beau would be in the bar. She knew where he went when he was stressed. She was wearing a short wrap-dress. The cinnamon shade went well he her golden hair, which she was wearing down with soft curls. Beau had forgotten how tall she was and she had never looked better. She smiled and started walking towards Jono and Beau. Sasha followed and although she was lovely, all eyes were on Tina Dorsette.

“It has been forever Beau. My condolences on the death of Pops. I know he meant the world to you and I’m sorry that it took this for us to see each other again.” Tina gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek then proceeded to pick up his left hand. “What the hell is this?”

“You must have heard that I got married. I know you and nothing flies under your radar.”

“I did hear but seeing you wearing a wedding bad is still shocking. I see that I spent too much time in Paris and you didn’t wait for me. Is your wife here with you tonight?”

“No, Jackie’s at home with our son JB. I’m having what you could call a boy’s night out.”

“No girls allowed?” Tina asked coyly.

“I think I can make an exception. Hello Sasha. Nice to see you two still hang out. Why don’t you both join me and I’ll show off photos of my little cowboy. Jason Beauregard Savage is going to be a lady killer.”

“Just like his Daddy I’m sure.”

“That was the old Beau Savage. I’ve grown up Tina and my playboy days were put behind me the day I met Jackie. Excuse me ladies while I have a special bottle of Champagne and three glasses brought to our table.”

As soon as Beau walked away, Trina pulled Sasha in so she could whisper in her ear.

“Thanks for your help Sasha but I can handle things from here. I’ll say you weren’t feeling well.”

Beau returned to the table.

“What happened to Sasha?”

“She wasn’t feeling well so it looks as if it’s just the two of us. It gives us an opportunity to reminisce about the old days in Paris. I don’t need to look at pictures of BJ and Jacquelyn.”

“You mean JB and Jackie. She’s named after her uncle Jack and my son is named after my Grandfather. We can talk of Paris of course but remind me to call Jackie within the hour. She has been working hard to plan Pops’ funeral so I’m sure she going to bed early.”

Beau and Tina began reminiscing and ordered a second bottle of champagne. His phone was on silent but Trina saw Jackie calling so she covered the phone with a napkin and placed it out of sight. Trina kicked off her stiletto and began rubbing Beau’s leg with her toes eventually reaching his crotch where she played with him until he was hard.

With slurred words, Beau protested Tina’s flirtation. “You’re an amazing woman Tina and words can’t express how good you feel but this is wrong. I’m a married man.”

“We’re just playing Beau. I’m sure Jackie’s legs aren’t as long as mine. Remember what I can do with theses gams? Spend the night with me Beau. It would be in honor of your Grandfather. I’ve heard stories about him in the past and he would approve.”

“Pops loved Jackie. I have plans to stay here tonight alone in my room. Walk me to my room and we’ll share a kiss goodnight. I have to be on my game tomorrow and I can tell already that I’m gonna feel like shit.”

“Where’s your room Beau. I’ll make sure you get to bed.”

“I have the entire top floor. I need my phone, I have to call Jackie.”

“No worries Beau. I have everything taken care of.”

They were the last ones in the lounge and the wait staff was waiting for them to leave. They knew Jackie well and hated what they were seeing. They walked to the elevator arm in arm while they were laughing.

“Give me your key card and I’ll make sure you get to bed.”

Tina pushed open the door and with a pull of her sash her dress was on the floor. It was the last thing Beau Savage remembered.

At the Wandering Bison Ranch Jackie was growing anxious. She understood him not answering the phone while he was out with the boys and they agreed he should not drive home. Now it was 9am and Jackie had still not heard from her husband. The funeral was at one and they needed to be there at least an hour early. She was thankful she had Eve to help with JB and that she had experience with event planning. Something always went wrong and she had a back-up plan; except this time.

“I want Daddy.” JB screamed. He was having a meltdown at the worst possible time. “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy.” He stomped his feet.

“I’ll take care of JB Mrs. Savage. You should shower and get dressed. I’m sure Mr. Savage will burst through the door any minute.”

