After the feast came the dancing and more drinking. Kerta and Dylka showed me some funky moves, but X would only stay away so long before he stole me from them to pull me into his embrace.
I briefly wondered what my life on Earth, my future in California, would look like. I could never have imagined falling in love, getting married, settling down. Life on Earth had been pretty empty, and I felt more at home here, a human among this race.
