Trust Us (Sons of Sinners Book 5) by Erika Reed (9)

Chapter Nine

After Linc walked Alison to her waiting car, he went back to his office and called Stone. He had only spoken to him briefly earlier and now he listened to him talk about what had happened at the drop.

“We have the cases of distilled whiskey. But one of my men had to take a bullet for some asshole who tried to steal it from them once they had it in their possession.”

Linc listened to Stone speak on the other line. He knew it would be a gamble to try and purchase whiskey from a bootlegger. The stuff was worth the trouble, but the next time he purchased from the distiller, he would take different precautions.

“Do I need to send over my personal doctor to have your man looked at?”

“He will be fine. It’s just a flesh wound. One of the old ladies stitched him up with no problem. I will have a few of my men bring the van by in the morning. I think it’s best that we finish this job out tomorrow, don’t you?”

Linc didn’t question Stone. He trusted his judgment. “That will be fine. I will tell Steve to expect you tomorrow then.”

The guests had all gone home for the night and Linc was finally able to sit and relax in his quiet office. He relaxed his head on the back of the leather chair, closing his eyes and seeing Alison’s beautiful face staring at him.

Her long flowing blonde hair and big, almond-shaped eyes twinkled as she smiled at him. He had never seen a more beautiful woman than her. She had all the right curves he appreciated in a woman. Linc liked a woman who allowed herself to flaunt her full figure, showing the world that she didn’t give a damn how others perceived her. Lush, wide hips and a nice full rack was what Linc appreciated in the women who caught his attention.

He wasn’t too happy that he was now competing for Alison’s attention with another man. Linc wanted to be the only man she was thinking of. He never was one to share things in the past, so why should he start now? Maybe he should have her followed to see who this man was that she liked. He could politely ask him to step aside so that he could be the only man in Alison’s world.

Linc checked his emails and came across one from Bear and Saxton, asking Linc to join them at their wedding in a few weeks as they married their woman, Jill. He felt a little envious of the trio. He had never thought of marriage or a long-term relationship with a woman before he met Alison.

Could she be the woman he had waited for all his life?

He was a busy man. Did he have the time to give her the love and attention she would need? These were things he had never cared about in the past. But now he found himself thinking about being married and maybe even having children someday. He had never thought of such things until he met Alison. He had only known her for a short while, but after spending tonight with her, he didn’t see any reason why he wasn’t going to keep seeing much more of her. She was under his skin and he couldn’t wait to see her again.

Two weeks had gone by since Alison had performed at Linc’s club. Since that time, she had made sure that any extra time she had when she wasn’t singing at the bar, she spent with one of them. It was getting harder and harder for her to decide which one she was a better fit for. This was never her intention. Being an adult really sucked now that she was older and mature. The connection she had with both of them was indescribable. Each one of them brought something new and exciting to her life. More than ever, Linc and Roc had become the ones she looked forward to spending all her time with. She would never be able to decide between the two. She trusted each of them with her heart and her well being. Each of them knew about one another and never asked questions about the other. It was if they were in denial that she was seeing another man when she wasn’t with them. She made it clear to them both that neither of them would make her choose. They were both perfect in her eyes and completed her. She was finally happy for once in her life. She had always known that one day she would find the man of her dreams and he would make sure that no harm would ever come to her ever again.

Linc had taken her out to a nice dinner, just the two of them. It gave them time to talk and learn more about one another. She found out that beneath the hard shell that all the others saw, he was a sweet and kind man. And Linc was the suit and tie, business style attitude that had money and power. He was a true gentleman with her, holding the door open for her, ordering her food for her and never stepping out of line at the end of their date. His simple kisses left her wanting more.

And in that same time she was seeing Roc. She was torn between two men. They were both so different in appearance and personality. Roc was the bad boy biker who rode a Harley Davidson, had a tattoo, shaggy appearance and beard to match. A person who she never imagined seeing herself with in the future.

The day of Jill, Sax, and Bear’s wedding had arrived. Alison was excited to be a part of their momentous event. Before the wedding started, Roc had shown up to make sure the sound equipment was set up for her when she sang. She was sad that he was unable to stick around longer, but he told her the president and vice president needed him for a club meeting before the wedding started. It gave her the time to take a look around at where Roc spent most of his time.

Most of the men and women around were kept busy as they took care of all the arrangements for Jill and her grooms. Large glass vases of white roses were carefully placed in the center of each white-lined table. Even the chair slipcovers were white, she noticed. The caterers were busy with the banquet tables and warming tray for the food when it was ready to be served. Beside the bride and groom’s table was the stage and makeshift dance floor. Strings of little white lights were hung from tree to tree and around the large tents set up over the tables.

Once the guests had begun to congregate from the ceremony tent set up on the opposite side of where they held the reception, Alison began to get her part of the job done. While on stage she watched as the club members laughed, drank and socialized with one another as they waited for the bride and her grooms to finish taking pictures. Alison had chosen to wear a short floral blue and green print dress that came to her knees. The dress was cool and comfortable and flared at the bottom. She had fallen in love with it the minute she saw it in the dress shop earlier that week.

