Irresistible Desire: A Savannah Novel #1 (The Savannah Series) by Danielle Jamie (10)

I need to make sure this doesn’t go any further than tonight. What will tomorrow be like? Having to be around him at the Envy party, will things be awkward? Will he act as if nothing happened?

It’s too much to think about right now; I need to get Kayden Knox out of my system so tomorrow I can move on with my life and he can with his. We’re both looking for nothing more than a good time, so it shouldn’t be hard. We will do business as usual tomorrow, part ways, and I’ll never have to see him again. Problem solved, I hope.

There’s a gentle knock at the door, “Everything okay?” Kayden asks.

I quickly zip my dress, strap my heels back on and run my fingers through my hair, trying to calm the just fucked looking mess on my head.

“Yeah, everything’s fine, just fixing my hair. I left my clutch up at the VIP lounge so I’ll have to wait to touch up my make up.”

I open the door to find Kayden leaning against his desk; his just fucked hair looks way too good on him. I didn’t think it was possible, but he looks even sexier than he did earlier. “Well…the just had sex look, looks good on you Kayden,” I say playfully, as I pull my hair back into a ponytail.

“I could say the same to you Savannah; your face is glowing right now. I think your cheeks are going to be sore from the smile you’re sporting at the moment,” He steps away from the desk and walks towards me. He reaches down for my hand and pulls it up to his mouth. He gently kisses my knuckles and smiles at me, “You are a very intriguing woman. I knew the moment I saw you that you were special. I usually don’t hang around long enough for there to be a round two…but with you Savannah, I’d risk anything just to be able to go ten rounds with you tonight”.

A small laugh escapes me, “Wow, you know how to make a woman swoon.” I shoot him a quick grin and pull him towards the door. “What do you say you get me out of here? We can start round two in your car, truck, cab…I don’t care, as long as it means you and your fingers are working their magic over my body.”

He lets out a deep growl and grabs my waist firmly with his hand, pushing me towards the door. “Well, what are we waiting for then? Let’s get the hell out of here.”

I walk quickly through the crowd with Kayden right behind me; his hand still firmly gripping my side. I run up the stairs to where Reagan and a few of our co-workers were still hanging out.

“Well…hello sex kitten,” Reagan peers up at me, as I step beside him to grab my clutch.

“Hello yourself,” I laugh. “I forgot my purse. You can head back to the hotel without me; Kayden is giving me a ride.”

“Ohh, I bet he is,” Reagan says, winking at me.

“Oh, my God, you know what I mean,” I roll my eyes and apply a fresh coat of lip gloss.

“Instead of worrying about who I will or will not be riding tonight, why don’t you drag your ass out of this lounge and onto the dance floor? Go find yourself a sex kitten,” I say and wave my hand towards the dance floor dramatically.

“Okay, Queen Savannah. You don’t need to be so bossy! I will drag my ass down there and find myself two sex kittens, how about them apples?” He stands up, flashes his boyish grin and points towards the stairs. “After you, my queen.”

“Stop calling me that. God, you are exasperating. Goodnight you guys see you all tomorrow night for the party,” I wave goodbye to Hailey and Rebecca, and our other co-workers, and make my way down the metal staircase back to Kayden. “Goodbye, Reagan…remember no glove, no love Mr., we don’t need any little Reagan Jr.’s running around Houston,” I bat my eyes at him playfully and give him a quick hug.

He just rolls his eyes at me and struts onto the dance floor to stalk some prey; I’m sure.

“You ready to go?” Kayden asks, reaching his arm around my back and pulling me to him.

“Yup, I’m ready when you are.” I glance up at the balcony and spot Rebecca and a few other co-workers watching us.

They all have looks of pure shock on their faces. I will definitely be the talk of the water cooler for the next few weeks at work; I think to myself, roll my eyes and turn my attention back towards Kayden. He bids his friend's goodnight, and we head out of the club.

“So, where are we going? Your place or your place?” I joke. He gazes down at me with a puzzled look on his face. “You know, because the hotel I have a room at is technically yours,” I laugh.

“Ohh, well the hotel is closer so if you don’t mind we’ll go there, but to my penthouse suite. We don’t need your co-workers listening to our sexcapades through the walls, now do we?”

I blush. I have never blushed so much in my life. “Good point. I think I’ll be gossiped about enough as it is just walking out of the club with you. I hope Eloise doesn’t flip her lid over this…having sexual relations with someone I’m working with.” My tone turns serious.

“Savannah, look at me,” He says, reaching for my chin and lifting my face to look at him, “Trust me, you’re fine. You will not get fired. If she even so much as tried to fire you for what we did in our free time, it would be the worst mistake of her life.” He looks dead serious as he speaks while looking down at me and examining my face.

"Okay,” is all I can manage to say.

