Hatchet: Rebel Guardians MC by Liberty Parker, Darlene Tallman (14)

Chapter Fifteen

DJ

We’re sitting at the clubhouse in the main room and the guys just finished telling us all about Starla’s confession. The kids were taken to the movie room with the prospects, so the guys could speak without any hesitation. I can’t believe that low-down, no-good bleach blonde Barbie wannabe! What a fucking twat! I knew she had issues but jiminy crickets, really? She nearly destroyed our two families!

“I’m not gonna say what I was thinking out loud,” I state. “Y’all don’t wanna know what shit is running through my head.”

Hatch pulls me closer and whispers, “Babe, don’t think you were thinking anything that didn’t cross my mind.” Damn, I love my man. He gets me and isn’t trying to mold me into something else.

“Braxton?” Nan asks, having sat there and listened to what the guys shared. “I need a gun.”

“Why do you need a gun, Mom?” he asks.

“I’m taking her out. No one is going to threaten my grandchildren and live to tell the tale.”

“Mom, I’m not giving you a gun. In fact, no one is giving you a gun,” he states, looking around the room.

“Nan, we can go shopping tomorrow if you want,” I tell her, earning a bunch of angry looks from Braxton and the rest of the guys. Hatch squeezes me tighter.

“Fine. But that woman will never get out of there if I have anything to do with it,” Nan mutters. She has taken this crazy crew of men and their women and kids and made them all hers, blood or not.

“So, have you two decided on when you’re getting married?” Cara asks. Gotta love the bestie when she changes the subject!

I look at Hatch which is easy seeing as I’ve been in his lap since we got here and ask, “Well, lover? Any idea? I know I’d like the ceremony here. Surrounded by our friends and family, the ones we love are the only ones that matter.”

“Having our wedding here at the clubhouse would be perfect,” Hatch agrees with me.

“Then it’s settled,” Nan says, “we’ll get started on the planning right away.” I’m happy to have the focus on anything but Starla right now.

“I can’t wait to make you mine in the eyes of the law, baby. You’re already mine in the club, but that piece of paper will seal you to me forever, you know that, right?”

“I know, Hatch. I have something I wanna ask you but not sure now is the time.”

“We’re with family, sweetheart,” he says.

“Do you...do you want to adopt Ralynn?” I ask.

“Absofuckinglutely. And I want you to adopt Maysen.”

“Do you think she’ll want that?”

“She’s calling you ‘Momma’ so I don’t see why not, but we’ll ask her, okay?” he replies.

“Okay, we’ll ask her when we get home.” I can’t wait to hear what she says.

Nan gets up and heads to the kitchen to get refills for everyone and we’re just chit-chatting when Bandit walks into the clubhouse. “Y’all are gonna wanna hear what I’ve found,” he states as he goes to the bar and pulls out a beer. “The kids aren’t anywhere around, are they?”

“No, we have them in the movie room with the prospects,” Axe says. “Wait a second, Mom is in the kitchen making the girls more of their frou-frou drinks.”

I laugh because she’s making us her own version of the blackberry margaritas that they sell at the Barnhouse. Well, except for Cara. She’s making her virgin margaritas. “Hey, DJ?” Cara asks while we wait.

“Yeah?”

“When are y’all getting married? You never gave me an answer and I’d prefer not to be too much of a blimp.”

“I don’t know yet, but you’ll look gorgeous no matter if Omar the tentmaker has to make your dress.”

“Bitch.”

“That’s Miss Bitch to you,” I tease.

“Soon to be Mrs. Bitch,” Hatch whispers into my ear. I burst into laughter at his words. I’m not really a bitch except to those who try to hurt my family. I’m either your best friend or your worst enemy, just depends on where you land on the totem pole in my life. I am who I am, and you’ll never hear me apologize for being this person. It helps that my old man accepts me, all of me, and hasn’t even attempted to change one single thing about me.

