Soul: A Bad Boy Biker Romance (New Devils MC Book 4) by Jade Kuzma (14)

Chapter 14

EZRA

“Woo!”

Lacey pounded a shot of whiskey down like it was water without even flinching. She stuck her tongue out at me, her face the picture of a broad who was clearly letting the liquor get to her.

“Having fun?” I said.

“Oh, I’m doing more than that. Why? Am I ruining the mood for you?”

I grabbed my own shot and swallowed it down. I smacked my lips and shook my head at her.

“I don’t think you could do that even if you tried,” I replied.

I’d heard about Finn’s. Forgot where I picked up the details. They said it was a wild place. That was what you’d expect from a bar where nearly every MC in the whole town came to hang out. And from the looks of things, every MC was out here tonight.

I could tell something was happening before we even stepped inside. All of the rides parked out front were enough to know that Finn’s was the spot in Ivory.

Bikers in every corner. Guys from every club rubbing shoulders. They looked like they were about to get into some shit even if they weren’t drunk. All of the conversations were loud and obnoxious but somehow, everybody seemed to be minding their own business in their own little bubbles at the same time. It was a sort of unwritten respect that everybody had for each other.

Then there were the women. Dames with their asses hanging out and their tits on full display with how small their tops were. These bitches looked like they were desperate to get some cock into them and not a single one of them was ashamed of it. Compared to them, Lacey looked like more of an angel than she already was.

We stood next to the bar together as we observed the scene. She leaned close to me, pressing her chest against my arm and resting her head on my shoulder.

“Looks like you’re getting some attention,” she said. “Must be the suit.”

“Or the watch. Or maybe the fact that I know how to use a razor.”

“We can go somewhere else if you want—”

“We’re not going anywhere. This is the perfect place to celebrate. Don’t worry. Just because a few motherfuckers are giving me the stink eye doesn’t mean they’re going to try anything. Assholes act tough when they’ve got their whole club around them but most of them will avoid getting it if they can.”

“Is that right?”

Lacey raised her head and looked up at me.

“You know a thing or two about motorcycle clubs?” she asked.

“I know a thing… or two.”

“There aren’t many clubs in the city. It seems like Ivory is infested with them.”

Infested isn’t the word I would use. It’s a different culture out here. Just something you have to get used to if you live out here.”

“Well, it doesn’t matter to me…”

She moved in front of me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

“…You’ve got the spot. I’ll be working for you. Nothing is going to ruin our celebration.”

Lacey smirked at me. That seductive grin would’ve made any man bust right on the spot. It didn’t help that she was rubbing up against me, her soft tits pressed against my chest. Even with all of the liquor and smoke in the bar, her flowery scent overpowered it all. She was fucking intoxicating and the look in her eyes told me that she knew it.

She reached around me and grabbed another shot glass from the bar then swallowed it down. The liquor in her became more apparent from her glossy-eyed stare.

I chuckled and shook my head at her.

“What’s so funny?” she said, an eyebrow arched but still as hot as she always was.

“You’re drunk.”

“I’m not drunk!” she raised her voice quickly. “I’m… I’m just a little tipsy, that’s all.”

“You know that shit is only gonna get worse.”

“Why are you talking to me like that? Are you my dad?”

“No… I’m just trying to look out for you. A woman gets drunk, especially in a place like this… A guy might be looking to take advantage of you…”

“Is that right?”

“Yeah, that’s right.”

“Well…”

She leaned in close to me. Her hands tight around my neck, she pulled me close and whispered into my ear.

“I want you to take advantage of me. I want you to do whatever you want to do.”

Her breath was warm on my skin. She licked my ear and kissed it to make sure that I heard her even over the noisy crowd.

I couldn’t look her in the eye but she was holding onto me so tight that I didn’t need to. All I needed was for her to listen.

“You don’t want me to do whatever I want,” I whispered back.

“I do.”

“What if I wanted to take you from behind and force you against the wall?”

“I’d take it.”

“What if I put my hands on your ass and slapped you so hard you’d be sore for weeks?”

