Kahm: Mail Order Brides Alien Mate (Galactic Brides Book 1) by T.J. Quinn (12)

“Still here?” Moyana asked as she took a seat, at the table, in front of Selena.

“This is my home, where should I be?” she asked, in a calm tone and not even looking at the other woman.

“I was sure that after last night, you would realize you’ve lost this little battle between us,” she replied with utter scorn. “Of course, I knew you didn’t stand a chance against me, but you seemed reluctant in accepting that fact.”

Selena struggled to keep her tone and her face as inexpressive as possible. She was sure Moyana was implying Kahm had spent the night with her, and though the simple thought of such a thing hurt her like hell, she wasn’t going to let the other woman know that.

“As far as I know, nothing happened last night to make you feel victorious, my dear Moyana,” she said, eating her food calmly as if they were discussing the weather.

“How can you say that? Have you no pride, human? Can’t you see he doesn’t want you anymore?” the other woman ranted.

Selena looked around, searching for Ysha, but the android was nowhere to be seen. She guessed she had left the moment Moyana had entered the room, giving them some privacy. Not that she needed it.

“I believe you’re giving whatever happened last night way too much importance, my dear. And I’m not saying anything happened, at all,” she stated, finishing her juice and getting up. “I’m his wife, and as far as I know, that hasn’t changed, and certainly won’t ever change.”

With those words, she left the kitchen before the other woman could tell just how shaky her hands were and see the tears welling up in her eyes. She didn’t want to believe Kahm had spent the night with Moyana, but the truth was she had never discussed things like fidelity, and adultery with him. As far as she knew, he might be a firm believer in polyamorous relationships.

Furious with herself and the whole situation, she went to the room she used to work on her knitting. With luck, she wouldn’t see Moyana for the rest of the day.

But she wasn’t that lucky. At lunchtime, she showed up at the table with a few more insinuations and double-meaning comments, trying to make Selena lose her patience, but she didn’t get what she wanted.

Though Selena was boiling on the inside, she blatantly ignored every single word of the other woman. When she was done, she went back to her working room and locked herself in it, just in case Moyana decided to follow her.

By the time Kahm returned to the house she was ready to climb the walls, with cracking nerves. He found her in their room, about to go to the shower.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her nape. “It seems I arrived at the right time,” he whispered in her ear, pulling her back closer to his chest.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed that moment before she stepped away and turned to look at him. She had spent the whole day thinking what she was going to tell Kahm about the situation with his friend.

“Yes, indeed, in time for us to have a small conversation.”

He frowned and crossed his arms over his chest. “What’s going on?”

“Where did you spend the night?” she asked, trying to get the facts before making accusations.

He ran his fingers through his mane and sighed. “I was feeling too restless to sleep, so I went out for a ride in the woods,” he explained, “I guess I should have told you, but I didn’t want to disturb your sleep.”

He didn’t seem to be lying, and a wave of relief rushed through her body. She wasn’t sure what was happening between her husband and Moyana, but at least she knew she had been lying the whole day, trying to make Selena’s life miserable.

“How long will your friend be here?” she asked, with a cautious tone.

“I’m not sure… I didn’t ask her. Why? Is she bothering you?” he asked, frowning again.

Selena considered telling him the truth, but she still wasn’t sure about her husband’s feelings for the other woman. The last thing she needed was to hear him taking her side.

“No… I was just asking… she seems to be bored, staying here at the house…” she regretted those words the minute they came out, and when he spoke, she regretted them even more.

“Yes… I guess you’re right. I’ll take her with me tomorrow, to show her around.”

Selena wished she could bump her head against the wall several times when she heard his words. She should have known he would suggest such a thing. She had just given the other woman time alone with her husband.

“Yes… I’m sure she’ll enjoy it,” she said, through gritted teeth, as she turned around and headed to the bathroom. “I’ll take a bath.”

He followed her into the bathroom, ripping his clothes off, in his way in. “Yes… I can use a bath too,” he said, with a naughty grin on his face, as he closed the distance between them and helped her out of her clothes.

Selena moaned, divided between passion and despair, but one touch of his hands, and she was his completely. Once he got her naked, he picked her in arms and carried her to the shower stall, making her wrap her legs around him.

Under the warm stream of water, he claimed her lips in a deep, passionate kiss, stealing her breath away and reigniting the fire of the passion that burned between them. She rested her hands on his muscular shoulders, but soon her fingers wandered up to his mane, and for the first time, she even dared to graze his big horns.

“Grab on to them,” he suggested, with a mischievous grin, when he felt her hands on his horns.

“Are you sure?” she asked, tracing the horns from their base to the sharp point.

“Yes, please…” he asked, kissing her again.

Aroused, she did as he asked and she held on to his horns.

Grunting, he slid his lips down to her breasts and teased her a few minutes with kisses, sucks and nibbles, using his devilish tongue to rip moans of pleasure from her lips, each time.

Hard as a rock, his cock was up, grazing her entrance and teasing her clit with every movement he did. So far, he hadn't played with her clit, making her suspect he didn’t know about it. But this time, his cock, pressed between both bodies, rubbed her engorged bud, making her cry out of pleasure. The small edges on his cock rubbed her clit again and again, and it took her no time to fly over the edge, immersed in a powerful, wild orgasm.

With a loud grunt of pleasure, he lowered her onto his hard cock, making her go down on him, inch by inch. She grabbed his horns even harder, eager to ride him and give him the pleasure he always gave her.

