Torn Apart (Delta Protectors Book 2) by Kayla Myles (12)

Chapter 12

Georgiana

Six months had passed since I first stepped foot on campus, and every day gives me a reason to be grateful that I took that first step. I had decided to pursue a degree in English Literature, and the writing center had hosted a creative outlet in the form of a contest to which I was currently focusing on.

Other than my stellar academic life, I finally had friends I could hang out with and tell stories to, classes held in an actual classroom instead of a virtual one, and a boy who I wasn’t sure how I felt about.

Rebecca had joked that my life on campus has become one of those melodramas her mother watched on TV, and despite my annoyance, I had to admit she was right on the mark.

I felt like my relationship with Spencer was akin to that of a wave on the sand. It would come closer and closer to the edge, only to backtrack with even greater distance. Spencer would act so sweet and caring one moment, and then be completely cold and aloof the next. He was driving me crazy, and the bastard doesn’t seem to notice.

I had told Rebecca about my observations, and she just laughed her head off to my annoyance. My mind was going bonkers and she was laughing at her best friend?

“You know, all this interest in Downing is really making me think that you’re the one with the problem,” she commented.

“How could that be? He’s the one who’s giving me a whiplash,” I cried.

“Yeah, but why are you getting so worked up and affected over it if you’re not interested in him anyways?” she asked. I blushed immediately at her words, my mouth opening and closing as I tried to stammer out an excuse, but Rebecca just laughed harder.

“Sort out your feelings first, George, and then you can go confront Spencer for why he’s being such a mercurial bastard,” she advised, standing up from her seat and strutting off to her next class.

All throughout the day, what Rebecca said about sorting out my feelings for Spence occupied my thoughts despite my many attempts to shut it out. It pained me to admit that despite my passion in writing romance, I was completely naïve in matters of the heart when it pertained to me.

And now I just realized that when I’m deeply troubled by something, my mind takes on a slightly British-sounding accent. Go figure.

“You should lay off on thinking. You look like you’re in pain,” I frowned as I recognized Spencer’s condescending tone coming from behind me.

“Shut up,” I grumbled, as he sat down on the seat Rebecca vacated moments before. He planted his chin on his knuckles as he looked at me pensively.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, and I raised an eyebrow at him.

“Oh, is this the moment where you’re nice to me before you run away again?” I asked, lacing my voice with the sweetest of honey. The amused look on Spencer’s face dropped, changing into a mixture of guilt and embarrassment.

“I’m sorry,” he said, not bothering to explain himself. I waited for him to elaborate, but moments passed, and he just held his head down, keeping his mouth shut. I sighed and picked up my bag, throwing my books into it haphazardly.

“I don’t know why I even bothered asking,” I whispered. “If you don’t even have good reasons for leading me on, can you do me a favor and stop playing around?” I asked. I stood up and was about to walk past him when he grabbed my wrist, stopping me.

“I—I--,” he stammered, conflict reflecting in his eyes as they moved rapidly. I tried to wrench my arm away, but he tightened his grip around my wrist. “Meet me in front of the writing center at 9 pm,” he said. He let me go and walked off, leaving me to stare after him.

I put my pen down and stretched my arms above my head as I peered up at Rebecca’s wall clock. 8:57 pm. Spencer was probably already there waiting for me to arrive. I snorted at the thought. Serves him right for being so sketchy.

I had taken Rebecca’s advice and mulled over my feelings for him, and even though I confirmed I liked him more than I should, I still wasn’t willing to talk to him. Why should I be the only one to suffer? I wasn’t the secretive one here, and he shouldn’t make fun of me like that. Whether he liked me or not, he should pick a side and stand by it.

My phone rang and I answered, my lips forming into a smirk as I fully expected it to be the guy I ditched, only to hear my brother’s voice from the other line.

“George, are you busy?” Darcy asked, and I straightened up. He never asked me that question unless he needed to tell me something urgently.

“No, what’s up?” I asked, my mind already going to a million places.

“I finally found out what happened years ago to make Mom and Dad scared of letting you leave the house,” he said in a rush, and my breath caught.

“How did you find out?” I asked.

“I’ll explain everything later, because that’s not the only thing I found. Look, I’m already on my way to the airport, and if I don’t catch the red eye to NC, I’ll see you tomorrow when I land, alright?” he said.

“Okay, be careful on your way. I love you,” I murmured.

“Love you too, sis. Gotta go,” I put my phone down and prayed for my brother’s safe flight. I was about to get out of my bed when I heard an incessant tapping on my window. I walked over to it cautiously, swallowing before carefully sweeping the curtains back.

I let out a shriek as I saw Spencer, crouched down in my veranda, tapping his finger on the window. He mouthed the words, “Let me in,” and I moved to lock the door first before doing what he asked. He climbed in and collapsed on his back with an exhausted sigh.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, glaring at him. He glared back and sat up.

“You didn’t come,” he answered.

“And that gave you the idea you should scale the walls of the house up to my window?” I cried loudly.

