Unbearable: Bear Brothers Mpreg Romance Book 3 by Kiki Burrelli (6)

Chapter Six

Logan

Logan grabbed a second bottle of painkillers as well as a bottle of muscle relaxers. He wasn't into self-medicating, but no one could have the night he had and not need a little chemical TLC. He was sore in places he normally loved being sore in, except now, each low ache of pain only reminded him of how much of a coward he'd been.

The night before, he'd passed out in a cocoon of warmth and had woken up, sweaty with anxiety. It had taken him nearly an hour of moving at a silent sloth's pace to sneak out of the room and even then he thought for sure one of the men was on his way to get him.

Or maybe he just hoped they were.

He'd made it to his van and parked it on a side street before finally making it to the pharmacy for replacement supplies.

"You were right to leave, Logan," he muttered to himself, ignoring the side eye he got from the pharmacy employee. He dropped his load of supplies on the counter looking up at the middle-aged man. "I'm not crazy. I'm just doubting myself."

"Que?" the employee asked.

"You don't speak English, do you?" Logan replied, waiting half a breath before launching into his story. "Those two were too much for me to handle. They would have tried to domesticate me. And I'm a wild animal! Sure, it would have started simple, with a second date, another reason to have sex. I would have fallen for it just to get another look at those glorious coc--" He stopped himself a moment before, looking around the pharmacy to make sure no one had come in while he'd started his tirade. Seeing the coast was clear, he brought his face down like he was about to tell the employee a secret. "They were beautiful down there too. You know what I mean? Very bonita." He heard the doorbell ring then and straightened, not bothering to look back at who had stepped in. "I guess I will always have my memories. It's strange how even now it's like I can smell them," he told the man. "Like they are here in this space with me."

"Someone is in here with you," the man said with perfect English. He cupped his hand over his mouth and whispered. "I don't know if they are the ones with the perfect cocks though."

Slowly, Logan turned around. With his back to the counter, he saw Julian and Hugh, looking as sexy as they did in his mind. The look on their faces made him think that they'd heard more than Logan had wanted them to and had definitely heard the line about beautiful cocks. "Um..."

Just then, a tiny face poked out from one side of Hugh followed by a taller girl who looked to be in her early teens. Logan looked at the children, at his own personal sex gods and then back to the children. "Where did they come from?" He would have remembered a small child in their room the night before.

"That's a long story," Hugh replied grimly. "Where did you go?"

"Uh...long story?"

"No, it's a short story. You woke up in the wee hours and snuck out," Julian barked.

"Who is that?" the girl asked but with the disdain of a teenager who had already decided they didn't like you.

Logan found Hugh's face and waited for his answer. Who was he to these two men? Who did he want to be? He knew what he had tried to be, nothing. That hadn't worked so well.

"He's our doctor," Hugh said to the girl. He approached the counter. "Put his things on our tab. We need these things," Hugh said, handing the employee a list. "Do you have the epi pens? They are the most important thing on the list."

"Si, senor. I have a box of them that came in."

"We'll take the whole box."

"Why do you need a box of epi pens?" Logan asked. "What is going on?"

Hugh looked at Julian as they did that thing where they spoke silently to each other. Finally, Julian faced him. "We're taking a trip to Coacoyulillo."

"We?" Logan squeaked.

"Yes. All of us."

After Julian and Hugh had purchased all the items, they traveled as a pack to their hotel room. Logan didn't have time to wonder how he'd been ensnared by them once again. The moment he stepped through the door, memories of the night before hit him like a ton of bricks. He swore he could still smell the sex they'd had and rushed over to one of the windows to let the breeze in.

"Who are these children? Why are you going to Coacoyulillo?"

"That's where my grandparents are," the girl said like that explained everything.

"And pap pap!" the little boy shouted.

"He means grandpa," the girl clarified.

Logan found Julian and Hugh packing their clothing into backpacks.

"Will an adult please tell me what is going on?" he cried out exasperated.

"Hugh and I are here to secure petroleum for our community to use. Bryce Morrow is the CEO of the nation's largest natural gas company and has agreed to supply our community at a modest rate in exchange for transporting these children to their rightful guardians." As he spoke, Julian continued to pack up his clothing. "Any questions?"

Logan figured he'd asked that ironically. Of course, he had questions. So many of them. Like, where is their community? Why not deal with someone else? Why aren't the children with their guardians already? How come he couldn't get the night before out of his head? How did Julian transform into a bear and why did he want nothing more than to take the two men into the hallway and hump their faces? He didn't ask any of those questions though. Instead, he asked, "Why do you need so many epi pens?"

"Fern is allergic to shellfish. Lupe smartly suggested we get enough to last him a while."

