Spring's Destiny by Deausha Kristal (11)

Chapter 11

Stretching, I lift my head—Mick isn’t in here. Flopping back down, I listen to the birds outside. Feeling a light breeze, I sit up. Looking over at the doors, they are open.

Tanner isn't in bed; Mick must have him. Lifting the cover off me, I swing my legs to the side sitting up. Looking down at the tattoo, I can’t believe this is all happening. I know it is because like my mom said I could remember things that I shouldn’t even know. It is amazing. It’s not tender anymore. I need to ask Mick why I have it and what it means.

Getting into the shower, I can’t believe all that has happened it’s almost like a dream. But at the same time, I know what I need do. I have to start training. Finishing up, I get out of the shower and wrap up in two towels. Drying off, I get dressed. The jeans fit me like a glove and lay low on my hips. After putting my shirt on, you can see part of my tattoo, if you look closely enough, you can see almost all of it. My t-shirt is so thin you can make out my bra as well. Unwrapping my hair, I brush it out and blow dry it, leaving it down I put some makeup on and head out to put my socks on.

As I look at the bed, there is blood all over the sheets. Shaking my head, I toss all the pillows off and strip the bed. Grabbing a fresh set, I go about making the bed. I pick up the soiled ones and put them in the basket. Grabbing it, I open the door and head out. Walking down the hall, I can hear raised voices. Not stopping, I walk down the stairs looking around the great room, but no one is in here. They must be in the kitchen. Great, I have to go through there to get to the laundry room. Squaring my shoulders, I walk in, and all the talking stops at once, and all eyes are on me. As I glance around, two huge men plus Mick are staring at me. Their names flash in my mind and what kind of men they are. Nick and Sammy. Hmm, walking past them, I stop dead in my tracks. Turning slightly over my shoulder.

“Quit checking out my ass, Nick,” I say, walking the rest of the way into the laundry room.

“What the hell, how did she see me checking out her ass?” Nick asks. Hearing someone laugh, I know it was Mick.

“Told you, Nick, she’s special and very powerful. She will have to figure out who will be her mate,” Mick says but stops. Shutting the lid of the washer, I walk back into the kitchen. Walking over to him, I lean next to him crossing my arms across my chest to keep prying eyes off my breasts.

“Who am I going to be mated to, Mick?” I ask. He gently puts his arm around me resting his hand on my hip.

“I don’t think it’s—”

Stopping him with just a look, I snap, “What the hell, I think I have a right to know, I mean I’m going to be fucking him for the rest of my life, oh wait I mean for forever.”

“Michelle, Spring, you will be mated to Michelle,” he says, running his hands through his hair. “I honestly didn’t think it would be him. He’s the most powerful archangel. I’m sorry, Spring.” Pushing away from him, now I’m pissed. I see the other two taking a few steps back from me.

“You mean that asshole that was in my dreams last night? No, hell no, He’s the most heinous guy I have ever met. Ugh.” Walking over to the doors, I head outside, walking over to the pool, I sit down at the little table. I hear the guys talking inside. Hearing steps behind me, I stiffen up.

“Hey, it’s just me, Spring,” Mick murmurs. Looking over at him, I just smile. “I’m not mating Michelle, Mick.” Hearing a throat clear, we break apart.

Seeing a cup of coffee on the table, I ask Nick, “For me?” Smiling, he nods. Sitting on the other side of us, he takes a drink of his own.

“So, are you two bonded?” he asks, looking over at us over the rim of his coffee.

“No, we’re not,” Mick says simply. He runs his hands over my back, arching because it hurts a bit. I feel him stiffen up. The pain in my back immensely intensifies. Standing, I start to pace. Mick rises, looking over at him I fall to my knees with one hand on the concrete, breathing hard.

“What the hell is wrong with my back?” I stammer. Hearing Sammy coming out the door the others rush over bending down.

“Don’t touch me!” I cry out. Panting, I try to catch my breath.

“Spring, I’ll be gentle we need to see what’s going on,” Nick says softly. Nodding, I let my head hang. Both hands are on the ground now. Nick gently lifts my t-shirt all the way up. Mick hisses making me jerk my head up searching his eyes. He shakes his head and doesn’t say anything. Letting out a scream, I arch my back. Gritting my teeth, I try to get through the pain and the burning.

“What the hell is going on?” I yell. Sammy puts a cold, soaked, towel on my back. Letting out the breath, I’ve been holding the pain eases up.

“You are getting wings, Spring. The tattoo is the first to show up, and they burn like hell. Once they are fully on your back it will stop hurting; then you have a few weeks before they actually come,” Nick says, he gently moves my hair out of my face.

Looking at Mick, he gives me a sad smile. “You’ll get through this, it’s almost over,” Mick says.

“Why am I getting wings? I don’t remember reading about them. And should it hurt this bad?” I pant out.

“Because there is no doubt that you are destined to be Michael’s mate, and It says that Michelle’s true mate will get wings. Parallel to him, you will be his equal in all things. Spring, believe me, you could be true mates with much worse,” Nick says.

