Jameson (Face-Off Series Book 4) by Jillian Quinn (17)

Chapter 17

Regan

Staring into the mirror in our bedroom, I fix the curls that sit just above my breasts in this dress. The hairdresser spent over an hour curling my hair, only for the humidity to mess up her hard work. Now, I’m attempting to style my hair into something more manageable. I have to look presentable in the wedding pictures. This is the wedding of the year. I can only image how many photographers and videographers will be stalking the Wells Fargo Center to take our pictures.

Jamie comes up from behind, hooking his arm around me, as he slides down the zipper on my bridesmaid dress. He kisses my shoulder, his touch making me wet in anticipation. “You’re beautiful, Regan,” he mutters against my skin. “I love this dress on you, but I’d like it better off.”

“I just got into this dress. What are you doing, Jameson?” I shake my head in disapproval, smiling at him through the mirror once he peeks up at me.

He runs his hands down the front of the silky fabric, his touch sending a chill through me. Rubbing his hand over my panties, he leans down to suck on my neck and slides the spaghetti strap off my shoulder.

“We have to leave soon,” I whine, but my voice comes out like a moan because it’s hard to resist Jamie and how my body responds to him when he’s in this kind of mood.

“I don’t need much time,” he whispers, as he tugs on my ear with his teeth. “You look so fucking sexy in this dress. Take it off.”

“Jamie, you're a naughty boy. You will never hear the end of it from Coach if we’re late.”

Even though I know her better now, it’s still weird for me to call Coach Charlie, especially since Jamie and her boss are the only people who call her by that name. She doesn’t seem to mind and responds to any of her names. I’m so honored that she wanted me to be part of her wedding.

Having Jamie’s best friend, who means more to him than anything in the world, ask me to be in her wedding only solidified our relationship. Since Jamie left Mr. Conway and his awful company, things have been different for him, which have led to a different life for us. The changes I see in him each day bring us closer together.

While I’m still working at the Wells Fargo Center, I plan to leave by the end of the year to help Jamie with his new company. He needs me. After all, the man named his software after me. So, it only makes sense that I take my place alongside him, as he navigates this new endeavor.

Jamie spins me around, pushing my butt against the dresser, as he invades my mouth with his tongue, his hunger for me so intense that it makes my head spin. “I need to be inside you.”

He grabs my ass with both hands and lifts me up and onto the dresser, never breaking contact. Still intertwined, I reach between us and pull down the zipper of his black slacks, and Jamie already has my dress shoved up to my waist. His dick is so hard that it pokes through the slit in his boxer briefs, grazing my inner thigh. Ever since we’d gotten back together, I got on the pill. Jamie hates having any layers between us, and I feel the same way. He’s the man I plan to spend the rest of my life with, so there should be no barriers.

He stops kissing me long enough to give me a devious look and peels my panties to the side, taking his cock in his hand to position himself at my entrance. Staring into my eyes, Jamie leans forward and fills me, my fingernails digging into his back as he fucks me, hard and fast. The mirror slams against my back, banging on the wall, but that doesn’t stop him. With each thrust, I come undone.

My muscles tighten around me, and even though he could fuck me all day long, he knows we need to make this quick. Any minute now, the limo driver will be knocking on the door to pick us up for the wedding.

A moment after I come, Jamie finishes, the sweat running down his face and soaking his chest. He touches my jaw with his thumb, stroking my skin. “Pretty soon it will be our turn.”

I narrow my eyes at him, confused by his comment. “Our turn for what?”

“To get married.” He says this so matter-of-fact as if he already has it planned out for us.

“Am I missing something?”

Still inside me and apparently ready for another round, Jamie kisses me. Some days, like this one, he’s insatiable. We’ve already had sex twice since we woke up this morning. That was only a few hours ago.

He shakes his head and whispers, “I am going to marry you, Regan Turner. Going through all this with Charlie only makes me realize how much more I want this for us.”

