His Mate - Brothers - S-witch-eroo by M. L Briers (35)

“That’s it,” Parker growled, and a moment later; Kat was being tossed over his broad shoulder to the shapely view of his backside.

It took her a second or two to understand what was happening, but then she shrieked with annoyance and zapped his butt.

“What are you…?” Mel shrieked out in surprise as she suffered the same fate as her sister.

“Witches,” Parker grunted in annoyance, as Grayson turned a look of disbelief on the alpha.

“Tell me about it,” Grayson grumbled and felt the hard sting of his mate’s magic against his backside.

“Someone needs to cool off,” Parker growled as he stalked back into the house, through the kitchen, down the hallway, up the stairs, and into his bedroom with Kat squirming, zapping his backside and grounding out curses like she was in the Navy.

Parker backheeled the door closed with a hard thud and turned back toward the bed.

“When I get down from here…” Kat practically growled the words out as she hung down the alpha’s back, swinging slightly from side to side as he stalked toward that bed – his bed – and it was a tempting sight.

“Be careful what you wish for,” Parker growled and a heartbeat later Kat shrieked like a banshee when he tossed her through the air for a soft, if not bouncy landing on the bed.

“Oh, you are so going to pay for that one,” Kat said, as she rallied to try to sit up, and clawed her hair from her face at the same time.

Kat kind of wished that she hadn’t been able to see. Parker was closing the distance toward her, there was a hungry look in his dark eyes, and the only things that went through her mind were – sexy as hell – and – how much he looked like the predator that slumbered within him.

Hungry like the damn wolf – check – but not for food. That man was oozing testosterone and sex appeal.

Animal magnetism – fate – boy meets girl – the birds and the bees – or good old-fashioned lust – Kat could practically feel her panties slipping as she stared back at Nature’s gift as he stalked toward her.

Alpha male – and she didn’t need three bloody guesses to guess what he was hunting!

“Oh, no you don’t, Mr!” Kat rushed out, but when his knee hit the mattress, and it dipped under his weight – the writing was on the wall – and she let out another shriek as she scampered onto her hands and knees and tried to make it to the other side of the bed.

Who knew a bed could be so damn big and that the edge would feel like a trip from Earth to Mars?

Kat never made it. At least, not all of her.

She slapped a hand down over the edge of the mattress, curled her fingers, and was about to haul the rest of her body towards sanctuary, but she could already feel the heat from Parker’s body like a comfy blanket around her, and then one strong arm went around her waist and hauled her back toward him.

“Going somewhere, sweetheart?” He growled against her ear.

Kat felt like one of those poor, helpless deer caught in the headlights. The heat of his body pressed against hers as her back was against his chest, and his strong arms were wrapped around her, and coupled with the hot caress from his breath against her ear and cheek, not to mention the hungry growl that vibrated through every inch of her, it all conspired to hold her spellbound.

“Poop!” Kat grumbled.

It wasn’t over til the fat lady sung, and they were alone!

Kat needed a sanctuary in the storm of her emotions, but if she stayed in his arms then she wasn’t going to find one.

Like that bloody Pigeon from the Whacky Races cartoon – she had the urge to – splat him – jab him – zap him – now!

“My turn to ask for a kiss,” he growled against her ear.

His voice had so much depth that it felt bone and soul deep, and the pigeon be damned because she was back to being that poor little helpless deer caught in those headlights once more.

Or was she?

“Do I look like a sack of bloody coal to you, tutu boy?” Mel bit out as she hung down Grayson’s back and fisted his shirt for dear life.

Being upside down was one pet hate, but hanging upside down from the height of his shoulder and staring at the ground was like special torture to her nerves.

“Y…”

“I’d be careful how I bloody well answer that if I were you,” she hissed out, and to Grayson’s ears; his mate sounded possessed by a she-demon.

“Best damn looking sack of coal I’ve ever seen,” he tossed back over his shoulder, as he stalked into his bedroom and tossed the door closed behind him.

Grayson stalked over to the bed, bent forward, and slowly eased her off his shoulder to her feet. The only trouble was that Mel had a death grip on the back of his shirt, and she yanked it up over his head on her journey.

“Let go of my damn shirt,” Grayson grumbled, caught half in and out of his shirt and unable to see.

“You — mutt,” Mel bit out, a second before she let go of his shirt, and zapped him.

Grayson didn’t have time to yank the shirt off his head as he stumbled backwards. He couldn’t recover his footing and ended up sitting on his pride on the floor.

He grumbled a groan as he yanked the shirt off his head and tossed it away. His dark eyes travelled up her body until he met her gaze.

Mel wasn’t looking into his eyes — she was centred on his hard, muscled chest.

Oh,” she bit out, but she sounded a whole lot more breathless and a lot less she-demon that time. The pink tip of her tongue came out and wet her dry lips.

Mine…

Grayson wholeheartedly agreed with his wolf. The beast might have been clawing to get out, but something else inside of him clawed to break free — his need — his desire for his mate.

Grayson was up on his feet before his brain had even kicked his backside into gear. Mel’s eyes were locked and loaded on his chest, and she was devouring him like he wanted to devour her.

Well, maybe not — he wanted to do so much more than just look and drool. He wanted her naked so he could appreciate her curves in the flesh — but he didn’t want to just lick his damn lips — he wanted to lick her from head to toe.

“Like what you see, baby?” Grayson growled as he took one long step toward her and she didn’t move an inch — she didn’t even blink.

“You’re definitely not someone I’d kick out of bed in the morning,” Mel said with a whole lot of wicked intention in her eyes and a big dollop of glee.

“Damn, woman,” Grayson growled as he closed the distance between them, and reached out to her.

That time, he didn’t sling her over his shoulder and down his back — that time, he lifted her against his hard body, and she wrapped her legs around his hips.

“Yes,” Mel said simply.

“Yes?”

“Yes to whatever you’re about to ask me.”

Grayson’s lips parted, but he couldn’t find any words – not a damn one. There was a slow to boil, wicked grin on her lips that mesmerised him and kept him staring at her.

Grayson felt the slap from her hand against the back of his head that jolted him back to reality.

“Thanks — I needed that,” Grayson chuckled as he spun her towards the bed and took her down to the mattress beneath him.
