Wild Play (Wild Boys Sports Romance Book 2) by Harper Lauren (4)

Chapter Four

Stryder

For a moment, I felt like kissing her right then and there. But of course I didn’t. I let her go, but I followed her out of the football field.

“Why are you following me?” she demanded, stopping right before her car and placing both hands on her waist.

“Just curious,” I answered. “And I was hoping you’d say yes to grabbing coffee with me?”

She hesitated, then shook her head. I thought she was going to turn around and leave then. But instead a playful smile began to form on her lips. “You know, I’m kind of in the mood for coffee. But I get to choose the coffee shop, okay?”

I suddenly felt elated. I wasn’t playing it cool like I usually did, which bothered me a lot. Nonetheless, I was ecstatic that she said yes.

“Sure, of course,” I said. “Lead the way.”

“Ride with me?” she asked, motioning to her old Civic model.

“No problem,” he said. “Just bring me back here later so I can get my car later.”

She smiled, looking more at ease now and even quite excited. “Of course, Stryder.”

Nothing prepared me for the scariest city car ride of my life. From the moment I sat on the passenger’s seat and strapped the seatbelt in place, I was submerged into a hair-raising experience. She was beating the red light on some intersections, dodging cars along the way and overtaking them whenever she could. I felt like I’d been transported into a video game where I could crash at any time!

I gripped the sides of my seat tightly, my teeth grinding together as I reeled myself to endure the rest of the terrifying ride. We were fortunate enough not to have been caught by the authorities and not to have crashed.

“Are you a race car driver?!” I asked loudly.

The woman looked calm. She gave me a casual grin. “Don’t worry, Stryder. We won’t get into trouble, I promise.” She seemed to know what she was doing, but that didn’t calm me one bit.

“We’re not in a fucking movie!” I yelled over the sound of the engine.

“I know!” she answered with a smile. “Real life stunts are so much more exciting!”

“You’re insane!” I couldn’t help saying out loud.

“I know!” she once again answered, laughing over the sound of the engine.

We had reached the highway leading out of the city. There were hardly any cars, so she pressed on the gas again, driving wildly into the night. I was being a sissy, perhaps, but I certainly didn’t want to die or have a run-in with the police. My dad would never let me live, especially if it was because of some stupid girl.

“Where are we going?” I asked, trying to calm myself down. “I thought we’re just having coffee.”

“Oh, we are,” she replied mysteriously, her blue-gray eyes twinkling. “But we’re going to have some fun, too!”

She was a huge mystery indeed, which fascinated me even more. I was admittedly smitten, though I was sure it was temporary. I had never stayed attracted to a woman for more than a month.

I glanced at her sideways as she began to slow down. I was relieved. I could think more clearly. And that’s when it hit me that she was a woman like no other I had ever met in the past. It’s probably why she seemed to have me wrapped around her little finger. It was the opposite of what I was used to. But somehow, I didn’t mind it much.

We came to a halt in front of a small white structure with no labels. It looked like a contemporary home made of metal and glass.

“This doesn’t look like a coffee shop to me,” I said, making her chuckle.

“We’re visiting a friend of mine first,” she explained as she called someone on her phone.

After a while, the door opened. An older guy came out. He gave Tasha a quick hug, which made me suspicious. But then I saw the wedding ring on his finger.

“What a nice surprise, Tasha,” he said. “How can I help you?”

“Hi, Phil!” Tasha greeted. “If you’re not busy tonight, I was hoping you could let us fly?”

“Sure, no problem,” he said. “Anything for you. My wife and kid are out, anyway, and I’ve got nothing better to do.”

“Thank you so much!” Tasha said. “By the way, this is my friend Stryder. Stryder, Phil is a former classmate of mine and a really good friend.”

“The football player!” Phil exclaimed, extending his hand. “It’s nice to meet you in person. I’m a fan.”

“Really now,” Tasha said, groaning. “Just my luck.”

I smiled and shook his hand. “Thanks, Phil. It’s good to meet you.”

Phil ushered us into his minimalist modern home and offered us coffee and cake. We chatted for a while and I could see that he and Tasha went a long way back. There was no malice involved, though.

I scoffed at Tasha’s idea of a coffee date, though. Why did we have to go all the way here and have coffee in another man’s house?! It surely wasn’t my idea of “fun,” unless she just wanted to take me on a daring ride going here. Or perhaps she didn’t want us to spend time alone.

After a while, Tasha looked even more excited as Phil led us out the kitchen door. To my amazement, his idea of a “backyard” was a huge cemented area that served as a parking lot for his chopper.

“I’m a sucker for helicopters and all flying vehicles,” he explained to me, chuckling. “Do you like these toys, too?”

“Uh, haven’t had the chance to explore them yet, I guess,” I said uncertainly as I followed him and Tasha to the helicopter.

In an instant, he’d gone inside and had brought the flying machine to life. The raucous sound was deafening in the silent evening, especially there in the midst of the city’s outskirts.

