As he made his way the few blocks to Rakida Construction, he went over the list in his head of everything he’d put into play for this getaway. He’d coerced all their friends into making this as smooth as possible, so she’d be willing to be whisked away without having to worry about a single detail.

Layla had packed a small bag and informed Isaac so he wouldn’t worry. Kira, Carly and Toni had manipulated her schedule, moving all her appointments without her knowledge.

He needed alone time with her now, before they started their family.

“Hey, babe, what are you doing here?” Kasey called as she threw her arms around him in greeting. “I’ve missed you.”

“Me, too. That’s why you’re leaving with me right now. We’ve got four days of nothing but an empty house, a bed, and hours of alone time to enjoy being together. No work, no family, no friends. Just us. How does that sound?”

“Delicious, I can’t wait to take my turn tasting you. Turnabout is fair play after all. But I’ve got so much to do here. I can’t leave without notice like that.”

“Yes, you can. It’s taken care of,” Kira announced from behind them.

Brannon glanced over his shoulder and smirked at all their friends lined up with shit-eating grins. No doubt, they’d heard her promise to him.

“What is this?” Kasey demanded with a laugh.

“Easy,” Layla said with a wink. “Your clothes are in here.”

“And we took care of everything. You’re free to go.” Carly waggled her eyebrows. “Now, go have fun.”

“And don’t do anything we wouldn’t,” Toni chimed in.

“Trust us, that isn’t much.” Kira elbowed Carly. “Right?”

“Okay, that’s enough,” Brannon called out in alarm. “I don’t want to know any details of any of your sex lives with my friends. There isn’t enough mind bleach for that in the world.”

They said their goodbyes and were headed to the car when Kasey suddenly stopped and glanced to him. “Fuck, shifter hearing. They heard me, didn’t they? That was what their smirks were, wasn’t it?”

Brannon laughed. “You do recall Bastien and Carly’s courtship, right? Garrett and Toni were just as bad. Babe, you’ve got nothing to be embarrassed about. That little outburst didn’t even rate compared to some of the things they’ve done.”

“Then it sounds like we need to up our game, Mr. Wolfrik.”

“I’m game, making you squirm and scream is something I’m more than willing to help with. Just don’t get mad at me. Because now you’ve given me permission and I’m calling it game on.”

“There’s something I need to tell you,” Kasey whispered by his ear.

“You want to do it here in the car?”

She giggled and pulled back, meeting his gaze. “No, you pervert. I think I’m pregnant.”

He grinned and kissed her hard before his bright gaze settled on her again. “I know.”

She pouted and growled. “Fuck! I should’ve known you’d notice before me.”

“Baby, anything changes in your body and I’m the first to know.”

Kasey laughed. “I love you, wolf.”

“Love you too, baby.”
