Chapter One

Elizabeth Walker—Lizzie to all her friends—stared down at her cell phone and saw no notifications. Working in a coffee shop hadn’t been her idea of a good time, but it was close to the campus and provided her with enough money to get by. The problem was, she’d experienced a run of bad luck lately, and if she didn’t come up with some money soon, the landlord would kick her ass out of the apartment she lived in. The visit she’d had to the hospital had completely drained her funds, and now she owed them money and her landlord money—not to mention it was also another school year, so brand-new books had to be purchased.

The more she thought about the money she owed, the more she broke out into a sweat. Life wasn’t supposed to be this complicated. College should be the best time of her life, and yet, it was turning into a disaster.

Pocketing her cell phone, she stepped up to the main counter with a smile on her face and began to take orders from the long queue of clients. At least she knew how to make a good coffee.

Still, at the back of her mind, she wondered if anyone would ever consider her. Signing up for the website had taken really big guts from her. Okay, she didn’t exactly have much choice, but she’d heard a couple of girls laughing about it in class, and she’d been desperate. She’d signed up for a sugar daddy website. It was like an online dating forum, only you knew straight away it was going to lead to sex if you got contacted. She’d read through all the pertinent information attached to the website.

Safe, consensual, and they demanded the first meet be in a public place as per the agreement on the website. She didn’t know if anyone actually stuck to those rules, only that she was going to. Not that anyone would ever click on her picture. She was the only fuller woman on the website, and she’d checked.

The truth was, part of her wanted the help and another didn’t want anyone to click on her name.

An older man would pick her, if he picked her, and she’d give him access to her body for money. She was being a whore, only a selective one.

She smiled as a man came up to the counter.

“A latte. No sugar, quickly.”

There were people who were so rude, but she kept on smiling and made his coffee quickly. She put it in front of him, told him the price, collected his change, and handed it to him.

At least she wasn’t selling her soul or her virginity. Nope, that had been long gone when she’d gone to her high school prom.

The girls she’d heard giggling in class had mentioned how they’d been drowning in debt, but with a couple of dates, the men they’d serviced had made it possible for them to get out of debt and start saving.

She wanted to get out of debt, save money, and have as much of her student loans paid off as she could.

There was no way a man would ever pick her though.

Men didn’t want the fuller, curvier, or, as some deemed them, plus-size. No, they wanted the slender girls with big tits and tight ass.

Her ass fit into a size eighteen, and her tits were large enough that she always had to go a size up so it didn’t create that little gap in the chest area.

Could she go through with it, though?

Right from the start, she knew they were going to have sex. By the end of her shift she was close to removing her name from the damn site. Leaving the coffee shop, she grabbed her large bag filled with books, and walked toward her apartment.

She didn’t look at her cell phone, refusing to see if someone could even want her. Putting herself on the line like this didn’t exactly cheer her up.

One week and nothing.

It just went to show that her parents were right. She wasn’t worth anything, and no one could ever want her.

Getting to her door, she saw a sign on her door letting her know that her landlord was looking for her. Taking it from the door, she opened up the letter and saw the final warning. If she didn’t pay the backdated rent, he’d have no choice but to evict her.

Resting her head against the door, she slammed her hand against it. For the first year, she’d been flying high on the success. A full scholarship, away from the family that did nothing but criticize her, and a job. She’d made it. One year of success had run into a second year of bad luck. That full scholarship was downgraded to only a partial, so she had to start using all of her money to fund her college expenses. Not to mention the sickness that had sent her to the hospital, getting a bill from them.

Now, year three, and she was drowning.

Opening her door, she locked it behind her, flicking on the light. She headed toward the small kitchen and pulled out a packet of ramen noodles that would help her think. She hated noodles. They were not appetizing at all. Most of the time they made her feel sick, but they were cheap and she saved a lot of money.

As the noodles were microwaving, her cell phone beeped. Pulling it out of her pocket, she saw it was a notification from the sugar daddy website. Closing her eyes, she clicked on the notification, and it opened up.

“You have been noticed.” She read out the words, and then went to the account, logging in to see she had a message waiting for her.

The microwave beeped, and she grabbed her bowl, stirred it with a fork, and took a seat on the chair near her pile of books.

Twirling the fork in her bowl, she slurped up the noodles and decided to read the message aloud.

