Damian by Cox, Desiree A., Michaels, A.K. (21)

He felt her hand stroke softly along his hairline, then her fingertips glided down his face from his temple, over his cheek, and down his stubbled chin. He could feel her nails tickling across his lips. Damian moaned as her soft lips touched his. His hard cock was begging to be freed.

When Damian opened his eyes, his mate was staring at him. He inhaled deeply and could feel the warmth flush his face with embarrassment that he’d moaned and woke up with a raging hard-on. His dream had felt so real. Her touch was everything he’d yearned for. Nothing in reality compared to what he’d felt while dreaming.

“Hi, sleepy-head. Are you hungry?” Angel asked.

“I’m starving,” Damian said in a raspy voice.

“I am, too. Want to go hunt? I haven’t been hunting in a while.”

Damian sat up fully on the bed, leaning back against the headboard. “Are you sure you feel up to shifting and hunting? We don’t have to. There’s food in the refrigerator.”

Angel ran her fingers through her long blond mane and pulled her tresses over one shoulder where she twisted and stroked the handful of hair. “I want to hunt with you, my Alpha love. We can save what’s in the refrigerator for later.”

Damian looked at the clock sitting on the nightstand. It was four-thirty. Not too late. The last thing he wanted was to get into the woods too late on a good hunt and have his mate not feel well.

He glanced at Angel, who was staring at him through her lashes, continuing to twist at her hair. She poked out her lower lip and pouted.

“You’re sure you feel up to this?”

“I do. And I’m starving. “

“Okay. Let’s go now, then. If Trinity hollers at me for this…”

“It’s my idea. I’m fine. And I’ll tell her that, if she asks. I really doubt she’d want me to go hungry. She’s made sure I was nourished while I was Wolf, and she was so excited when I shifted. I have to keep getting my protein to keep up my strength.”

Damian turned his head, trying to hide his smile as he thought back to the conversation he’d had with Maverick. Damn Maverick and his filthy mind, he thought.

“What are you laughing at?” Angel asked.

“It’s nothing,” Damian chuckled.

“Something has you laughing. I thought we weren’t keeping secrets.” She crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Damian.

“I’m not so sure you want to know, honestly. If I tell you, you have to promise not to get upset.”

“Okay. I promise.”

Damian told Angel about his conversation with Maverick. She shook her head, but she didn’t look like she completely understood the hidden meaning in Damian’s comments. After she’d said she didn’t get it, he explained it further, making sure to completely spell out exactly why Maverick had been laughing.

Her cheeks reddened and she began fidgeting. “That’s very personal. Why would he think that’s something he should laugh at, or even think about?”

“Maverick has been my friend for years. I’m sure he meant nothing by it except to laugh at what he interpreted as a play on words. I guarantee you, I wouldn’t tolerate any such talk or jokes. What happens between us will always remain between us.” Damian wanted to assure her there was absolutely no way he’d tolerate anyone speaking waggishly about the sex life of him and his mate. He also thought Angel may have been over reacting just a bit. Maverick was merely innocently laughing at the word play, something he’d done many times in the past. He hoped she’d be satisfied with his answer. He wanted to change the subject, and quickly.

“Good. I trust you. Now, we need to hunt. I’m starving,” Angel said with a smile.

A couple hours later, when the two returned and shifted back to their human forms, they quickly made their way into their temporary residence.

“That was so much fun!” Angel said. She smiled with a toothy grin. She flopped lazily into the cloth-covered chair in a corner.

“It was. And I’m stuffed.” Damian rubbed his hand over his protruding six-pack.

Angel giggled then rubbed her belly. “Me, too. I can’t remember the last time I ate so much. I’m going to end up getting huge.”

Damian’s smile widened and his cock twitched. He wanted to see her tummy expand as his seed grew inside her. The thoughts began filtering into his mind while they were hunting. He’d imagined them out hunting to make sure their son was getting fed properly so he could grow into a superior specimen of an Alpha, like his father.

