Always and Forever by J.A. Collard (2)

She’s mine, all fucking mine.

Staring down from the marquee at Jasmine as she takes her first steps toward me, I feel all the air in my lungs vanish. She’s breathtaking. Tears prick my eyes when my gaze travels over her, I can’t believe this beautiful woman is marrying me. She takes more steps as the song begins to play, and I’m not afraid to admit I feel like I’m going to fucking choke on my emotions—even with all my boys around.

I look to my left and see Hawke’s face light up when he sees Jasmine, and he grins at me. I look back at my soon-to-be wife, and her eyes lock on mine, shining with tears that roll down her beautiful face. I’ve never seen anyone, or anything, more beautiful than how Jasmine looks today. Her golden shoulders are on display, her dress sitting off them. Her dress hugs her breasts and waist, showing off her six-month baby bump. It has me going all caveman on her. The bigger she gets, the more protective I feel. Her breasts are bigger and fuller, and she’s glowing. I know all too well how her skin tastes and smells, just like peaches and vanilla—a scent I’ve grown to crave so much.

Fisting my hands beside me, it takes everything in my power to hold myself back from walking down the rose-petal-strewn aisle, taking her in my arms, and smashing her lips to mine. I know what they’d feel like too; soft, sweet, and full. Those lips could bring a man to his knees. She was a fucking sight. As she moves closer I make a promise to myself: to worship the fucking ground she walks on, because to think that this woman was marrying me, when I know she could have her choice of any man, has me dizzy with happiness.

I see her caress her stomach with her hand, and a protective feeling washes over me. The more time passes, the more I want to keep her pregnant. Jasmine at home, barefoot and all, does things to me. I’ve never been an old-fashioned guy, heck, I never wanted to settle down, let alone have kids, but Jasmine has changed all that. I want a house full of kids with her. A son who’s strong like me, and a daughter who’s beautiful like her mom. I just want at least two of each. Growing up as an only child means I missed what other families had. I know Jasmine feels the same way, so my plan is to keep her knocked up, until we have our own family.

Fuck, just thinking about making babies has my cock twitching against my dress pants—fancy-ass pants that I’m wearing just for her. The boys all had a laugh when they saw me walk toward the marquee in this suit. But I don’t give a fuck; if it makes Jasmine happy, then I’m happy. There’s nothing I wouldn’t give her, but right now, with my pants tightening around my groin, it has me wishing I didn’t give in to this wardrobe choice.

I make my way down the marquee, unable to keep my distance any longer. It’s sheer torment watching her and her old man walk toward me at the pace they are. As they near me, my mouth lifts into a warm smile as Jasmine wipes away tears. I fucking hate her crying, but I know these tears are from happiness. I inhale deeply, trying to stop my own emotions from spilling over, and then her father leans in and kisses her cheek, then turns to me. “Take care of my baby girl,” he says, his tone demanding. I get it, I’ll probably be the same with my daughter one day. I nod my head in response but don’t take my eyes off Jasmine.

Now that I’m closer to her, I can see a little makeup on her face; black liner outlining her gorgeous eyes, her lips shiny with some gloss, and I want to lean in and kiss them. So fucking tempting. I wrap my hand in hers and lead her up to the marquee where the celebrant is waiting. Unable to hold back any longer, I lean in and kiss her mouth. When she gasps from the sudden kiss, I let my tongue seek out hers. A soft moan escapes her, running down my throat, and I cup her face in my palms, not wanting to end it anytime soon, but know I have to if I want to marry her today.

Whistles and clapping surround the garden, and Jasmine laughs against my lips. We pull back from one another and I whisper, “You look beautiful, baby, and you’re mine.”

“Yours,” she replies, and that one word has me leaning in and kissing her again, wanting to feel the memory of it on her lips. Peaches and vanilla reach my senses, and again I want to devour her mouth, but I’m suddenly interrupted when I hear “Ahem.”

We pull back once again and look over at the celebrant, who’s been all but forgotten. Jasmine smiles shyly at me and I sneak my tongue out, licking my lips and savouring her taste on my tongue. Jasmine’s eyes focus on my action and I smile, knowing I’ve had some effect on her. Since she’s been pregnant, Jasmine’s been crazy horny. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, but I’m sure if I trailed my fingers along her folds right now she’d be soaked.

“You look good enough to eat,” I mumble, biting on my lower lip, and she laughs. God, I love her laugh.

