Chapter 4 - Hudson

I remembered coming to the rescue of a woman who was bold enough to take my photo. It didn’t deter her that I was trying to shield my identity. Lexi still had that spunk. I felt a little drained. I opened my eyes and saw a ceiling fan above me working with a speed that conjured a nice little breeze which had me breathing a sigh of contentment. A couch. I was on a couch in a nicely sized room.

I tried to sit up, but a hand pressed down on my chest.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to move just yet. The knife that you took off my assailant went in about an inch deep. I’m sure that some of my neighbors will have some interesting looks to give me in the morning. I’m surprised nobody called security. You were quite vocal about me cleaning it up. Made it sound like I was torturing you for information or something.” She smiled down at me. A blonde guardian angel.

I didn’t remember any of that and I was glad that passing out had given me a reprieve from the pain. My adrenaline was running high at the time and I didn’t even notice that I was injured.

"No good deed goes unpunished.” I laughed but that quickly turned to a choke from the pain. My side was throbbing.

“Take it easy,” she whispered, eyes full of concern.

I must have been half out of my mind, because the next thing I said was, “You have a light about you. Don’t see that very often around here. I admit, I’m more comfortable in the dark. The light blinds me and makes me want to scurry back into the shadows. But thank you for helping me, and for letting me stay here, Lexi. It’s really good to see you.”

Her hand was still on my chest. Her fingernails lightly scratched back and forth. The sensation felt good.

“I used some alcohol from the mini fridge to sterilize the wound. I always carry a thread and needle with me, but those homemade stitches are going to need to be looked at by a consummate medical professional.” She knew her way around more than just the camera.

I saw an eerie red glow coming from the bathroom across the hall. She had turned it into a makeshift developing room. The photos were hanging, waiting to reveal the truth. I had to give her credit for her ingenuity.

“You not only have an eye for detail, but you also know your way around the human body. Nice job stitching me up. Not everyone would’ve been able to pull that off. If I were to make an educated guess, I’d say you’ve had some medical training.”

My eyes seemed to have a mind of their own as they fixated on her t-shirt. It was obvious that she wasn’t wearing a bra. How could I not look? Her breasts were magnificent and seemed to be staring at me through the thin material that was covering them. They were calling to a certain part of my anatomy, that’s for sure – let me out, let me out - and I was struggling to focus elsewhere, but she was breathtaking. She had this casual approach to fashion that was not the norm.

“I was a paramedic for about a year and then I was called to a scene that changed everything for me. My sister. She was at a friend’s house and they had called it in. I found her, just lying there on their floor. I tried to stabilize her, but it was to no avail. It was awful. I couldn’t help. Nothing I did helped. The doctor said there wasn’t anything that I could do. She wasn’t even aware of the tumor inside her head, none of us were, they found it later during the autopsy. It had burst and her death was almost instantaneous. From that moment on, my other sister and I swore that we would never let a day go by without doing something that we love. That we won’t waste a minute of this precious life. We won’t take any moment for granted or let an opportunity slip by. I was never much into medicine, though, even if I did seem to have a knack for it. The hospital staff was sorry to see me go. They asked me to come back a few times, but I just couldn’t do it.”

There were layers to her that surprised me. She was even stronger than I remembered.

“I’m so sorry about your sister. I had no idea, Lexi”—I squeezed her hand—“That’s terrible. Terrible that it happened and terrible that you had to go through it. I am so, so sorry. I know how close you were.”

“Thank you, Hudson. But, enough about me. What about you?” She still had her hand on my bare chest.

“Me? Let’s just say, I’m not the part that I play. I can’t tell you much more than that, though.”

“Yeah, I figured. At first glance, I thought something awful must have happened. But now that I’ve gotten a closer look, I can see that other than your messy hair, you’re very clean, and you smell good, too. And now that the baggy clothes are off, I can see that you still work out on a regular basis. You… are… very fit. Some things don’t change, huh?” She looked down, just beyond her hand, at my bellybutton, her eyes following the trail of hair that led under the waistband of my pants.

“I can’t tell you much. I’m sorry. It’s for your own good. All I can say is that it’s part of my job. Not many people see me with my clothes off, so I hope my secret is safe with you. I haven’t had anybody touch me like this in a long time, Lexi. In such a caring way. It feels nice.”

She tried to pull her hand away, but I grabbed her by the wrist and placed her hand back on my chest.

“Can you feel that? Can you feel my heart beating out of my chest right now?” I felt my breathing getting heavier like I was about to run a marathon. Her gaze kept going from my eyes, to my chest, to my waistband. It was bringing me back. A lot of time had gone by, but I felt like I was 18 all over again.

She shook her head. “I’m sorry. You obviously have a lot going on. It’s easy to get caught up in the moment. In memories, too. It feels like just yesterday we were in my bedroom, playing around, laughing, and having fun. It was nice, wasn’t it? Living life and each day to the fullest? But here we are, a million years later, and not the same people that we were.”