“Are y’all done yet with the kissy-kissy, lovey-dovey shit?” Bandit asks, fuck I forgot he said he has something to tell us.

“Go on, brother,” Hatch tells him.

“Okay, y’all know about the breach with the personnel files,” he starts.

“I’m going to contact the credit watch company when I go in,” Cara replies.

“Well, I found some pretty big deposits in Starla’s financials. One the day before the incident at the school, then another one last week. Tracing it back, it came from the Jensen’s.”

“Fuck!” Axe roars. His anger is evident when he throws his beer bottle across the room against the wall.

“You’re cleaning that up,” Nan states.

“Whatever, Mom. Continue,” Braxton commands. He’s using that voice again and the room quietens with us all now looking at Bandit.

“This next part—well, Starla isn’t Starla. Not exactly, anyhow. It seems you do know her Hatch, but you know her as Star McAllister.”

I hear my man’s indrawn breath and look at him. “What, babe?” I question.

Hatch, looking at everyone, says, “After Anniston left, I briefly hooked up with a woman named Star. She became a five-grade clinger though and I wasn’t in the right headspace so I broke up with her. But...she doesn’t look like she used to.”

“Well, I can tell you why that is,” Bandit responds. “She has had major plastic surgery and when you were with her, she was a redhead.” Guess that explains the bleach blonde look then.

“So you’re saying that she changed what she looked like, then got a job at the trucking company because of me?” Hatch asks. “That kinda borders on psychotic, doesn’t it?”

“She’s got a history of being in and out of several institutions,” Bandit confirms. “She’s definitely not all there.”

“Ya think?” I ask. Fuck. Part of me, the female part, wants to feel bad for a woman who is so crazy she changes everything about herself to capture the attention of the man she’s enraptured with. Then again, she tried to kill my daughter so...my feel sorry button is permanently broken where she’s concerned. “She’s whacked in the head, that’s for sure, but my give-a-damn is busted. She deserves whatever she gets and honestly? I hope that now she’s behind bars, that’s the last we’ll hear of her.”

“What about the Jensen’s?” Cara asks. Good question.

“They’ve both been arrested as well,” Law responds. “I’ll keep y’all apprised but expect they’ll all try to cut a deal. However, the charges are pretty severe so even if they cut a deal, none of them will see the light of day any time in the near future.”

“Well, we’ve figured out she’s one screw loose of entering the cuckoo's nest, let’s get a wedding planned,” Nan says, breaking into the conversation. I love her unique sayings, they often make me laugh. I can see how stressed out this conversation is making her, so I elbow Hatch to get his attention.

“What is it, baby?”

“Look at Nan, this is too much for her, let’s get the conversation changed.” He looks at her and nods in agreement.

“So, how long will it take y’all to plan a wedding?” Hatch asks. He knows when Nan sets her mind to something, it’ll be done in no time flat. “Do I need to give you my card, Nan?”

“Fuck, don’t give her your card!” Braxton says. “She’ll break your bank and you’ll have a wedding fit for a prince.”

I laugh at his statement but fish out my card anyways and hand it over.

“Well, she is my queen and I’ve got two princesses so whatever.”

“Can the prospects build a gazebo?” Nan asks.

I see Braxton sigh before he hands over his card. “Go ahead, Mom, but can you put it over by the pond?”

“Man, I can cover that,” Hatch states.

“No, it’s something that was on our list, remember? So I’ll cover that and you can handle any decorations.”

“You got it, Action Braxton,” I smartassly say to him, which causes him to send a scowl my way. Hey, if you live life with only seriousness, it will be boring. I have to keep these guys on their toes. “So, when you wanna go shopping?” I ask Cara.

“Let’s get your house all unpacked, and the boys set up in school first,” she says.

“Good idea.”

“So we need a cake, flowers, y’all need dresses and so do the girls. I presume you men will wear jeans and a nice shirt with your cuts,” Nan says, pulling a pad of paper out of her purse. Leave it to Nan to be prepared for everything that can come up.

