Mr. Heartbreaker : Mr. Series #2 by J.L. Beck (5)

Chapter Five

Mason

I made things right with Georgia so it was only right that I did the same thing with Blair and Dominic. Plus, I had a nephew that needed his uncle.

“Where are we going?” Georgia asked from the passenger seat of my truck. I hadn’t been able to keep my hands off of her so we were running a little late.

“To see someone very special, someone, I think you’ll enjoy seeing too.” I smiled, pulling into the parking lot of the hospital. I know it hadn’t been long, and that Georgia and I had a lot of time to makeup but I wanted a baby with her so badly. I wanted to see her belly swollen with my seed, her glowing face, as she walked around our house, with a ring on her finger making her my wife.

“Wait, is everything okay? Why’re we going to a hospital?” I almost laughed at the confusion that laced her words.

“You’ll find out shortly, just trust me okay?” Georgia seemed to swallow down whatever fear and confusion she was having. I parked the truck and killed the engine.

“Seriously though, this isn’t the part where you tell me you’re dying of cancer or something right?” Her face was dead serious.

“Jesus, Peach no.” I laughed opening the truck door. She got out at the same time ending the conversation about my apparent looming death and we walked hand in hand up to the hospital doors.

“Seriously Mason, just tell me nothing is wrong because I’m freaking out right now. I just got you back and if something is happening that I need to know about please, please just…” I took her by the cheeks and kissed her with so much passion I prayed that whatever thoughts, that were running rampant throughout her mind would vanish.

“There is nothing wrong with me. No illness. No pain. Nothing. I swear that to you.” I whispered against her lips before pulling away. Knowing how much she still cared was all that mattered in my eyes.

“Okay…” She mumbled, and we continued our walk to Blair’s room. I stopped in the little flower shop before the maternity ward and got her some flowers. They were white lilies, and I knew that Blair would love them and hopefully take them as a peace offering. Within seconds we were in Blair’s room. My hands were sweating, and my stomach was in knots. The last time I had seen her or Dominic I was so disappointed and upset with both of them. I didn’t understand how she could give her heart to Dominic… when he was who he was. Yeah, he was my best friend, but he was also a man, a man that could break her heart.

I raised my fist and knocked softly on the wooden door.

“Come in…” They said in unison and looked down at Georgia’s confused expression knowing shortly she would piece the entire thing together.

The air left my lungs as I took in my little sister lying in a hospital bed holding a small baby that was wrapped up in a white blanket. She looked exhausted but still smiled.

“Georgia oh my gosh. I can’t believe you’re here.” Blair gave me a look that said tell me everything. When I looked to Dominic, I saw nothing but a brother.

“I could say the same to you. You had a baby, and with….” Georgia’s eyes went wide as she took in Dominic sitting in the chair next to the bed. “Dominic…”

“She sure did, and were getting married too so if there is anyone here that doesn’t agree with that, they can get the fuck out.” I knew that last part was completely said to me.

“Dominic…” Blair warned and I couldn’t help but let out a nervous chuckle.

“I didn’t come here to stir the pot, Dom. I came to congratulate, see my nephew and give Blair my blessing…” I shoved the lilies at him, with a smirk. He had to know deep down that I really did care about him and Blair.

“Good.” He grunted taking the flowers. Georgia was staring at all three of us with confusion on her face.

“Did I miss something?” She whispered.

“Did I? Last I knew Mason, and you were broken up for good.” Blair countered her eyes glittering with amusement. A blush crept up onto Georgia’s creamy white cheeks.

“Yeah, I guess we were…” My sweet Peach suddenly became shy, and I kind of liked the look on her.

“Anyway…” I cleared my throat. “I came to see that little bundle of joy, and talk to you, Blair.” Blair’s eyes lifted to mine, before going to Dominic’s. There were so many words that could’ve been exchanged between the two of them in that moment even though their lips hadn’t moved.

“It’ll be fine. Take Georgia down to the cafeteria.” Blair encouraged, and even though Peach was still confused she went along with Dom, who sighed as he got up. With the sound of the door closing behind them I took the seat next to Blair and let the silence settle between us before saying anything.

“What’s going on with you? I’m worried. Mom and Dad are worried and believe it or not Dominic misses you? Are you okay? What’s going on with you and Georgia?” Blair fired away, question after question and all I could do is smirk at her like the asshole brother I was holding out on a secret.

“Can I hold my nephew…?” I asked my eyes going to the little baby boy snuggled in his blanket. He was so tiny, and perfect, and it did nothing to stop my hormones. I wanted a baby, with Georgia, hell I wanted everything with her.

