Musketeers: Fallen MC #2 by C.J. Washington (14)

Chapter fourteen

Bones

Track had met his end with a few less fingers and toes than he started with. It took longer than he was expecting for him to crack, but he did eventually…they all do. Track hadn’t known as much as they hoped but they got some good intel to go off of now, and it brought them a couple of steps closer to Dane.

They hadn’t been lying when they told Bianca that it wouldn’t do her any good to know what was going on at the moment. They’d just discovered that Dane put a bounty out on her sister, Maggie’s head for twenty-five grand and Bianca would lose her mind if she knew. There would be plenty of people who will be wanting that money so the race to find Maggie and Brandon was on.

They weren’t going to search for them though. Bianca had cleverly come up with a system to find them and get in touch before they disappeared. It wasn’t the time to contact them though and they wouldn’t help out the people searching by looking themselves and letting them follow their lead. The whole club must be under surveillance by this point and him, Digger and King in particular.

With this new bounty incentive, they couldn’t just concentrate on Riot anymore. They’d have to widen their focus to all the fucking scum that would do a job like this. It was highly likely that Dane had outsourced to other men as Riot had made an utter fuck up of their part. They’d pried a few names out of Track but knew they still didn’t have them all.

Track said he’d been delivering something to Dane’s office for him. He assumed it was paperwork and was given strict instructions not to open whatever it was. Bones suspected it was photos and at least up-to-date information on where Bianca was. Of course, it could just be paperwork as its not safe for him to physically go to the office.

His palms itched to get his hands on this slippery fucker. This was one of the situations where cutting the head of the snake would solve nearly everything. From what they could tell Dane wasn’t affiliated with any groups or gangs, he merely hires them and maybe does small jobs for them himself, likely money laundering. If they kill him, the people after Bianca will stop because there would be no reward for their actions anymore.

The names Track had given were being researched now by Slam. As soon as he told them which one would be most worth questioning, they’d bring the bastards in. Seeing Bianca’s tears was killing him inside. He couldn’t imagine how pissed he would be if one of the club brothers was hidden and there was no way to check on them. He shuddered to think what he would do if it was Digger, King or Bianca. The world would burn until they were back in his arms.

The brothers were all riding out tomorrow for a three-day deal. They couldn’t get out of it. Prez was adamant that they go. Hell, even Duke was going and Nicole was on bed rest now, the triplets due in just a couple of weeks. At least with Duke going he knew there’d be no fucking around. He’d want to get back as quick as they did. Slam was staying behind and the club was going on lockdown. Slam was to be the only man in or out. Thank fuck Bianca liked him.

When they’d told her a few days ago about them leaving, she’d accepted it yet was a bit apprehensive of being in the club without them for so long. They had nowhere else to put her where she’d be safe and the clubhouse itself was like a fortress. She’d have Shel and Jewel for company and they’d suggested she keep Nicole company as well. They couldn’t stop laughing when Duke overheard and started listing rules that Nicole had to follow, then he stormed off to write them down when he realised no one was paying attention.

“That shit’s going to be laminated and stuck on the door with a checklist before he leaves here,” Razor mocked his brother. “Poor Nic. Bitch can’t move an inch without Duke flapping around like a demented seagull.”

He smiled to himself as he recalled Bianca spitting her drink out and jumping up from her seat when Razor said that. She sprinted to the toilet, laughing saying, “I’m gonna pee!”

Bringing himself back to the present, he pulled Bianca around to face him.

“We’ll be back before you know it, beauty. Then there are only one day runs planned for a few months so we won’t be away from you for long. Construction starts on the houses next week. Ours is one of the first being built so we’ll take you see the progress in a few weeks,” he said, trying to take her mind off the crap that was bothering her.

Her smile was back and his heart settled in his chest. All was right in his world as long as she was smiling.

King

Three days later...

There wasn’t much King loved more than riding side by side with Digger, Bones and the rest of the brothers. The smell of gas, leather and exhaust fumes whirled around him and the loud rumble from their tailpipes let everyone know for miles that Fallen MC was on the move. He loved seeing the awe in little kid’s faces as they stood transfixed on the sight of them riding past, while their mother’s are trying to drag them away or cover their eyes.

The last three days had been easier than they were anticipating. The deal had gone down with zero complications and now they were nearly back at the compound. They had given Bianca a burner phone with just their numbers programmed into it. They couldn’t go three days with no contact, they’d have missed her too much. She always got a bit weepy when they said they loved her so they made sure to leave her giggling.

They’d heard from Hollywood and Prez that she’s spent one night in the bar getting wrecked with Shel and Jewel. When they’d asked her about it she couldn’t remember much of the night, which they assured her meant she had a good time. They’d have a decent drink when they got back, then spend hours appreciating Bianca’s curves and her tight, pretty pussy.

The whole dynamic of their relationship had changed since she came into their lives and they all agreed it was for the better. Bianca brought a softness, that wasn’t just physical, that they’d never experienced before and it was as if she’d enabled them to be even closer with each other too.

They pulled up in front of the compound gates and watched as the gate shuddered and jolted it’s way open. That wasn’t fucking normal. He saw Prez and Duke pointing at something that he couldn’t see as he was too far back. It took a couple of minutes but the gate eventually opened wide enough for them to ride through.