A frantic Jackie stepped into a hot shower in the hopes that it might relax her.

Beau woke with a throbbing headache. He had no clothes on and he found himself lying next to Tina Dorsette who was also naked.

Shit, what the hell did I do?

Beau looked around to find his suite absolutely trashed. The jacuzzi was filled with bubbles and the contents of the mini bar were scattered on the floor. The bedding from the other rooms was on the sitting room floor and the sound system was playing soft jazz. Tina’s hand tugged at his elbow.

“Last night was one for the ages Beau. I thought you were kinky in Paris but you took it to another level. Don’t get me wrong Lover. I enjoyed it as much as you did and next time I’ll be ready for you. I could lay here all day and bask in the afterglow but you and I have to go to a funeral.”

“I remember nothing Tina and I have to get home to my wife ASAP. My wife! This was wrong on so many levels. How could you have let me do this when you knew I was a married man? This will never happen again and I’ll just have to chalk it up to grief. Not a word Tina.” Beau shook his finger in anger.

“I guess this means the invitation to your chalet in St. Moritz is off? You may not remember Beau, but you were the aggressor last night. The servers saw us leave together last night and you had your paws all over me. My friend Sasha saw us in the corridor and I told her she could come in while I put you to bed but you insisted she leave. Remember that?”

“No, like I said, I remember nothing and last night was a mistake. You’re a beautiful woman Tina and you should be with someone who’s available. I love my wife and my son so we’ll act like nothing happened last night.”

“You know you’re a real asshole Beau. I hate being used by a pig like you.”

Tina threw on her dress and carried her shoes as she walked to the elevator. Beau sat on the edge of the bed and cried with his head in his hands. He wasn’t sure if they were tears of guilt or of grief. There was a knock at the door.

“I thought. …Oh, yes.”

“Found your cellphone in the lounge sir. Can I bring breakfast to your room Mr. Savage?”

Beau looked at his nametag. “No Pierre, but you can do me a favor that requires the utmost discretion. Can you please have this room cleaned and allow no one to know that I stayed here last night or that I asked you to clean it. I’ll include something extra in your paycheck.”

“Certainly sir. I’ll have it done by this afternoon.” Pierre smiled and disappeared.

Before taking a shower, Beau listened to the messages left by Jackie.

“Hey Beau. I love you and I miss you. This place is lonely without you and I can’t wait to have you back in my arms.”

“Hey babe. This bed is the loneliest place on earth without you.”

“Beau, it’s 6am. Wanted to say good morning before Master Savage starts singing his tune.”

“Beau, it’s 8:30. Please come home I’m starting to worry. I love you.”

Beau took a quick shower and threw on his pants. He couldn’t wear the same shirt because it smelled like booze and perfume. He hopped in his Mustang with the top down and prayed to God that he wouldn’t get caught. Maybe he had to make a stupid mistake to know how much he loved Jackie. Fuck, Beau, Stop trying to rationalize a messed up situation. He spoke to himself.

He called Jackie when he was almost home.

“Jackie it’s me. I’m on my way home. Sorry, rough night.”

“I have everything under control. Eve’s with JB and she’s bringing him to the church. Remind me to give that woman a raise because she has earned double what I pay her. We have an hour alone in the house before we have to leave for the church. Get your ass home Savage and we can make the best of our solitude.”

“Oh, yeah. Can’t wait Jackie. I’ll be home in a few minutes.”

It was a good thing longevity ran in his family because otherwise he would drop dead of a heart attack. His wife wanted a quickie after the night he just had? There was no way he could get out of it so he pushed on the gas. He beeped twice and swallowed hard before he walked in the house.

Beau mustered up his enthusiasm before opening the door to find Jackie waiting for him. Her jet-black hair was still damp from the shower and she was wearing only a leopard print thong. He loved Jackie’s toned petite figure as opposed to Tina’ Amazonian skinny frame.