“Mmm… I’d enjoy having the pain to remind you of what I did.”

“What if I took my big… hard… cock… and just shoved it right up your ass? What would you do, Lacey?”

She put her lips back on my cheek and kissed me, trailing her tongue toward my ear.

“I’d love it.”

My cock was already stiff enough. But damn if she wasn’t making me even harder. She put her knee between my legs and started rubbing as if she was double-checking to make sure what she’d done.

“It looks like you’d love it, too,” she whispered.

She pulled away and stared at me. That stare of hers. Brown eyes so hypnotizing that I forgot who I was. Just a being fortunate enough to be in front of a goddess and serve.

But I would never let a woman take that kind of control of me. Not when I knew she was getting as drunk as Lacey was.

I smirked and shook my head at her.

“Don’t say things you don’t mean,” I said.

“Oh, I mean it. You can do whatever you want…”

She leaned back and turned around. Her eyes shifted toward the floor in the center of the bar.

“Come on,” she said as she took my hand. “I wanna dance.”

Her words slurred a little and I got a chuckle out of it.

“And don’t give me shit about you not being a dancer. Every guy uses that line.”

She took my hand in hers and tugged me out to the middle of the floor. I didn’t bother trying to resist. This was a celebration and we were only just getting started.

No doubt I was drawing more attention to myself. An asshole in a suit surrounded by bikers with their old ladies. Everybody minded their own business though while Lacey wrapped her arms back around my neck. I put my hands on her waist and pulled her close to me so she could feel just how hard I was.

Eyes still glossy. Lips full. Skin pale but cheeks red. Lacey hadn’t stopped being gorgeous even though she was getting drunker by the second.

I couldn’t help myself.

I leaned forward and kissed her. My tongue swirled in her mouth, tasting the whiskey on her breath. Lacey was aggressive. She wrapped her lips around my tongue and sucked on it like she was trying to swallow me whole. I squeezed my arms around her and pulled her close to make sure that she could taste all of me.

Damn…

I didn’t give a fuck who was staring now. Even if the entire club was watching us make out, I wouldn’t have stopped. Being this close to Lacey felt too fucking good.

A sudden bump against me interrupted our moment together.

“Hey!”

I jerked my head back and turned to the punk that interrupted us.

“Watch where you’re moving,” the biker said.

The asshole didn’t look like much. Some bald motherfucker in a kutte like all the rest of them.

I looked him up and down and sized him up. I would’ve thought twice about starting shit with a man in the middle of a bar where his club was probably hiding in some corner. Must’ve been the alcohol.

“How about you watch where you’re moving, asshole,” I responded.

“Ezra—”

Lacey tried to interrupt me but I put a hand up and gently moved her aside. The asshole took a step toward me. Even with how angry he was, I wasn’t intimidated.

“I’ll give you one chance,” he said. “Apologize right now or I’ll take you outside and punch a hole in your skull.”

“I’d like to see you try,” I responded.

He started moving back, cracking his knuckles in his hands as he did.

“Oh, this’ll be fun,” he said. “Boys! I’ve got some business to take care of.”

I looked around and saw a group of bikers that he’d gotten the attention. Every single one of them looked pissed.

“Step outside,” the punk said. “We’ll see who’s talking shit then.”

He headed toward the entrance along with the rest of his club. There were about six of them in total but not enough to intimidate me.

I didn’t hesitate as I started walking after him.

“Ezra!”

I almost forgot that Lacey was there with me. She had both hands on my arm as she tried to pull me back.

“What are you doing?” she said, her voice suddenly more sober than it was a few minutes ago.

“I’m taking care of some business.”

“You’re not really gonna fight that guy and his whole club, are you?”

“He interrupted our kiss. I can’t let him get away with that.”

I put my hands on her face and kissed her deeply before heading toward the exit.

The night air was cool and crisp when I stepped outside. It was a nice relief from all of the smoke inside Finn’s.

The biker who was about to get his ass kicked stood in the parking lot with the rest of his club right behind him.

“Come on, pretty boy,” he said. “Let’s get this shit over with.”

