Best Friend Hot Roommate by Brooks, Summer (4)

4

Bradley

We'd barely been at the John F. Kennedy International Airport for five minutes and Tanya's patience had started to run out already.

She leaned into me and bit my ear. She was sitting with her legs crossed and I only saw lust in her eyes when I looked at her.

"I don't think I can wait until we get to our hotel room in Spain," she whispered, grazing her teeth against my skin.

I snapped my laptop shut and ran my fingers through her short blonde hair that kind of reminded of Heather.

She's just a friend, I reminded myself for the millionth time.

I needed to get Heather out of my head. It was something that I struggled to do after every time I spent time with her. It was crazy how the woman wasn't even aware of how gorgeous she was.

Even the nerdy glasses that she wore every now and then made my cock twitch in my pants.

I took a deep breath as that thought crept into me. "Follow me," I told Tanya.

She pounced at me like a cat as soon as I locked us into the men's washroom in the lounge.

"Oh, Brad," she moaned into my ear, biting it once more. "Thanks for taking me with you. I’m going to make it worth your while."

"You’d better." I smirked, pushing her shoulders down.

Her eyes stayed glued to mine as she unbuttoned my pants with a smile.

"You're ready?" she asked in her husky voice.

I raised an eyebrow. "Ya think?"

She grinned and slid my cock out of my boxers and started to kiss it.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I–I . . ." She was stammering but finally got herself to finish the sentence. "I'm sucking your cock."

I shook my head. "No, you're kissing it."

Her face dropped.

"Open your mouth wide."

She did and swirled her tongue around the head before taking it all in.

I held her head and groaned with my eyes closed.

Her lips were wrapped tightly around my cock when she cupped my balls. She moaned and grinned at the same time, pushing me on the verge of coming into her mouth.

"Keep going." I opened my eyes. “We’re not nearly done yet.”

She pressed her mouth to my cock harder than before and darted her eyes at me.

I threw my head against the wall and mumbled, "Heather."

Well, shit.

My cock was bare in an instant and Tanya stood up.

"What did you say?"

"That we're not nearly done yet?"

She narrowed her eyes at me and crossed her arms.

“No. After that."

I could see red in her eyes and assumed that she'd seen the hint of guilt in mine.

"Heather," she hissed. "That's what you fucking said."

"Did I?" I chuckled.

I was only playing with her now, curious to know what she'd do next.

She stepped away and grimaced, then bent over to pick up her handbag and slid it across her shoulder.

"I think you should just take Heather to Spain with you," she said with tight lips.

Oh, how I wish, I thought.

Tanya stormed out of the bathroom a few seconds after my really unnecessary fuck-up.

I pulled my pants up, feeling the pressure of my release subside.

Oh, well, it could wait. But what couldn't was the intervention that I needed to have with myself.

I felt disgusted, and frankly, even surprised.

No amount of self-talk had enabled me to stop fantasizing about my best friend. I was sick of trying to push the dirty thoughts out of my head.

I couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same way about me. Though, she'd never given me a hint of it so far. It didn't matter. None of it did. Because at the end of the day, I didn’t want to be in a relationship, and that’s what sex would turn into with Heather.

She was a wonderful woman and so hot that she'd dominated many of my sex dreams. I was okay with all of that, but now she'd even started to creep into my daydreams.

I pulled my phone out as I exited the bathroom. A few people stared at me when I did. I assumed it was because Tanya had been anything but subtle when she stormed out and slammed the door behind her.

I ignored the judgmental stares and shot Heather a text, asking her about what she was up to.

I drove to Dumbo, Brooklyn as soon as I received a response from Heather. I'd never felt as indecisive in my life as I had over the past two days. Normally, I would have Kimberly ask one of my housekeepers to pack my things and I would leave at once. But something in me had wanted to be with Heather after I met her yesterday. I didn't want to let her be by herself, though I’d already done what I could as her friend.

I pulled over in front of a residential building that didn't look much different from the one she already lived in with Rachel. I removed my sunglasses and barged through the creaking doors before giving her a call.

"I'm here," I said when she answered on the second ring.

"Here where?" she asked, baffled. "In Dumbo? Are you serious?"

"In Dumbo and in the same building as you. Which apartment number did you say?"

"It's 108," she said, then paused. "You know you really didn't have to—“

I found the unit number before she could finish her sentence. I walked into the living room area after I entered through the open door.

"Brad." Rachel smiled. "Good to see you. Been a while."

I tightened my lips.