“Yes… yes…” he groaned, as he helped her ride him faster while taking him deeper inside her. Her inner walls rubbing his ridges and sent jolts of pleasure through his whole body.

A few more strokes and they were flying over the edge once more, washed over by the wild waves of pleasure of yet another mind-blowing orgasm.

When the waves finally subsided, he helped her bathe, and a few minutes later they were ready to have dinner.

Moyana was already waiting for them, and the look on her face wasn’t very amicable.

“Hello, Moyana, how was your day?” he greeted her.

“Quite boring. You could have taken some time to be with me. I came all the way here to see you, not to spend the day looking at the walls of your house,” she grumbled.

He let out a sigh. “I know, I’m sorry. Would you like to come with me tomorrow? I’ll show you around the farm,” he suggested.

The victorious smile on her face was quite obvious, at least, for Selena. She knew the woman would see in his invitation and opportunity to convince him to do what she wanted.

“Oh, yes, I would love to,” she assured him.

Dinner wasn’t so bad that night since Moyana was happier than the night before, but Selena counted the minutes so that she could leave the other woman’s presence.

Fortunately, that night, Kahm went straight to bed with her. But she had to watch them leave in the morning, unable to do anything to prevent it. Restless, she paced the gardens, picked some fruit, walked around the vegetable garden, ripped out a few weeds, but nothing seemed to calm her down.

She was about to start crying out her frustration when Ysha showed up in the garden to announce an incoming video call from a woman called Melanie.

“Do you know this woman, Ysha?” Selena asked, with an uncertain frown.

“She’s married to one of Sínn Kahm’s friends, Víf Selena,” she explained.

Selena immediately recalled Kahm had told her he would take her to visit a human woman, married to his friend.

“I’ll take the call in my working room, Ysha, thank you.”

“Hi, Selena. I don’t know if Kahm has talked to you about me…” the blond woman said, smiling.

“Hi, Melanie. Yes, he mentioned you a few days ago. It’s so good to see a familiar face,” she said, chuckling.

“I know what you mean, I feel the same. I have been patiently waiting for Kahm to bring you here, but today I decided he had had you for himself for enough time,” the vivacious woman said, with a naughty grin.

“I’m glad you did,” Selena assured her.

“How did you find Sumirion?”

“It looks like Earth in many aspects, but much better. Even the air is better,” she admitted.

“Yes, I know… I come from New York, so as you can imagine, I couldn’t believe the air was so pure.”

“Exactly, it’s a fantastic place.”

“It is. I’ve been here for almost a year, and I have to say I have never been happier in my life.”

Selena nodded, knowing the feeling, though she still felt sad for the situation her parents were still going through. “Did you leave any family behind?” she asked, curious.

“No…” a shadow of sadness covered the other woman’s face. “My family died during the wars. I was the only survivor, and when I heard about the Mail Order Bride agency, I decided it was my opportunity to get a new start,” she explained. “What about you?”

Selena sighed. “I had to leave my parents behind,” she confessed. “They encouraged me to leave and get a better life, but I still worry about them.”

“Have you told Kahm about them?” Melanie asked her, with a sympathetic smile.

“No… I’ve only been here for a few weeks… it didn’t seem a good idea to mention them,” she explained.

“Well, knowing Kahm as I do, I think you should. He’s a good man, and I’m sure he’ll want to help them,” Melanie assured her.

“I will… when I find the courage,” she said, with a self-deprecating smile.

“Anyway, I was calling you to invite you and Kahm to come visit us next weekend,” Melanie informed her.

“Are there weekends here? Kahm works every day,” she said, amused.

“Yes, I know what you mean, Raye was a workaholic, just like Kahm, until I got here,” she said. “I’ve made him stop working for a couple of days a week, and I call them a weekend,” she explained, smiling. “Kahm has visited us during those days.”

“It sounds like fun. We have a visitor right now, but I’m sure Kahm will love to come visit you guys when we’re free,” Selena replied, praying the other woman wouldn’t include their visitor in her invitation.

“Perfect. Let me know when you’re free, and we’ll schedule the visit. I’m looking forward to spending some time with you, to get to know you,” Melanie said, with a broad smile.

“Thank you, I feel the same way about you,” she assured the other women.

“In other circumstances, I would have visited you by now, but ever since I got pregnant, Raye won’t let me go anywhere,” Melanie explained.

“Oh, congratulations, that’s wonderful,” Selena cheered the news. “When are you having the baby?”

“We’re not sure. This will be the first baby conceived between our species so it will be a surprise in all senses,” she said, and though she was smiling, Selena could tell she was worried.

“I’m sure all will go just fine. And if you ever need any help, just give me a call. I used to work as an emergency room’s nurse, so I’ve had my share of births,” she told her, with a reassuring smile.

“Oh, that’s amazing news… it makes me feel a lot safer.”

“I’m a call away. Just let me know if you have any doubt or don’t feel well and I’ll get there as fast as possible,” Selena offered.

“Thank you, you’re an angel.”

They chatted a little more, and when they ended the call, Selena looked around at the baskets with the wool and decided she would start a new blanket for the unborn child. A new project would keep her mind busy.

It helped, but not as much as she wished. Kahm didn’t show up for lunch, nor did Moyana, and though she did her best not to jump to conclusions, it was hard not to. She knew the woman was after her husband and that she was willing to do all she could to get him. Selena just didn’t know how to deal with the situation.
