Chapter 15
Kendrick
Aileana stood gazing at the moon over the dark water looking so bonnie in the moonlight. She made his heart pound as no other woman or Selkie female ever had. Kendrick was drawn to her now, just as he was when she was a young teenage lass. Only now the years had passed and he could act upon those emotions. His thoughts brought him to the conclusion he would make her his in body and soul. Her willful nature was a challenge that called to him. She would be strong and stand at his side to rule his clan with him.
He watched her turn away from the sea and walk toward his cottage up on the hill. He took a different path to meet her at his cottage so she wouldn’t realize he’d been watching her as she walked along the shore. She knocked tentatively on the front door.
Kendrick approached her. “What brings ye here this time of night?”
“I came to apologize about how badly I reacted to the news that you’re a mythological creature.” There was a smile on her lips. “You just never know how you’re going to take astonishing news until you’re the one receiving it. I did some thinking about what you said, and I realized you’re the same man or male, I know, or whatever! I’m aware something is happening between us, and I feel we need to see where it leads us. I don’t know about you, but I feel this kind of tugging on my feelings toward you. It is hard for me to explain it as I have never felt it before. It is as if this is where I need to be—with you.” She said it in a rush, trying to say everything all once. Perhaps before she could change her mind.
That was all he needed to hear from her as he took her hips and pulled her close to his body, she felt so small tucked up against him. He felt the swell of her breasts against his chest. Her nipples pebbled against him. His hard length pressed into her stomach; he knew she could feel his need and desire for her. He bent down to taste her luscious mouth. He explored her lips, which were so soft and plump, waiting for him to make her his. Their lips fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Kendrick moved his tongue to the seam of her mouth to savor her nectar. His tongue lightly probed until she opened for him. Then he slid in her lush mouth to taste her sweetness within. He could sense her tongue was as curious as his to touch and take as they collided and tangled with each other.
His hands skimmed up her hips to the small waist he could span easily. She moved closer to him so his rigid length pressed against her flat belly. Kendrick’s hands moved up around her full breasts and palmed them to explore their weight. Her nipples tightened further as he pinched the rosy peaks.
With his other hand, he pushed the door to the cottage open and guided her into his cozy, warm home. His home was lit only by the glow of the peat burning in the fireplace. He gathered her in his arms and carried her small form inside. He placed her on her feet in front of the fire on the sheepskin rug. They stood looking into one another’s eyes, and he saw the passion which lay just beneath the surface of her beautiful face.
As their eyes were locked together, he took a few moments so they could catch their breath. “Aileana, ye know I want ye. I need to know if this is something that ye want, too. I want to make love with ye. I need to be inside of ye. If you’re not ready, I need to stop now before I can’t. Yer all I’ve been thinking of since ye came back to the village.”
“Kendrick, I did a lot of thinking, and not just about you being a Selkie. I also thought about the feelings I have when I am with you. I have had you on my mind more than I will admit since you spilled my drink on me in the pub. I want to see if this is more than a leftover schoolgirl crush.” She smiled. “I want you, Kendrick.”
He reached for her again and she came to him willingly and melted into his body. As he sampled her mouth once again, she ignited such a fire within him, it was difficult to not to rush. He wanted her to experience the need just as much as he was consumed with his, the need to be with her.
They made love with their tongues, and he slid her sweater up her body and over her head. He pulled it off in one quick move so he could feel her skin next to his. He slowly moved his hand to the front of her black lace bra to unclasp it so her full young breasts would spill into his waiting hands. Kendrick heard her sigh as his mouth traveled down her neck. He licked and bit his way to her beautiful full globes.
He suckled at each breast in turn so they would know the feel the brand of his mouth and tongue. He lapped at each nipple; they got much harder and fuller, wanting and waiting his attention. As he laved each breast he could feel the beat of her racing heart, keeping time with his own. There was no doubt whether they would make love, they were each driven by their inner animal to do what nature demanded.