Not for me is what I wanted to say because I'd seen her naked butt passed out less than a day ago.

"It has been," I said, moving my attention to the seemingly annoyed Heather who hadn't said a word. She simply turned to the real estate agent who'd been scanning me up and down for the last thirty seconds.

"When did you say we can move in?" she asked him, swinging from side to side with Max in her arms.

"Heather," I said, stepping closer to her. "You can't be serious."

I moved my head around to explore the studio apartment. It was all wooden, which is always how I preferred it, but damn, I sure as hell would've liked to see those dirty floors covered with carpet instead.

"Can I speak with you privately?" I asked her.

She shook her head and ignored me completely, waiting for an answer from the silver-mustached guy in front of her.

"You can move in as soon as you've signed the lease."

I rubbed my temples and Rachel shrugged at me.

"I don't like the place either," she leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"So why let her move in here?" I whispered back.

She twisted her lips to the side. "You know her. Once she decides on something, it's almost impossible to—"

Heather looked at us both. "I've got ears, you guys."

Rachel chuckled. "Well, then, we're not kidding. You're being a pain in the butt here."

I laughed.

Rachel and Heather may not make the best roommates, but they were perfect friends for each other, and Rachel was good at giving her a dose of reality every now and then.

"Please lead me to the management office," Heather said, facing the man.

I wrapped my hand around her arm and pulled her out the door.

"What are you doing, Brad?" she squealed.

"What do I look like I'm doing?" I snapped. "You're ignoring me like I'm not even there."

Flaring her nostrils, she looked away. "Yeah, well, you're not the best person to reach out to for advice when it comes to housing."

I narrowed my eyes at her.

"What?" she snapped. "I get it. You hate the place. How could you not? Not all of us can afford to live in mansions now, can we?"

I sighed. "Living in mansions, right . . ." I mumbled. "That's not fair. I've got my own set of problems to deal with even if I don't have money to worry about."

She let out an exaggerated sigh and laid Max over her shoulder.

"Your tickets to Spain that you probably ended up throwing in the trash could have paid for my two months’ rent."

"So you think I'm an irresponsible piece of shit who takes everything for granted," I snapped. "Is that it?"

She shrugged. "Well, yeah. That and you're also inconsiderate. It's not easy to find a new place in New York. Even in Brooklyn. You would know if you ever tried looking yourself. So now, if you'll excuse me."

I held her wrist before she could turn around.

"I'm sorry," I said. "Sure. You have way bigger things to worry about. I get that. But let me help you out."

Darting her eyes to the floor, she sniffed again. "Help how?"

"I'll ask Kimberly to look for a place for you. Negotiate the price as best she can. She's good at that kind of stuff."

I'd already removed my phone from my pocket and was about to call my assistant when Heather placed her hand over it.

"As if the poor woman doesn't have a million other things to do," she said, pushing my arm back down. "Please. I can't bother you or her with any of my shit.”

Pride. It's good to have some, but it only hampers your life when you let it get in the way of every crucial decision.

"Stop being so stubborn, Heather. You know that you're never a bother to me."

I looked to my right and noticed an old man stumbling across the hallway.

"I can't let you live here. And if you keep insisting, then . . ."

I paused to think of something to say that would effectively guilt her.

"Please," she said. "Save it. I don't give into guilt-tripping."

I groaned. "Can you stop going all psychologist on me? I hate it when you do that."

She smiled and I did too when I saw it spreading across her face.

Her cheeks became rosy and there was a hint of a glimmer in her eyes.

“Fine. Sure. I’ll be grateful if you asked Kimberly to help me out, and please let her know how much I appreciate it."

I nodded, noticing that she looked even more distressed than she was before she accepted my help.

"I really don't want to live with Rachel, though," she lowered her voice and admitted. "I love her and everything, but the woman is driving me absolutely crazy."

I bit my lower lip and leaned against the wall. I did have a temporary solution to her problem, but I knew she wouldn't even consider it.

"Maybe you can move in with me in the meantime?" I said, and her face fell.

"You can't be serious. I mean, don't get me wrong, but wouldn't that be weird for you? For us?”

I shrugged. "You know how much I work, right? I'm barely even home."

"Even if you are," she said, "we might not even bump into each other, given the number of bedrooms you have."

I chuckled. "Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but no, it won't be weird, and it definitely won't be a problem."

She pondered over it for a second and I was positive that she would say yes. I had my fingers crossed, but all she gave me was, “I really don’t think that’s the way to go.”