“Hello, I like your picture, and was wondering if you’d like to meet up. I’m not a man looking for love, just a good time.”

She stared at the message, not really sure what to say. There was no picture just a name, Sugar Baby Wanted.

Biting her lip, she decided to text back. When would you like to meet?

The point of the website was to meet men who had the means of taking care of them. That was what she’d read and heard those girls talking about. Her heart raced as she waited for his response.

She didn’t have to wait long before her phone beeped.

The location he gave was the campus coffee shop where she worked, and her heart raced.

“Oh, shit.” She ran a hand down her face, wondering what the hell to do. What if this guy was a stalker looking for his next victim and she was it?

Time passed, and another text came in.

Clicking on the button, she read it out aloud again. “As bizarre as this sounds, the campus coffee shop serves the best stuff. I like a good cup of coffee, and if it would also help you to feel better, how about we meet at lunch when it’s super busy?”

Releasing a breath, she decided that she had to have a go at it. There was nothing else she could do. The letter was the final straw. The landlord had told her before that if a letter appears then he would be forced to kick her out.

She texted back.

Elizabeth: Sounds good.

Daniel Clark wasn’t a man used to having to deal with trivial matters. He was a successful lawyer who was at the top of his game. At forty years old he’d already made partner after winning every single case he’d been given. Work had been his only need in life, and nothing and no one would ever change that.

The problem he had was it left very little time for anything else in his life. His family was constantly nagging at him to settle down and have a wife, a couple of kids. He didn’t have the time for that, nor did he have time for dating. The women that were part of his life always expected something from him.

Sex no longer meant sex.

There were always higher demands. They wanted to marry, have kids, and be the one to tie him down.

He wasn’t interested, and then he’d happened to overhear a little conversation around the coffee machine. Several of the men were talking about this new site that allowed men to meet women. He’d stayed around long enough to discover the site was indeed called Sugar Daddy, and it allowed for men to find women, younger women who offered themselves for the right price.

Investigating the site, he really didn’t like it. Some of the pictures were exclusive and not just anyone could see them. He had to create an account in order to get access to the site, and when they asked what his preferences were, he’d been given a selection of women near his area for him to look at.

Only one woman had caught his eye. She had long, chestnut-brown hair, gray eyes, and he saw something within her gaze. Unlike some of the women, who seemed confident and thrust their chest out, this woman didn’t. There was a smile on her lips, but he liked how she seemed so reserved, so far away from it all.

He’d also liked her figure.

All of his life he’d preferred women who were on the fuller side—curves, ass, tits, he was all for it. One of the things he hated more than anything was taking a woman to a fancy restaurant only for her to spend most of her time dissing the food. He couldn’t stand that, and often found her disgusting by the end of it.

If he was going to take someone out for a meal, he expected them to appreciate the food that someone else had cooked for them.

He couldn’t have everything his own way, so that was why he now sat at the coffee table near the campus waiting for the woman to show.

Daniel came here regularly for coffee, and this was the first time he’d actually taken the time to look around the place. Half of the time he had his head in his cell phone, responding to an e-mail or answering a client’s message. It was all money, and he loved every second of being in the courtroom or dealing with the research behind the scenes. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do.

Tapping his fingers on the table, he watched the door, waiting. He was aware of the women around him. Some were sending flirtatious looks his way.

He didn’t really think much of the age gap between himself and Elizabeth. She was a twenty-one-year-old student. That was all he knew.

Staring out the coffee shop window, he spotted her instantly. Her long brown hair cascaded down her back, looking wild and free as her head was bent down.

Only when she entered the shop did she look up, and she glanced around the room, spotting him.

He’d promised to have a red rose on the table. She held her finger up, and he watched as she stood in line, waiting for a coffee. The picture she’d taken didn’t do her justice at all. The jeans she wore molded to every single curve, and she’d matched it with a black shirt that only emphasized the size of her tits. They were huge, easily in double letters, and he couldn’t wait to see her naked.

That was his first initial reaction. He wanted to get her naked. She also wore a pair of glasses today, and he noticed her hands kept clenching and relaxing.

She was nervous.

When it was her turn to be served, she smiled at the man opposite. He saw an easy chemistry between the two that made him wonder if they knew each other.

With her coffee in hand, she turned toward him.

There was no hiding now.