Kayden has had such an effect on me in such a short amount of time that it was terrifying. I love the way he made me feel tonight, but at the same time it scares the hell out of me. I don’t want to be feeling the way I am right now, with him.

My one night stand with Shayne a few weeks ago was different; I was able to go out and have meaningless sex with him and not be phased one bit. I was able to walk away and not look back.

With Kayden, I have this feeling building up inside of me, telling me that one night with him would never be enough, which isn’t good at all…for one Kayden Knox doesn’t do the girlfriend thing and secondly, I did the whole boyfriend thing and had my heart ripped out of my chest and shattered into a thousand pieces.

I am way too fucked up to ever be in a relationship again. My heart is too broken…it's beyond repair. My life can only consist of meaningless sex, and nothing else if I’m going to be able protect myself from experiencing that level of pain ever again.

Kayden pulls his phone out and sends a text. We walk out onto the street, and an orange Audi SUV pulls up in front of us. “After you,” he says, motioning for me to walk to the car.

A tall, thin, but muscular looking man walked around and opened the door for the backseat. He looks to be just a little older then Kayden, maybe early thirties? He speaks with an Australian accent. “Good evening, Ma’am,” he says, as he holds the door open for me. I give him a small smile and climb into the car.

“Thank you,” I say, as Kayden tells him we’re heading over to the hotel and climbs in beside me.

“That’s my bodyguard and driver, Jax. He’s ex-military. He may not look big, but that guy can take down ten men without blinking,” he says, grinning at me. “For the most part I drive myself around and he follows me in this car. But on nights like tonight when I plan on drinking, I leave my truck at home and have him drive me around.”

“Why do you need a bodyguard?” I ask nervously. I don’t understand why someone who just owns an oil business and hotels would need security.

“My job comes with a lot of angry people. I get threats time to time and with my income bracket I get a lot of attention, too. So it’s just smart to take precautions.”

“Oh, well makes sense I guess. My parents have a security team they travel with, and they have them shadow me while I’m visiting them on tour. So I’m somewhat use to it.”

“Yeah, it’s the downside of fame; you lose some normality in your life. You can’t just jump up and go wherever you want, when you want. You have to bring security with you, to ensure your safety from the whack-jobs that are out there.” He reaches for my hand, and sets it on his lap as we talk.

“I love the car. Audi Q3? My mother has this but in black. My parents reckon Audi is the safest car out there,” I say.

“Yes, it is. Let me guess, you drive an Audi too?” He says, flashing me a quick smile.

“Yup, they got me one for my twenty third birthday, a white A5 Convertible. I absolutely love it.” I climb up onto my knees and slide onto his lap, straddling him. “I think we’ve done enough talking Kayden.” I run my fingers through his sandy brown hair, twirling it around my fingers.

Sliding his hands slowly along my thighs and around to my butt he pulls me up against his chest. He begins to kiss my shoulder, working his mouth up my neck and along my jaw, lightly sucking and finally…to my lips.

“I forgot you have no panties on, sorry about that. I hope they weren’t a favorite.” He laughs into my mouth as he grips my butt with one hand, and runs the other up my back to rest it on the back of my neck.

“Nope, I rather enjoy having no panties on, makes it that much easier for you to take me here…now,” I whisper into his ear so Jax won’t hear me.

“Jax, can you turn the radio up a few more notches?” Kayden asks, leaning towards the front of the car. Jax turns the stereo system up, blasting Eric Church throughout the car. “There, that’s better,” he growls into my ear, as he kisses my neck. He scoots along the back of the seat, so we’re now positioned behind Jax.

Reaching down, I slowly unzip his pants, slide my hand into his briefs and spring his exceptionally large cock free.

Leaning forward, Kayden crashes his mouth against mine. Desire overtaking him, he grips my hips lifting me up momentarily, only to set me down on top of him, sliding into me completely, “You’re addicting Savannah. I feel like I can’t get enough of you. I have never had sex in this car before…Christ, with Jax just a few inches away from us. What are you doing to me?”

I can barely focus let alone form a sentence as Kayden trails fire hot kisses along my collar bone. “Well I’m pleased to know I bring the bad out in you because you are totally doing the same to me.”

A small moan escapes me; I quickly bite down on Kayden’s shoulder to muffle the sound. He’s ever so slowly lifting me up and down his shaft. Sucking in a sharp breath of air, Kayden stills me and flashes an impish grin as he seductively drags his tongue over his bottom lip.

Gripping his shoulders, I rest my face on his shoulder, “I can’t believe I’m doing this right now; he could turn around and see us fucking in this backseat, and I could care less.” My words come out breathlessly into his ear as I slide up and down his length.

I keep my face buried in his neck to muffle my moans of pleasure, trying to move as little as possible. Knowing his driver is in the car with us is scary and exhilarating, all at the same time.

