Fae On A Roll by Charlie Richards (3)

Chapter Three

Prudhoe knew his paramour was at work. As much as he wanted to sit in the semi-comfortable chair and secretly stare at his sexy human, he knew that wasn’t the best approach. No man, even one attracted, liked to be creeped on.

I need to do this right.

With that thought in mind, Prudhoe returned his book to the shelf. He didn’t want to create more work for his man when he hadn’t bothered to read a word of it. After a glance toward the nasty old woman at the front desk, he headed out the door.

Prudhoe wondered just how much bother the woman would be to his courtship. Now that he’d found his paramour, there was no way he’d be able to stay away from him for however many hours he was working—even if Korvyn was only there part-time. His need to connect—to touch, soothe, and take care of—was already growing inside him.

Leaving his motorcycle where it was, Prudhoe crossed to the strip of grass that ran between the street and the parking lot. He settled with his back against a tree. Getting comfortable, he pulled out his phone and pulled up an app for a number puzzle game he enjoyed—Sudoku.

To Prudhoe’s relief, he didn’t have to wait too long, only a little over an hour. At a few minutes past two in the afternoon, he watched the door open and Korvyn roll out. From across the parking lot, he took a few seconds just to admire his paramour.

Korvyn sported narrow shoulders and a slight frame. His chest was pretty well filled out as were his arms, shown off beautifully by the dark-blue polo shirt he wore. That made sense, considering he wheeled himself around in a chair. While it was tough to tell under his cargo pants, Korvyn’s legs seemed thin, making Prudhoe think the human didn’t have any use of them.

I wonder how he ended up in that chair. Hopefully, he’ll be comfortable telling me soon.

Prudhoe had loved peering into the man’s pale-brown eyes. His bottom lip was slightly plumper than his top one, and Prudhoe wanted to suckle it lightly. The way Korvyn’s cheeks flushed slightly when he looked at him, along with the soft musky smell of his arousal, betrayed his attraction.

I intend to capitalize on that.

Seeing that Korvyn had stopped between Prudhoe’s motorcycle and the modified Can-Am, Prudhoe rose to his feet. Huh. Is that my man’s ride? Korvyn set a bag he carried on the Can-Am’s seat, settling that question. Nice! The modifications definitely make sense. Prudhoe strolled across the parking lot toward Korvyn as pleasure filled him. His paramour appeared to like the look of Prudhoe’s ride.

When Korvyn spotted Prudhoe’s approaching figure, he lifted his hands and grinned. “Don’t worry. I didn’t touch it. I know better than that.” He tipped his chin toward Prudhoe’s big motorcycle. “Just admiring.”

Prudhoe knew Korvyn had the wrong idea—him stalking toward a guy could do that. Smiling warmly, he used his words to dissuade his human of his thought. “You are welcome to touch, handsome.” Prudhoe winked as he lowered his tone, filling it with innuendo. “In fact, I’d love it if you did.”

Korvyn’s lips parted, and his dark eyebrows shot up, nearly disappearing beneath his slightly shaggy black hair.

Figuring he might have come on a little strong, Prudhoe added, “Surely enough men have commented on how sexy you are.” Unable to help himself, and feeling like a giant looming over the other man, Prudhoe knelt on one knee and placed his left hand on Korvyn’s wrist. Gently massaging his human’s pulse point with his thumb, feeling the steady—if swift—pulse beating beneath the soft skin, Prudhoe continued, “I would like to get to know you, Korvyn. Will you have dinner with me this evening?”

While Prudhoe would love to suggest going to the small home he rented and having some fun of the vertical variety, dating was usually the first step with a human, right?

Korvyn glanced at where Prudhoe touched him as his nostrils flared. Meeting Prudhoe’s gaze, he slipped his tongue out and swiped it over his bottom lip, wetting it. It gleamed in the sunlight, and Prudhoe found himself leaning closer, his desire to taste the only thought in his head.