“I need this Beau. I’m so glad I’m married to you and that I can count on you for sex whenever and wherever I want. I have been Mommy and Mrs. Savage for days and I need to be your lover Jackie. Mmm, you smell nice. I recognize the body wash because I picked it out for the guest rooms at the resort.”

“You have an excellent nose Jackie,” He said as he grabbed her butt and lifted Jackie so her legs were laced behind his back.

“I have a keen sense of smell. I’d smell her if you were ever with another woman but that’s nothing I have to worry about — right?”

“Never Jackie not when I have you at home waiting for me wearing next to nothing.”

Beau ran his hand from her neck down between her boobs past her naval to her wet pussy.

“Have at it Beau. I’m in the mood to be submissive. Touch me like you mean it and let’s see if you’re strong enough to toss me around like a ragdoll.”

He pushed his hand inside of her deep and hard until she screamed with pleasure and was writhing uncontrollably. Beau placed his hands around her ankles, threw her tight legs over his shoulders and put his head in her crotch. He laid his head on her taught tummy when he was finished and felt as if he had just run a marathon.

“That was exactly what I needed Beau. I plan to breeze through the remainder of the day with a broad smile on my face. That was hot. I don’t know if I’ve ever climaxed that way before. I left you swimming in a puddle of my juices so I’m afraid we both have to shower again.”

“It was worth it. Is everything all set for the funeral?” Beau asked.

“It is. We have the funeral followed by the graveside ceremony and then we throw open our doors for a celebration of life. This was more complicated than planning our wedding and I had only days to plan. That’s the problem with funerals; can’t plan for exactly when they’ll take place. Did you see Jono last night?”

“Who? Oh yeah. Jono’s great and he can’t wait to meet you and JB. He wasn’t able to come to our wedding because he was in Thailand.”

“Was anyone else interesting at the resort?” Jackie asked innocently.

“No one worth mentioning. Rather there were too many people to mention because everyone comes out for a funeral. The wealthier the person the larger the crowd. Pops would hate it because he was a man who preferred to fly under the radar.”

“This weekend is a big deal Beau but it’s too late to change things now. Eve is meeting us there with our little cowboy. A two year old in a suit and a cowboy hat — wait to you see him. He’s a mini-Beau Savage.”

“Nothing great about being me. I hope he has more of your traits than mine. He can’t go wrong in life if he does.”

“That’s a weird comment. Don’t insult the man I love. It’s unlike you to put yourself down and we need your strength now more than ever.”

The funeral went off without a hitch. Beau gave a heartfelt eulogy so that there was hardly a dry eye in the church. JB was the star in many ways. He was the young heir to an enormous fortune and he was treated differently even though he was only 2-years old. Jackie and Beau stood at the doors of the church as people passed through. Many of them would be at the celebration at the ranch so the line moved quickly.

Beau spied Tina with Sasha getting ready to leave their pew. He could only guess what they were saying but it was likely about him. Beau started to perspire and he moved closer to his wife so anyone watching knew he was deeply in love with Jackie.

“Look at that woman Sasha. She’s a midget and her grey suit is dated; from 2014.” Tina whispered.

“Hardly. I saw it in French Vogue last month. I think it’s very on trend and compliments her figure. You can tell she’s had no work done which is refreshing these days.”

“Whose side are you on Sasha? Doesn’t matter. Just remember our story and stick to it.”

Tina was wearing a black maxi dress with a slit of course and an orchid silk blouse. She had on a wide brimmed hat that was better suited for the Kentucky Derby than a Western Funeral. Tina and Sasha were approaching the Savage family. Tina gave Beau a friendly embrace and shook Jackie’s hand.

“My condolences. I’m a friend of your husband’s Jackie. We know each other from Paris when our Beau was a high-flying bachelor. We missed you last night but I expect you were at home with BJ.”

“You mean JB. I spend enough time at Clear Creek and I needed to be with our son. He misses his great-grandfather and this is a confusing time for him. I’m glad you had the opportunity to catch up with Beau.”

“My friend Sasha and I will be out at the Wandering Bison later today. I think I remember how to get there.” Tina smiled and walked away.