"They expire about a year and a half after manufacturing," Logan said, grabbing the box and reading the label. "These will be good for a little over a year, but then he will need to get more."

Julian took the box back, shoving it into a backpack. "Good to know, we'll add it to the list of things Bryce needs to send to them on a regular basis."

"Bryce is their..."

"Dad," Lupe offered. "But not really."

"Their parents had relations," Hugh said delicately.

"And now their mom is...?" He saw the two men's face change as he spoke which was why he'd sputtered into silence, but not before saying something that had sent Lupe into a round of tears.

"She's passed," Hugh said, settling his hand on Logan's shoulder. "It's okay. You didn't know."

What wasn't okay was how comforting Logan found that hand.

"The remote areas around here, they can be very dangerous. Even I won't venture too far in." That comment earned him daggers from both men.

"We have special skills," Hugh said. "There will be nothing to worry about," he said to Lupe.

Logan had only just noticed how wide and fearful her eyes had become. He couldn't seem to say anything right in front of the girl, and her brother just kept staring at him with his beady, unblinking eyes.

"Good luck then," Logan replied, looking for his bag of supplies.

"Why don't you two watch some television?" Hugh asked Lupe, his tone light and conversational until he turned back to Logan. "We'll just be in the hallway for a moment."

Alarms sounded in Logan's brain. He waited for Lupe to turn away before hissing his protest. "I'm not going into that hallway with you. It isn't wide enough, and you'll both be so close." He sat down on the end of the mattress, clutching the bedding with a white-knuckle grip. "So close," he whispered.

Julian picked him up easily, and the only choice Logan had was whether to drop the bedding or drag it with him. Either way, he was soon in the hallway, his back against the wall as two strong men loomed over him.

"Do you want me to tell you what we would be doing if these kids weren't here?" Hugh asked him softly.

"N-No. I don't."

"Why did you run?"

"I told you, I don't do second dates." He had told them, hadn't he?

"Did we ask you for a second date?" Hugh asked, his voice like sweet honey slowly dripping over Logan.

"No, but I could tell. It was all just too...good."

"You left because you had too good of a time?" Julian asked him with one eyebrow raised.

Logan set his hand against the two men, a palm against each chest. He had no illusions about who would win if this got physical. Except, any physical contact with these two would make Logan the winner in the end. "I left because I could tell the longer I stayed, the harder it would be. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy my time with you guys last night because I did. But I couldn't risk the second night because it would have led to a third, a fourth...I can't seem to resist you two."

"Could it be because of our beautiful cocks?" Hugh asked with a smirk, proving he'd heard what the employee had said earlier.

"It isn't polite to eavesdrop," Logan muttered.

"It's less polite to leave the two men who just gave you several mind-blowing orgasms," Julian retorted.

"Come with us," Hugh followed close on his brother's heels. Together, they were like a trained fighter landing blow after blow, weakening Logan's resolve.

"My van wouldn't make it," Logan said, looking down at his hands.

"We'll find a place for you to park it," Hugh said.

"And those kids!" Logan exclaimed, grasping at whatever straw he could reach. "What are you two doing with two children?"

"The situation isn't ideal," Julian conceded. "But we aren't that big of strangers to children. We come from a big family. Actually, Lupe sort of reminds me of Gaia."

"You're right," Hugh said turning slightly to his brother. "Gaia and Garth. Though, that little boy looks much more likable than Garth."

Watching them talk about people he didn't know should have been boring, but instead, he found it fascinating. So far, men like these two existed in his fantasies. Like discovering a childhood teacher didn't live at school, he was learning that these two studs didn't just live in his porn-fueled dreams. They had real lives, friends, and family.

Logan felt the back of his neck itch. He reached up to scratch it, but the itch traveled. "I shouldn't," he mumbled. "Someone might need me."

"I don't doubt that you would be needed if you stayed," Hugh began. "You're a useful guy to have around which is why we are fighting so hard to have you come with us."

At first, he mentally fought against Hugh's claim, that it was his medical prowess and not a budding romantic connection, that propelled them into basically telling Logan he would be joining them.

Except, the mission was to transport a couple of children, it wasn't like they were going on a non-stop fuckfest. Logan had always been a little wary of children, even during his time in the ER. But one thing he knew was that it wasn't easy to find alone time when they were around. Which meant, Logan could go with Julian and Hugh, assist in any medical emergencies while also maintaining a safe physical distance. Right now, these two were the epitome of everything Logan had ever wanted. Of course, he would find it hard to leave. But, every person, no matter how perfect at first, had a crack. Spending more time with these two in a non-sexual environment was just what he needed to find those cracks and then get the men out of his head for good. "Fine, I'll come with you. But we need to find a safe spot for my van."