“I-I told you b-before,” Korvyn began, his tone breathy. “You don’t have to do this just because Katie made it seem like—”

“This has nothing to do with anything Katie said,” Prudhoe assured, struggling to control his lust-filled thoughts. His heart beat wildly in his chest, maybe in response to the swiftly fluttering pulse he felt under his thumb. Holding Korvyn’s gaze, Prudhoe peered into his paramour’s slightly dilated eyes. Such a good look on him. “As soon as our eyes met, you were the only one I could see in that aisle. My words to her were a means to an end... to send her on her way, so I could be alone with you.” Grinning, Prudhoe swept a hungry gaze over Korvyn slowly before again meeting his eyes. “And I look forward to the day when you will trust me enough to lay you down so I can explore every inch of your lean, sexy body.”

Korvyn’s jaw sagged open. His eyes rounded. Even his cheeks flushed. “W-Wow,” he whispered. “Y-You’re straightforward.”

“I wish only to be truthful to you, handsome paramour.”

Lifting his right hand, Prudhoe moved it slowly. He reached for Korvyn’s face, giving the man plenty of time to stop him. To his pleasure, his paramour just stared back at him.

Prudhoe cradled Korvyn’s jaw, using his thumb to trace under his lips. “So very handsome,” he whispered, once again entranced by the shine on his human’s bottom lip. “I wish to taste. May I?”

Even as he spoke, Prudhoe again leaned closer. The fact that this was probably neither the time nor the place didn’t factor into his thinking. Only his need mattered—his need to taste, to feel, to connect with Korvyn in the most primal of ways.

When Prudhoe didn’t hear Korvyn utter a word to stop him, he sealed his lips over his paramour’s. He slid his tongue along his lower lip, knowing he traced the line Korvyn’s tongue had taken only a moment before, and took his first taste of the other half of his soul. Flavor burst across his senses, masculine and sweet, like a mixture of man and his favorite rumbalar fruit from his native fae realm.

Exquisite. Perfect. Beyond belief.

Need more.

Tipping his head, Prudhoe nipped gently at Korvyn’s bottom lip. He used his thumb to scrape lightly along his jawline. The move drew the desired response, and his human opened to him.

Prudhoe took advantage. Easing his tongue into Korvyn’s mouth, he lapped along his tongue and traced his teeth. He gave his paramour a slow, thorough mapping. Instead of ravishing Korvyn, he made love to his mouth, teasing at his man’s appendage and entreating him to play.

A rush of pleasure flooded Prudhoe when Korvyn moaned into his mouth and began to kiss him back. His tongue was tentative at first, licking and lapping against Prudhoe’s own. He welcomed Korvyn’s tongue into his own mouth, enjoying it when his paramour did a little tasting of his own.

“Fucking faggots!”

The yelled words, probably from someone driving by in a car judging from the rumble of a passing vehicle, yanked Prudhoe from his enjoyment. The fact that Korvyn jerked and turned his head had something to do with it, too. Prudhoe couldn’t give a shit what other people thought, but judging by Korvyn’s scarlet-covered cheeks, he just might.

Hope I can soften that response because I intend to kiss him often.

“You okay?” Prudhoe asked, easing back a little so he could take in Korvyn’s features. He loved how kiss-swollen Korvyn’s lips appeared. Tracing his thumb up and down his paramour’s jaw soothingly, Prudhoe offered, “I’m not a shy man, and I don’t give a rat’s ass what some asshole might think.”

Korvyn scoffed softly, but it pleased Prudhoe to see a smile curve his lips. “Yeah, well, you’re big enough where you don’t have to care.” He motioned with his free hand at Prudhoe’s huge form. “I’m not that lucky.” Korvyn peered down at himself and winced. “Even if I wasn’t in this chair.”

Prudhoe took that as the opening it was. “Well, since I hope you’ll be with me more often than not when in public, that shouldn’t be an issue.”

