Katie nodded and followed Chad into the bedroom, then straight into the bathroom. Lights were turned off, the glow of candlelight illuminating the room. She had never trusted another man other than her brothers. Yet, here she stood, trusting Chad completely.
“I thought you could use a nice soak.”
“That sounds great.” The thud of her heart beat in her ears. Arrogance rolled off him in waves, and yet he had drawn a bath for her to relax. Maybe she had been wrong about him.
“Raise your arms,” Chad said as he moved closer.
“Are you out of your living mind?” Just when Katie thought she might have been wrong about Chad, here he was ordering her around again. She could get herself ready for the bath. All she needed was for him to leave the room.
