Their Spoiled Stepsister (A Twin Brothers MFM Menage Romance #3) by J.L. Beck (1)

Chapter One

Meg

There was nothing more annoying than your own mother assuming you couldn’t care for yourself. “I don’t really need a babysitter, Mom.” I spoke into my iPhone, well balancing my books in one hand as I walked out to my car.  I was in the process of packing my stuff and moving out of the dorms for the summer. My plans were to move home, and enjoy the next three months blogging about books, and reading.

“I’m not saying you do sweetie. I just don’t want you staying at the house alone for a month….” There was a long pause. “Which is why Richard and I have arranged for you to stay with your stepbrothers. You’ll be safer there, and plus it’ll give me the peace of mind to actually enjoy my vacation without having to worry about what’s going on with you here at home.” I unlocked my car, and through my backpack and books into the passenger seat.

“You want me to stay with Evan and Elijah?” My mouth went dry just thinking about it. My stepbrothers weren’t like everyone else’s. They were billionaire twins who looked as if they walked off the cover ofGQ.Not only would my presence cramp their style completely but I doubted they would be okay with it.

“Yes I do. Richard has already spoken, to them and they’re perfectly fine with having you there. They’ve designated a room for you to use, and promised to keep the girls to a minimum while you’re there.” I rolled my eyes at the last part.

If she believed that then she would believe just about anything. “I doubt that, but if it’s going to make you happier than I’ll stay with them.” I sighed. I didn’t want to stay with them but my options were pretty slim.

“Great. I’ll let Richard know. You can come by the house and get whatever you want or need to stay over there. I’ll see you in one month sweetie.” My mouth spoke into the phone before, saying her goodbyes and hanging up.

I sagged against the side of my Jeep, wondering how the hell I was going to make it through the next month with a pair of drool worthy billionaire twin stepbrothers on my ass.

It had been two years since I had last seen them, outside of the normal holidays. They never noticed me, but Ialways, noticed them. Which made it seem odd that they were okay with me staying.

“Why the long face?” Kara my best friend questioned, walking up to me. I shook my head trying to get the sour look off my face.

“Oh, nothing….” I sighed. “My mother is refusing to let me stay at the house by myself for the next month while her and Richard drift off to the Bahamas. Instead I have to stay with my stepbrothers Evan and Elijah.”

Kara’s eyes widened, “Bitch please, you have no reason to complain. Have you seen those fuckers? All that ripped muscle, and those smiles… Fuck me…” The drool was all but pooling in her mouth.

“Shut up.” I slugged her in the arm. It was hard enough to see them as my stepbrothers and not some celebrities that I could lust after.

“No you!” Kara shouted. “You’re being a little whine ass, standing out here pouting about having to sleep in the same house as thePrinceton Twins.  I rolled my eyes at her comment.

Great, she has nicknames for them again.

“I will stop whining if you stop coming up with nicknames for them. They’re my brothers, not frat boys that you can fuck….” Kara smirked.

Stepbrothers. Get it straight. They’re not your brothers by blood, which means it’s perfectly fine to fuck them and move on with your life.” She made it a point to prove that she was right and I was wrong every time Evan and Elijah got brought up, which thankfully wasn’t very often.

“Whatever. I’m not fucking them, and I don’t want to stay with them anymore than I want to put a fork through my eye.” I pushed off the Jeep, and opened the driver’s side door.

Kara smiled, her white teeth reflecting back at me, “Liar. Liar. You’re such a bad liar it’s not even funny….” She teased.

I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from smiling. She knew my secret. The one from two years ago when I first met the Princeton Twins.  There was no hiding the truth from Kara.

“Get in or you’re walking…” I shouted over my shoulder sliding into the drivers seat, and buckling myself in. No matter how much I told myself I didn’t have a tiny crush on them, the feelings I had still lingered and Kara knew just as much as I did, that deep down inside, living with them for the next month was going to be the hardest thing I had ever done.

“So, who are you going to let take your v-card first?” My mouth popped open, and my jaw all but hit the floor as I turned in my seat to face my supposed best friend. I looked at her like she was crazy, more than crazy, absolutely fucking psychotic.

“What? It’s the truth. You won’t last a month in that house with those two hunks lusting after you. I give it a week…” She tapped her chin as if she was pondering my future.

“Kara. I’m going to need you to shut up.” I gripped the steering wheel as I put the car in reverse. Catching the grin that pulled at her lips out of the corner of my eye. I was now a ball of nerves.

“I’m sure it’ll be fine Meg. Your secret is safe with me…” She giggled, and it took everything in me not to slug her from across the car.

***

After dropping Kara off at her parents I headed in the direction of my own home, hoping I could catch my Mom and Richard before they left. My heart fell into my stomach when instead I noticed a silver BMW in the driveway where my own mother’s car should be.

“Fuck!” I muttered under my breath, pulling my Jeep into the spot next to the sleek BMW. I wasn’t sure what cars the twins were driving nowadays but this one was just the kind they would like.

I put the car in park, and pulled the keys from the ignition, before slipping out the door very slowly. My heart was pounding against my ribs as I walked up stone steps and to the front door.

“Hello there, Princess….” The air left my lungs as the door opened, revealing Evan or maybe it was Elijah. I wasn’t sure.

“Don’t call me that.” I blurted out with more effort than I expected. Evan, I presumed, narrowed his chocolate colored eyes at me.

“And why not?” He oozed cockiness that normally I found to be a complete turn off, except for right at this moment.

I licked my lips, “Because I said not too…” I shrugged. The confidence I had right at that moment evaporated as Elijah came around the corner, rolling up one of the sleeves on his white button down.

“Holy fuck!” I heard the words before he could stop them, his eyes roaming up and down my body before coming back up to my face.

“Excuse me?” I lifted an eyebrow knowing all to well that I had just been checked out.

Elijah’s eyes clashed with mine, before a smile formed on his lips. “I’m just surprised how much you’ve grown little Sis…” He sounded happier than he should which made my anxiety climb.

“Well, a couple of years will do that to you…” I brushed past Evan and into the kitchen, hoping they wouldn’t follow me.

“I agree… Don’t you Elijah?” Evan cleared his throat behind me as I walked up to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water out of it. When I turned around I felt their eyes on me. There was this possessiveness that had formed in both of their stares.

The air in the room seemed to grow hot as we stood in silence. My mouth went dry, and I directed my eyes to the floor and away from their perfectly toned bodies. It should be against the law to look as gorgeous as they did.

“Get upstairs and get your shit, Princess.” Elijah ordered. I swallowed around the lump in my throat, and lifted my eyes to his. There was an unsaid warning that lingered in his gaze and strangely I desired to disobey him just to see what him and his brother would do to me.

Instead I mumbled a, whatever, under my breath and hauled ass up the stairs and into my bedroom feeling the heat of their eyes against my skin even after I was out of sight.

“Shit!” I whispered to myself, grabbing a bag from the closet to put all my shit in. Kara was so right. There was no denying the attraction I had for them and this whole month of living with them was only going to make that attraction more fucking noticeable.

“Hurry it up, Princess. That is, unless you want us to come up there and help you pack your stuff…” I could hear the amusement in Elijah’s deep voice.              I was positive that by the end of the month I would be asking myself just which brother it was that was going to claim my virginity.
