All In
JC looked around at the property his mate owned. It was nice and would make a great getaway place for their little family when he took his vacations. He’d never really done that before, but he would now.
Dez thought she could remain distant to put him through his paces. He might deserve it, but he couldn’t allow it. His wolf was trying to chew him up from the inside. It was obvious she felt the same pull he did, but she was fighting it.
That meant his job would be to convince her to give in. Now that they were here, he could begin to do just that. She escorted them into the house. They went to the back where there were separate facilities, almost like a second house had been built up against the first.
“You guys can stay here.” Dez said as she showed them the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedrooms. A quick count showed there were only three.
“I see the guys will be happy here. Where do I sleep?”
"Here.”
“There are only three bedrooms. Males don’t double up, Honey.”
“Fine.” She led me to the other side of the house and down the stairs to a guest area in the basement.
“Am I your dirty secret now?”

JC took it as a hint. He closed in on her crowding her up against the door. “What do I want?” He asked. “You!” He pressed her against the wall gently as his lips claimed hers.

He just nodded as she slipped away leading him back up the stairs. This time she gave him a guest room downstairs. Once she took him there, she left to go upstairs. JC assumed she needed to rest. “Where’s Dez?” Tanner asked.
“I assume she’s resting. She was the sharp shooter on the roof.” JC admitted.
“Your girl can shoot.” Grant complimented.
“You need to give her a checkup. She was there to see Ariel’s doctor.”
“Is she ill?” Grant asked concerned.
“Not exactly. She’s expecting.”
“Congratulations.” All the guys said. “It’s a big step. Are you ready for it?” Tanner asked.
“I’ll have to be. She’s already got most of the needed gear, but if we travel back and forth between here and there, we’ll need a second set for home.”
“You’re thinking of bouncing back and forth?” Tanner asked.
“I gave it a lot of thought. She loves this place besides, it is the center for several paranormal groups including the leader of the wardens. Did you see the river below? This is a wonderful place to vacation. Not to mention the fact that I have five betas, if I can’t take several trips a year, what are you guys for? You can call me in an emergency. It’s only five hours away. I’m going to be a dad and that kid needs me.”
“That’s going to be a wild ride for all of us. You’ll be the first one with a kid.” Grant said. Werewolves usually were more careful wearing rubbers because their seed was aggressive. Condoms were the only way to be sure they didn’t breed someone.
“That’s right. But for now, I saw someone working on her barn. Let’s go show him how it’s done.
They all walked down to where an older fellow was building the frame for a good sized barn. “Hello, there.” The man said.
JC could scent he was human. “Hello. Need some help? We’re staying with Dez for a while and need to earn our keep.”
He quickly gave them some instructions so they got to work. By the time it was dusk, they had a good start on her barn. The frame was complete with one side partially put on. “You boys are decent help.” Alfred admitted grudgingly.
He’d introduced himself, let them know he was Dez’s cousin, and that he looked out for her. JC was glad to know she had people looking out for her. They made their way to the house with Alfred trailing along. As they got close, they could smell something really good. Dare they hope Dez had cooked for them?
She had. Dez had made lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and green bean casserole. After she made everyone wash up, she fixed their plates. The food tasted as good as it looked. “Everything is good, just like it always is.” Alfred complimented.
“I took short cuts.” Dez admitted.
“I don’t care. You have some good short cuts. This is as good as I get at my favorite restaurant maybe better.” Alfred said. The guys all agreed.
“You need to take short cuts so you don’t wear yourself out.” JC agreed.
“Don’t worry, it makes clean up easy too.” Dez replied. They were eating on fancy paper plates.
The foil container the lasagna was cooked in would be thrown away when it was empty. Plastic silver ware would be tossed too. Dez was being careful she wouldn’t be overtired. He’d still bet she worked too hard most days, even if Grant assured him that she needed to keep in good shape or the delivery would be harder.
Everyone thanked her for the meal leaving to shower except JC who helped her clean up. “Why did you stay?” Dez asked.
“Can’t I just like to spend time with you even if it’s cleaning up after a meal?”
“Sure, but what guy likes to clean up?”
“That shows you how much I like being with you.”
“Hm, excuse me if I’m skeptical.”
“I understand. But I’ll overcome your doubts in time.” JC assured.
Dez just walked away since everything was cleaned. While she was taking a long hot shower, JC hurried to take one as well getting clean quickly. So that as she came out of the master bath, he waited for her on her bed naked as the day he was born. She immediately noticed turning a lovely red shade.
“What are you doing?” Dez asked.