“It is nice,” I paused trying to find the right words to convey my thoughts. “I feel something, Lexi. I’m sorry, but I do. I’m not even sure what it is. You’re obviously a little bit curious about me and my life now, and there’s no reason to live with regrets. You just finished telling me that you strive to live for the moment. Do you think we’re right here, right now, because we’re supposed to be? Or do you think it’s all just a coincidence?”

She didn’t say anything for a few minutes, but I could see that her chest was heaving and that her breathing was becoming more apparent, faster. I could sense that she was feeling the same way I was, but she wasn’t quite ready to admit it. Hopefully, I wasn’t feeling what I was feeling just because she was sitting so close to me, braless.

“I don’t know why you’re looking at me like that. I do try to live more for the moment, but I don’t go around grabbing every guy I can. We’ve just had a crazy afternoon. I feel...vulnerable. From being attacked. From being saved. And here we are alone in a hotel room. And—and all these first memories are coming back. And your shirt is off. And your chest and abs are rock hard. And you smell so. Damn. Good.” She inhaled, fluttering her eyes closed before steadying her gaze on me again. “But that is all that is happening right now.” She grinned, knowing how ridiculous she sounded.

“Damn, beautiful girl, I need you. Unless you’re seeing someone, of course.” I hoped to God she wasn’t seeing someone. I moved her hair away from her face as she looked down at me. “You’re right, though, being here with you feels like no time has passed between us. And here we are alone in a hotel room, and a lot of memories are coming back, and your bra is off, and your breasts are still as beautiful as ever, and you smell so damn good, and I am rock hard for you.”

She held back a smile. “First, no, I’m not seeing anyone. And second, how do you know I’m not wearing a bra? Have you been looking?”

“Are you kidding me? I can see right through that thin thing you call a shirt and it’s driving me absolutely mad.”

She leaned back and gave me a long look, a confident smirk on her face. She slowly took off her outer shirt and placed it on the ground. Then, she slowly lifted her t-shirt like she was going to remove it, but didn’t. I got a glimpse of the underside of her rounded and beautiful bosom, but she wasn’t quite ready to take her shirt off just yet. So close though.

“Ah, still a shy girl, huh?” I smiled up at her. Her hardened nipples were clearly visible through the fine silk-like material. “That shirt’s so thin that I can see every little detail anyway, so you might as well just take it off.”

“I’m not taking my shirt off. And you can’t see anything.” She pushed her chest out trying to see for herself.

Holy shit, she was more perfect than I had remembered. She had definitely filled out since high school and in all the right places.

“I can see every bit of you.” I put my hands on her waist and hoisted her up so that her chest was practically in my face. I gritted my teeth at the strain, but held the discomfort from my injury in. “Let me at least get a better look, then.”

She didn’t resist so I nuzzled in and slowly moved my face around her chest. She smelled so good. Like vanilla and spice and everything nice. “How long have you had this flimsy shirt, anyway? It’s almost like you’re not wearing anything at all. This is definitely not appropriate attire to wear out in public, young lady.”

“Mmmmm,” she moaned as I began licking and sucking on her nipples through the now transparent material.

“Don’t take it off, then. That’s fine.” I savored every moment she allowed me, and by the time she reached down to take off her shirt, it almost looked like she’d been a contestant in a wet t-shirt contest. God help me, she was so sexy.

Lexi crossed her arms and lifted her shirt over her head, exposing her nakedness from the waist up. The way she breathed with anticipation caused her breasts to rise and fall more and more rapidly.

Even my own voice sounded ragged with excitement, “I thought you weren’t going to take your shirt off, but I’m suitably impressed. I must admit that I forgot what it was like—how nice it is to have you undress for me. You’re a gift, that’s for sure.”

“You have to be careful what you ask for, Mr. Randle. You may just get more than you bargained for.” Her hand moved down to the expanding problem between my legs.

“Mmm, I’ll never forget the first time you undid my jeans. I think you had just turned 17. I was 18. You were so sweet and innocent, and I was trying so hard to be patient. When you finally dared to touch me there, there was no stopping you afterward. It was like you were addicted to it”—I squirmed trying to adjust myself—“and now here we are, little Miss Lexi. Now, take off your jeans for me.”

She leaned back on the other end of the couch and unbuttoned her pants. As she lifted her bum up and shimmied out of them I couldn’t help but notice the wet patch of desire on her panties. They were a dainty piece of blue material with fabric that I could easily rip with my teeth if given the chance.

“I like the way that you look at me, Hudson,” she said in a breathy voice. “You know I’ve always been a bit shy and somewhat uncomfortable in my own skin. I think that you want to touch me, though. You’re just waiting for the right opportunity. Am I right? Do you want to touch me, Hudson?”

I licked my lips, nodding. “I’ve never wanted anything so much in my life.”

My shirt was already off and the two scars from the bullets that had almost taken my life were easily recognizable for a girl who had been through medical training. I was worried she might be turned off by them or wonder if I had turned into some kind of criminal. But that wasn’t Lexi. Instead, she took my hands and placed them on her breasts.

She sat down on my lap and fumbled with my pants. She found the zipper and reached in to grab the naked flesh with no underwear to deter her. I liked the way it felt—her fingers wrapped around me in a tight embrace. It was a good reminder that going commando wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

“I hope you don’t mind, but I need to see if this thing is how I remember it.” She fell face first towards my lap.