“Quill, we’re getting married here,” she whispers nervously, looking over at the celebrant.

“Don’t care, baby, I can’t wait to get you out of that dress.”

“Um, can we begin?” the celebrant asks.

I look over and reply, “Sure, let’s get this over with so I can have this woman to myself.”

“Quill!” Jasmine gasps out.

I shrug my shoulders. “What?”

Jasmine moves in closer and says in a low tone, “Everyone can hear you.” Her cheeks are flushed with her embarrassment.

I smile down at her. “You’re so cute when you blush.”

I look over at the celebrant once again. “Let’s begin.”

I see Jasmine and Hawke exchange smiles, and he winks at her. I glare at him and he laughs it off. I know I’m overreacting but her smiles belong to me. Luisa steps in and takes Jasmine’s bouquet out of her hands, and I reach over and take them in mine, running my thumbs over her slender fingers. I’m so in love with this woman I feel like my heart’s going to explode.

The celebrant begins.

“We are gathered together on this beautiful afternoon to share this time with Quillentine and Jasmine, as they exchange vows of their everlasting love for each other. Who gives this woman to be married to this man?”

I look over at Jasmine’s old man, Jackson. He yells out, “I do!” Jasmine looks over at him and smiles, then her eyes lock back on mine. I squeeze her hands, letting her know I’ve got her.

“As Quillentine and Jasmine take their vows today, we are privileged to witness the joyous love of a new family—a family that will be nourished and nurtured through the devotion of two separate individuals growing together through the common bonds of love.”

I inhale, thinking of the baby lying between Jasmine and I, and wonder what it will look like. Jasmine wanted to find out the sex at her last scan but I didn’t want to know, so we decided it would be a surprise for both of us. My thoughts are interrupted when the celebrant says, “Quill, would you like to begin?”

I nod my head but my eyes stay on Jasmine. I swallow hard knowing what’s about to come out of my mouth. I’d thought about my vows a lot, what I wanted to say, yet right now I don’t need them. I’m just gonna tell her how I’m feeling.

“Jasmine… you came into my life when I wasn’t expecting you. You made me feel something I wasn’t used to, and I needed to know what that was. Call it fate, but you were brought back into my life that night. I knew there and then you were different—the ache I felt in my chest every time I would set my sights on you had me wanting to be near you all the time. When I was away from you, I craved you. I needed you beside me.”

I smile and take another breath, noticing tears pool in Jasmines eyes. “You are the air that I breathe, the reason I wanted a future. A future I thought never existed. You taught me to love, and to put someone else first. You taught me that life is always better when you have the one you love beside you. And now….” Fuck. I let the emotions take over me and my eyes blur with my tears as I look down at our unborn child, nestled inside my beautiful Jasmine. “Now you are giving me a family—a family that I will protect with everything I have in me.” My voice breaks and I look away and curse. “Fuck!” Jasmine leans in closer and runs her fingers down my cheek, giving me a warm smile, encouraging me to continue. “You have made me the happiest man alive. I love you so damn much, and our unborn child, and I promise to love you and our baby with all I have. I promise you will always feel loved, till the day I die. I love you, Jasmine. Always and forever.”

Jasmine smiles as tears appear in her eyes once again; I lean in and cup her cheek, wiping them away with my thumbs. “I love you, baby,” I whisper, leaning in and kissing her.

I finally pull away and turn to Hawke, opening my palm and gesturing for the ring. Hawke just raises his eyebrows and whispers, “What?”

“The ring, man, give me Jasmine’s ring.” I move closer to him, elbowing him in the ribs. Hawke laughs and finally grabs the velvet-covered black box out of his breast pocket, handing it to me. I open the box and hand it back to Hawke, Jasmine’s ring now in my hand. It’s a white-gold piece, diamonds encrusting its surface.

I place it on Jasmine’s wedding finger at her knuckle. “I, Quellentine Owen, take you, Jasmine Marques, to have and to hold from this day forward.” Jasmine’s hand trembles in mine as I place the ring on her finger gently. She looks up at me smiling, and I can’t help but smile back.

“Jasmine?” the celebrant says, looking at her. “Are you ready?”

She nods and takes my hands in hers. I squeeze them, giving her the strength to go on.

She takes a deep breath and bites on that luscious bottom lip, and I notice its quivering. My baby’s a little emotional too.