Kayden is trying to restrain himself too, gripping my thighs with so much force that I know I’ll have bruises tomorrow. I ignore the pain and focus on the effect I’m having on this magnificent man. I feel him begin to grow larger and start to throb inside me; he’s getting close. I start to move faster, moving my hips in a circular motion to massage the tip of him deep inside me.

I can feel my insides tightening, as the pressure builds up. Kayden moves his finger to my clit and begins massaging it with his thumb.

We come together; it’s explosive and overwhelming, the excitement of trying to keep quiet making it even more arousing. My lungs ache from holding my breath as I ride out my orgasm. Kayden is kissing and biting my neck as he grips my hips and moves me forcefully up and down his cock as he finishes.

It’s overwhelming; climaxing together at that moment, feeling as if we’re connecting on a completely different level. It doesn’t feel like just sex; it feels deeper than that, which worries me…a lot!

We were so wrapped up in the moment that we didn’t even remember to use protection and panic washes over me as I descend back down to reality. I’m on the pill and know I’m clean, but I know nothing about Kayden…the only thing I do know is that he’s been with a lot of women.

Who knows if he’s used protection every time? I’ve never had sex without a condom before; the feeling of his warm, velvety skin inside me was even more stimulating.

As if he can read my mind, Kayden whispers into my ear, “Don’t let this moment get ruined by over thinking things Savannah, live in the moment. I’m clean; this is another first for me.” He rains kisses down my jaw and to my mouth, his tongue diving furiously into me, entwined with passion as we kiss feverishly for what feels like an eternity.

I pull away from his mouth to try and catch my breath, and I lean down to whisper back to him, “Thank you for this, for everything tonight. I haven’t felt this free in a very long time.”

I slide off of him and adjust my dress; I could still feel him inside of me. He fixes himself up, and if Jax was to look back now he’d never be able to tell anything had happened. Kayden wraps his arm around me, pulling me against his side.

He reaches into the pocket on the back of the passenger seat and pulls out some tissues. He hands them to me so I could clean myself up, “Do you think you’ll be ready for round three by the time we get to the hotel?” Kayden asks his voice husky with sex as a sly smile creeps across his lips.

“Yeah, but I think I need some food when we get to your suite because you’ve worn me out, Knox,” I say playfully, loving the twinkle in his eye when I call him by his popular nickname. “I don’t think I’ll feel so guilty about missing the gym the next couple of days, because I have a feeling by the time this evening is over, I will have worked every muscle in my entire body.” I lean up, giving him a quick kiss before laying my head on his chest.

I want to enjoy every moment of tonight, soak it all in, because I know it’ll be a one-time thing. The pang of sadness that hits me as that thought sinks in terrifies me.

Tomorrow life will swiftly move back to normal again. For one night, I can pretend I’m capable of feeling something for someone. Kayden has awakened things inside of me I thought were dead forever.

Kayden’s voice pulls me away from my thoughts. “How long are you planning on staying in Houston? I thought you were all flying in just for the weekend?” he asks, glancing down at me with a puzzled look on his face.

He had only paid for our rooms until Sunday. I hadn’t told anyone except Eloise, Reagan and Brooklyn, that I was staying at my parent’s beach house for the week.

“I’m checking out on Sunday along with everyone else, but then going to Galveston to stay at my parent’s beach house for a few days. It’s nice getting away from Los Angeles, away from paparazzi and the craziness that my life has turned into since the whole Logan ordeal,” I say, letting out a deep breath.

“Oh, I see. I’m glad that I don’t have to deal with that very much here. When I go to places for work, like New York or Los Angeles I seem to get the most attention from those bloodsuckers. They will do anything for a picture, even risk getting run down by a car,” he says sarcastically. “Where in Galveston is their beach house? I own some rental properties there.”

“It’s on Galveston Island, Sixty-First Street.”

“I have three rental properties along Blue Water Highway, it’s a great area… how long have your parents had a beach house there?” He asks, turning towards me more.

“About eight years now, we bought it during my sophomore year of high school. Brooklyn, my best friend, and I came and stayed there the entire summer after we graduated high school.”

“Well maybe I’ll run into you while you’re there. I take my speed boat out with friends a lot; I keep a boat at one of the rentals over there. People like to have a boat to use while staying there on vacation.”

Before I can say anything, Jax interrupts, “We are here, sir. Do you want me to drop you off and stay here at the hotel? Or take the car back to the house?” His Australian accent is very thick and extremely sexy.

“You can just drop us off here and head home. I’ll call you in the morning to pick me up. Thanks Jax. I got the door, stay put.” He slides out of the car, holds the door open for me and reaches for my hand to help me out. “Goodnight Jax.”

“Goodnight sir and it was nice meeting you Savannah,” he says with his strong Australian accent instantly bringing a smile to my lips. There is just something about accents that get me; I laugh to myself.

“It was a pleasure meeting you too, Jax.” I smile sincerely at him before Kayden closes the car door.
