Jabari (The Broken Book 2) by Serena Simpson (16)

Chapter Sixteen

“Hey.”

Jabari was playing with her hair. It woke her up.

“I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“You like my hair.”

“I do. It’s more than the sign of the defender. It’s beautiful. I love how it flows around your face and makes your brown eyes so mysterious.”

“I wish… That we could have more time. Selfish maybe, but I want to spend as much time with you as I can.” She rolled toward him. Her hand on his chest as she sucked up his heat.

His hand trailed down her throat until he stopped at her pulse point. “Brandi, I want to make you my mate.”

She closed her eyes and took deep breaths to keep her heart from pounding out of her chest.

“I can’t let you do that. I know created only get one mate. I won’t take the chance of you finding someone else, away from you.”

“You only half understand.” His hand was now running up and down her spine.

She was sure he was attempting to calm her. There was nothing calm about his hands on her.

“We know who our mate is. Sometimes immediately. They’re times we need to spend some time with her to know for sure. Once we meet her, there will never be another. You’re it, Brandi, there will never be another you. Making it official won’t make the fact any different.”

She buried her head in his chest as she tried to bite back a sound of sadness. “I don’t want you to live alone.”

“I’ve been alone my whole life. No one, but my brothers. This time with you will have to last me a lifetime.”

The tears she refused to cry slipped from behind her closed eyes. He was so matter of fact about the loneliness he would suffer.

“I want to be your mate Jabari. It’s too soon, but I care about you. I want you to know that.”

He wrapped his arms around her and laid on his back pulling her onto his chest.

“I love how cuddly you are.” He growled into her ear. She laughed. It was soft and melodic, like the sound of bells.

“You make me crazy. I think things I never thought before.”

“Like what?”

“How warm your eyes are and how the green around them gives you the look of a defender going to war. Or how your voice reaches inside of me and holds me hostage with one small word. I think of tomorrow and the day after when you’re near me. I can’t stop myself.”

“Jabari.”

“Don’t, some pain is worth it. You’re worth it.”

“You already carry around a lot of pain.”

He nodded. “My brothers, the ones you know, aren’t the ones I was born with.”

“Where are they?”

The hand that was stroking her back, stopped. His body stilled.

“You don’t have to tell me.”

“I want to. No two created are alike, not even brothers. We are given different mixtures of DNA from both animal and sentient beings who were considered animals by the Scientists.”

“So, these are brothers because you’ve kind of adopted each other.”

“Yes and no. We have come together and formed a brotherhood. Yes, to that. Every set of brothers gets a specific set of DNA. It’s all the same, but the quantities differ, which ensures that we differ. There is one thing every created has in common. It’s the same female DNA. That makes us half-brothers. It also gives us the ability to tap into the different male DNA that we receive.”

“So, the world you come from is filled with mad scientists.”

“Pretty much.”

Her mouth twitched as she fought back a smile. He was amazing at times. She frowned when his eyes clouded. He must be thinking of his brothers. She planted a kiss on his chest.

“My brothers were born strong. No weaknesses. I couldn’t keep up with them. No one understood why I was so weak at first. I trained all day every day, but I didn’t seem to improve. The Scientists decided to get rid of me. Cut their losses and move on. One of them ran me through with a pole and left me lying in the dirt to die. Three days later, I stood up. You would think that would be it, but it wasn’t. He took the same pole and ran it through my heart. Five days later, I stood up.”

His hand tightened around her waist. She ran her hand over his chest until the beat of his heart slowed down. The breathing that was coming fast calmed.

“Soon they realized I was an Ancentrass. It was one of the DNA strands in the mixture they gave us. It only seemed to take in me.”

“What does that mean?”

“Rumor states we are unable to die. I cannot confirm or deny that. We are also family beings. Those connected to us cannot die. My brothers…”

She kept quiet because she knew something had gone wrong.

“We went on some of the most dangerous missions because the Scientists thought of me as their insurance policy. They forgot I’m a hybrid. I was also young. Our mission was simple. Stop the aircraft we were on from leaving the planets gravitational pull. I don’t know how far up we were. We sabotaged the craft and fell back to the planet.”

“They sent you on a death mission.”

“Not in their minds. Something went wrong. When we were falling, I felt like I was being split in to. Every bit of energy I had was drained from my body. I passed out before I even hit the ground. When I woke up, my brothers were dead. Now the only person I can protect is myself.”

She stroked him, murmuring soft words to calm him.

“If I were well, I could tie you to me.” It was harsh and broken.

She felt the pain break over her. “Stop that. You are well. This is how it’s supposed to go. It sucks I get it, but you won’t take this on yourself. It’s not your fault your brothers died.”

“I won’t be able to follow you.”

“Then I’ll follow you and make sure you’re living life to its fullest.” She planted her mouth on his and kissed him like it may be the last one she ever got.

