The Captain's Baby: An Mpreg Romance by Aiden Bates, Austin Bates (17)

17

It was a beautiful day on the beach. They spent it with their friends and family, sharing memories and eating incredible food. Will wore a fitted heather grey suit with a waistcoat and tie that hugged his long, slender body. His dark curls were shiny and temporarily tamed, his big brown eyes shimmering with excitement. Logan was dying to marry him. He considered begging Will to do the ceremony early, but they were waiting, timing the moment so that the sun would set behind them as they said their vows.

Logan sat with Lisa in his arms. She wore an absolutely adorable, frilly white and pink flower girl’s dress. Tracy was Will’s groomsmaid, and would carry Lisa down the aisle with the rings, but for the moment, he was cuddling with his little girl.

Sandra had even managed to keep most of her comments to herself for the day. After fussing over Lisa’s dress and then fussing over Will’s tie and then fussing over the flower arrangements and then finally, nearly driving Will insane by fussing over the food, she had settled down and was busy chatting to anyone who would listen about just how beautiful and sweet her granddaughter was and how lovely and serene she found New Zealand. Logan didn’t mind. Families were families, and their family had found strength in its differences.

He was so happy to have one again.

“Logan,” Will said, holding up a camera. He took a picture of him holding Lisa, cuddling their pink-cheeked daughter in her many layered dress.

Logan smiled, and then handed her to Will and took the camera, himself. Tracy leaned into the picture as well, a picture in her rosy pink dress, and afterward, she took a picture of the three of them together. Logan cuddled up to Will, kissing his cheek, Lisa smiling between them. It was a picture they would love for years to come.

“It’s time,” Dan said, noting the position of the sun just above the horizon.

Logan smiled at Will. “Here we go,” he whispered.

Tracy took Lisa and Will went to wait inside the house with his father. Sandra had arranged the aisle to run from the back porch of the house, down over the beach, to just by the highest tide. Will’s friends and most of the town settled into their seats on the beach, dressed in airy, comfortable clothing. They weren’t even married yet, but Logan already felt like it was the perfect wedding.

Logan walked out first, Sandra on his arm in a dusty rose sundress and white sandals.

He took Sandra to her seat at the front, and then walked over to the flower-gilded wedding arch constructed by the water for them and took his place.

When he left that spot, he would be married to the love of his life.

He watched Tracy and Lisa walk out, and was nearly brought to tears. It meant so much to him to be able to have his daughter there, and for their trusted friend to be there to support them. They’d survived, and to look at where it had brought him made his heart soar with joy.

She gave him a bright smile and mouthed, ‘Good luck’, and then went to sit in her own spot with the baby.

At last, it was Will’s turn. Logan fixed his eyes on their white porch with its swing-for-two and waited, anticipation in every nerve of his being.

Will was on his father’s arm, and he placed foot in front of foot, his heart skipping beats in his chest as he walked down the aisle toward his husband-to-be. Logan looked so handsome. He had shaved cleanly, for once, and was wearing a gorgeous white tux that made his shoulders look impossibly broad and his eyes sparkle like little diamonds lived inside of them.

Their rings had diamonds. Will wasn’t sure why that went through his head as he walked up the aisle, but it did. He couldn’t wait for the rings they’d picked out, thick masculine bands with three tiny inset diamonds, to sit on their fingers. His whole engagement, he hadn’t had a ring, and he didn’t mind. Yet, in those last few seconds strolling down the aisle, he really minded that his wedding band wasn’t already on his finger.

His father walked him up to the arch, and then went and sat next to his mother. Will’s heart was thumping so hard he thought everyone else must be able to hear it, too, but he didn’t care; for once, he wasn’t self conscious. He looked into Logan’s eyes, he glanced out at their townspeople, their friends, his parents, and Tracy, his best friend with their daughter in her arms, and he knew he was ready. He wanted to be married already.

Logan went first. They’d decided it on the second day of wedding planning. Logan would say his vows, and then Will, and then they would exchange their rings and kiss. Will remembered making the plan, but suddenly it wasn’t just a plan. It was happening.