He looked towards the clubhouse door and saw a happy Bianca, smiling and bouncing in place. They climbed off their bikes and stowed their helmets. Bianca had just put a foot outside when the sound of a single gunshot split the air. Everything seemed to speed up as all the brother’s dove for cover and grabbed for their own guns. Bianca had disappeared from the door and he briefly saw Shel pulling her further into the bar. She was safe. He could concentrate now.

His eyes focused on the surrounding walls as more gunfire started. He fired at the smallest movement and was sure he’d tagged someone. Prez was shouting orders and he, Digger and Bones were to focus on the roof and top of the wall. Digger must have spotted something he missed as he unloaded a full clip at the roof. A body rolled off shortly after and hit the yard, staining the stones with blood. His teeth gritted as he saw that fucking ugly Riot patch staring back at him from the body.

So, these fuckers were here for Bianca or as revenge for Fallen decimating their fucked up club weeks ago when they kidnapped Nicole. Either way, they’d be paying with their lives. After another minute or so, the firing stopped. They slowly stood from their positions, cautious in case they had missed anyone. He saw Cobra and another prospect, Drill, being carried into the club. He could tell they were injured but not seriously. Thank fuck. The only casualties were from Riot.

He saw three bodies not moving, surrounded by a pool of blood that they wouldn’t be walking away from. A heavy hand grasped his shoulder. Digger was looking at him with part turmoil and part relief. Bianca could have been hurt if she’d stepped out of the club a second earlier. If this whole thing was about Bianca, Dane was really stepping up his plan to get hold of her. They’d dodged this bullet – well several in fact. For once it seemed there was some fucking luck on their side.

They moved together from behind the car which had protected them and saw a fair few bullet holes in it now. The gate was shuddering open again.

“Come on. Let’s get this shit sorted. I wanna get inside and see our old lady,” Bones ground out while reloading his gun.

They followed Duke and Hollywood out of the gates and saw four injured men propped up and one speaking frantically into a cell phone. King felt himself smile. Stupid fucker knew he’d been caught and hadn’t destroyed his phone. That’d prove useful. King loved seeing the guy’s eyes widen as they marched towards him. Whatever he was saying into the phone he couldn’t hear, his ears were still ringing from the gunfire.

He threw himself forward and pummelled the bastard in the face. His teeth cut into the knuckles on his right hand. Blood was steadily pumping from a wound on the guy’s thigh. Bones pocketed the phone and then removed the guys belt.

“I’ll be taking your belt. No fucking way am I getting your rancid blood on mine,” he mocked.

He then wrapped it around the top of his thigh creating a shitty tourniquet. It’d do for now though. They needed him conscious for questioning and it wouldn’t do to have him bleed out too quickly.

He and Digger hooked under his arms and dragged him into the compound and then into a free outhouse. He was relieved to see that they had a total of four Riot brothers to interrogate. It would also mean there would be four less Riot brothers alive by the end of the day. His punch must have been harder than he thought as this guy wasn’t talking, but kept shaking his head and twitching like he’d knocked his brains loose.

He and Digger held him still as Bones restrained him with chains and cable ties. He hadn’t recognised any of the Riot members so far. Prez would know who were the most senior or longest standing members. They’d be the ones they concentrated on. For now, they needed to get to Bianca. He knew she’d be frightened and needed to see they were all unharmed.

They were just crossing the yard when an ambulance pulled up right next to the club door. Shit, someone must have been seriously hurt. He hadn’t noticed anyone other than Cobra and Drill be hit. They jogged towards the door to be met by a feminine wail and scream. They each looked at each other, panicked and raced inside. Had someone got inside and hurt Bianca?

They were about to sprint into the hallway when Razor and Slam marched towards them followed by a pale Duke who was clinging to Nicole’s hand. It took him a couple of seconds to register what the fuck had happened, but as a paramedic passed them with a small, wailing bundle in his arms, he knew Nic was having the babies.

She was wheeled into the bar on a stretcher. King was just about to wish her luck when they stopped right in front of them. He instinctively took a few steps back as Nic started wailing like a banshee. He could feel Bones and Digger stood by his side, unmoving like him. One more scream ripped from Nicole and they saw a stream of something hit the floor at the bottom end of the stretcher. It looked like a combination of blood and mucus. His stomach rolled but then a small noise pierced the pandemonium and a paramedic with what had to be the worst view in the world, briefly held up a squawking, wriggling baby.

His eyes followed them out of the door. Purely focused on the small new person, now swaddled in Duke’s arms.

“Holy shit.”

He felt frozen to the spot; a baby had just been born in the club bar. He was sure more than one must have been conceived here but there sure as fuck had never been one born here. The world clicked back into focus when he saw Jewel and Shel wrestling a mountain of bags through the bar. They raced forward and relieved them of the weight.

“Thanks guys,” Shel puffed out, “Just pile them in my car please.”

Jewel hadn’t said anything and was looking kind of green.

“You alright there, Jewel?” he asked while rubbing her back.

Shel looked like she was desperately trying to hold in a laugh.

“Yeah…I think…what?”

Her glazed over eyes looked at him for a moment before she was swept up into Hollywood’s arms. Fuck, what had jewel witnessed that had her almost catatonic. He had a feeling birth wasn’t quite as beautiful as he had pictured it.

The yard finally cleared. They stepped back into the clubhouse and two seconds later his arms were filled with Bianca’s familiar weight, her blonde hair obscuring his vision.

“Hey, beauty.”

Her body was shaking so he pulled her tighter into him. He saw she’d grabbed onto Bones and Digger too. Shit, it was like a flashback to the day they found her.
