Werebear Mountain - Bowie (Book Three) by A. B Lee, M. L Briers (18)

Bowie hadn’t come out of his fight with Colt unscathed. He had more than his fair share of cuts, bruises, and lacerations.

It was nothing that he wasn’t used to. His blood would heal him, that was a given, but for Bowie it couldn’t heal him soon enough.

They’d had to take Colt at his word that he would come back with the money. Bowie didn’t like those odds.

What he did like was the fact that as he walked up toward Mitzi’s cabin, she handed Joshua over to Maggie who was standing beside her, and had run hard and fast right into his arms.

His injuries didn’t hurt one damn bit, or if they did, well, he just didn’t notice.

He also liked the fact that Maggie had offered to take Joshua for the night, and it wasn’t that he didn’t want the cub around, but as long as his mate was still okay with having him as her mate, then he intended to claim her as soon as possible.

“I didn’t die,” Bowie teased her. But instead of her being mad at him, she pushed up onto tiptoes and pressed her lips against his.

Bowie was more than aware that he was naked. He was also damn aware that his hard cock was pressed up against her stomach, and they had an audience.

Bowie scooped her up in his strong arms and started towards his cabin, their cabin. He was planning on claiming her and he didn’t think that should be a spectator sport.

“Don’t worry Roland’s got Joshua,” Maggie called after Mitzi with a chuckle.

“I do?” Roland said, and Maggie delivered the little bundle of cuteness into his big, strong arms.

“You do now,” Maggie said, grinning at the big shifter with the goofey look on his face as he looked down at the baby. “I’m told practice makes perfect, just don’t drop him.” She frowned.

“I wouldn’t drop my nephew,” Roland grumbled back.

“Let’s hope Bowie’s got the goods to back up that swagger,” Rayner chuckled, and watched as the big man hesitated in his stride.

“Bowie’s right, you do have an evil streak,” Dane leaned in and whispered.

“You bet I do, and if Colt doesn’t come back with that money, I’m gonna hunt him down and feed him his balls on a platter,” Rayner said, turning away from the group and starting off for her cabin.

Bowie stalked clean through the living room and into his bedroom where he placed his mate down on the bed and regretted the fact that he needed to leave her for a few minutes.

“Hey!” Mitzi said, somewhat dazed and confused.

One moment she was enjoying the steaming hot kisses of her mate and thinking three steps ahead to having that hard length of his inside of her, and the next he was backing away looking like he’d committed a murder and was torn about what to do next.

“Gotta go…”

“Oh the hell you have!” Mitzi said, pushing up to her elbows and glaring at him like she wanted to rip of his arms and beat him to death. “If you take one step outside that front door I will hunt you down with my damn bear and kill you where you stand.” She growled.

Bowie stood there frowning back at her for a long moment, mute for words because she’d really surprised the hell out of him.

“Don’t you just stand there like a shop window dummy, say something you…”

“I was going for a shower,” Bowie said, hooking a thumb over his shoulder and letting a slow grin start to boil on his lips.

“Oh,” Mitzi said, and she really wanted the ground to open up and swallow her whole, but as that wasn’t likely to happen any time soon, she yanked a pillow from behind her and buried her face in it.

“But, I like your passion,” Bowie chuckled and she groaned into the soft cloud of the pillow’s stuffing. “Wanna start over?”

“Yep,” Mitzi said, not lifting her face.

“I’m just gonna go get washed up…” Bowie said.

“Sounds good, I’ll just kill myself,” Mitzi chuckled with embarrassment.

“Don’t do that, sweetheart. When I get back, we’re gonna get good and dirty again, then I can be all possessive when you try to go get a shower,” he teased.

“I’m never living this down, am I?” she groaned.

“Sure, fifty or sixty years and we’ll forget this even happened…”

“Go for your shower,” Mitzi chuckled.

“You sure? I don’t want you to think I’m abandoning you or…”

She growled and Bowie sniggered as he backed out the doorway. It was gonna be the fastest damn shower that he’d ever taken.

Bowie was scrubbing his body like a deranged man intent on getting the job done and getting back to his mate so that he could love her good. His cock was harder than steel and he ached to be inside of her.

He’d even considered doing himself a damn quick favour and alleviating that ache, but he didn’t want to waste time and energy on that.

Bowie was thinking about all the ways that he was going to love his mate in every way possible, when Mitzi’s hands stroked down his back and he jumped like a bear shaken from his revelry by a rattlesnake. He cracked his forehead on the showerhead and growled like an idiot.

“If you’d rather I wasn’t here,” she giggled, but Bowie was already turning in place and reaching out for her.

“I was distracted,” Bowie growled, bringing her into his arms, up against his hard body, and backing her against the tiled wall.

“Pleasing yourself?” Mitzi teased, biting out another round of giggles.

“No,” Bowie screwed up his face.

“Cos, I can give you a minute with yourself if you like?”

A low rumble of a growl went through his chest and echoed inside the large glass box of the shower cubicle.

“I think I’m good,” he grumbled.

“Sure?” Mitzi didn’t get another word out because his lips came down to claim hers and she was more than done teasing the man.

A heartbeat later and his kisses were hot and demanding, and they were right back to where they were before his shower, only this time, she was naked and wrapped around his body like a vine.

Bowie felt the heat of her sex along his length and growled with the need to be inside of her. His satin cock was rubbing against her hot flesh as she moved her hips against his and driving him back towards damn insanity, but this time it was from need.

Mine…

This time, his crazy was different and in a good way, and it was all for her, because of her, and damn, but he liked it. His hands explored her curves and he loved the sound that she was making in the back of her throat, wanted to hear more of it.

When he released her lips and worked his way over to her shoulder, he had the urge to bury his cock inside of her and race for home, but she was his mate, and he wanted to give her more than that.

“I’m gonna take you to bed and…” Bowie started, but she clawed down his back with her fingernails and sent his beast wild.

Mine…

“I need you inside me now,” she growled, boy did she?

Her beast was up front and centre and he guessed that he’d waited to damn long to claim her as his for either of their wild sides not to show through.

Bowie grunted. He wanted to love her slow and right, but she was turning into a wild thing within his arms.

He couldn’t have tamed her if he’d tried, and damn it to hell, but he didn’t have the strength of willpower left within him to try.