“I’m going to take a shower,” Damian said. He disappeared into the bathroom, pushing the door closed behind him, but not completely shutting it.

Angel sat in the chair with a smile on her face, and thought about how much fun it was for their Wolves to frolic and hunt together. The playfulness. The sexy way Damian’s Wolf looked at her like he wanted to eat her up. How her Wolf was secretly hoping to be claimed.

Her attention was drawn to the water running in the shower and the thought of Damian standing under the warm spray, completely naked, and wet. She licked her lower lip then crossed her arms over her chest as a shiver coursed through her. She craved his touch. His warmth. Him.

She stood from the chair and took a step in the direction of the bathroom before stopping.

“I can’t go in there,” she said to herself.

He’s your mate. He’s yours. You can go in there, she thought.

She took another couple of steps until she was within a couple of feet of the door. She inhaled deeply and sighed as she continued to ponder going to the man she loved.

I love him. And he loves me.

With her final thoughts circling in her head, she took the last two steps and reached her hand out toward the door handle.

Here goes nothing, she thought. She pushed the door in and saw his amazing form through the beveled glass door, standing in the shower. She knew it was too late to run out of the bathroom.

“Is that you, Angel?” Damian’s lust-filled voice asked.

“Yes,” she said, just louder than a whisper.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah.”

She stepped closer to the shower door and slid it partially open. It was just enough of an opening to reveal her beautiful mate covered in a soapy lather, and just wide enough for her to slip through. He turned his head and watched her as she stepped into the shower behind him.

The water was warm and she was shivering. Damian took her hand and helped her walk up so she was under the warm flowing water. His cock began to thicken.

He used the body wash and lathered up her back and shoulders, carefully washing her beautiful, soft, creamy skin. After helping her rinse the soap from her back, he took the shampoo and lathered up her hair. Her hands took over and scrubbed her hair gently before she closed her eyes and leaned back to let the water wash away all of the soapy residue.

“You’re so beautiful,” Damian said. His voice was husky with need. His dick was so engorged it felt like it would explode. He needed to feel her heat snuggly gripping his cock, milking him.

Angel smiled, then lifted her head and wiped the water from her eyes. “Thanks. You’re very beautiful, too.”

He smiled.

Her eyes took him in, from his head, slowly moving down his torso, stopping on his impressive erection. She gasped before returning her gaze to his.

The tingling feeling that had stirred in her stomach began again, and she felt an ache between her legs. Her heartbeat and breathing sped up. She wiggled her fingers as her lips barely parted. She felt light-headed. This must be a dream, she thought as she felt herself slightly sway back and forth.

Damian closed the distance between them and wrapped one arm around her lower back and the other hand twined in her hair as he held her head gently, lowering his lips to meet hers.

She felt like she was melting in his strong grip. He held her tight, but not too tight. His kiss was strong, but not abrasive. And his cock pressed against her in a way that made her want to crawl up his body and beg him to make love to her.

His hand that was splayed on her lower back began to explore her lower half, rubbing over her hip, then across her rounded butt cheek.

He rotated them so he was standing closer to being under the shower head, then he pulled her in tighter to him, emphasizing his need to claim her. He slid his hand from her cheek up to meet his other hand. He had both entwined in her hair. Slowly, he walked her back a couple steps until her back was flush against the shower wall, never breaking their bond.

Angel’s eyes were hooded; she moaned as Damian leaned down slightly and caressed along the back of her thigh before pulling her leg up around his hip. He stroked his length between her slick lower lips. Her low mewls and moans were driving him crazy and caused a growl to rumble deep in his chest.

Damian wanted her desperately. His heart was thundering, and he could feel the blood pounding in his veins. His need had mounted so incessantly that he felt like he’d lose control as soon as he felt the warmth of her wrapped around him. He gently pressed against her opening, but never pushed inside her. He knew she wasn’t quite ready, but he planned to help get her there.

He wanted to make love to her. He wanted nothing more than to make sure she was worshipped and pleased properly, exactly as she deserved to be. She was his Alpha mate.