“Let’s go on the ride of a lifetime!” Tasha bellowed above the noise, taking my hand and pulling me toward the chopper. We climbed aboard and settled inside, putting on our seatbelts. I was both excited and tense as the vehicle began to lift off the ground, the rotor spinning fast above us and making a boisterous sound.

We were above the town in no time, gliding across the moonlit sky. I looked up with amazement at the stars that seemed to be within reach, and then down at the breathtaking view of the city lights below us.

“Wow, this is beautiful,” I said.

“Yes, definitely one of my favorite views of all time,” Tasha agreed. She leaned closer to me, looking out the window and pointing toward familiar towers in the city as we roamed around. I was very much aware of our proximity, her touch and scent fusing with the thrill of the moment. I could feel my heart racing and the hardness in between my legs growing as our shoulders kept rubbing.

Phil brought the helicopter back toward the direction of his home. As we were nearing the edges of the city, Tasha grabbed some jumpsuits from under our seats. She handed one to me. “Put it over your clothes,” she ordered.

“Why?” I wondered, looking at the blue jumpsuit strangely.

“Just do it,” she said as she wore the red jumpsuit quickly. I followed without any more questions, somehow enjoying the mystery and adventure of it all. She obviously had a penchant for electrifying ventures and gripping moments.

Next, she took out some gear from the back of our seats and strapped them onto herself and onto me. The way her hands touched different parts of my body stimulated me more, distracting me from my initial curiosity.

Phil seemed to head up to almost invisible clouds, making the helicopter hover. “Ready?” he called to us.

Tasha grinned and looked at me. “Don’t worry, Stryder,” she assured me even as my face turned white. “We’re going to skydive together. I’m a certified expert, alright?”

My eyes widened. “Skydive?! At night?!”

“Even more exciting for a first timer like you!” she exclaimed. “You’ll surely love the view even more! I promise.”

“Oh, shit,” I muttered, seriously feeling anxious. “Why did I ever ask you out for coffee?!”

Tasha laughed. “Because you like me? Well, consider this our first date, Stryder. Pretty cool, right?”

I gulped, but forced myself to nod. “Certainly unique,” I said.

She then headed toward the door, holding onto the side handle. “Move closer, Stryder,” she commanded. “I’m going to strap you to me.”

Now that sounded a little kinky and arousing, if not for the prospect of diving off a helicopter. I did as I was told, though, a part of me looking forward to the new experience. I pressed my body against her back, hoping she wouldn’t feel my hard cock rubbing against her butt. If she did, she didn’t acknowledge it. She was busy securely attaching me to her.

“We’re ready, Phil!” she said, making my heart pound a lot harder.

“I can’t believe you,” I whispered to her ear as she opened the door and the cool wind began blowing on us violently.

Ignoring what I just said, she told me to jump with her at the count of three. I was mortified.

“One, two, three, go!” she screamed. I leaped out the door with her into the open air, yelling and cursing like a maniac.

She was laughing and screaming in delight as opposed to the sounds I was making. From the initial free fall, I hadn’t even noticed she’d already opened up the parachute, allowing us to glide in controlled speed while the city lights sparkled beneath us. It was both romantic and exhilarating.

“Woohoo!!!” I eventually shouted with her, learning to embrace and enjoy the experience. “This is amazing!”

“Totally!” she yelled above the billowing wind.

We sashayed in open air, basking in the magical surroundings. Soon we were skating sideways onto an open field by the road. We landed on a soft patch of grass, laughing. She quickly detached the parachute from us, but we were still strapped together with her back on my chest.

“That was awesome!” I yelled. “I did it!”

Tasha kept on laughing as we rolled on our sides and I wrapped my arm around her waist. With her locks spread across the grass on top of her head, her neck was exposed, tempting me. I leaned forward and brushed my lips across the soft, smooth skin at the back of her neck. Even in the dark, I saw the goosebumps rise. She reached backward with her arm, grabbing my hair and pulling me back closer. I kissed her neck and her ear, my body heating up with sexual desire.

As I nibbled on her ear, I removed the straps that attached us together. She turned around then and without hesitation kissed me on the lips. Our lips and tongues found one another in erotic union, both of us hungry for each other. We kissed passionately, rubbing our bodies together and warming each other in the cold night.

I could feel my blood rushing even more now after the adventure we had shared. My hands explored her body eagerly as my desire dangerously heightened. She seemed to feel the same, though, the way she kissed me and held me.

All of a sudden, the distant sound of the chopper seemed to draw nearer and nearer. We reluctantly broke apart and stood up, looking toward the direction the sound was coming from. Phil was motioning to us. He had dropped a ladder for us to climb on as the helicopter hovered above the ground.

Tasha grinned. “Come on, Windfield Warrior!” she said, pulling me with her.

I was still a bit shaken from our intimate encounter, but I miraculously didn’t fall off the rope ladder as we both climbed back to the helicopter.

Now that was one date I was never going to forget.
