Over The Edge: A Dads Best Friend Romance by Charlotte Grace (4)

Chapter 4

Geoffrey

I momentarily worried that my mishap Wednesday would lead to trouble, but when Missy waltzed into the office in a short dress that accentuated every curve I was pleased to be wrong. Oh, this would lead to trouble, an entirely different kind of trouble. One that made it hard to focus on anything but her. The dress she wore today was hardly within the dress code that was set and was worse than the one she wore the day before, but I couldn't find it in me to reprimand her. I should, I thought, as I shifted in my seat to look at her. I bet if I pulled her across my lap now the dress would ride up and I would get the opportunity to feel that soft skin as I spanked it.

Right now wasn't the time for these kinds of thoughts. We were in the middle of a financial meeting about budgeting and the sales numbers that were coming from the last quarter. I didn't absorb any of it. I made the mistake, or maybe it wasn't a mistake, of tapping Missy to come in to take notes. So far, she looked like she was dutifully doing just that.

Her dark hair was curled around one shoulder, revealing just how low cut that dress was. I still had a hint at a view of her cleavage and it was hard to keep my eyes away from her. This was a teasing thing she was doing, which I hadn't been prepared for. I expected some sort of backlash after I had taken her across my knee. It was a lapse in judgment but I could see that punishment wasn't something she had gotten from home. I doubted she had ever been spanked in her life. I enjoyed doing it too much.

It seemed to have made an impact as far as I could tell. Thursday, she was on time. Amy informed me that she was ahead of her duties, that they both managed to get everything settled at the end of the day yesterday.

"It's a first," she said, still seeming to be in awe. "I was skeptical about you getting another assistant and at first I thought she would be useless. Now I don't have to worry about taking work home with me."

It was good to know. While Missy seemed to change and take the duties of work more seriously, she seemed to be determined to challenge me in other ways. The dress today was a good example. Yesterday’s outfit was another, though it had been a little more professional. Coupled with the open flirting she had taken to, it felt like it was a test I was bound to fail.

I wanted to say Wednesday had been a mistake, but I couldn't. I couldn't while looking at her and remembering the feel of her in my lap. Spanking her wasn't going to be enough, that much was obvious.

After the meeting, I couldn't help but guide her from the boardroom back to my office. My hand lingered at the small of her back, feeling the light material of her dress. "I want you to type up those notes and email them to me," I instructed her as we walked. Hopefully, they were thorough because I hadn't been paying any attention at the meeting.

"Yes, sir." There was something teasing about her tone. I couldn't help but look at her when I dropped her off at her desk. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Mr. Hollister?" Her eyes were huge and I couldn't help but give her the once over as she stood by her desk.

She took the time to toss that wealth of hair over her shoulder so I could get the full view of those high breasts beneath that low-cut collar. This girl was going to be trouble now. "No." I decided I wasn't going to fall for it. "Just the notes will be fine."

I didn't wait to see the reaction she had to my rejection. It was foolish to think I would be swayed by something like that. Especially with Amy sitting at her desk taking it all in. I didn't want the other woman to know what I had done. Or what I wanted to do. One mishap would be enough for this week; I wasn't going to let it happen again.

It didn't matter how much I wanted her. It was inappropriate. If she wanted me to give in she would have to be smarter than this overly obvious flirting and her inappropriate attire. She'd have to try harder than that. At least it would be amusing to watch as she tried to garner my attention.

The intercom beckoned me and I heard her purr into my ear, "Mr. Hollister. You have a call on line three."

I closed my eyes and tapped the appropriate line, the blood swelling in my cock to the point I was nearing dizzying levels. This girl really wanted me to spank her again it seemed. "Hollister Aviation," I announced to my caller.

"Geoff," Ross answered in greeting. "I hate to feel like I'm doing this, but you're going to have to tell me how Missy is doing again."

I couldn't help but laugh, though it was a little uneasy. Did he know what I thought about his daughter? From his complaints before when we arranged this position for her in my office, I got the feeling that he saw her as more of a nuisance than anything else. I didn't think he was so observant as to the person she was becoming. Maybe that was why she was giving him so many issues. "She's doing fine, Ross. Are you going to call me every few days to check in on her?"

"I was worried when I didn't get a complaint about her being late the other day. I was hoping if you were going to fire her you'd give me notice so I could prepare," he said shakily.

I didn't know what his plans were for her if she failed at this job. "It's just been her first week. This is something she is going to have to adjust to. It was just one mistake. If I can overlook it as her boss, I know you can, too."

"Your son is far more reasonable than Missy is," he pointed out.

There was a lot of differences between our children. It would be hard to compare them on any level and I wasn't the person to do it. Not with as much as I wanted her. "Let's not worry about that. If she gives me problems that require any serious reprimand I will let you know. Being late one day isn't something I'm going to fire her for." I shook my head as I spoke. "What you need to be worried about is how you're going to handle another defeat on the course tomorrow."

He laughed then, this was obviously something he had been worrying about since she started. "I'll put up more of a fight this time," he sighed into the phone. "I owe you one."

"You do," I agreed. Though, he probably wouldn't if he knew what I did to his daughter. What I wanted to do to her. "I'll see you tomorrow bright and early my friend." I ended the call and I sat back.

Missy was trouble that I was going to have to do a better job resisting.