“Are you getting all sappy on me, Dimples?” I ask, sticking my finger in the crevice in his cheek.

“Maybe.” He looks at me from beneath his brow, a sexy-as-fuck glaze in his eyes. “Is it working?”

I nod, and he keeps going.

“I didn’t have much of a family growing up. All I had was Charlie, and now that’s she moving on and thinking of having a family of her own, I realize now more than ever that I want those things with you. I want us to have everything I didn’t get a chance to experience when I was younger.”

Thrusting inside me once more, his pace quickening, Jamie grips my hips, taking me to a whole new level of euphoria. Placing my palms on both sides of me, I hold onto the dresser for support, as Jamie eases in and out of my slickness, owning my body.

“Just to be clear,” I grunt out, my eyes rolling into the back of my head. “You had better not be proposing to me in the middle of sex.”

“I was just stating my intentions,” he chokes out, his face twisting into a focused expression.

His intentions? He had better not propose to me today, of all days, or I will have to kill him. I ignore the thought, allowing the passion to consume me, as Jamie fulfills all my desires.

With only a few minutes to spare, Jamie pulls out of me, our juices dripping down my thigh. I can barely function, my legs shaking from all the pounding Jamie did between them. Our limo driver buzzes our apartment, the sound of the bell ringing through the bedroom.

We compose ourselves, my hair now a tangled mess, despite doing my best to look as though I had made an effort for Coach’s big day. Jamie pulls up his pants and runs toward the door, leaving me a few minutes to push down my dress and spray my hair with anti-frizz. I can only hope what’s left of the curls will stay put long enough to snap a few pictures.

As the escort of the man-of-honor, Jamie has assured me that I will be with him at all times, hogging up space in the wedding album. In six short months, I’d never expected to fall in love with Jamie and find myself planning our life together. I’m glad that Jamie and I are on the same page, even if our plans are moving faster than normal.

Walking into the living room with a smile, I lock onto Jamie, his eyes full of happiness, although the sex glaze is still there. The driver and I exchange pleasantries, before opening the front door to return to his car.

Jamie holds out his palm to me, and I place my hand in his, giving him a squeeze. “I’m so glad we made it this far,” he says, his tone soft and sincere. “And I’m serious about marrying you. I want to do it the right way. I want to meet your dad, get to know him, share my bed with you, and then, when the time comes, I will get down on one knee and ask you to be my wife.”

“You want to meet my dad,” I croak, my eyes filling with tears. “To ask him to marry me?” Reaching up to run my hand through his hair, I smile so wide the muscles in my face hurt. “You really are perfect. In every way. I love you so much. My dad will love you just as much as I do.”

“I love you, too, baby.” He brings my hand up to his mouth and plants a kiss on my skin. “I wish your dad wasn’t so busy. We should have met by now.”

“Well, you know I don’t let just any old guy meet my dad. For all I’d known, you were dating me just to get to him.” I joke about the last part.

“We should drive up to Canada now that your dad is back home for the summer. It could be fun to make a trip out of it and take all the scenic routes. Plus, I’d like to meet your mom, too.”

Overwhelmed by emotions, I wipe the corner of my eye with my thumb. “My dad will like the fact that you’re old fashioned because he’s the same way. And my mom will love you, too. It’s impossible not to adore you.”

Jamie grins, not needing words to communicate. As his lips brush against mine, he pulls me closer, slipping his tongue into my mouth. With one hand, he rakes his fingers through my hair, deepening the kiss, and with the other, he pulls me closer, gripping my ass over thin fabric of my dress.

My entire body sets on fire from the brush of heat his kiss leaves behind as he pulls back from me. His eyes burn a hole through me, our bond so strong I can already read his mind before he speaks. This is what it feels like to be in love. True love that cuts through me.

Before Jamie, I thought I’d never find this connection with another person. I was always alone and afraid, too worried about stepping out from behind my father’s shadow. Because of this man, I am doing just that, about to help Jamie take on the tech world. We’re in this together, partners in both business and life.
