The CEO's Lucky Charm: A Billionaire Novella (Players Book 6) by Stella Marie Alden (29)

Sonia

I can’t believe it’s Christmas and I’m back in New York. After passing through customs, I walk down the long hallway. Before I even exit the gated area, Kit jumps the ropes and pulls me into a giant hug.

I drop my luggage and my eyes sting as I inhale his wonderful masculine scent. All squished against his chest, for the first time in weeks, I’m truly, amazingly happy. When our lips meet, I press hard and close my eyes, needing to commit every feeling, every moment with him to memory.

Three days is such a short time.

A few people snap pictures and I could care less. I’m with him and nothing has ever felt better.

He whispers in my ear. “We should go before I fuck you right here in the airport.”

“There is a restroom.”

He laughs. “That’s my girl, but no. I have a suite nearby. Much more comfortable.”

I was serious. However, he seems determined to get me to a hotel as he grabs the handle of my bag and takes my hand in his.

He holds on, as if I might disappear, and doesn’t let go, not even while driving.

“Damn, I missed you, cherie.”

“Can you drive any faster? There’s a hotel right there, that says vacancy.”

He laughs. “In this neighborhood? I don’t think so.”

When he squeezes high up on my thigh, I’m so wet and full of desire, I almost come.

I move my hand higher on his leg. “Just hurry up, hockey-man.”

A few more agonizing minutes later, we’re in a parking lot where we first made love. I don’t wait for him to open my door, instead meet him in the front of the car. When he grabs my hand, laughing, we run to the elevator, kissing. Then, I unbutton his jacket and untuck his shirt, craving his skin.

His hand reaches around, up the back of my skirt, and squeezes my behind. The hotel room better be close because by the time we get to the third floor, I got my hand on his zipper.

With a growl, he lifts me up, my legs wrap around his waist, and he pushes me to the wall. I hear someone say ‘get a room’, and I laugh. “We’re trying.”

He only stops kissing me long enough for us to run down the hall. He swipes his card, opens the door, and he’s all over me.

Our winter coats drop to the floor, followed by my dress and his jeans. I can’t wait as I kiss him, my hands holding the back of his head, standing on tiptoes.

All of my senses ignite spontaneously as he thrusts his tongue into my mouth, his cock pressing hard into my abs. My hands reach under his shirt, palms sliding up and down his warm, muscles.

I need to feel every inch of him, he feels so damn good.

With a curse, he kicks off his shoes, drops his boxers, freeing his huge length. I reach for him but he’s already behind me, pulling down my panties and stockings, unlatching my bra.

I turn, and finally skin to skin, our naked bodies connect, his hard cock between us. My breasts tingle under his fine chest hairs as I wrap my fingers around his length.

Merde. No.” He takes my hand and pulls me to the bed.

When he feels how swollen and wet I am, he thrusts into me hard and fast.

I scream and push up to feel his core rubbing against my nub. So good, I do it again, mindlessly growing to this amazing glorious…

Oh shit. I explode, and a second later, he shouts out my name, thrusts one more time, and releases his juices into me.

There we lie, touching each other everywhere, as our heartbeats slow.

His beautiful eyes, normally light, reflect the dark bedspread. “Welcome home.”

New York is no longer my residence but I get what he’s saying. In his arms, making love to him, I have never felt more at peace.

Suddenly, my heart grows heavy. “I want more than three days, Kit.”

“I know, cherie. Me too. Give me some time to figure it out.”

The next day, at the door to a Brooklyn apartment, Kit kisses Melanie Quinn on the lips.

I might get jealous, except for the very cute baby on her hips.

CJ, her husband, apparently doesn’t feel the same and punches Kit on the shoulder.

Quickly, I hand off a rare Vodka, to make peace. “Merry Christmas.”

Attention diverted, the huge football player holds the bottle high, reading the label, “Whoa. Thank you. This is great.”

As we’re ushered into a living room, every inch covered in decorations, the doorbell rings. I hug Andy and Finn, the two men that helped me get back on my feet. Then, CJ’s mother offers me a drink. In the kitchen, I meet a sister from somewhere in the south and some more people whose names I can’t remember.

A giant turkey comes out of the oven, there’s pickles, some hideous fried onions over green beans, and way too much colored Jello. With so much wine flowing, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier, until it goes dark. Melanie lights some candles and one of her guests plays a guitar, singing a love song softly.

Oh my God.

In front of me, Kit goes down on one knee and holds up an open fuzzy box with a glittering diamond ring. “Cherie. Say you will marry me.”

Suddenly, our careers matter nothing at all as his dark eyes penetrate mine.

“Why not? Let’s do it.”

He hugs me so tight, I can’t breathe as the people in the room applaud. When champagne is poured, my heart is so light, it floats.

When I sit next to him, after much drinking, I worry. “How will we ever manage?”

Laughing, he reaches into a knapsack and sets a stack of papers in my lap. “I’ve had Andy working on it since last fall.”

“Really?” This, I admit, shocks me.

Oui, cherie. I knew, even then, that you couldn’t live without me.”

I place the papers on floor, wrap my arms around the back of his neck, and kiss him with all my might. “We can set a date?”

“As soon as my season is done we’ll marry in Canada.”

“And the US will let me live here?”

Oui. Andy’s got it all worked out. You’ll need to start signing some of these papers but tomorrow, if you please. Tonight, I have other ideas.”

I try to see into the future using the sparkling diamond as my crystal ball. After Kit has had enough of his grueling career, he plans on fathering a full hockey team. Me? I picture little girls in pink costumes with tiny figure skates. Regardless, we both see them running through the fields of Halifax, doing chores on our dairy farm, and growing up healthy and happy.

This dream, however, is still a few years down the road. We’ve talked about how there’ll be times where I can’t be with him. So, during his long-playing season, I’ll schedule professional events to make the time pass. I know this will be hard but my vision is clear. Kit Tufek is the man I’m destined to be with the rest of my life, my heart’s every desire.

My eyes water a little and I let them roll down my cheeks. Some tears are the good kind.