“Nan, what are you, Mary Poppins? What else is in that bag of yours?” I ask curiously.

“You never know what will pop up with these knuckleheads,” Nan tells me.

The women disappear into the kitchen, with wedding planning on the mind. “So, I guess all we have to do is show up,” I remark.

“Um, you’ll have to get the marriage license,” Law says.

“We can have the prospects line up on the aisle,” Braxton muses. “And I’m presuming you’ll want the boys involved?”

“I’ll get DJ up to the courthouse in the morning and we’ll apply for our wedding license,” I tell Law. “I want all my brothers standing with me, but I know she’s only got Cara and Paisley.”

“What about the girls?” Twisted asks.

“Y’know, if they’re up there, then I can have most of you guys.”

“Twisted? Can you do the ceremony?” I ask.

“Yep. I’m ordained,” he replies.

“She might want Trinity too,” I say.

“Damn straight she’ll ask Trinity,” Chief informs me, I give him a look as if he sprouted an extra head or two.

“This is DJ’s decision, Chief. Don’t pressure her, y’hear me?” He nods his head, but doesn't look happy with my declaration.

“Brother, none of us will be upset if we’re not up there with you,” Bandit states.

“Yeah, me and Bandit can sit in the audience or even help the prospects with the bike aisle. That would give you three on each side.”

“Then let’s do this—Axe, Chief, Law and Capone, y’all and the boys will stand up with me. The rest of you can be part of the bike aisle and Twisted will get us hitched.

“We need to find out how long before we can adopt them,” I muse.

Law, overhearing me, says, “You’ll have about six months of visits from their caseworker before the motion to adopt can be brought before the judge.”

“What about the girls? I’m planning to adopt Ray and DJ wants to adopt Maysen.”

“Shit, brother, you went from a woman and one kid to an old lady and four kids in the span of less than a month,” Capone states.

“How’s that bus coming?” Smokey asks.

“Fucker. We’re getting a Suburban. DJ feels comfortable driving it which is all that matters. We’re adding a few options to it as well.”

“Like what?” Bandit asks curiously.

“We’re getting the pedal adjusters, so she can set hers and I can set mine. And she wanted seat warmers. Plus, we have the DVD player in it, but we talked and when we’re with the kids, we want to be able to talk and bond so that won’t likely be used except for long trips. And she had to have a navigation system. She’s directionally challenged, y’all. It’s honestly a miracle that she ever made it here that night.” The guys laugh at the description I give. They obviously forgot what Cara said that night but after several months of having to give her directions, I know my woman. She’s a helluva good driver but if she has to go anywhere, she either needs a GPS system or else I drive. This way, I won’t be worried when I go out on runs and she has to go somewhere, I’ll know she’ll make it safely.

The night comes to a conclusion with us all making plans to meet up in the morning. Everyone is coming over to help us get the house unpacked. Luckily, we left one prospect behind to let the delivery men in to set up the beds and the movers who moved the furniture over from the townhouse.

DJ

We talk to the kids on the way home and Maysen is ecstatic to hear that she would ‘really’ be my little girl. We let the boys know that once Trinity tells us we can, we want to adopt them as well. I can see Hatch gulping back his emotion when Jasper says, “I want to call you Papa because we had a dad but you’re going to be our new dad.”

Talon takes a gulp and says, “Thank you, we would love for you two to adopt us.”

“I’m good with that, Jasper. Talon? Whatever you’re comfortable calling me is fine with me.”

“I’d like to call you Papa as well. That way, the girls don’t get confused.”

Maysen then pipes up and says, “We should call him the same thing. Ray? What does you think?”

Ray, his princess, thinks for a minute and then replies, “I think we should all call you Papa now especially since Talon and Jasper called their father ‘Dad’. Is that okay?”