To say Tina Dorsette rubbed Jackie the wrong way was an understatement of epic proportions. The woman was stunning in an expected sort of way. There was nothing that set her apart from a dozen other models. She acted like she deserved special recognition just because she was beautiful. Jackie did not like Tina.

While shaking hands Jackie managed to ask Beau about Tina Dorsette.

“What’s with the bombshell Beau. Was she one of the many back in the day?”

“Tina’s a friend. My hand is going to fall off. When can we bolt?”

“She seems to consider you a good friend Beau.”

“After this morning, you can’t possibly be jealous of a woman like Tina.”

Jackie let it go but it would linger in the back of her mind. Tina was not at the graveside ceremony but she was expected at the house afterwards.

It was a beautiful day so Jackie took advantage of the outdoor spaces at the ranch house. Both the east and west veranda were set up with food and drink that were catered from the resort. Stone fireplaces were lit in each space, which provided heat as the sun went down. There was caviar and a raw bar featuring mussels, clams, shrimp, oysters and lobster claws flown in fresh from both coasts. In addition, there were many of Jason’s favorites; including elk and bison brochette and strawberry rhubarb pie. Jackie took a moment to view her successful event that seemed to be enjoyed by all.

“Admiring your handy-work Jackie. I’m Jono a good friend of Beau’s and I recognized you from the wedding photos. I know you have a background in event planning so you deserve congratulations.” Jono gave Jackie a warm embrace. “I’ve known Beau a long time and I didn’t think I’d see the day that he settled down. Married with a child in the blink of an eye. Seriously, Beau has never been happier. I think his Grandfather’s passing threw him for a loop but hang in there.”

“I’m hanging tough. He’s been moody but nothing I can’t handle. I’m happy he was able to spend the evening with you and the boys. You must have been up late partying because I couldn’t reach Beau.”

Jono went flush. “I see an opening to grab some grub. I can’t wait for the server to make it over. Excuse me while I sample some elk meat.”

Jackie felt a hand on her ass followed by a light squeeze.

“How are you holding up Mrs. Savage?”

“I’m fine Mr. Savage. I just met your friend Jono. He seems like a nice fellow.”

“Jono’s the best. He looks better that when I saw him last. He lost a lot of weight because he had a heart scare. He’s on a strict vegetarian diet.”

Jackie decided not to comment. It was odd that he left their conversation in a hurry to taste the elk. He must have been uncomfortable talking about the previous night.

“We have plenty of non-meat options so I’m sure Jono will be fine. We should mingle and I have to check on JB.”

Jackie kissed her husband on the mouth. It was a lingering show of affection that Tina noticed from across the room. She commented to her friend.

“That woman is a hussy. Doesn’t she realize that this is a funeral?”

“You’re just jealous Tina. You would rather be the one with your tongue in his mouth. Face it Tina. Jackie and Beau are in love and they have a little boy together so it’s time to step aside.”

“When have you ever known me to step aside Sasha. She’s acting like the goose that laid the golden egg. He has a son and will realize soon that he can do without the wife.”

“I think you’ve had too much to drink T. Let’s call it a night.”

“It would be rude to leave without thanking the hostess. Have our car brought around and I’ll meet you out front.”

Before Sasha could change her mind, Tina started walking towards Jackie.

“Hi Jackie. Wanted to come over and say goodbye. Your home looks beautiful and there are so many changes since the last time I was here.”

“I didn’t realize that you had been a guest at the Wandering Bison.” Jackie commented.

“Yes, as I said Beau and I go way back. I saw him in Paris while I was doing runway but we managed to see each other when I made it back to the states.”

“Right. I know you’ve been in the LA area for a while linked with Tim Randall.”

“That sounded worse than it was and I’ve moved on.”

Jackie had enough of Tina Dorsette and her innuendo. She was a guest in her home.

“Moved on to another married man with a family Tina?”

“Harsh Jackie. I’m feeling your tension and I think you had better ask Beau about the situation. I was not the only one in the room last night so if you want details ask your husband. Cover the little one’s ears when you speak with Beau. Some of what will be said isn’t appropriate for children. Bye Jackie.”

