Mia’s Wolf (Blackroads Pack Book 1) by Roxanne Greening, R. Greening (7)

Chapter 10

Mia

Strong hard arms were pulling me up against an equally hard body. One minute I was sucking down large amounts of foul wolf breath, the next I was in the arms of some stranger with was that a hard-on?

“Get the fuck off me, you dildo!” I shouted again.

Who the fuck gets a hard-on when rescuing someone from a feral wolf? Shit, where is the wolf?

“Thanks, buddy, but we really need to get going. So, tell Mr. Overly Friendly to calm his shit down so we can get the fuck out of here,” I tell him hysterically.

That’s right, hysteria has set in, and now I was one step, or was that a crawl, away from pure insanity?

Then I felt it. The man’s nose was pressed against the nape of my neck.

“Hey dickweed, this isn’t scratch and sniff, so back the fuck off!” I snarled.

His body started shaking as if he was holding in his laughter. Then my fear and hysteria that I had been feeling turned into full-blown anger.

Pushing against his hold I tried to pry myself free, but his impossibly strong arms tighten to an almost painful hold. I grunted as those steel bands held me close.

“Mate,” he growled, yes growled in my ear.

My cape started to lower showing a portion of my dark hair. I tried to grab the man’s sides, but it was like grabbing silk over rock. He was that firm, and he was that naked.

My cheeks heated as I realized the man was completely nude. Like not a stitch of clothing could be found, or should I say felt.

“What are you a nudist?” I asked him.

He grunted as my elbow connected with his solid abs.

“Hey, no judgment here. It’s a judgment-free zone,” I told the naked guy being completely seriously.

I mean the man just saved my life. I think I owed a small concession.

“Did you just use the slogan for a fitness gym?” he asked, his voice filled with humor.

“It is a good slogan and deemed to fit perfectly in this situation,” I tell him honestly.

The man saved me from a wolf. Not just a wolf, it was a feral, hungry wolf and this guy is as naked as a jailbird airing dry after a particularly messy escape.

And this must be the craziest, most stressful night I’ve ever had. Or this was the weirdest dream in the history of dreams.

“Stay still,” he growled. The sound went straight to my vagina. Fickle bitch.

Oh, so yummy, that voice whispered maybe we’ll get us some bow chica wow wow.

For fuck sakes, you horny bitch, I snarled at it. This isn’t the time or place for that kind of behavior.

This was all too much, and I wasn’t sure what happened. My mind was clamoring to connect the dots, and everything was starting to spin. Nausea bubbled like lava ready to erupt.

The world was nosediving, and the man who was both growling and laughing at me was naked. I seem to be stuck on that small or should I say big detail.

My body was becoming heavy, my legs weak, my limbs lethargic, and my lungs worked harder as the darkness edged my vision.

I wasn’t sure how much longer I would last before I was once again at the mercy of this dark night, this forest and now this naked rock of a man.

“Mate?” His voice was filled with concern.

I wanted to call him more names and put the fear of god into his unmentionables. But the words wouldn’t form, and my lips wouldn’t move.

As I fought to calm my breathing, my body became cold and heavier as if I was sinking like a stone in a cold flowing river.

Another deep, harsh chest constricting breath and lights out.