“As long as y’all don’t call me late to dinner, we’re good,” Hatch says. I smack him because the kids don’t always understand his sense of humor.

“Da... I mean, Papa, you’re never late to dinner,” Maysen states. “Why would you say that?”

“Sweetie, he’s saying that he’s okay with you kids calling him ‘Papa’,” I respond, before I smack him again, grateful that it’s dark in the vehicle. We aren’t exactly legal right now, but we’re not too far from the clubhouse.

“What should we call you, Miss DJ?” Jasper asks.

“What do you feel like calling me?” I ask him, he looks confused and unsure of how he should answer the question.

This time, it’s Ray that speaks up, saying, “We call her ‘Momma’ so maybe you should too!”

“We can do that because we called ours ‘Mom’. What do you think, Talon?” Jasper asks his brother.

“Sounds good to me, little brother,” he says, ruffling Jasper’s hair. I love the relationship those two boys have, I hope it trickles into their relationship with Ray and Maysen as well. I can already see the hero worship in the girls’ eyes when they look at the boys, so it won’t be hard for the girls to bond with them.

We pull into the driveway of the new house and I’m excited to see all of their faces. Hell, Hatch bought it practically sight unseen! Turning around, I say, “Okay, it’s kind of late, but everyone needs to grab a shower. While you wait for your turn, we have beds to get made. When we get inside, I’ll show y’all where your rooms are. Tomorrow, while we’re getting the rest of the house unpacked, you’ll be over at Aunt Cara’s house.”

I can see how excited they are as they all get out of the truck and I notice how Talon is helping the girls unbuckle and get down. I send up a silent prayer that Hatch and I can continue raising both boys in a way that their parents would be proud of them.

As we go up the porch, Hatch unlocks the door and says, “Hold up, kids.” Then he scoops me up and carries me across the threshold, causing a squeal to escape me at the shift in our position. “Okay, now y’all can come on in,” he states once he’s put me down.

“Hatch, why did you do that, we aren’t married yet?” I ask him.

“Because, gorgeous, this is the first time we’re entering our house together, and I wanted it to be a time that sticks in your memory.” Well, it will definitely do that. He’s given me so many good memories since we met that I may need to start journaling.

“Where’s our room, Momma?” Ray asks.

“C’mon, y’all, let me give you the short tour, okay?” Without waiting, I walk back toward the girls’ room and am thrilled to see that not only did they get their new beds set up, but one of the prospects made their beds with their new sheets and comforters.

“Gorgeous, you want me to help the girls while you show the boys their room?”

“Nope,” I say, popping the ‘P’. “We’re all going.” Walking back down the hall, I turn into the kitchen and say, “Here’s the kitchen so you know where to show up for breakfast tomorrow.” I say cheekily, looking at Hatch, I see a crooked smile appear on his face.

I feel a smack on my ass and look over my shoulder to give him a death glare, but that smirk has me grinning instead. “Alright, here’s the stairs to get to the next floor. Please be careful and remember the house rule of no running inside.”

Ray, looking at the boys, says, “I forget that one a lot.”

“She does and so does Luca if memory serves,” I reply. “However, we’ve got hardwood floors and they would hurt you if you fell and cracked your head on them so please, try to remember that rule.” Heading up the stairs, I feel a bit like the Pied Piper with Hatch directly behind me and the kids coming after him with Talon at the back. He reminds me so much of Luca right now with how he’s standing in the back being all protective over the younger kids. I’m thinking Luca must have had the ‘we protect the girls’ talk with them, bringing another smile across my face. I’ve smiled more in the last few months than I have in a lifetime. I’m surprised I don’t have a permanent one attached to my face. We finally make it to the top and I turn toward the boys’ room. Once they walk inside, I hear the gasp come out of Jasper’s mouth. “This is all for us?” he asks me.

“It sure is,” I tell him.

