Claiming His Virgin In the Pool by Cassandra Dee, Katie Ford (11)

CHAPTER 11

Trent

Holy fuck, she was pregnant? Carefully, I scooted up Kelsey’s dress, revealing an expanse of white thigh and soft stomach. It was impossible to tell, to be honest, because my girl’s so curvy everywhere that there could have been a baby in there. Maybe even two babies, but there wasn’t any way to be sure.

And as the brunette stirred on her shabby couch, I pressed a soft kiss to her tummy. Her eyes flickered open, those caramel pools dazed until she remembered what had happened.

“Oh my god!” gasped Kelsey, trying to scramble upright. “Oh god!”

“Calm down,” I rumbled, gently pressing her back to lay against the couch once more. “That douchebag’s gone for good, trust me on that. I didn’t even have to beat him into a pulp, he was such a fucking coward.”

Relief flooded the brunette’s eyes, but then they grew shiny with tears.

“I’m sorry you had to see that,” she whispered, looking down. “I didn’t expect him to come by and I swear, I haven’t seen Rick for months. We used to date a long time ago, but when I met you, Rick was history. I don’t even know why he stopped by,” she said in a pained voice.

I pressed a soothing kiss to her lips, trying to calm the beautiful girl.

“It doesn’t matter,” I said. “He’s fucking toast, and I could tell you didn’t want him. Besides, going by the way you were fighting him off, honey? You didn’t even need me. You were going to decimate him with your karate chops and assassin kicks.”

She laughed a little then, although the girl was still pale.

“Yeah, I guess you could tell that I pretty much hate his guts,” she murmured, flushing a little while stealing a peek at me through her lashes. “But did you hear the rest of what I said? I mean, the part at the end,” she babbled, cheeks turning a bit pink.

I shot her a lazy look.

“You mean the part where you declare your undying love for me? Or the part where you’re carrying my child?”

“I said that I loved you?” was her horrified cry, cheeks going scarlet. “Oh my god.”

I nodded smugly.

“Yep, and also that you’re pregnant with my child.” But suddenly, my expression grew serious, one big hand cupping her stomach reverently. “Is it true, sweetheart? Is my child in you at this very moment?”

She looked down, unable to meet my eyes for a moment. But then taking a deep breath, Kelsey lifted her gaze to me and her look was so limpid and clear that my heart hitched. Oh shit, this woman was the one for me, and nothing had ever been so certain before.

“Yes, there’s a baby,” she said a little tearfully, her hand coming down to cover mine gently. “I’m pregnant with your child, Trent, and … and … I love you and I want to raise this child together. I’m sorry that it’s happening like this. I know the Billionaires Club has rules and we pretty much violated every single one. I violated every one, and it was my job not to fall in love …and …and ….”

But I stopped my her with a deep kiss, angling her chin with a hand to position her exactly the way I wanted. My soul dipped before soaring, and instinctively, she twisted in his arms so that we were pressed together, not an inch separating our forms.

“You don’t have to be sorry,” I rasped when we finally broke away, my blue eyes seizing her brown ones. “This is what I want too.”

She sat back for a moment, lips trembling and surprised.

“It is?” came her wobbly voice.

I nodded.

“Sweetheart, I came over here to tell you the exact same thing, and hearing you say what we both feel is amazing. In fact, I got those for you,” I said, jerking my chin over one broad shoulder, “but we were interrupted by that twerp so I didn’t get a chance to give them to you properly.”

The girl gasped because on the tiny kitchen table was a bouquet of red roses, each flower a velvety ruby of fragrance and beauty.

“Really?” she mewled in a wavery voice, tears coming to her eyes. “You feel the same way? But what about the rules of the Billionaires Club? You know, how we’re not supposed to get involved, and how I’m not supposed to expect anything?”

I caught her chin with my big fingers again, forcing the gorgeous brunette to look into my eyes.

“Those rules mean shit,” I growled. “Especially not when we’re in love. Because honey, I love you, you love me, and that’s all that matters, rules and regulations be damned. What’s in here is what’s important,” I said, thumping my chest emphatically, “and not what some idiots dreamed up. Plus, we’re expecting a baby,” I added, sliding one hand against her belly, “and nothing’s going to keep me away from the mother of my child.”

With that, our lips joined, our souls merging into one. Because our relationship started as part of a filthy swimming club. Kelsey arrived at the manor, hoping to have a good time and maybe even land a job. But instead, she met me, and the female’s given me so much, including her heart and now a child.

So I nibbled Kelsey’s lips again, teasing her out of her funk. But then she pulled back, those caramel eyes meeting mine again.

“Wait a minute,” came her slow voice. “Did I really say I love you before I passed out? Or were you making that up?”

I grinned knowingly.

“Sweetheart, it depends. In some ways you said it, and in some ways you didn’t. Let’s just say that I heard something come from your lips before you fainted, and the words were so powerful that my heart leaped. Besides,” I said, brows waggling. “Aren’t they true? Isn’t that what’s important here?”

And with another giggle, she threw herself into my arms once more. But this time, to be sure, Kelsey pressed her lips to my ear before whispering, “I love you, Trent Major. Always and forever.”

My heart leapt, and I kissed her fervently before pulling back, emotions churning.

“And I love you, Kelsey Smith. You mean the world to me, sweetheart.”

Because things were going to work out. The curvy teen went to a dirty pool party with no expectations other than to have a good time with her friend that night. And now look what had happened. I’d met a beautiful brunette who was the answer to my dreams and our future was passionate and bright … as well as sparkling with promise.