“I don’t regret meeting you Jabari. I don’t know what’s next, but I don’t want to miss what we have worrying about what happens after death.”

“Then love me.”

She gave him a wicked smile before she lifted and rubbed her hard nipples against his chest. His groan was enough to encourage her. She placed her mouth on his pulse point and sucked. She could feel the blood course through his body while the beating of his heart matched hers making her ache for him.

Her hand went to his pecs caressing him before she found his nipples and rubbed her palms across them.

“So hard,” she murmured loving the way they tickled her. “I love how strong you are. Not just your body, but your will. I think what you went through would have broken a lesser male.”

“So says the female who has gone after everything she wanted including me.”

“You were easy.”

He laughed, and she felt light-hearted. Her tongue darted out to lick his nipple before her head lowered, and she took it into her mouth sucking hard. The deep inhale of breath was its own reward. The feeling of this cock rising beneath her was more than enough to stop all mental processes except the one that kept repeating I want, and I need.

Her pussy was becoming slick with moisture as she felt her walls trying to cling to something that wasn’t there. She switched nipples enjoying how he tasted. He was tangy with a hint of spice and fire that sent waves of need through her belly.

Her hand went lower followed by her mouth.

“Oh no you don’t.” He flipped her so that she was lying on her back. He pinned her hands above her head and gave her a look that set her on fire. It was a mix between gentle, and I’m going to eat you alive. Her bad alien.

“No touching until I say so. Got it?”

She nodded and bit her lip. He let her hands go, and she gripped the pillow because she needed to touch something preferably him.

He stroked down her breastbone teasing her. She never thought of that part of her as being sensitive, but he was changing that. Her eyes were becoming wider as he made her want to squirm.

“Stay still Brandi.” She nodded and kept watching him.

His finger traced around her areola but never touched her nipple. How could it be so hard? It stood up panting, begging to be touched. She wanted to pant too. He looked at her, stared her down before his finger flicked her nipple just hard enough to send a spiral of pain followed by pleasure through her. Her hips came off the bed grinding against the air. A frustrated moan of need left her.

He took her nipple into his mouth and sucked. Her fingers pulled at the pillow wanting to bring her hands down and touch herself.

“Harder.”

He nipped at her before pulling her nipple back into his mouth. His hand went to the other one pulling before he twisted just enough to tease another moan from her.

Her hands lifted a little.

“Don’t move those hands.” Damn, his voice was deep and dark. It slivered through her making her body tremble.

He took her other nipple in his mouth sucking on it until it was so hard that she thought it might burst.

“You taste sweet.” The words came out on a deep breath. Her already wet pussy was flooding.

She turned her body just enough to be able to rub her pussy against his hip.

“Hell yeah.” The words came out as pleasure flooded her.

“Naughty girl.” He smacked her pussy just enough to get her to scream. A mini orgasm taking her to another world.

“Stop teasing me,” she hissed when she could think again.

“Do you know what I want?”

He better want the same thing she wanted. “Your cock filling my pussy until all I can do is scream your name?”

His deep yes was drawn out and set her nerve endings on fire. He opened her legs wide before he caressed her slit. He stuck a finger in deep making her pant.

“I want—.”

“I know what you want.”

Her eyes went wide when he rose over her body. His cock was long and thick. She had to lick her lips and remind herself to breathe. This was what she wanted the minute she first laid eyes on him.

He rubbed the head of his cock against her slit teasing her with the promise of satisfaction, but not delivering it.

“Jabari.” He thrust hard planting himself deep within her. Her scream rolled off the walls, and her hands gripped his arms. If he wanted her not to move this time, he’d need handcuffs. She could get into that with him because she trusted him.

He withdrew and pounded into her. She lost track of every thought as well as her name. She needed more of what he was doing to her. Her legs spread wide taking him deeper as she met each thrust. He was whispering words that didn’t make sense.

Her hands were moving down his back, then she wrapped her legs around him. He needed to go deeper, faster, harder. She could feel her heart racing as her pussy throbbed. He filled every inch of her. She could feel him as the walls of her pussy clung to him. Her voice came out in sounds of need and desperation as she raced to the final moment.

She wanted to slow down to hold onto every incredible sensation. But she was too greedy, or maybe she was just needy, but her body was driving her forward. Her head tilted back, and she screamed.

He struck at that moment his teeth sinking deep into her shoulder. Her scream got louder as she convulsed. Darkness greeted her like a friend before shards of light lit it up. She shuddered and dove into the lights that were calling her name. Her eyes drifted shut as she felt him turn her and pull her close. All she wondered was when could they do this again?

She woke up to the sound of Fie’s voice in her head. Jabari was dressing. He turned to her and put a finger over his mouth. She nodded and rose to dress. Someone was attacking the house.
