Rust (King's Harlots MC Book 6) by J.M. Walker (14)

STONE WOULDN’T LET me out of his sight. He kept me close, touching me, petting me, kissing me. Ever since we had sex outside, on his couch and anywhere else he could take me, he couldn’t get enough and I the same. He was like the Energizer Bunny. I had never met a man with as much stamina as him.

This man would be my undoing. For me and my pussy. I didn’t care about anything else. I forgot to eat. Drink. Sleep. Whenever he was around, the only thing I could focus on was getting him back inside me. I loved playing with him. Touching him until he lost control and took from me what he wanted. I pushed until he pushed back and only then did we crash into each other and forget the rest of the world around us.

It had been a couple hours since he brought me to his cottage and finally, after submitting to his need to dominate, he let me rest.

“What is this place?” I asked sometime during the night while I curled up against his side. He had brought me out to the backyard, wrapped a blanket around us, and sat me beside him on a patio couch. The heat from his body enveloped my naked one. It had been the only demand he had of me as soon as he let me breathe.

“This was our family cottage when my sister and I were kids.” He took a sip from a bottle of water before handing it to me. As soon as I took the bottle from him, his hand was back between my legs, cupping my inner thigh. My body heated at the firm grip he had on me.

“I like it,” I told him. “It’s homey.”

“It never used to be.” A dark shadow passed over his face.

“What do you mean?” I turned to him.

“My father was the stereotypical Italian man. Abusive. Loud. And mean as fuck. But my mother loved him. I don’t know what happened behind closed doors. They never showed us but what I did see, I didn’t like. After seeing him manhandle her one too many times, I got in his face. But until I got older and bigger, it didn’t do shit.” Stone shrugged. “After drinking himself to death, my mother died of a broken heart.”

My chest tightened. “I’m sorry.”

“My father was a dick. But my mom …” He sighed. “She loved with every inch of her. It’s been a couple of years and as sad as this is to say, I don’t miss her. I don’t miss either of them.”

“Can I ask why?”

“She doted on her husband more than her kids. Aria and I have had discussions on why they had us in the first place. We came up with the theory that it looked good. My mother’s parents were on them to have kids so they did.” Stone took the water from me and drank the rest of the cool liquid in one gulp. “I need something stronger,” he muttered, more to himself than to me.

“Your last name isn’t Italian,” I pointed out, trying to change the subject but everything in me was dying to know more about him.

“No, it’s not. I took my mother’s last name when I got older. I had it switched. I didn’t want to carry anything around with me belonging to that man. But unfortunately, it didn’t work when I have his first name.”

“That’s why you don’t like being called Vince.” I nodded. “It makes sense now.”

He smiled softly and looked out at the back yard. The dim moonlight cast a glow over the trees. The warm night air wrapped around us, sending a shiver down my back.

“I haven’t been back here in a while,” Stone confessed. “Years, actually.”

“Why now?” I sat forward, stretching my arms above my head. “Why did you bring me here tonight?”

Stone brushed his fingers down my spine. “You wanted to get away. Even if it was only for a couple of hours. I figured this was the best place. And we don’t have to worry about neighbors.” He glanced down at my mouth. “That also means I can make you scream as loud as I want.”

“Hmm … I think you’ve mastered that task beautifully.” I winked. “Thank you.” I waved in front of me. “For this.”

“No, I should be thanking you. I need to come out here more often but the memories are rough.”

I thought a moment, realization dawning on me. “Did you ever bring Luna’s mother here?”

He searched my face. “Would you be jealous if I did?”

“Would it turn you on if I said yes?” I threw back at him, the truth hovering over my head.

He let out a hard sigh. “As much as your jealousy makes me hard, no, I didn’t bring her here and I also don’t want you jealous of her.”

My shoulders relaxed. “I don’t know why but I’m going to ask anyway. Why don’t you want me jealous?”

“That’s a story for another time.”

“Seriously?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Stone pushed me back and ripped the blanket free from my body. His head dipped, his mouth closing around a nipple. He gave the hardened nub a gentle sweep of his tongue before sinking his teeth into the peak.

I gasped, arching beneath him. My breasts had never been responsive but one touch from Stone and my body wept for him. “Are you trying to distract me?”

“Is it working?” he asked, brushing his fingers between my legs.

“Yes,” I moaned. Grabbing his wrist, I lifted my hips at the same time he thrust a finger back inside me.

“Good.” He kissed the side of my neck. “Then yes, baby. I’m distracting you. I’m distracting you with all of me.”

Digging my fingers into his hair, I pulled his head back. “Then keep distracting me, Stone. Distract me until I can’t take anymore.”

For the rest of the night until early morning, he made use of my body and showed me over and over again what it truly meant to give up control. I let him do whatever he wanted which in turn was exactly what I had needed.