Tina walked away leaving a shattered Jackie. Her world had just collapsed and she needed fresh air. Jackie escaped to a field adjacent to the house and sobbed uncontrollably. She had gone all-in with her marriage to Beau and completely redirected the trajectory of her life for him. She would pack a bag and leave if it weren’t for JB. Unlike most women, she didn’t need or want Beau’s fortune. Jackie’s career didn’t afford her luxuries but it was enough. It would have to be enough. Jackie dried her eyes and went back into the house. She was not about to make a scene with Beau in front of the guests as it would be disrespectful to the memory of Jason Savage.

“It seems that everyone is finally gone. I need a soak in the hot tub in the worst way. Care to join me?” Beau winked.

Jackie wanted to smack him in the face but she maintained her composure.

“I have things to take care of.”

Jackie turned and went to her bedroom.

Jackie quickly packed a bag and asked Eve to pack some things for JB. Her plan was to go to Jason’s house on the ranch until she decided what to do. Jackie felt as though she had been in a car wreck; her head was throbbing and every muscle in her body was sore. Having her heart broken was more painful than child labor. Beau eventually appeared in the room after her bags were packed.

“Going somewhere that I don’t know about?” Beau was dripping wet with a towel around his waist.

“I’m going to stay down at Pops’ house with JB for a few days until I decide where to go. I’m leaving you Beauregard. Don’t insult me with some lame excuse about how you were just working through your grief with Tina. You must be superman the way you fucked her on Friday night and then came home to go at it with me. I’m aware that you have a past Beau but to bring it into the present. You flaunted your whore around my house with your child present, at your grandfather’s funeral. You can have your damn money because it doesn’t impress me. JB and I will be fine on our own and don’t get any ideas about taking our son. There isn’t a judge in the US that even you can buy who’ll award you custody. Tina gives models a bad name because I’m sure there are many of them smarter than me. That girl isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but I guess you don’t aim very high.”

Beau was in shock as stood in the doorway motionless with tears streaming down his face.

“Jackie, he whispered. “I love you. You and JB are all that matters. I’m sorry.”

Jackie slammed her suitcase shut and walked down the stairs.

“Eve, let’s go,” She called out before they walked out the front door.

The guesthouse was a creepy place to be since it was where she found Pops dead but she felt his presence. That in itself was comforting.

“Eve, I can’t thank you enough for coming along no questions asked. There’s a room set up in back for JB. I see that he’s still sleeping poor man he doesn’t deserve any of this.”

“No problem Mrs. Savage. You’re an excellent mother and I’m sure you’ll tell me everything I need to no in good time. I’m going to sleep on the bed next to JB’s crib. That way I’ll be there if her wakes up confused in the middle of the night.”

“Thanks Eve.”

As soon as she was alone, Jackie opened a bottle of wine and poured herself a tumbler full. She was about to take a gulp when there was a knock at the door. She rolled her eyes and sighed.

“Leave me alone Beau.”

Jackie was surprised when she opened to find Tina’s friend Sasha.

“Hi Jackie. Sorry to invade your privacy but we need to talk. A person from the catering staff told me where you might be.”

“I can’t imagine what you have to add to this horrible situation. Tina sends her minions to do her dirty work. She’s a bigger bitch than I ever imagined. Come in. It’s not your fault and they say — don’t kill the messenger.”

“First, let’s clear something up. I’m not one of Tina Dorsette’s minions. I was her friend for years and I stress was.”

“Wine?” Jackie offered and poured her a glass.

“Can I call you Jackie?”

“Sure and make yourself comfortable.”

“Beau wasn’t completely innocent of flirting with Tina when the evening started. He was tipsy and she is — well you know.”

“Tina’s attractive, I’ll give her that but nothing more,” Jackie, joked.

“Beyond the first hour, it was all Tina. She asked me to leave so she could get your husband drunk and seduce him. She managed to get him very drunk and she told him she would help him get to his room. She practically had to carry Beau out of the lounge.”