Blair narrowed her eyes before handing her son off to me. I cradled his head and brought him down against my chest, my heart beating out of my chest.

“You’ve been gone so long we didn’t know if you were ever going to come back. I miss you, Mase.” Blair’s eyes filled with tears, making me feel even more like an asshole.

“Oh, you don’t mean that. I’m an asshole sis. But even on my good days, I’m still a dick.” I laughed, my eyes staying on the perfect little angel in my arms. He was perfect, just like an angel sent from heaven.

“Are you okay though?” The cracking in her voice caused me to lift my eyes to her. Blair was a lover, and never a fighter so this fight, this disagreement it would be my job to fix and I was going to fix it.

“I’m fine, actually I’ve never been better.” I licked my lips. “I’m back with Peach, and I wanted you to know that I approve of you and Dom being together. I was stupid to ever think that I could tell you who you could love. It just took me by surprise and hurt me more than you’ll ever know when I found out that you guys were together behind my back.”

The little boy in my arms grabbed my attention with his sweet little yawn. I was head over heels in love with this little guy.

“I’m sorry, Mase. We just worried that you would react horribly, but I guess we didn’t take into account the fact that you would be pissed for us hiding it.” I moved my hand, grasping Blair’s hand in mine.

“Don’t be sorry. I was wrong for hurting both you and Dom by making the scene that I had, and I learned that from Peach. That love sometimes comes out of nowhere, and that you can’t really control the feelings that become unleashed.” I spoke with conviction. The truth was we didn’t choose who we loved, it chose us and I needed to be happy for my sister and Dominic because they deserved to have my blessing so that they could have their happily ever after.

“Awe Mase you’re going to make me cry.” Blair sniffled swiping at some tears that had fallen from her eyes. I understood everything that Blair and Dom were feeling because I was now feeling it too.

“I probably should’ve waited till you were home to tell you…” I gave her a sorry look and shrugged my shoulders.

“I’m fine. I really am. I’m just so happy for you and I’m happy that you’re okay. I missed you so much, Dom has missed you too.” I wasn’t going to admit it out loud since guys didn’t do that kind of thing but I missed Dom too.

He was my best friend and just because he was dating my little sister didn’t mean we couldn’t still be friends.

“I’ll make things right with him too. I just had to let you know.” Making things right with my family was the first step now that Georgia and I were back together. Next would be putting a ring on her finger and a baby in her belly. I wanted the happily ever after everyone else was getting.

“Now what’s going on with you and Georgia?” Blair questioned, and I could practically see the gossip she was about to start with Mom.

“We're back together, and I plan on putting a ring on her finger and a baby in her belly. She’s my forever.” It took me losing her, and me losing myself to realize it but I wanted a happy life, and I wanted with a woman that I didn’t only love. I wanted it with my best friend.

Blair’s eyes seemed to grow as I spoke. “Wow, I never would’ve thought the day would come that my heartbreaker of a brother would settle down.”

“Well, you better believe it because it’s happening.” I ran a finger down my nephew's nose, relishing in his super soft skin. He was beautiful.

Dom and Peach walked through the doors a moment later and Peach was laughing harder than I had ever seen her laugh before.

“Yeah, so he’s done a lot of really horrible shit while in the military.” Peach stopped laughing as soon as she took me in her eyes going straight to the baby in my arms. I could see that this was what she wanted a baby of her own.

She stared with amazement and awe.

Yeah, I can’t wait to see you, swollen baby.

“Congratulations asshole, you make a cute kid.” I joked to Dom who flipped me off.

“Sure thanks, dick.” He remarked his eyes going straight to Blair. I could tell how much he loved her just from that one single look.

“Treat her right and we won’t have any problems. Break her heart, and I’ll break your dick off.” I warned, because I would a best friend or not. If he hurt my sister, I would hurt him. With a roll of his eyes, he tipped his chin in understanding.

“Was that needed?” Peach nudged me in the arm after I handed the baby back to Blair. I wrapped a tight arm around her and kissed her on top of her head, her scent filling my nostrils.

“Completely needed. Now let’s get home. I’m hungry and there’s only one thing I want to be eating right now.” I whispered though I was sure Dom and Blair had heard as well. Dominic didn’t seem to care, and Blair gave me a puking face.

“It’s been nice seeing ya’ll, but I got a meal to get too.” I laughed and laughed harder when Peach punched me in the side.

This was my girl, and I wasn’t afraid to show off just how much I wanted or loved her.
