Stolen Omega (Kodiak MC Fated Mates Book 0) by Eva Leon (10)

2

When they got back to the clubhouse, Bryan went to light a fire and Raven headed home. Dakota decided that, for now, he and Kyle would stay at the clubhouse and use the master bedroom. He asked Bryan to stay with them in one of the other bedrooms. He felt better having him there to help protect Kyle until they knew he was safe for sure.

Dakota wanted to call his aunt to ask about Kyle’s parents. He took his phone out of his pocket as Kyle sat on the couch and watched Bryan work on the fire. Before he could dial, a text message came in from a blocked number.

This is war.

“Oh shit,” Dakota said.

There was a knock at the door. He instinctively went for the gun hidden in a chest next to the mantle.

“Woah. What’s up boss?” Bryan asked and stood up.

“Cover me,” Dakota said and tossed the second gun to Bryan. “Go upstairs, baby. Lock the door. Don’t come out until I say it’s clear.”

Kyle hurried upstairs and locked the bedroom door. Dakota went to the front door. He looked out the peephole. Standing on the porch was a redheaded Omega.

He was dressed in a black tank top and ripped jeans. His hair was a mess, one side of his face was bruised. The Omega’s arms and shoulders were covered with bruises as well. The poor guy looked hurt and terrified, but Dakota wasn’t taking any chances.

“What is your name and what do you want?” he said through the door.

“My name is Sam. I’m hurt, and I need help. Markus knows you’re the one who stole Kyle. He went crazy, and he’s getting his men together to come over here and take the Omega back. Can you please let me in? I’m scared.”

“Let. Him. In. Now,” Bryan growled from the other side of the room.

“What’s wrong with you, Brother?” Dakota asked.

“Please, Boss. Just let him in,” Bryan said through gritted teeth.

The only thing that would make a bear react that way was his mate. Could this Omega really be Bryan’s mate? Could he really tell from just hearing his voice? Dakota knew he could. He opened the door cautiously and looked around to make sure the Omega was alone. He was, and he pulled him inside.

“How much time do we have?” he asked Sam.

“Not much. He’s got his men and the men from a couple other chapters of the MC. I’d bet they’ll be here in less than an hour,” Sam said, his voice shaking.

“Call the men. Tell them to lay low or get out of town. We’re going to head for California and hope that Kyle’s parents are still living near my aunt. His father is an Alpha and he can help us protect Kyle. Tell any of the men who want to ride with us that they have ten minutes to get here.”

“Bryan, are you okay taking Sam on your bike?” Dakota asked.

“Of course.”

“Wait, I’m going with you?” Sam asked. He was frightened and shaking.

“We’re not leaving you here. Markus will find a way to get information about us out of you. I can’t take the chance,” Dakota practically roared at him.

Sam flinched a little, but Bryan walked up and put his arm lovingly around the Omega’s waist. “It’s alright, red. He’s just worried. You’re safe now.” And for reasons Sam didn’t quite understand yet, he felt completely safe and loved with this man’s arm around him. He put his head on Bryan’s chest and started to cry. Bryan pulled his Omega close, stroked his hair, and told him, “Don’t worry anymore, Love. It’s going to be alright now.”

“Sam?” Kyle was halfway down the stairs. When he saw the Omega, he stopped walking, and his face turned ghostly white.

“I told you to stay upstairs,” Dakota said to Kyle and shot him a commanding look.

“Hello, Kyle,” Sam said, looking sad and contrite. He knew now that he should have abandoned Markus long ago, and that he could have spared himself and Kyle lots of pain if he’d taken the other Omega and fled.

“Bryan, you can cuddle with your new Omega later. If you want to keep him safe, get on the phone with our brothers. Kyle, go upstairs and get ready to ride. We’re heading for California tonight,” Dakota said.

He followed Kyle up the stairs. He went to the bathroom and washed his face and hands.

“I don’t suppose I have time for a shower?” Kyle asked when he realized Dakota was watching him.

“Markus is coming for you,” he replied gravely.

Kyle’s eyes went wide, and all the color drained from his face again. Kyle’s bottom lip started to quiver, and tears threatened to spill over onto his cheeks.

Dakota moved to him quickly and collected his Omega into his arms. “Don’t worry. I’m getting you out of here. We’ll head for California and find your parents.”

“Boss, get down here. You need to see this,” Bryan called from the base of the stairs.

Dakota grabbed his gun from the back of his waistband. “Stay here,” he said and headed down the stairs.

“Whoa, Boss. Sorry I scared you. No need for the gun,” Bryan said. “Go look outside.”

Dakota walked to the front door and looked out. What he saw made him as proud as any Alpha could ever hope to be. Every single one of his Kodiak brothers was outside on their bikes, ready to ride with him.

“Bill, what is Cheryl going to say about you going along with us,” Dakota called out to one of the older men sitting in the center of the line of men.

“She understands that we are brothers and that I need to be here with you. Oh, and she packed me a sandwich,” he said and patted his saddlebag.

“We’re all ready to go, Boss,” Bryan said. He took Sam’s hand and led him out to his motorcycle.

“Come on down, Honey,” Dakota called up to Kyle. He followed him out to his bike. Once Dakota was on, he climbed on and wrapped his arms tightly around his Alpha’s waist. He had rescued him once on this motorcycle, and here he was, rescuing Kyle again.

The MC roared out of the parking lot and onto the highway. There were about thirty of them in this chapter, and they could count on the support of other chapters and other friendly bear MCs along the way.