“We haven’t had a real bed since Mom and Daddy died.” he says, sniffling. I immediately go to him and wrap him in my arms. I don’t even want to know what they were sleeping on at the Johanson’s house. I want to go and shake that woman up and ask her what she was thinking. These are amazing young men who deserved to be treated with care and love.

“You’ve got one now, little man,” Hatch says, pulling Talon close when he notices him wiping his eyes. “How about I give y’all a hand to get this shower and bath thing going a bit quicker? Gorgeous? You go help the girls and then we’ll meet in the kitchen for a before-bedtime snack and mini-family meeting.”

Mini-family meeting? What the hell? I give him a look and he merely grins at me. That man obviously has something up his sleeve besides those awesome biceps.

Hatch

Somehow, we all manage to reconvene in the kitchen roughly forty-five minutes later and I smile when I see my princesses wearing matching Frozen nightgowns. Guess that’s going to be their new thing. I suspect Lily will join them as well since she’s become thick as thieves with Ray. I motion for them all to sit down in the eating nook area and hide my smile when I see the girls sit next to one another and Talon sit across from Jasper, making sure he’s got his back to the wall and able to watch everything. Not saying a word, I go over to the fridge and open it, grateful that the prospects got what I asked for. Pulling out a pitcher of lemonade, I grab the red solo cups as well as the other bag on the counter that has some shortbread cookies. I pour all of us a cup and hand out cookies. I can see my woman looking at me with consternation all over her face and I gently stroke her cheek.

“Okay, y’all. I figured that since it was the first night in our new home we could celebrate as a family. I know we don’t all have the same last name yet, but that’s going to be happening so I want you all to look at each other and realize that the people sitting here are your family. We’ll have some house rules that Momma and I expect you all to obey. First and most important is that we’re to be respected. We’re the adults and we’ll always do our best to make sure we don’t steer you the wrong way. Second, your rooms are yours. What that means is you girls must be invited to play in the boys’ room and vice versa. Third, well...that’s all I got right now. I know it’s a lot of newness for everyone so do any of you have any questions?”

“I have something to add,” DJ says.

“What’s that, gorgeous?”

“I expect you all to do chores and help out around here. They won’t be anything that’s not age appropriate. Keep your rooms picked up, if you make a mess clean it up, if it’s something you can’t do on your own, ask for help, don’t just leave it. I will do all the major household cleaning, and I will do everyone’s laundry, but I won’t be crawling under beds and getting clothes,” I say, looking at Ray. She always puts things under her bed and I hate getting down on my hands and knees gathering them all.

“Hey, gorgeous?”

“Yeah, handsome?”

“This is a big-ass house.”

“It is, yes.”

“And you work plus you’re a writer. I don’t want you getting so overwhelmed that you get stressed out, especially since I still have to occasionally go out of town.”

“How about we play it by ear? This is my home, and I’m not ready to give up the reins to a cleaning service,” I say knowing where he was going with that.

“How about I tell you that we’ve got a cleaning service that will come in and do the big stuff every week,” he retorts.

“Hatch! We can’t…” How the hell did he know what I was fixing to say? Damn man is a mind reader! Drives me up a wall.

“We most certainly can afford it, woman. We’ve got four kids, we both work, and you also write. I won’t have you wearing yourself out.”

“Can... can we eat together at night?” Talon asks. “That’s one thing I miss the most.”

“Well, when I’m home, all of us will eat together. Sometimes, we have family functions at the club and sometimes, it’ll just be you kids and Momma if I’m out of town. And sometimes, we’ll go out to eat.”

Jasper’s eyes get wide and he looks at Talon before asking, “Even Whataburger?”

“Especially Whataburger,” I reply. The kid’s got good taste. “Alright, if everyone is done, let’s get our teeth brushed and get into bed, the next week is going to be busy.”

“Why?” Maysen asks.

“Because, Momma and I are getting married and she’s gotta get you girls your dresses and the boys and I need a new pair of jeans and a nice shirt.”

“Why do we need new clothes?” Talon asks me.