She dropped her bag to the floor near her chair and slid inside.

“Hello, Elizabeth.”

“Hey … erm, I don’t really know what to call you.”

Her cheeks went a bright shade of red, and he found it to be the sexiest color he’d ever seen.

“Daniel. My name’s Daniel.” He held his hand out and she took it, smiling.

Her grip was gentle, and he noticed that she kept tucking her hair behind her ears.

“Have you done this often, D-Daniel?”

“Not at all. You can say that I just listened to a couple of guys talk about the site. I got curious, and then I saw you. What about you? Have you got many…” he looked around the room and leaned forward, “sugar daddies?”

She shook her head. “No. This is my first, my only time doing this, and someone responding.” She shrugged. “You were the first.”

“I find that hard to believe.”

“Are you flirting?” she asked.

“Maybe. Isn’t that website what this is about? Flirting. Having some fun without the promise of something else?”

“I guess it is. With the other stuff involved. Money.”

He saw the guilt and shame cross her face, and he couldn’t help but reach across the table and take her hand.

“You need money?” he asked.

She nodded but didn’t say anything. “I’m not an addict or anything. I’ve just fallen on really hard times.”

“You’re a student. I don’t imagine you’re making much money. That’s okay. We can deal with all that soon.”

Elizabeth pulled her hand away and sipped at her coffee. He saw she had no intention of speeding things along. She was … reserved, and he liked that.

Daniel wasn’t interested in a woman who was all about getting attention. He liked Elizabeth, even though it had been only a few minutes. All it would take was a phone call to learn everything about her.

“So the reason we’re here. I’m a busy man. I’m a lawyer, and I don’t like to do the whole wining and dining crap. I don’t have the time. Women tend to expect something from me. More than I’m willing to give. To get to the basics of why I decided to do this, I want someone to fuck. Where I can phone them, and you’ll come no matter what time of day or night it is. We’ll iron everything out. I’m not into dangerous shit, but I do like spice and excitement. I promise you, you’ll love everything that I do to your body. There will be times that I’ll leave instructions for you, and you will follow them. The way I see this working is like this. I’ll have a place arranged, and that is where I expect you to be when I call you. If I want you to be anywhere else, that is where you’ll be. I’m the one in charge. You won’t be with another man, and before we continue you’ll get a full checkup by my doctor, and I’ll be the one to read your report. You’ll get the same from me. If you agree to this, I expect you to remove your image from the website. You’ll be mine in every single sense of the word.” He also gave her a figure for what he’d be paying her monthly, and her eyes went wide. “Is that not enough?”

“No, no, it’s more than fine. Perfectly fine. Everything you’ve said, I agree to.” She took a deep breath and nodded her head. “You’ve been very blunt. Very honest.”

“You’ll find that I won’t try to romance things up at all. I intend to get what I want, and I don’t wait around for it either.” He glanced down at his watch and saw that he’d spent ten minutes longer than he intended to. “I’ve got to go. I have your cell phone number, and I’ll make arrangements for everything. We’ll talk more after all the checks are through, and until then, stay safe.” He got to his feet and handed her the single rose, kissing her cheek. “Until next time.”

He left without looking back, knowing he’d made the right decision. A younger woman wouldn’t want to be settling down, not a college woman either. Elizabeth was the right pick for him, had the right set of curves. She was also a little on the submissive side as well. He wasn’t a dominant man at all. He didn’t do whips, slavery, or rules with safewords. He was just a man who liked to always be in control no matter what.

Some of the women in his past couldn’t stand to have him control their lives. He wondered how long this would last with Elizabeth. It was new even for him, and he was excited about it. To find out exactly what she liked, what she didn’t. He looked forward to learning what buttons to press, and those to leave.

Pulling out his cell phone, he arranged for two appointments; one for himself and the other for Elizabeth. Next, he got his PI on the phone. Normally he used him for clients to help him get all the details concerning a case. This time, he’d be paying him out of his own money and not through the office. He wanted to know every little detail about Elizabeth Walker, and the sooner the better.

Once he finished, he climbed into his car and took one last look into the coffee shop. Elizabeth had the rose in her hand, and she leaned in, sniffing it. She didn’t smile or show any sign that the rose meant anything to her. In fact, she got up, and walked away, leaving the rose on the table.

He didn’t know if he was happy or pissed off about that.
