Chapter 2

Sam

“Fuck Tom!”

Turning I glared at Kevin. The fuck.

“I told you to fucking watch her.”

Rolling my eyes, I continued on my way. He wanted an old lady, and she was his fucking problem.

“Not my problem.”

He growled and stomped back to his office. Lark left her here two weeks ago, and the fucker was entranced with her. Not my problem, not my woman. She had a wild streak though.

She already dyed her blond hair brown. She said she could finally see herself again. They wanted her blond, so they dyed it. Her native American complexion gave her name standing. Add in her free spirit, and you had Maya. The little tornado. That’s what I liked calling her.

Kevin was getting a run for his money. She didn’t like being told what to do and the moment she found out it was his room she was sleeping in, she flipped a fucking table and started screaming about whores and their coodies.

Kevin ordered a new bed, and it arrived three hours ago. He thought she would be happy, but she wasn’t. I liked her Maya was exactly what Kevin needed. He didn’t realize her problem was with the whore who, two minutes after the bed was in place, wrapped herself around him asking if she can help him break it in.

Kevin, the idiot, stood there and said nothing. He wasn’t even looking at her. Fuck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t even know she was there.

I thought she was going to take the chair she was gripping to his head. Honestly, I wasn’t stopping her because it was fucking amusing.

Kevin wanted me to keep an eye on her, so she kept the crazy contained. I could care less if she burned the fucking furniture. Lark was right about one thing. We had no fucking clue what it was like to give two fucks about someone.

Texas.

The word whispered in my head.

Chapter 3

Lexa

He came back and smiled at me as he climbed onto the bed with Lisa. He removed her wrists from the cuffs holding her to the bed and repeated the process with her ankles. Then he was tossing her over his shoulder and disappearing out the door.

I knew that was the last time I would see her. She was off to be with the others. In a forgotten grave deep in the woods. His garden. Anger coursed through me. I’ve survived too much to end up here.

I was lost. Lost in the world of darkness and fear. Crimes and pain. I wasn’t so sure I was going to see that freedom I so badly wanted. Time slipped away, and soon I was drifting.

I dreamt that I was free, and the world had bright purple unicorns and short little leprechauns. I wanted to pretend even there in that rainbow filled haze that I wasn’t tied to a bed. That he wasn’t out hunting for another girl who would soon take my place.

I fucking hated the weakness I felt. The hopelessness wanted to crush me under its heavy weight.  Just a few minutes ago I was following the rainbow on the back of my purple unicorn trying to get to the gold at the other end.

But I heard him and a new girl. The girl was going to be a victim and just didn’t know it yet. She was walking into her own demise. I wanted to scream, but I was gagged. The fabric tucked into my mouth and another piece of fabric kept in place.

The knot was pressing into the back of my head, and I had a migraine from the pressure. I wasn’t ready to see her. I knew the moment she walked in that door that it was over for me. I wasn’t so sure I could hold out as long as Janie did.

The door creaked as it opened and fresh tears filled my eyes. I watched in fear as a blond woman entered the building. Her eyes got wide as she focused on me. I watched the change over take her.

I wanted to laugh as her fist connected with his throat. But the sobs kept coming, and I couldn’t stop them. I watched as the man who took so many lives crumpled to the floor. She was going to kill him, but I wanted, no I needed that honor.

She was looming over me before I knew it. Then the gag was gone, and I could breathe again.

"Name?"

"Lexa."

"Family Lexa?"

"I know what you're thinking, and I promise not to tell a soul. Truthfully, I want to stay with you."

She was staring at me like I was a bug pinned under glass. Strangely I was.

"Please. "

The whispered word was full of all the desperation I felt.

"We have a way to take care of this."

She was cutting the rope from my wrists as I winced as blood flow started back in my hands. She didn’t say a word as she dragged him to the bed. Quickly grabbing his feet, I watched as she lifted his wrists and I mimicked her by lifting his feet.

My hands hurt, but the feeling was easily ignored when I knew what was coming. I watched as she tied him to the bed. She didn’t pause as she climbed onto his chest and that was the moment he opened his eyes.

Fear shown through those evil eyes. I felt a small amount of satisfaction, but only a small amount.

“Oh, you sick fuck. I’ve been sent to send you to the only place someone like you belongs. Hell.”

When she turned to me, I expected to feel fear. She was terrifyingly beautiful.

“Want to go first?”

Did I? Oh, fuck yes. I wanted to cut little pieces of him off. I wanted to cut his dick off and watch him choke on it. The look of Janie’s face as she finally let go flashed through my brain and I let the anger take over the fear.

“We're going to kill you.”

My voice took on a sweet tone. Almost like I was talking to a wounded animal. He wasn’t wounded not yet, but he would be.

“You’ve been a very bad boy.”

Her voice was cool like they were talking politics and they were on opposing sides.

“I hate you.”

I screamed the words before I cut into his jeans. Not bothering to undo them. I just started cutting my way through the black slacks.

My fingers ran up his leg like we were lovers when I reached my destination, I looked at him with cold eyes. Then it was, it was in my hand, and the knife was cutting through his flesh.

Blood poured freely as I cut deep. It took forever, even if it only took a couple of seconds. Then it was done, I had removed his cock. His screams were filled with pain as tears spilled down his cheeks.

I watch as she opened the salt and started pouring it over the wound. Looking at him again, I held up his dick like a trophy.

“When you’re finished will you please let me finish him?”

I was waving around his cock like it was a wand. She laughed lightly.

“You did some horrible things. I’m here to punish you.”

Then there was a whip in her hand. She raised it and before the whistle echoed in the air as it dropped onto his chest. Blood welled as his skin split and made a nice slice right across his ribs.

She hit him over and over giving him about twenty lashes on various spots. I watched with a calm I was surprised by.

She leaned over him making sure he could see her face. His eyes were crazed and filled with pain.

“You killed her daughter, and she wanted to make sure you paid for it. I wanted to make sure you suffered for all the women you hurt.”

Then she was looking at me. I just stared back in some sort of detachment.

“Here you can finish him.”

“This is for the girl before me the one you buried. This is for all the horrible things you did to her. For making me watch and gloating about how I was next.”

Grabbing his cheeks, I pinched them hard and his mouth opened. I raised his dick, even though it grossed me out. I let him see it before forcing it slowly into his mouth. I didn’t let up I just pushed it harder until it was deep in his throat. He was struggling, shaking as he fought for air.

It was a good feeling. I enjoyed watching his face change colors. His face went from red to an odd shade of purplish blue. As he gurgled and slowly stopped struggling. When it was over, I felt nothing but freedom.

I swear I felt their souls. The souls of all those before me leave this place. I set them free just like Janie said someone would.

"We need to get cleaned up. I have clothes for you to change into."

"Thank you."

Then we were moving, and she was helping me. She pushed me into her car and slowly rolled down the dirt road. Less likely to leave tracks. The thought drifted through my mind slowly.

It was a weird thought. But the more I focused on it, the more truth I thought there was to it. I must have been lost in the fog coating my brain because we were sitting in front of an abandoned house.

A house that was falling apart. It was a safe place though. I knew this was where she has been staying. She was changing her clothes. Everything was black, and I knew deep down she was going to cover up what I had done. Once again, she was saving me.