Finally Jill, Sax, and Bear arrived and took their seats before their dinner and drinks were served to them. As she sang a few of the requests the bride had given her, she watched as Roc stood beside the makeshift bar as a few of the club members spoke to him. He just stood there and listened to her as she sang, smiling like a goon. He had mentioned to her that he loved to listen to her sing and he heard nothing around him whenever her voice echoed in the air. He liked to call her his little songbird. As she stood watching him, she sang the last part of the lyrics just to him.

You came into my world and showed me how to smile again. I don’t know what I would be without you in my life. When I wake up in your arms, I thank God for giving me you. I know God will do whatever he can to allow me to share this moment with you for the rest of our lives.

When she was finished with the song, everyone hooted and hollered at her performance. Jill stood from her seat and jumped up and down as tears rolled down her cheeks. She blew a kiss at Alison, mouthing the words thank you to her. Roc waited for her to get off the stage as she descended down the steps. He lifted her at the waist and spun her around in his arms.

“You make me so happy, Alison. I can’t deny that I am in love with you and I don’t care who hears me saying it.” He set her down on her feet and kissed her with more love than she had ever felt from him.

After that declaration, she was a goner. “I’ve fallen in love with you too, Roc.” Once more he gave her a kiss that she felt all the way to her heart. She loved this man. She didn’t care what he had done before she met him. None of that mattered. Roc was her soulmate.

“Hello, Alison and Roc.”

She slipped out of his embrace and turned to face Linc, who stood before them looking strikingly good in a suit and tie.

“Linc, I didn’t expect to see you here,” she said in shock.

Linc listened to her sing as he stood beside Stone and Jace at the back entrance to the clubhouse. He wasn’t planning on attending Jill’s wedding to Bear and Sax until he received a reminder text message from Bear saying that Jill hoped to see him there today. He liked the trio and he had nothing better to do that afternoon so he decided to stop by before he went to the club later that night. But he never expected to see Alison up on stage singing to the crowd. He knew she had a gig that evening, but he never expected to see her there.

So Roc was the other man she had been seeing. It all made sense to him now. She never talked much about the other man, but she’d mentioned a few times when he had taken her for a ride on his Harley that he was the total opposite of Linc. At first when he saw Roc hugging her and giving her a kiss at the bottom of the steps, he wasn’t the least bit angry. In fact, Linc was turned on by her reaction to Roc. He knew his girl was special; she had a heart so big that she would find room for the both of them.

“I can see that I’ve surprised you by my presence.” He held his hand out to Roc. “Nice to see you again, Roc.”

Roc looked from Alison to Linc in confusion. Then he saw the look in his eye change. He now understood what was going on around him. He stepped aside to look at Alison.

“Linc is the other man who you have been seeing?”

Linc could tell Roc wasn’t angry, just surprised.

She looked down at the dance floor. “Yes, I have been seeing the both of you.” She raised her eyes to stare at them both in turn. “And I’m not ashamed of loving either of you.” She stomped her foot for added measure, making sure that they knew she was serious.

Roc snickered at her attempt to show them that she meant what she said and if they didn’t like it... then so be it.

Linc grabbed her by the shoulders and crushed her to his body. It was then that he realized that she had proclaimed her love to him as well as Roc. He pulled her away from his body and looked her in the eye.

“You love the both of us? But we can’t keep this up where we take turns seeing you each night. For some goddamn reason, I’m not the least bit jealous of seeing you with Roc. In fact...” He leaned down and whispered in her ear, “My dick is hard just thinking about watching you two have sex.”

The look on her face was priceless. She thought they were going to get mad at her for being in love with the both of them. Linc had never had a ménage a trois before in his life. This was something completely new to him— and frankly, it excited him beyond belief.

Linc looked to Roc. “I can see your wheels turning, Alison. You’re thinking about what it would be like if you were sandwiched between Roc and me. Four hands touching every inch of your body, our lips and tongues roaming all over each and every part of your sensitive skin. Or what it would feel like if we sank our cocks deep inside of each of your orifices, maybe even at the same time. Would you like to see that fantasy come true?”

****

Damn. Roc had a major hard-on in his slacks just listening to Linc talk dirty to her. If it weren’t for having to finish this night out at the reception, Roc would love to see Alison being fucked by the both of them.

When Alison had mentioned that she was seeing another man, he never assumed it would be Linc Fallon. Linc was a nice enough man. He didn’t really know much more about him than the jobs the club did for him or that he’d grown up with Sienna.

When Alison admitted that she loved them both, he couldn’t deny her that after all she had been through. Roc wasn’t against a ménage relationship. He just had yet to find someone he could share a woman with. Maybe after they spent some time together sexually with Alison they could see if things would work out for them in the future.

Alison’s eyes glazed over as she allowed the thought of having sex with the two men she had fallen for sink in. She looked to the both of them and then kissed them both on the lips in turn.

“Let me finish this night off for the bride and then we can talk or have sex if you are both up to it tonight.”