(Stone)

“Where are you?”

“Well hello to you too, brother,” I joked, teasing Angel on the other end of the phone.

“Shut up,” he grumbled. “Tell me where you are.”

“I’m about to head to base to work out.” I frowned, putting the truck into park. “What’s up?”

“We need to talk.”

I sat back, rubbing the scruff on my jaw. “Are you breaking up with me?”

“Stone,” Angel barked. “Fuck, you’re worse than Dale.”

“I learn from the best.”

“I’m heading over there.” Angel covered the mouthpiece, his voice muffled. “Yes, princess,” he said a moment later, his voice clearer. “It’ll be fine.” Jay mumbled something in the background. “I know.” He cleared his throat. “Listen, Stone. I have a proposition for you but I can already—”

“I’ll do it,” I told him, stepping out of the truck.

“You don’t even …” Angel blew out a breath. “Never mind. I’ve been informed there’s no point in arguing with you.”

“You were debriefed by my old Team Leader, Angel,” I said, stepping into the large building and made my way to the gym. “You already know how I am.”

“Fine. I’m on my way.” And with that, Angel hung up.

I spent the next half an hour warming up and doing some cardio but really, the cardio I would like to be doing involved someone who had to work. I already made Creena call in a couple of times since the night I brought her to my cottage. It had been a week of non-stop sex. As soon as she wanted to talk about heavy shit, I was on her. It wasn’t fair to her or to me but I wasn’t ready. I couldn’t deal with my past no matter how many months had gone by already.

An image of Luna slid to the forefront of my mind. Creena hadn’t asked any more questions about her. A part of me wondered if she was bothered by the fact I had a daughter and that was why she wouldn’t mention it.

After a month of spending time with her, getting to know her more, I became used to having her around. When I left her apartment earlier that morning, I made sure to leave her with my come inside her and my touch imbedded on her skin.

“Stone, you going to stand there and daydream or are you actually going to get some training in?”

I turned from the weight rack finding Lian and Henley standing at the door to the gym. I nodded in their direction.

“How’s that new toy you both keep fighting over?” I threw back at them, stretching my arms above my head.

A knowing smirk passed between the duo.

“Tasty,” they replied in unison.

I shook my head. I never understood it. I could hardly handle Creena let alone adding a second woman to the mix. I respected the hell out of them even though I didn’t get their interest in sharing one woman. They were best friends and found a similar interest in Max’s boss.

“Hey, guys,” a deep voice sounded throughout the room.

“Hey, boss,” Lian clapped a hand against Angel’s shoulder. “We still on for that extensive training?”

Angel nodded. “Yeah and I’m looking forward to that shit right now.”

A hot shiver rippled down my spine. I knew I sure as fuck was looking forward to it.

“Coby and Brogan train together.”

Maybe I should take Creena up on her offer.

Angel continued talking to Lian and Henley, their conversation going from our training to Angelica. His eyes lit up at the mere mention of her name.

My heart panged. I missed Luna. My sister was right. As time wore on, it was harder to watch her take my baby girl away from me. It wasn’t her fault. It was mine. I took full responsibility for the shit I had done and would do. But it would be over my dead body before I ever let her back into my house permanently while this shit was still going down.

Angel stepped in front of me. “Hey, brother. You good?”

“Yup, fine and fucking dandy.” The only good thing in my life was Creena. And even then, it was purely physical. Straight up hot as hell sex. Nothing more. Nothing less. That lie slid down my throat like acid.

“Shit, man.” Angel chuckled. “You’re worse than Coby. Which is saying something.”

I sat on the bench, twisted off the cap of my water bottle and took a long swig trying to ignore how true his words were. “What did you want to talk about?” I asked, throwing the bottle in the trash.

“We shouldn’t really talk here. I wouldn’t want the wrong person hearing our conversation.” Angel sat on the bench across from me.

“What are you talking about?”

“My proposition,” he said, kicking his legs out in front of him.

“Yeah. What about it?” I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms under my chest. I was itching to get back to working out and this vague back and forth bullshit irritated me.

“Let’s take a walk.” Angel stood and made his way to the door. “I suggest coming with me.”

I let out a hard huff of air. “Listen, if I did something wrong or if I my work doesn’t meet up to your expectations, let me know and I’ll continue training.”

“You would continue training even if I said you didn’t have to and that everything was fine and fucking dandy,” he said, using my words.

“Listen, Angel, I respect the hell out of you but I have no idea what the fuck is going on right now.”

Angel didn’t say anything as we made our way outside. We started walking down one of the running paths winding through the woods at the back of the training center.

Just when I couldn’t take it anymore, I opened my mouth to demand what the hell Angel wanted when his next words stopped me.

“I know your documents were falsified.”