The pain lessens so that I can sit up. “I don’t want to hear any more about that dick.” I grit out. Glancing around, I notice Sammy holding back a laugh. He sees me looking at him, and starts laughing as he is not able to hold it in. Standing up I take a couple of steps to him, he stops laughing but doesn’t back down.

“Why do you think that’s so funny?” I ask him. Pushing him into his chest, he takes a small step back; his eyes are big with shock.

“You are right, Mick, she’s strong,” he says, smirking. “I can still take you though.” He laughs. Shaking from anger, I grab his arm with my hand letting the power fill me up; I feel it move down my arm and into him. He flies six feet back and crashes into chairs and falls on the ground.

He jumps up and makes his way to me. I hear Nick tell Mick no, let’s see what happens. Shaking my head, I crouch and make ready to fight, Sammy doesn’t stop and plows right into me, knocking us both down. He throws his weight in and is on top of me faster than I can blink. Struggling, I push on his hard chest. It’s like trying to move a moose. He grabs my hands and pins them above my head. I try to move, but it’s useless. He runs his hand up my tattoo, shivering I look up into his eyes. They are completely black.

“Don’t make me hurt you, Sammy.”

I feel him laugh, as his weight comes down on top of me. I let my power start to build-up.

“Please, you are a woman, what can you possibly do?”

“I’m going to ask you one more time, to get the hell off me.”

He doesn’t move and gets a cocky grin on his face.

“Sammy, I wouldn’t if I were you,” Mick warns.

I don’t have my hands free to touch him, but there are different ways. I Relax into him, and I feel him start to relax too. Looking him in the eyes, lick my lips, his eyes dart to my mouth. He brings his lips down to mine. The kiss is gentle at first. Breaking away, I grin.

“Got ya,” I whisper.

Reaching up, I grab his hair and press our lips together. My power flows from my lips into his. I watch as his eyes go huge. His body starts to shake in pain.

Twisting, I straddle him with my fist raised. And one hand around his throat. I can’t believe I just did that. He’s enormous, and I shouldn’t be able to. He lays there seeing what I’m going to do. Slowly standing up, I keep my foot against his throat.

“Don’t ever come at me again, or I will kill you,” I growl, looking over my shoulder at the other two. I could almost laugh at the look of shock on their faces. Having enough of all this, I walk back to the house slamming the door behind me. Going to the fridge, I grab the stuff to make lunch. I’m starving, and I don’t think it’s only for food. Hearing yipping, I look down, Tanner is jumping at my legs. Sliding to the ground, I let him climb up on my lap. He licks my face and snuggles against me.

“Hey, boy, we have house guests. But I think you already know that” I say, laughing. I can feel what he does and that he will die to protect me. Giving him a big kiss on the nose, I get up and get him some puppy food.

Pulling out the bread, I start to make the sandwiches. “What do you want, Nick?” I say, not even turning around. I feel him come up behind me standing close. My heart flutters and my stomach clenches. I’m attracted to him. Biting my lip, I turn around, and I’m standing so close that I can feel the heat off him.

“You need to train, after lunch you and I will go train for a few hours,” he says grabbing a piece of my hair and putting it, behind my shoulder.

“Why you?” I asked, handing him a plate. Taking it, he goes over to the other side of the island and sits down.

“Because it’s what I do best, among other things,” he says while his eyebrows wiggle up and down.

Rolling my eyes, I watch the other two walk into the kitchen. Mick walks past me running his fingers across the bare skin on my back, he grabs drinks and passes them out. Everyone sits down and eats; no one is talking. So, I take this chance to look at these guys. They all could be models for underwear. Laughing to myself, I notice them all looking at me funny.

“Sorry was just thinking about something,” I say with a smile on my face. They start talking to each other, so I get up and walk to the great room. Sitting on the couch, I pull my legs up resting my chin on my knees. Mick comes walking in and sits next to me. Looking over at him, I can tell he wants or needs to tell me something.

“What is it, Mick?” I ask.

“What I’m going to tell you might be hard to hear Spring. You know we talked about the bonding, right?”

“Yes, last night,” I murmur.

“Well, you will feel just as strongly with the other guys, and that’s how it should be. Go with your feelings not so much with your brain. You will want to be with them, and I’m fine with it. We knew while we were young that this is how it is. No one will get mad, and it doesn’t mean you’re less of a person for wanting all of us,” he says softly.

“Are you saying that you don’t care if I sleep with them too?

“Spring, anyone that bonds with you will sleep with you, I don’t know a man here that wouldn’t want to. Spring, we will share you, all make love to you and sometimes together.”

Hearing someone clear their throat, Mick breaks the kiss.

“You ready for her, Nick?”

“Yep, I’ll meet you outside, Spring,” he says, turning walking out the door. Looking up at Mick, he slowly gets up pulling me with him. Standing, I wrap my arms around his waist. Leaning my head on his chest, he rubs his hands up and down my back.

“Have fun, see you soon, Spring,” he says kissing me on the head. Watching him walk out of the house going to talk to the other guys, I wonder why he said that. I wonder why I don’t need to bond with him.