“Be careful, you might just get addicted again.”

“Oh baby, if it’s how I remember, you must have all the ladies swooning after you.”

She was a carefree, independent young woman—smart, intelligent, funny and drop-dead gorgeous. Why in the hell had I let her go? I was an idiot.

“Not many ladies compare to you, Lexi. I’ve thought about you over the years. You’ve always been different, even way back then I knew it. I can see the hunger burning in your eyes. There was always this feeling of uncontrollable desire whenever you were around. And you were never afraid to show it. I know we’ve changed, but I want you again so badly. I want to satisfy you. It’s more than just sex. You showed me compassion on the street before you even recognized me. I haven’t felt this sort of affection for a very long time. Let me make love to you again, Lexi.”

I enjoyed the way she bit her bottom lip with that impulse of need. She drew me from the confines of my pants.

“I have this...this overwhelming need to touch you. I feel like I can’t keep my hands off you,” she uttered in fascination. “Do you remember all the times I’d accidentally grab for you in front of our parents? Out of need or habit? To be honest, I want to do more than just touch you right now, but maybe I’ll let your imagination fill in the blanks.”

I gave a thrust of my hips insinuating that she could do as she pleases with me. As I thrust again, she squealed. She was watching with her eyes and soon followed with her hands.

Her nipples were so hard they looked like they could cut through glass. I leaned up, grimacing with pain but knew full well that it was going to be worth it. I continued to caress her chest tenderly, focusing all my attention there.

“I can’t believe we’re here doing this, but it feels right. So right,” she whimpered, grinding her wet panties up and down my length.

I groaned in pleasure. The pain was tolerable this way. I wanted to hear her cries of ecstasy, see her whole body trembling under my touch. My lips consumed hers, hips thrusting as she moved across my length.

“You’ve got five seconds to stop that before I lose my mind,” she panted. “There’s no telling what I’ll do. I can’t be held responsible, Hudson. I don’t give myself this freely to others. You know that right?”

“Like I said, some things never change. Yes, I know.”

The heat from her burned me in just the right way. She slapped her hands down onto my chest, hard enough to make me fall back with a groan of discomfort, but I really didn’t mind.

Her eyes were dilated with pleasure and I could tell from the way her mouth parted that her scream wasn’t too far off. She let it go and didn’t hold back.

“Wow, did you just…? I forgot how easy it is for you, even with your panties still on. Come here.” I flipped her over, body beneath mine and kissed her. Lightly at first, then more insistent. I couldn’t get enough of her.

“I wonder what it will be like watching you do that again, while I’m deep inside you,” I whispered against the shell of her ear, feeling her quake against me.

“Let’s find out,” she breathed, darting her tongue in my mouth to kiss me harder.

“So good, baby. I know you need a second. Relax, take your time, catch your breath. I’ve got all day and you had me from the moment I saw you. I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. It was hard seeing you this morning, to be that close to you again, and not be able to show you the real man underneath.”

I had to be careful and not give away too much information in the heat of the moment. She couldn’t know about my life. And I didn’t like anyone knowing about the kind of money I possessed. Not even Julian knew. He had no idea that I didn’t have to worry about where my next paycheck was coming from.

The ten grand that I owed was a drop in the bucket. I had convinced myself not to use the trust fund I received from my father’s estate, but it was there if I really needed it. He was a cruel man with a firm hand. He believed in the adage, Spare the rod, Spoil the child. I wore those scars every day and it gave me some comfort knowing that in his old age, his mind deteriorating by the minute, he couldn’t physically abuse me anymore.

“When I saw you this morning, I never thought we’d be here, doing this.” She pushed her pelvis in towards me in a circular motion. “It’s great to be back in your arms, Hudson. Please, give me more.”

I slowly slid her panties down around her ankles and flung them to the side. She instantly spread her legs allowing me access to her wet, hungry spot. I teased her while I watched her squirm with anticipation.

“Please, Hudson. Please.”

I slowly pushed myself into her, giving her body the time it needed to stretch out and accept all of me.

“Holy shit, I forgot how tight you are. Damn, girl. What the hell? You feel so good. Please say you’re staying in town for a while.” I enjoyed watching her in the throes of passion as I buried myself deeper and deeper.

She moaned and grabbed my hips trying to control my penetration, letting her passionate self come alive. Here was the girl I remembered. She was a natural at sex. If that was a thing, she was it. She liked it and wasn’t afraid to hold back. Damn, this day was going way better than I had expected it to.

As we finished and held each other, Lexi started to giggle. “Well, that just happened. And it was amazing.”

I nodded, humming in satisfaction. “It’s so good to feel you again. You’ve still got it, girl. Damn, I’ve missed you. I feel that I owe you some kind of explanation, though.” I’m not sure that she was even aware, but her hand was still caressing me, and it felt good.

“I’ve always had a weakness for you,” I continued. “It’s hard to say exactly what it is about you, but whatever it is, now that I have you here after all these years, I’m not quite through with you just yet.”