“Because you boys are standing up with me,” I answer him.

“We are?”

“You sure are,” I answer Jasper. “The girls will be standing with Momma, along with Aunt Cara, Aunt Paisley and Miss Trinity.”

“Plus, I have to get all of you enrolled in your new school on Monday,” DJ interjects.

“Ugh, school,” Jasper says, hanging his head. “I’m not so good at school.”

“You will be, little man,” I tell him. “We’ll help you, okay?

“Now, let’s hop to it, chop suet’s.” The giggles at what just came out of DJ’s mouth have me grinning. Pulling her close, I give her a quick kiss before I head back up the stairs to make sure they brush all of their teeth, not just the front four.

DJ

I’ve got the girls squared away so I head into our bedroom. Going over to the alcove, I see that the prospects got my laptop set up along with the printer so I quickly check my emails. I’ve been waiting on the last edits from my editor and if memory serves, the deadline is looming to get the pre-order up. I smile when I see the email and quickly print out the manuscript. Yeah, it’s a pain in the ass, but I found toggling back and forth often causes me to miss shit. This way, I can visually see her suggestions and changes and then decide whether or not to make them. I shoot my PA, Nicole, an email letting her know I just got the edits and am in the middle of moving again, but everything should be ready to go in the next week or so. Scanning the rest of my emails, I decide they can wait until the next day which is a good thing because suddenly, I’m engulfed in a pair of arms.

“Hey, gorgeous, do you need to work?”

“Nope, just printed out the manuscript and will start working on it in the next day or so.”

“Do you have a release date?” God, I’m proud of my man. He knows jackshit about what I do, but he obviously understands what a release date means.

“According to the email I just read, I have to have the manuscript uploaded by Friday in order to honor the pre-order date.”

“Then I’ll make sure that you have that time.”

“Right now, though, I kinda wanna christen our room. How about a shower, lover?” I ask him.

He pulls me up and into him for a hug. “Love you, DJ,” he whispers, his beard tickling my neck.

“I love you, too,” I respond. We walk into the bathroom where we strip each other of our clothing and hop inside of the shower, which he started as soon as we entered the room.

This shower isn’t like our old one, it has the side jets and also a rainfall showerhead that comes from the center of the shower and the water falls throughout the entire length of the stall.

He starts lathering me up and when I go to move, he shakes his head at me. “Nuh uh, babe, we’re not going for the main event in here.” Well fuck. Guess he wants to get me all hot and bothered first. Well, two can play at that game, right? Grabbing his body wash, I lather up my hands and slowly glide them across his shoulders and down his arms, before moving across his chest until his nipples stand firm and erect.

“DJ,” he growls out between clenched teeth.

“What?” I respond, my tone as innocent as I can make it.

“Woman, you’re playing with fire, let me have control, baby.” I sigh, knowing that when his dominant side comes out I don’t stand a chance. It’s easier to give in, especially since I know I’ll end up the winner in this game at the end.

“Okay, baby. I’ll give you your way this time,” I respond. I make it sound like I’m disappointed even though I truly am not. He bends down on his knees and begins washing my feet. I moan out in pleasure since he’s massaging them as he goes. “Feels so good,” I say and he smirks. He goes up my legs and travels up my body paying special attention to my breasts when he makes it there. Now my nipples are hard and erect, a fact he obviously notices because he drops a quick kiss on first one, then the other. When he finishes washing my body, he grabs my shampoo and lathers it in his hands before scrubbing my scalp and washing my long hair. When he’s satisfied he’s done a good job, he rinses it and repeats the same process with my conditioner. As he leaves the conditioner in my hair to sit, he washes the rest of his body. Once he’s teased me by rubbing his hands all over his body, he comes back over to me and rinses my hair thoroughly. He turns off the shower and grabs two towels. He wraps one around his waist and dries my body and runs the towel through my hair to get as much water from the strands as possible.