Korvyn tipped his head, and his brows drew down. “Uh, you’re getting possessive fast,” he began slowly. His expression screamed that he wanted to ask something, but he didn’t know how to find the words. “So, um—” Korvyn shook his head, evidently mentally dismissing the thought. “Dinner. Yeah. I’ll have dinner with you.”

While Prudhoe wondered what had flitted through Korvyn’s mind, he would take what he could get. “Excellent. Pike’s Pub and Grub. Do you know it? Do you like the place?” That was where Prudhoe had first sensed Korvyn, so he hoped he did.

Nodding, Korvyn confirmed, “I’ve been there a couple of times. What time?”

“Give me your phone number and address,” Prudhoe demanded, pulling his phone from his belt. “I’ll pick you up.”

Korvyn snickered as his gaze strayed to Prudhoe’s motorcycle. “As much as I love the idea of sitting behind you on that thing, I don’t see it happening.” He glanced down at himself pointedly. “Unless you have another ride?”

Prudhoe shook his head as he thought quickly. “No, actually. Just this.” He glanced at his bike, understanding Korvyn’s concerns. There was no backrest on his Kingpin, not to mention there was no place to strap on a wheelchair. “Huh. Hadn’t thought of that,” he mused. The modifications made to the Can-Am suddenly made sense. “Guess I’m gonna need another ride.”

Frowning, Korvyn asked, “You’d switch your ride for me?”

Realizing he was probably coming off as moving way too fast for a human, Prudhoe tried to offer reassurance. “Sure,” he said with a grin. “If I wanna ride with my guy, I’m gonna need one that works.” Resting his free hand on Korvyn’s knee, he squeezed gently, trying to offer reassurance. “Don’t worry about it, though. I’ll give it some thought. In the meantime, meet me at the restaurant at seven.” Prudhoe winked. “I still want your number and address though.”

When Korvyn grinned broadly at him and nodded, Prudhoe felt the tension in his shoulders relax. He entered the information into his phone as his paramour rattled it off to him. Once that was done, Prudhoe leaned forward and gave Korvyn’s lips another soft, way-too-short peck.

As much as Prudhoe wanted to ravish the man, he didn’t think Korvyn would appreciate that. Well, not after the fact, anyway. Prudhoe rose to his feet, removing his hands from the man to ease his temptation.

“I’ll see you tonight, then,” Prudhoe stated, moving to his bike and swinging his leg over. He grinned at Korvyn. “Off you go. I want to see your sexy ass as you move from your chair to the Can-Am.”

Korvyn rolled his eyes as he barked a laugh. “Yeah, right.” He did maneuver close to his ride, though. “You just want to make sure I get on here safely. You got a protective streak. Doncha?”

“Not gonna lie to you, Korvyn.” Prudhoe rested his forearms on his bike as he watched patiently. “You’re so very right about that.”

As Korvyn spoke, he gripped a couple handrails and shifted from his chair to the Spyder’s seat. “Well, between my brother and his partner, I already think I’m covered.” He looked at Prudhoe and leered. “But I sure could use a good hard fucking. Think you can handle that after dinner?”

Prudhoe groaned as the image of himself pounding into Korvyn’s sweet ass filled his mind. His blood predictably fired in his veins, and his cock filled and throbbed. Leaning back in his seat, Prudhoe pressed the heel of his hand to the base of his erection, blatantly showing his paramour what his words did to him.

“Oh, damn.”

Hearing Korvyn’s hissed words, Prudhoe focused on his human’s face. He took in the man’s flushed cheeks and hungry expression. Fortunately, he didn’t appear concerned about the size of Prudhoe’s bulge—he was a big fae everywhere. Prudhoe swept his gaze over Korvyn’s features, and he recognized the look as one of arousal.

Just damn, my paramour wants me.

“This is going to be the longest afternoon of my life,” Prudhoe grumbled, scowling playfully at Korvyn. “Get on the bike and go home, Korvyn. Before I decide to throw you over my lap and take you home that way.”

Korvyn laughed and waggled his brows playfully at Prudhoe... but he did as he’d been told, too.