Ring. Ring. Bang! Bang! Bang! Ring. Ring.

“Fuck!” Damian growled as he pulled back from Angel.

“Who is that?” Angel asked. “Were you expecting someone?”

“No. The asshole at the door obviously needs to be put in their place, though.”

“It might be important,” she said.

“To me, there’s nothing more important than you.” He leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.”

Angel smiled at him, then took the body wash and began lathering her legs as Damian closed the shower door. Within what seemed like seconds, she heard the bathroom door click shut.

Damian tugged down his shirt and pulled on his jeans, and then stomped to the front door. He glanced at the clock and saw it was a quarter past eight. Before he opened it, he voiced his displeasure at being interrupted.

“This better fucking be important!” he yelled from behind the closed door. He unlocked the door and pulled it open.

“Hello to you, too, Damiano.” Thor stood before him with one hand on his hip, shaking his head.

“Father,” Damian said. He was only half sorry for hollering through the door, especially seeing that it was his father on the other side. But he was still furious that he and his mate had been interrupted.

Thor pushed his way past his son and entered the home. “We need to talk. My investigator has been doing some digging to find out who that Buck was that kidnapped your mate.”

“Hold that thought for a minute. I’ll be right back,” Damian said much more harshly than he’d intended.

Damian rushed into the bedroom and gathered clothes for Angel, then made his way into the bathroom. He told Angel his father had come to visit and that he wouldn’t be back as he’d expected, and that he wanted her to come out and meet him.

As Damian left the bathroom, he heard the water turn off and the shower door open and close. He walked back in to where his father had made himself comfortable on the sofa.

“So, about this Buck?” Damian questioned.

“Is everything okay here? You were rushing around like there was a fire,” Thor said. His head was cocked to the side as he looked at his son. “Is your mate okay? Do I need to get Trinity for her?”

“Everything’s fine. My mate, Angel, is doing fine. We went out for a hunt when I came back from seeing Jordan and we were just cleaning up.”

“I’m confused. The last update I received she was barely eating anything and wasn’t able to shift. When did that change?”

“I was as surprised as you are when I got back earlier. Trinity was leaving and was all smiles when I saw her and I asked how my mate was doing. She told me to go inside to see for myself, and there she was, sitting on the sofa. She’d shifted into the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.”

“That’s great news. Will I get to meet her anytime soon?”

Angel opened the bathroom door and slowly stepped across the threshold. She was happy for the thick carpeted flooring, and loved the feel of the fibers on her bare feet. She walked in to the living room where the voices were coming from.

Damian stood when he saw her come around the corner. She looked amazing in his T-shirt that fit her like an oversized dress and the yoga pants Trinity had left for her. Her hair was pulled up into a messy bun and looked like spun gold on top of her head. He smiled and held his hand out for her to come join him. Thor stood and turned in Angel’s direction.

“Hello,” she said in her soft, angelic voice. She moved so close to Damian’s right side that she could feel his warmth, and she intertwined their fingers as she held his hand in hers.

Damian spoke up to do the introductions before Thor had a chance to respond to her. “Angel, this is my father, Thor. He’s Alpha of this Pack. Father, this is my soul-mate, Angel.”

Thor reached out and shook Angel’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Angel. Certainly these are much better circumstances than before. How are you feeling? Is there anything you need?”

“I’m very happy to meet you, too. I’m feeling so much better.” Angel gave Damian’s hand a squeeze. “I have everything I need, thank you for asking.”

“Your mother will be thrilled to hear this news. And, of course, you know she’ll be here first thing in the morning to meet Angel. Perhaps the two of you can join us for breakfast. That will spare you from having the door pounded down.”

Like you just did, Damian thought. Damian and Angel looked at each other and smiled.

“We’d love that. What time should we be there?” Damian asked.

“Come by around eight o’clock. We’ll eat shortly after that. Then you and I can finish our chat after breakfast. Angel and Calista can get to know each other while we talk,” Thor said.

“We’ll be there,” Damian said.