“C’mon, gorgeous,” he says, leading me over to the double vanity sink, where he picks up my brush and runs it through my hair before he picks up his toothbrush and brushes his teeth. Taking advantage of the fact he’s occupied, I brush mine before I quickly braid my hair so I don’t look like Medusa in the morning. He takes my hand and leads me to the bed and motions for me to climb in before he goes over and makes sure the door is locked. Man, he’s got a great ass. Then again, when he turns around and I see what’s coming toward me, I grin and lick my lips. “Whatcha smiling about?” he asks, climbing in and pulling me toward him.

“Admiring the view and thinking I’m grateful it’s all mine.”

“Forever, DJ,” he says, leaning down and capturing my lips with his.

Gone is the slow, teasing Hatch from the shower. His hands stroke and knead me increasing my desire tenfold. “Please, Hatch,” I begin to beg him.

“You want me, baby?”

“More than my next breath,” I reply.

“Patience, gorgeous,” he murmurs before his head lowers again and captures my nipple in his mouth. My back bows off the bed as he uses his lips, beard, teeth and tongue on first one side then the other. His hands move down to my hips and before I can say ‘more’ he is down there with my legs over his shoulders. He swipes his tongue from back to front and I pull his pillow over to cover my face. I know we’re on the other side of the house from the girls, but what he’s doing has me about to totally lose my shit. If I was to let go right now, the entire city would hear me. “Y’know you’re going to move that,” he says, lifting his head. “Watch me love you, DJ. They can’t hear. And I’ll be making sure our room is soundproofed so you’re not worried. I want you to feel free to let loose with me.” After those words, he goes back to what he was doing, only he adds two fingers. I can feel my juices running out of me but can’t bring myself to give a flying fuck. I’ve never been so turned on before. He’s moving his fingers in and out in time to what his tongue is doing and I find myself climbing that mountain. Just as I’m poised to jump over the edge, he stops.

“Hatch!” I all but growl out at him.

“What, baby?” he asks, grinning at me. I can see my juices covering his face.

“Don’t stop, for fuck’s sake.”

“Not stopping, baby, just switching things up,” he says to me. He puts his body between my legs and lines himself up to my entrance. He looks into my eyes, and I’m mesmerized by the look on his face so I keep eye contact with him as he slams inside of me. The pace he sets is almost brutal in its intensity, but I love it. Seeing the muscles in his arms flex and contract as he moves is a turn-on in and of itself. “Wrap your legs around my waist,” he commands. I do as demanded and wrap my legs tightly around him. I grab him so hard in my grip as if I’m afraid if I let go or move, I’ll lose this connection we have. I claw his shoulders because I can feel that familiar tingle start to take over. Not ready for this to end, I pull him closer to me.

“Let go, baby, I’ve got you.” As if he’s said the magic words, my body explodes around him. I scream out his name, no longer caring if anyone overhears us.

I feel him grow larger inside of me and his body goes rigid. Repeating his words back to him I say, “Let go, lover. Give me everything you’ve got.”

He roars my name and I can feel him emptying inside me, sparking a second orgasm that takes me to the stratosphere. When I come back to myself, I find that we’re now face-to-face but still connected. “You good?” he asks, his breath still unsteady.

“Yeah. Hell, I’m better than good, lover. That was...damn, I have no words.”

“Gets better every time,” he says, just like he does after each and every time we make love.

“It does, lover. Can’t imagine what it’ll be like in fifty years.” He smiles at me and I wonder what for, so I ask him just that. “What’s put that smile on your face, lover?”

“I’m just happy you see us together then,” he tells me.

“Absofuckinglutely,” I reply. Sated and content, I stroke his face and look him in the eyes before saying, “Jayden, you’re the best thing, next to having Ralynn, that’s ever happened to me. Ever.”

He grabs my face between his hands and plants a kiss on my lips.

“You and these kids complete me,” he says when our lips part.