“What happened after that Sasha? I’m the co-owner of the resort and the employees tell me everything. I made some calls and the room was a mess.”

“That’s classic Tina. Beau passed out so she made it look like they had an epic time. He assumed they had sex and she didn’t tell him otherwise. She took the poor guy’s clothes off and got nude herself. When I saw Beau look at you tonight and the way he was with JB, I knew something had to be done. I’m so sorry if I contributed to the way that Tina acted.”

“I don’t blame you Sasha. You were used and now you know better. It’s not all fun and games. Tina’s hurting real people and I’m not just thinking of me but JB. I’m still pissed as hell at Beau but this is something we can work through. He’s gonna have to work his butt off to make it up to me. What about Tina? How can we make her feel the pain?”

“I was thinking of that on the way over here. Tina relies on people to take care of her. It all started with her career because as a successful model your hair and make-up are done and clothes are purchased for you. When a model retires she still expects others to foot the expensive bill.”

“How do we get other’s to stop paying her expenses?”

“It helps that Savage Enterprises owns nearly every condo she lives in.” Sasha smiled.

“I’m sure as hell not paying her bills any longer. I bet we own most of the entities that she relies on. This is a good start Sasha. Are you going to be OK without her shirttails to ride on?”

“I’ll be able to sleep well and that’s good enough for me. I’m 26 and not too old to go back to school.”

“Let me know if I can help you with anything. I can write you a letter of recommendation that speaks to your honesty and trustworthiness.”

“Jackie was at the breakfast table when Beau woke up at 6am. She was mad but certain that their love was stronger than Beau’s stupidity.

“Good morning Jackie. Thank you for coming back. I didn’t sleep a wink last night but I didn’t deserve a sound sleep. How’s JB?”

“He’s good. He and Eve are spending the morning at the stables. He asked for you first thing this morning and he slept with his cowboy hat on.”

“I’m so embarrassed Jackie. My grandfather had a reputation as a ladies man but he was married twice and he never cheated on his wives. I want my son to look up to me and I go out and act like a 20 year old at 42.”

“Is it out of your system? It had better be because I’m not waiting around while you sample the merchandise.”

“It’s totally out of my system. No more hamburger when I have filet mignon. I made an ass out of myself to the staff at the resort and in front of my friends. Jono called to tell be what a jerk I was. He say’s he’ll take you and treat you like a goddess if I won’t.”

“No offense to Jono but he’s not my type. I should let you go on believing that you slept with Tina but I’m not sinking to her level. She set you up Beau.”

Beau looked more pissed than Jackie had ever seen him. “I’ll kill the bitch”

“Relax. She’s mine.”

“Are you moving back?” Beau asked,

Jackie nodded her head and smiled. “My bag is in the car.”

Jackie stood up and yawned.

“Looks like you could use some extra sleep. I want to go back to bed Beau but I won’t want to sleep. I want you to do to me what you thought you did to Tina.”

Beau picked up his wife and carried her to their bedroom. He picked up where he left off the day before. He tore off her white t-shirt and yoga pants and saw that she was wearing no bra or panties. Her nipples were hard by the time he covered them with his mouth. Beau was never going to skip foreplay again because seeing her turned on and orgasm made him hard. Jackie Savage didn’t lose control often but Beau knew the spots that garnered an immediate reaction.

In a move that was right out of a Bruce Lee film she flipped him over. Now her small toned body covered his and she placed his hard cock inside of her. Beau and Jackie knew that their lover’s fit far exceeded anything Tina would ever experience.

“I’ll never hurt you again Jackie but you have to admit that make-up sex is pretty hot. Why does your phone keep buzzing? Are you expecting an important call?”

“Tina Dorsette has been trying to call all morning. It has something to do with a few cleaning surcharges on her bill. There was a problem with her chartered flight out of our airport. Poor thing is having a bad day. I love you Beau Savage.” Jackie smiled.

“I love you Jackie Savage.”
