Ghost: A Bad Boy Second Chance Romance (Black Reapers Motorcycle Club Book 5) by Jade Kuzma (10)

ANNA

Seven years earlier…

Ivory didn’t have much going for it. The big cities were miles away in every direction. There was nothing but deserts between us and the rest of civilization. I heard the argument that Ivory was a nice place to get away. If you wanted to find solitude, it was the perfect town because there was nobody here.

Having lived here all of my life, I could tell you that the solitude that Ivory provided was just another word for boring.

Maybe it was because I was still young. A barely 18-year-old had even less to do in a town without much to do in it to begin with. But with a fake ID and the man by my side, I managed to find something that would keep me entertained.

And there was no better place to do it than at a bar like Finn’s.

It was a late Friday night. The place was packed. Asshole bikers pushing and shoving each other when they got too close. Girls trying to out-slut each other in their outfits. The smell of smoke and beer filled your nostrils with every breath. Loud music. Rowdy conversation. Finn’s was a melting pot of excitement and I was right in the center of it.

I looked up at the man standing next to me. Dark shaggy hair. A beard that was just growing in. Intricate tattoos. Tan skin. Bulging biceps that I just loved to grab. Oh, and then there was that leather kutte of his with the logo of the only MC in Ivory that mattered.

Yeah, Jon was the hottest fucking man in the city and he was all mine.

“You sure this is the place you wanna be?”

That smirk on his face only made him even hotter. I bit my lip, trying to hold back the grin working its way onto my lips.

“I wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else in the world,” I said.

He leaned forward and gave me a kiss. I opened my mouth wide and sucked his tongue between my lips. The taste of smoke and beer on him let me know just what kind of a man he was. I didn’t give a shit if anybody was staring at us. I knew every man and woman in the place was jealous.

The bartender poured another glass of beer in front of me. I pulled my lips away from Jon.

“Now now,” I said, raising an index finger at him. “Don’t be in such a hurry. We have all night to have fun. I got something special planned for you.”

“Is that right? What do you got planned?”

“If I told you, that would ruin the surprise.”

I winked at him then took a chug of my beer. I could already feel the alcohol flowing through my veins but it didn’t hurt to have even more. I’d never felt more alive than I did now.

Jon stood by my side while I finished my drink. I noticed that his eyes were wandering on the dance floor. I turned to look at exactly what he was staring at.

“What is it?” I said. “Some young whore caught your eye?”

“You know I don’t have eyes for whores. Only you.”

“Come on. I wanna have some fun.”

I took his hand in mine and led him out onto the dance floor. I pushed my way through the crowd until we were right in the center of it.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him close to me.

“I want everybody to know that you’re fucking me tonight.”

I tugged on his ear with my lips and grinned. Jon narrowed his eyes back at me. He wrapped his lips around my waist and pulled me close. I gasped when I felt his thick bulge in his pants.

“What have we here?” I said. “You excited, Mr. Brooks?”

“I’m excited. But not as excited as you.”

He moved his hand and pressed it against my stomach. Exposing my midriff, Jon slid his palm down slowly. Even though I was drinking, I was still getting embarrassed about what he was about to do.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.

“I’m letting everybody know that I’m fucking you tonight.”

I pressed my body against him and moved to the music. At the same time, Jon moved his hand down. I wasn’t wearing any panties, so it was easier for him to slide down toward the spot that was dripping for him.

He didn’t go all the way down. He only had his fingers down just enough to find the clit that was swollen for him. My knees buckled when he started rubbing me. I dug my nails into the back of his neck and braced myself. My eyelids fluttered.

“Oh… Shit…”

The music was loud. The conversations were the same. It was just enough to block out the sound of me moaning from the pleasure.

My legs started to tighten around him. My eyes watered. I was having trouble standing up straight.

He kept his hand on the small of my back to stop me from falling over.

“You gonna come?” he whispered.

“Y-yeah,” I gasped.

He rubbed me with the expertise of a fucking master. My orgasm was building inside of my stomach. My mouth opened slightly. I held onto him tight as I was just on the verge.

“Jon… Jon, I—”

“Hey!”

A sudden shove shifted both Jon and me on the spot. He pulled his hand away from me.

I quickly regained my senses and turned toward the two people next to us.

A bald-headed thug and his slutty girlfriend. Too much makeup. Too much bleach in her hair. Not enough of an outfit. Couples like these two were a dime a dozen.

