Runaway Omega: Harley: M/M/M Mpreg Romance (Shifters of Stell Book 1) by Kellan Larkin, Kaz Crowley (14)

Epilogue

Harley

I have a feeling a bit like déjà vu as I walk up to the bathroom, clouded with morning fogginess.

I feel a little nauseous. A little off, in a very specific way.

I’m pregnant. I’m sure of it, even if it seems like just a vague notion now.

I root around in the medicine cabinet but can’t find a pregnancy test. I’ll have to check with the alphas later.

The alphas. That’s what I’ve been calling them in my head. They’re the best mates anyone could ask for. I can’t believe that men like this exist, men who will cherish me and treat me the exact opposite of Morris.

Morris is on trial for his complicity in the Blacktails gang and for assaulting me. I had to testify, and it was one of the more painful things I’ve done in my life, but I had my son and my alphas by my side.

Morris actually seemed a little contrite about what he’d done, but what was the point? I was going to be sure that Morris would never, ever get custody of Hunter. There was no way I was letting that men within a mile of my kid.

In any case, Morris is going to be rotting away in jail for the rest of his days, so I’m not too worried about that. Not anytime soon. I can’t believe the guy came here all the way from Spruce Springs, though.

Spruce Springs. I guess I should send messages to my family and the few friends I have there, letting them know I’m okay. But I don’t ever intend to go back. There’s no way.

And that’s okay because I have a life here. A life with my two alphas and soon to be two children.

I walk into the living room, my heart rate quicker now that I think I might be pregnant. “Hey, guys?” I call, asking if either of my mates is there.

“Yeah?” Carson peeks his head out from the kitchen.

“Do you… do you have any extra pregnancy tests?” I ask him, as I let myself fall into his embrace. His strong arms wrap around me and I take a deep breath against his soft t-shirt.

“Uh… You think you might be pregnant, honey?” he says, pulling me away a bit to look in my eyes.

I look away. “Yeah…”

“That’s great news, if it’s true,” says Carson encouraginly.

“Yeah?”

“Totally. Lars will be thrilled. We won’t know which of us is the father, but that’s okay, right? It’ll be our baby, all three of us…”

He’s rambling now, but that’s okay. It’s super cute.

“Lars will be back when he finishes working out,” continues Carson. “Anyway, pregnancy tests. We have one here, I think…”

I follow him back into the bathroom. He’s tall, so he pulls out a drawer in a shelf above my head and brings down a box of pregnancy tests.

“Guess I should do one now,” I say as I watch him pull one out for me.

I check the expiration date. It seems good to go.

“Guess so. I can step out…”

I wave my hand. I don’t really care. I remove the test from its wrapper and pee on it, then set it carefully on the side of the tub.

“Says to wait a few minutes.” I head out of the bathroom. I need breakfast; I’m starving.

Carson takes my cue and follows me, picking up his coffee mug and drinking from it. “So… I heard from Morty.”

“Yeah? How’s he doing?”

“He’s living with Marie again and he’s working as a junior detective with the clan.”

“Holy shit,” I say, blinking at Carson. “A junior detective? Really?”

“Yeah, totally. Apparently he’s actually fairly qualified. And Marie has been given a job somewhere in the pack too, not sure where. They’ve both been put up in that neighborhood east of here, what’s it called…”

I don’t know, because I’m not from here. Stell has way too many different neighborhoods for me to know them all.

“Roxanne Park,” says Carson. “Nice neighborhood.”

“That’s awesome,” I say. “Really good to hear. See? They are good people, I told you. I knew it when I met them; they were so helpful to me.”

“I should have listened to you, my sweet omega,” he says, pulling me against him for a hug.

“Marie even apologized to me,” I say. “She said she was sorry she had to deceive me. She tried her best to keep Hunter safe at every turn and she was scared for her life and her grandson’s life. They apparently made her work at the shop as an informant.”

“That’s insane,” says Carson. “I can’t believe they’d take advantage of an elderly lady like that.”

“Well, they are a gang. Not known for the most upstanding behavior, huh?”

Carson laughs harshly. “Well, now they’re gone for good. There’s always something, but I think we can actually relax for a little while.”

I hear the key turning in the lock and realize Lars is home. I run back to get the pregnancy test, peeking at the result.

I’m pregnant.

“I’m pregnant!” I yell, bounding out of the bathroom and into Lars’ arms. The alphas sandwich me as Lars smiles at me.

“Yeah?” he asks. “We’re having another kid?”

“Yeah,” I say, beaming.

I swear I can see a tear in his eye, but then both of the alphas sandwich me in an alpha hug, and I’m the happy omega in the middle of it.

Right where I’m meant to be.