“Will you pipe down? I don’t want your freaky RA to come up and kick me out of here,” he said, covering my mouth with his hand. I narrowed my eyes at him and extended my tongue to lick his palm, making him retract his hand and look at me with revulsion.

“What is so important that you had to sneak into my room at this hour?” I demanded. He winced and turned away from me, grabbing a fistful of hair from the back of his head and pulling in frustration.

“I’ve been thinking about it all day, and before anything else, I have to tell you that I cannot give you the whole story,” he said, finally turning around to face me. “I can’t give you a full explanation, but I can tell you about things that I’m allowed to talk about.” I furrowed my brows, not understanding him.

“What are you saying?” I asked, making him sigh.

“I’m sorry if I keep pushing you away,” he said softly, his eyes revealing his remorse. “Believe me I didn’t want to do it. I want to stay with you all the time and teasing you until you’re blue in the face, but because of--,” he cut off, wincing. “Of what I am, I can’t do that. By the time I remember that I shouldn’t be flirting with you, it’s already too late, and the only thing I could think of was escaping,” he admitted.

I still didn’t understand.

“Why do you have to avoid me, though?” I asked him. He reached up to comb his fingers through his hair again.

“There are just some things in this world you’re better off not knowing,” he said by way of explanation.

I placed my hands on either side of his face, cupping his cheeks tenderly as I looked up at him.

“Whatever it is that’s holding you back, I want you to drop it now,” I ordered, and his eyes widened. I brushed my thumb against his cheek, smiling at him softly. “You don’t know how many nights I have agonized over you, wondering what you really feel about me. And all I ever really wanted as an answer was whether you liked me or not,” I said.”

“I do like you,” he admitted quickly, and I stood up on my tiptoes to peck him on the lips. “I really like you. I like you more than I should.”

“Then show me,” I whispered, pleading as the heat between our bodies started to rise up and drown me.

He hesitated for a moment, so I took charge and placed my lips on his again, this time deeper and with more urgency. He wrapped his arms around my back and deepened our kiss, his tongue taking advantage of the opening I gave him as I moaned. Our tongues clashed in a wet, slippery dance as he angled his head to gain better access, and I wrapped my arms around his neck in reply.

We kissed each other for a while, and feeling a little daring, I took the hand that was squeezing my waist and hitched it up higher, higher until it was cupping my right breast.

Spencer pulled his mouth away almost immediately, shaking his head despite the darkening tinge of his eyes.

“No, I can’t,” he gasped. “You deserve better than this,” he said, staring into my eyes. He lowered his hand and I covered it with my own, preventing him from pulling away. I bit my lip as I shook my head this time, looking at him with lowered eyelids.

“I deserve you,” I whispered. I didn’t know what came over me tonight, or why I suddenly grew a backbone, but one thing was for sure: I needed Spencer Downing, and I needed him now.

He still looked at me with conflicted eyes, and summoning all of the courage I gained, I took a step back from him and raised my hands up to the straps of my nightie, my fingers taking the thin material and letting it slide passed my shoulders, down my arms, and onto the floor, revealing myself in all my naked glory.

He stood there with his jaw clenched, his eyes tracing every part of me like he was committing the image of my body to memory. I stared back and let him look his fill, my confidence increasing as the bulge in his pants grew bigger and tighter, making me feel like I was a goddess who came down to be with this mortal man.

Along with the growth of my confidence came my impatience, which led me to finally snap at him in irritation.

“Well, are you going to have me or just stare at me?” I growled.

He covered the distance between us in just two steps before wrapping his arms around me and putting his mouth over mine, kissing me with renewed passion and energy. It wasn’t the sweet, gentle kiss he gave me earlier. It was rougher, deeper, almost like he was ravaging me instead.

His hands continued to travel all over my body, his fingertips tracing across my naked skin and memorizing the texture of my flesh. They went lower and lower until his hands reached the two ample cheeks of my buttocks, squeezing them hard before one of his hands found its way into the Promised Land.

I tilted my head back and cried out as his fingers slowly moved in a circular motion, rubbing against my nether lips, and the bud hidden between them. His other hand was holding me by my breast, squeezing and twisting my nipple between his fingers as his mouth trailed a long path towards my other breast.

His lips merely brushed at the skin, but goose bumps quickly emerged afterwards, like he was carving a path towards the areolae. He twirled his tongue on my dark mound before taking my elongated nipple between his teeth, nipping them hard enough to make me hiss before soothing the pain with the wetness from his tongue.

My knees were getting weak. I used my hands and anchored them on Spencer’s shoulders as he continued to suck mercilessly from my bosom. I couldn’t keep myself upright anymore and I slowly slid down to the floor, only for Spencer to pick me up and place me on top of my mattress. He raised his arms and reached behind his head as he leaned down before pulling at the end of his shirt, taking it off completely.

