Dinner with the Wright twins was both thrilling and terrifying. They commanded the room, and you could tell just from the way everyone seemed to move when they said something. They were the dominant alpha’s I had read all about in my romance novels but had never had the pleasure of meeting, until now.
The two glasses of wine I drank went down a lot faster than I thought, giving me the courage I needed to go back to their place. At first, I was taken aback by the way he referred to me as a princess, but then I thought about how it sounded as if I was his and I wanted to hear him say it more. I wouldn’t admit it out loud, but I loved that he was referring to only me. I was enjoying this attention from not only one but, two gorgeous male companions who wanted to spend time with me, the dorky bookworm.
“I love the car. It’s sexy as hell.” The words came out in a rush. I had never said something like that before. I didn’t compliment anyone’s car because honestly I didn’t care for the kind of thing but I wanted Rider and Hawk to like me.
“Good, because we couldn’t let you ride in Sally if you didn’t like her. She’s our baby…” I almost laughed as Rider spoke a boyish grin pulling at his lips. Didn’t God realize when he created these two he was going against all Godly things? There was way too much hotness in one of them to think of creating a second.
“She? It’s a girl.” I went along with what Rider said, laughing harder as both he and Hawk looked at me like I was crazy. Hawk slipped into the backseat letting me sit in the front, while Rider drove.
“I’m not sure we can bring Princess back to our place with this kind of attitude,” Hawk joked from the backseat and Rider busted out in laughter, as did I. Rider pulled out of the parking spot and then garage as soon as we were all in our seats. The sound of music whispered from the speakers, and I wondered further about the twins. What kind of music did they like? How many dates like this had they went on? Did they always date in pairs?
“You never did tell us what you do for a living, Princess?” Hawk questioned from the backseat. I felt him pull softly on one of my blonde locks so I twisted around in my seat, coming face to face with him.
“Oh, yeah…” My cheeks reddened. Telling them that I was a senior in college would probably put a damper on our date but I didn’t want to lie to them either. “I’m a senior at West Bridge. I’m going for my nursing degree.” I smiled. Hawk’s eyes sparkled with curiosity.
“So you like helping people then?” He added, wrapping the strand of hair he had tugged on previously around his finger. His touch would be my undoing.
“I love helping people. I wouldn’t want to be a nurse if I didn’t.” I turned slightly back in my seat, focusing on the road ahead of us. Hawk made me feel things I wasn’t sure I wanted to recognize right now.
“Good. Then you can nurse my brother and I back to health when we get sick. We’ve always wanted a little nurse to care for us…” Rider spoke, his voice commanding my attention. I twisted around the room looking at every little thing that I could. My father had money, but we didn’t ever live in something as lavish as this.
Hawk disappeared into another room, and my attention shifted to Rider. He had a devilish grin on his face, one that said he wanted to do very bad things to me. I was falling under some sort of love-struck spell, but I didn’t really mind it because if I got to spend my time with these two men, plus I knew I didn’t love them. Hawk returned only moments later holding two stacks of bills in one hand and a drink that looked like a martini in the other. It even had a toothpick with two adorable little olives sticking out of it.

“It’s all there, every bit of ten thousand, Princess.” Hawk grinned proudly as if he’d just handed me a winning lottery ticket and in reality he had. Neither of them realized how much this money meant to me.
“Now that, that’s out of the way we can show you around the condo.” Rider eyes flashed between mine and Hawks as he placed his hand on the small of my back, beckoning me to follow him in the direction he was walking. A part of me told me I should be worried about what these men had to offer, after all, I was being paid to go on a date with them. Still, I didn’t get a creepy feeling from either of them, plus I wanted whatever it was they wanted to offer me, so how could I resist, when I too wanted it?
I let Rider guide me from room to room, taking in all the amazing views from literally every window in the entire house. I noticed right away that there were no curtains or blinds on any of the windows, but I didn’t blame them for not wanting to enclose such a spectacular view. I went over to the window in one room that looked like a bedroom. I loved the modern exposed brick look that the room had going on and I placed my hand on the window dreamily staring out at the cars that passed below us.
