Brotherhood Protectors: Montana Gypsy (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Guardians of Hope Book 3) by KD Michaels (6)

6

Hank, Jerry, Sadie, and Gypsy pulled up onto the airport private tarmac two hours later after Ice had messaged back they were on a private flight into Bozeman. Hank and Jerry watched as several women dressed in black tactical gear stepped off the private plane one at a time. Gypsy ran over to the plane smiling and hugging each woman.

Gypsy led the women over to Hank and their small group. She was surrounded by Alpha Squad in protection mode. When they got to Hank, Jerry, and Sadie, Gypsy moved to the front to make the introductions.

Gypsy pointed her hand toward Sadie, “Guys, this is my good friend, the woman who took a risk on a nobody like me, Sadie Patterson.”

“Gypsy Danger, you are not a nobody. Stop that shit,” Laura ‘Red’ Pratt said with a growl in her voice.

“Thank you! I hate it when she says that.” Sadie smiled at Laura, as they shook hands. “This is my husband Hank, and this is Jerry,” Sadie said introducing the men.

Gypsy took over the rest of the introductions. “This is Alpha Squad. The team I told you about.” Gypsy turned so she could nod at each person. “This is Sgt. Helen Brocard. She is this crazy team’s leader.” Sgt. Brocard shook hands with Hank, Jerry, and Sadie.

“Thank you for keeping our girl safe. I know this must be unusual for you, but she’s one of ours, and we always protect our family,” Sgt. Brocard said staring Hank and Jerry in the eyes showing she meant business.

“She’s family to us, too, Sgt. No thanks needed,” Hank said nodding his head at her.

“Moving on then,” Gypsy said. “This is Detectives Cheryl Diesel, Alexis Rameriez, Renee York, Lindsey ‘Ice’ Raso, Laura ‘Red’ Pratt, and Tarilyn ‘Taz’ Cortez.” Gypsy nodded to each woman as she introduced them.

“Okay, so now that we have that out of the way and we’re not standing here with wedgies in our panties, I’ll ask the big question. Mr. Hank and the other dude whose eyes I will stab if I you don’t stop looking at our girl like a slab of steak, what background do you have that says you’re qualified to protect Gypsy Danger?” Diesel asked without a care in the world who it pissed off.

“Gentlemen, please excuse Diesel, her doctor diagnosed her with lack of nookie disease so she acts stupid every now and then. She’s a damn good cop, just brain dead on common sense half the time,” Taz stated as she smacked Diesel on the back of the head.

“Not a problem. But to answer the question I’m sure the rest of you had, Jerry and I are both retired Navy SEALs,” Hank started.

“Son of a bitch! Red fucks one damn SEAL and everywhere we turn more damn squids show up. Fucking great,” Diesel complained.

“Umm you retard, she didn’t just fuck him, she’s engaged to him so shut up. You’re just pissed his brother laughed when you offered to be the jelly to his peanut the next time he visited. Hell, even we cracked up at that shit,” Ice said laughing.

“Holy shit, Red, you’re engaged? To a SEAL?” Gypsy squealed.

“Damn you, Diesel,” Laura mumbled. “Yes, Gyps. I fell for a real life Navy SEAL. He’s a great guy,” Laura said with a dreamy smile.

“Oh my God, I’m so happy for you,” Gypsy said excitedly, hugging Laura and giggling.

“Damn squidward asshole,” Ice mumbled, which only had Laura laughing harder.

“You’re engaged to an active duty SEAL? Does he know you’re here putting yourself in harm’s way?” Jerry asked worried.

“Yes Dad, he knows I’m coming to Montana, and he gave me permission to skip curfew. While the alpha in the man may not like it, he doesn’t tell me how to do my job. He trusts me to do my job just like I trust him to do his job and make it back home safe and sound to each other. Any other questions gentlemen?” Laura said with a little bite in her tone.

“Who’s the fiancé, if I may ask?” Hank asked hesitantly.

“Lt. Joseph MacLeod,” Laura replied.

“Holy shit, you’re getting married to Highlander? He finally dumped that tramp he was seeing? About damn time he got rid of that leech,” Jerry said happily.

“Tramp is putting it mildly. That bitch now belongs to Helga in prison,” Diesel mumbled a little too loud with a sinister smile.

Hank and Jerry looked at each other with amused looks. “Sorry ma’am. We both served with MacLeod at one time or another. If it’s okay with you, I’d like to inform him you’ll be with me, SEAL code and all. Jerry and I both may be retired SEALs, but I started a security business that employs Special Forces members when they get out. I have two others keeping watch at the homestead while we are gone. We brought two SUVs here for you ladies. We have set it up for your team to stay at the house with us since Gypsy is there and already settled in,” Hank advised the women of Alpha Squad.

Laura pulled out her phone and dialed Joe’s cell phone. “Hey lass, ye miss me already?”

“Always, hotshot. We landed in Bozeman. Diesel’s big mouth let it slip that I’m with you. Apparently the two men who have been guarding Gypsy until we got here are retired SEALs,” Laura informed her fiancé.

“Who are they, love?” Joe asked in a serious yet gentle tone.

“Hold on, let me put it on speaker phone. Okay you’re on speaker. Gentlemen, if you can ID yourselves,” Laura requested.

“Hey Highlander, it’s Elmo, Jerry Davidson,” Jerry said. “How are you doing, old man?”

Joe laughed, “Hey ye arse. It’s all good here. Nae the same without ye here. This old man can still kick ye arse, too.”

“Hi, Lt. MacLeod. It’s Hank Patterson. Good to hear your voice.”

“Hank, ye are there with my lass, too?” Joe asked.

“Yes, sir. Congrats on your engagement. Feels great, doesn’t it?” Hank asked with a smile on his face as he looked over at Sadie.

“Aye, it does. I’m trusting ye and the Brotherhood with my life, Hank. She’s my everything. She’s hard headed as hell, but damn good at her job. All of Alpha Squad is damn good at their job.”

“You got it, Lt. We will be working with them closely. By the way, you ever want to leave the teams, I’ve got a spot with your name on it,” Hank added.

“Aye Hank, I’ll keep it in mind. Lass, ye be careful out there. I love ye and miss ye fierce.”

“Gross squishy, stop that puke shit,” Raso quipped.

“Ah there’s my favorite twinkle tits. Hello Ice. Mike says to give him a call. He can’t get ye luscious arse off his mind,” Joe said humorously.

“Fuck you, asshole,” Raso bit out as Joe and Laura busted out laughing.

“Wait, Ice has someone sweet on her?” Gypsy asked wide-eyed and excited for her friend.

“Yeah, but she denies her feelings for him. Afraid his Scottish fire will melt her ice-cold heart,” Laura joked.

“Again, fuck you Red. Good-bye, Lt. We’ve ID’d the men, all’s good now so you can go jerk off to your teammates asses as they bend over for the next several days while Red is away,” Raso said quickly as she reached for Laura’s phone to disconnect the call.

“Rude much?” Laura asked putting the phone away.

After discussing their plans for heading back to Eagle Rock, while Alpha Squad transferred their bags and equipment to the SUVs that Hank had procured for them, Sgt. Brocard spoke with Hank and Jerry on options for patrol and other necessities they may need.

After everyone grabbed a quick bite to eat, the large group loaded up and headed on to Eagle Rock. It was agreed that Hank would notify the local sheriff that they were in town and that Sgt. Brocard would handle any questions or concerns with the department on their presence.
