Claiming his Love: (His Love) by M.J. Perry (11)

Chloe

“There you are.” David said as he came up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.

“Sorry, I just needed some air.”

“Don’t be sorry. Are you ok?” I could hear the concern in his voice, feel it as he gently brushed my hair to the side and brushed his lips against my ear.

“I’m alright, I just feel a bit overwhelmed right now. It’s been a long day.”

“Any regrets?”

“I have no regrets, I just...” I trailed off unsure how to say it.

“Just what?”

I smiled shyly. “I want to leave. I don’t want to be rude to anyone I just want to spend some time with my husband.”

“I can arrange that.” He said in a deep voice.

“The goodbyes will take forever, never mind the thank-you’s.” I groaned. I probably sounded so ungrateful ,but it was nearly ten o’clock and I wanted a little alone time with my husband before the stroke of midnight.

“No, they won’t.”

Curiously, I stared up at him and he winked. His hand enclosed mine, and he started walking towards the stairs by the side of the house, gently tugging me along with him. When we got to the bottom, we walked down a path lined with tall hedges and then they disappeared leaving me to stare at a grinning Arnold. He opened the door of the limo and waited politely for us to climb in. I hesitated, “People will think we are rude.” I said worriedly.

“No baby, they will understand that as newlyweds we want time to ourselves.”

I was glad my mum and dad had already left because I didn’t want them knowing I was sneaking off to make love to my husband. They’d needed to get back to their road trip. “If you’re sure,”

“I am, now climb in, I have a surprise for you at home.”

“You’re full of them lately.”

I sat down and looked at my left hand rubbing my fingers over my wedding band. David had got our rings in secret, he'd wanted to surprise me and he'd definitely done that. It was amazing and definitely, my perfect ring. The band held three tiny pink diamonds that sparkled every time I moved my hand. It matched my engagement ring. David’s band was plain, but it was in the style of mine. I’ve never seen such a beautiful ring.

“You deserve beautiful things.” David said to me and I wondered if I’d spoken aloud. “I’m pleased you like your ring.”

“There was never any doubt. You know what I love.”

“Yeah, me,” He grinned.

“Yes, I do. What’s my surprise?”

“You’ll have to wait and see.”

“I could kiss it out of you.” I teased.

“You could try, I won’t tell you anything, but we’ll both enjoy it.”

“I can’t deny that.” I moved closer to him. Arnold had closed the privacy screen when we’d entered the car so I knew we didn’t have an audience. I kissed him, hard on the lips. He opened his mouth, and I flicked my tongue against his teasingly, he let me do this for a moment before his hands lifted to hold the back of my head and he took charge of the kiss. His hands sank into my hair and gripped tightly while his tongue thrust in and out of my mouth caressing as well as demanding. It was a heady feeling, one that gave me butterflies in my tummy and turned my body hot. I groaned softly. He pulled away from me breathing hard. “If we don’t stop, Arnold is going to get a shock.” He leaned his forehead on mine and closed his eyes. “You’re such a temptation.”

“And you’re such a sexy man.” I grinned. “I can’t wait to get you alone.”

The car came to a stop just as David was using his fingers to brush my hair back from my face. He helped me out of the car and we waved to Arnold as David opened the door to let us in the house. I walked in holding his hand and stopped in shock as I looked around. “You lied.” I whispered.

“I know but I wanted to surprise you.”

“Well, you’ve done that.” I cried.

“Do you like it?” he sounded worried.

“Of course I do. You’ve put all my furniture in your house, even my photographs.” What an amazing present this was. I hadn’t in a million years expected this.

“I wanted you to feel at home here.”

“I liked your furniture.”

“I know and I did too, but yours makes it feel like a home.”

“Like Callie’s and Alex’s house.”

“A piece of you in a piece of me,” David said and I could have cried at the sweetness of him. Instead, I moved towards him wrapping my arms around his waist. “Thank you so much.”

“No, Chloe, thank you. I was living before I met you but my life was empty. Now it’s filled with happiness.”

I sniffed. “You say the sweetest things.”

“And you owe me a lot of thank-you’s.”

I laughed. “You’d better get to it then hadn’t you?”

“Oh yes baby I believe I should.”

And he did.
