“If a member asks for any fucking thing, you get your ass moving in a hurry,” I explain to our two new prospects. “If one of them calls you in the middle of the night, you sleep with the burner phone in your bed and answer it on the first ring. “He won’t be by,” she assures me. “At least, not for a while.”

“Do you want me to leave?”