I took my jacket off and handed it to Lacey. She didn’t protest even though there was some concern in her eyes. I rolled my sleeves up and the asshole biker rolled his eyes.

“I ain’t got all night!” he shouted. “There’s a beer with my name on it inside there.”

“All right,” I said. “I’m ready—”

He yelled as he charged right at me. The motherfucker tried to catch me when I wasn’t ready but he was too slow.

I raised my fist up and cracked him right in the jaw. He was rushing at me, so I didn’t even need to do much. For him, it was like crashing into a wall.

I rocked his head back and he fell back onto the pavement. His eyes were closed and some blood came from his mouth.

I turned to Lacey and smiled.

“There we are,” I said. “See—”

“Get him!”

“Look out!”

Lacey shouted just as the rest of the MC charged at me.

Shit.

I put my fists back up and got ready for the other motherfuckers trying to take me down. Being outnumbered was never a good thing but when the assholes didn’t know how to fight, it didn’t matter.

I backed up to make sure that they couldn’t get to me. I kept moving around while they all stumbled trying to tackle me. I threw my fists and they did the same. Eventually, they managed to surround me completely.

“Hold him down!”

“Beat the shit out of him!”

They all had their hands on me. I was waiting for them to do something but just before any of them could throw another punch, one of them suddenly fell to the floor. Another brawl had broken out as they let me go.

I immediately recognized one of the men then the rest of them.

“Sebastian?” I said.

He clocked one of the men and knocked him out then gave me a smirk.

“Devils,” he said. “At your service.”

I helped Sebastian and the rest of the Devils take care of the club until they were all laid out on the pavement, groaning in pain. With all of the commotion over, I took a deep breath and started to relax.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I said.

“What are you talking about?” Sebastian said. “This was what you wanted, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, but… Wait… Are you following me?”

“What’s security if we don’t know where the fuck you are?”

I looked at the man standing next to Sebastian. He wasn’t in the earlier meeting but he still looked familiar. I narrowed my eyes at him while I tried to figure it out.

“Do I know you from somewhere?” I said.

“Mercy,” Sebastian said. “Every club needs an enforcer.”

Mercy raised his eyebrows at me. The motherfucker was big enough that nobody probably fucked with him. Along with Roman and Hunter, the Devils seemed more than capable of doing the job they just did.

“Thanks,” I said. “Punks like these guys weren’t exactly what I had in mind when I was talking to you.”

“Ezra.”

Lacey’s voice interrupted me. She stood there, my jacket tight in her grip, her mouth half-open as she stared at me and the rest of the MC I hired.

“What… What’s going on?” she said.

“It’s nothing,” I said. “Just a little protection I hired.”

“Protection?”

“It can get a little rough around Ivory,” Sebastian said to her. “Especially in a place like Old Town.”

“We’re not in Old Town,” she said.

“But Ezra is planning on opening a business there. Nothing wrong with a little informal security while he gets everything settled.”

“…Right,” she sighed.

“Listen, Grant. You might wanna get out of here before the cops show up. Everybody that gets into a fight gets hauled off to jail for the night.”

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea,” I said.

Sebastian and the rest of his club got onto their bikes and headed off down the street.

“He’s right,” I said to Lacey. “We should probably get out of here. Maybe we can get back to what we were doing before we were interrupted.”

“I…”

Lacey looked at all of the punks on the floor who were slowly coming to.

“What’s wrong?” I said.

She sighed a deep breath and smiled at me.

“It’s been a long night,” she said. “I’ve got an early shift at the diner. Maybe I should just call it a night.”

I wanted to convince her otherwise but the look in her eyes was enough to tell me that she was drained. I wasn’t about to force her to do some shit she wasn’t in the mood for. Not tonight.

“All right,” I said. “Let me take you home.”

Lacey and I could take one night off.

“I’m sure you have plans tomorrow, too,” she said.

“I’m going to finish setting things up. Everything will be ready before you know it.”

“I can’t wait to see it.”

She smiled softly. I cupped her face in my hands and gave her another deep kiss to seal the night.