I marveled at how toned and muscular his body was, similar to the build of a competitive swimmer. I licked my lips and my fingers tingled, longing to explore all of that newly uncovered flesh, but Spencer had other ideas. He pushed me further up on the bed so my butt was hanging out on the edge of it, and then he spread my legs wide.

I tensed up, anticipating his entrance but instead he started peppering my inner thighs with kisses, slowly creeping its way down to my very core.

He looked up at me from over my mound, and licked his lips deliciously. I closed my eyes and gasped as I felt a pinch in my inner thigh. I looked back down on Spencer and he smirked at me.

“I want you to watch yourself until you crumble,” he said darkly, and the next thing I knew, my back shot straight up and the top of my head was digging into the mattress as he drew one long lick between the apex of my thighs, the tip of his tongue hitting from bow to stern.

I mewled wildly. It was beyond words, this sexual act, or maybe it was Spencer’s skilled tongue, but in all of the books I’ve read, they have never been able to detail what happens when a man performs cunnilingus so well.

My fingers buried themselves into Spencer’s scalp, pushing his face deeper into my pussy and egging him to keep going. His tongue and lips were relentless, and when he swirled his tongue around my clit and bit it hard, that was when I reached that elusive peak.

I felt my orgasm rage through every nerve endings and I collapsed on my bed, utterly spent. But despite my exhaustion, I could tell from the dark haze that still filled Spencer’s eyes, the night was far from over.

In fact, I think it had just begun.

He unbuckled his belt from his pants and then zipped it down, making the bulge in his pants grow even bigger, something I thought wasn’t possible from how large he had looked already. He pulled them down along with his boxers, and my eyes widened as his cock sprung out, jutting proudly.

My initial bravado was immediately blown away as I stared at his enormous erection. Suddenly, the innocent virginal girl inside me took its place, and I felt nervous at the thought of that pushing inside of me.

I gulped and looked at his cock uncertainly.

“W-will it fit?” I asked, stammering slightly and betraying that my confidence had gone. He nodded in affirmation.

“It’ll fit,” he added, but I still had doubts.

“How could you know without giving me proof?” I asked, and he guffawed loudly. He approached the bed with almost predatory movement, his shoulders low and his eyes determined and filled with lust that was probably the same as mine, only the latter was hiding in fear.

“I’ll be so good to you, baby,” he whispered, his voice sounding low and pleasantly deep. “I promise.”

He was crawling over me now, his hands finding my mouth and strumming it with his fingers like a guitar, making me twirl my hips in pleasure, and my mouth to form a small ‘O’ as I silently panted.

“You’re ready,” he said almost reverently. “You’re so ready for me, baby.”

I felt the tip of his cock brushing against my sensitive nub, and I gasped at the contact. He took his member in his hand and rubbed it over my core a few times, gathering the clear liquid that must’ve gathered there from my initial orgasm, and then he was going in.

His face was a picture of strain and pressure as he inserted himself ever so slowly inside of me. I bit my lip to keep myself from whimpering in pain as my walls loosed up to accommodate his girth. We were both sweating now, and when I felt him brush against something from within me, I nodded at him and he kissed me slowly, distracting me a little from the pain as he tore my maidenhood and forced himself inside of me completely.

My toes curled, and a small cry escaped from my mouth, tears coming out of my eyes as I shook from my very core. He whispered apologies, kissing every inch of my skin and wiping at the tears that fell from my eyes. We didn’t move for a minute, and then two, until I experimentally moved my hips a little.

Spencer took it as a signal and he slowly moved his hips back, pulling his cock out almost completely before driving it back inside again with equal slowness. There was sweat gathering in his brow, and I lovingly wiped it away with my finger with each thrust. The pain ebbed and something else took its place.

I moaned in utter ecstasy at his next thrust, and Spencer’s control snapped. He pistoned his hips like a madman, increasing in speed and power with each push and pull, driving my butt into the mattress. I wrapped my legs around his hips, and started to meet him thrust for thrust, something which he growled loudly in response. He snapped his hips even deeper, making my breasts swing wildly until he expertly caught one swinging nipple into his mouth.

My pleasure was running through me from all angles now, and the humming I heard from deep inside me indicated I was coming closer to completion.

Spencer must’ve felt it too and he groaned.

“Come with me, baby,” he whispered harshly, and my body followed, triggering one powerful orgasm out of me, and making my inner walls clench tightly around his talented cock.

Spencer roared and I felt hot spurts of his semen hit my inner walls, the impact sending me into oblivion once more. I was shaking as I held Spencer close to me, our skin sticking to each other from the sweat of our lovemaking. He pulled out and I winced at the blood between my legs, mixed in with his white hot seed, and he quickly got up and grabbed a couple of tissues from my desk and cleaned me up very tenderly.

He crawled next to me and I snuggled up to him, wrapping my arms and legs around him like a kitten after a delicious meal.

“Don’t leave me,” I pleaded.

“Never,” he whispered, holding me tightly against him, his breath tickling my forehead.

I sighed happily before drifting off into a blissful sleep.