“Watch where you’re going, bitch!” she said.

“What did you say?” I responded.

“You heard me! We’re trying to dance here!”

The bald-headed punk stepped forward.

“You need to keep an eye on your lady,” he said to Jon. “Maybe you should put a leash on her.”

The intensity in Jon’s eyes I saw a moment ago had changed. Now he didn’t wanna fuck me. No… He wanted to mess this guy up. And I wasn’t about to stop him.

Jon put his hand up and pushed me back as he stepped to the man.

“I’ll give you one chance,” Jon said. “Apologize right now.”

“I ain’t apologizing to you,” the man replied.

“You see this?”

Jon pointed at the Reaper patch on his chest. The skull should’ve been enough to make the man respect Jon.

“I don’t think you know who you’re talking to,” Jon said.

“I know who I’m talking to. I’m talking to a man who fucking doesn’t know how to keep his woman in place.”

“Fuck you!” I shouted. “Let’s go, Jon! Kick this motherfucker’s ass!”

Jon glanced at me with that smirk of his and turned back to the man.

“Outside,” he said.

“With pleasure.”

The crowd inside of Finn’s was too distracted to be bothered by what was happening. Jon and I marched outside with the other couple just behind us. Some of the people outside smoking took notice but an outside brawl was normal. I knew that even though I’d only been to the place a few times.

Jon took his vest off and let me hold it.

“Don’t worry,” he said. “This’ll only take a second.”

“Make it quick. You have to finish what you started.”

Jon winked at me and turned around.

His muscular physique on display, Jon never looked as sexy as he did when he was about to beat the shit out of someone. It was a warm night in Ivory. It seemed to make his muscles even more bulging as they glistened underneath the moonlight.

“Kick his ass!”

The woman cheered her man on. I would’ve felt a little intimidated by the bald man if I didn’t already know what Jon was capable of.

He’d been getting into fights ever since he was a kid. Schoolyard scraps hardened him into a man who didn’t take shit from anybody.

He put his hands up and the two men started circling one another. A few punches and Jon ducked out of the way. He responded with a pair of violent fists of his own, drawing blood from the man’s mouth.

“That’s it, Jon. Teach this asshole a lesson.”

Lefts and rights, Jon used every kind of punch to beat the guy into submission. But the big man wouldn’t go down. He managed to throw a hard punch that knocked Jon right in the temple.

“Jon!”

He stumbled down to a knee. I rushed up to him but he brushed me aside as he got back up to his feet. A small trickle of blood from his eyebrow wasn’t going to be enough to stop him.

“That’s all you got?” the punk said, his face bloody. “I’m gonna teach you some humility.”

He suddenly charged at Jon and tackled him to the ground. The two of them struggled with each other as more of a crowd started to gather around them.

Suddenly, the other woman rushed up and started slapping her hands across the side of Jon’s head.

“Hey, bitch!”

I ran up to her and tackled her to the ground. I screamed and tried to break free from her as she pulled on my hair. I threw my fists at her face, doing everything I could to hurt her.

The crowd around us grew louder. They screamed and hollered as all four of us were involved in the rumble. They were so loud that I didn’t notice the police sirens.

“Break it up! Now!”

I felt hands wrap around me and pick me up from the ground. I kept swinging until they finally bent me over the hood of the police cruiser.

“Stop struggling.”

I heard the calm voice of the police officer. My hands were forced behind my back and a pair of metal bracelets were locked around my wrists. I looked to the side and watched as they did the same to Jon.

Despite the bit of blood leaking from his face, he still managed to smile at me.

“I love you,” he said.

“I love you, too,” I said with a grin.

“All right, lovebirds,” the cop said. “That’ll be enough out of you.”

The parking lot at Finn’s was flooded with a number of police cruisers. I was forced into the backseat of one while Jon was forced into another.

I looked out the window and watched as Finn’s disappeared in the distance.

“What was that all about?” the cop in the front seat said.

“What?” I said.

“People don’t just brawl over nothing. Or maybe you did.”

“Oh. That. Jon had to stand up for himself. That punk disrespected the patch—”

“Right. Of course. MC business. Well, I hope it’s worth spending a night in jail, young lady.”

The officer was trying to intimidate me but it wasn’t going to work.

A night in jail was worth it for some excitement in this boring town.