Behind them, a glowing red-orange sun began to set, lighting the ocean with rays and coloring the whole sky pink and purple. It was even better than he’d imagined it, he couldn’t have known that it would be so perfect.

“Will,” Logan said to him, gazing down at him with such love that Will felt like he might grow wings and soar into the air, just from the force of it. “You’re the love of my life, my soulmate, my omega. I’ve loved you since the day I met you, which is maybe weird, since when I met you, you were a very wet dog.”

Their witnesses laughed softly, and Will smiled, feeling himself blush a little. It felt very intimate to be up there, baring their souls for everyone to see. But Logan went on.

“Even then, Will, you were the bravest person I’d ever met. You saved our friend, Tracy. You braved the Bering Sea like no man I’ve known before you. And you faced me with that same courage, so honest and proud that I couldn’t help but fall in love, Will. And so, William Blanchard, with this ring, I swear to protect you, to support you, to care for you and stay true to you, our souls united, until the end of time.”

Logan slid the ring onto his finger. Will had been determined not to cry, but he did. He had to get through it and say his own vows, but he was fighting off those tears.

“Logan,” he whispered, and then cleared his throat, trying to make the words come out strong and confident, like he had practiced them. “I love you more than I ever thought was possible. You are my true mate, my alpha. When I was freezing in the Bering Sea, running low on hope, fate brought you to me. Of all the ships out in the storm, yours answered our call for help, and I’ve never been more grateful for that than today. In our time together I’ve seen you conquer more than most men do in their entire lifetime. You are my one and only, Logan Harris, and with this ring, I promise to protect you, support you, care for you and stay true to you, together as one, until the end of time.”

He heard applause thunder around them, and he felt more tears stream down his eyes as he wrapped his arms around his husband’s neck and kissed him passionately. He felt Logan’s strong arms around him, and he knew in his heart that they would be together forever.

* * *

Logan felt bad that they couldn’t have a proper honeymoon. They’d agreed to go on a really good vacation for their anniversary to make up for it, but Lisa was too young and the both of them had agreed that they couldn’t leave anyone with their newborn for long enough to go very far anyway.

So after all the wedding decorations were taken down, and the guests left, and the house became very still and quiet, and even their infant daughter was asleep, Logan took Will’s hand and brought him out to the beach, where the stars twinkled overhead like candlelight. Step by step, they pulled off an item of clothing, until utterly naked, they fell into the damp sand where the low tide washed gently over them.

“Will,” Logan whispered. “My husband. I’m so lucky to have you...”

Will smiled up at him, laughing softly in delight.

“Logan, we’re in the water! It’s cold!”

Logan chuckled and nuzzled against Will’s throat playfully.

“I don’t feel cold,” he purred.

He pulled Will’s legs up around him, and as he kissed his omega, his tongue exploring and claiming his husband’s mouth, he took him, sliding deep inside him.

Finally, they were married, and Logan felt his ring against his finger as he began to thrust into his husband’s tight, hot little body.

Will gasped beneath him, making the most beautiful noises for him, so sexy and desperate as he lifted his hips. They rocked in perfect unison, and Logan groaned, relieved that it wasn’t only just as good as it always had been, it was better.

“Oh, Logan,” Will moaned. “This is better than a honeymoon,” he gasped.

The water washed over them and Logan moaned in excitement. He moved with Will, working to bring his beautiful mate pleasure as he thrust.

“Will, it’s so good,” he whispered.

Will was so tight beneath him, trembling as the salty water washed over them once more. “I’m going to come,” he whispered.

Logan was shaking, too, just barely holding back.

“Together,” he told his omega, gazing down into his eyes. “Come with me.”

Just like that, Will cried out for him, his back arched in ecstasy, and Logan gasped as blinding, glowing pleasure filled his whole body and he pumped Will full of his release, clinging to him in the tide. The pleasure seemed to last forever, flowing through him endlessly, just like their love for each other would. Logan felt so happy.

“Alpha,” Will whispered adoringly in his ear.

“Omega,” Logan groaned in return, cuddling shamelessly against his husband.

“We can have another baby, can’t we?” Will asked.

“Of course,” Logan agreed.

“And more adventure?”

“Always,” Logan promised.
