An Unseelie Understanding by Amy Sumida (9)

Chapter Eleven

It took Drostan five hours to stop the Goblin attack. I spent all of those short hours in Andras' bed. Well, in his tub, his bed, on his floor, hanging out his window, and even in mid-air. I was in the middle of coming for the twenty-eighth time when news arrived that Drostan's signal had been spotted.

“Alas, our time together has come to an end.” Andras sighed sadly.

“It was lovely while it lasted,” I said. “Thank you for giving me a taste of freedom.”

“If you didn't have an Understanding with the Unseelie King, I would free you in truth, Riley,” he said softly. “Despite the cost to my honor.”

“Thank you.” I hugged him. “And thanks for that other gift.”

He smiled brightly. “We call it Sylphilis; it's a play on—”

“Yeah”—I held up a hand and stopped him—“I get it. You need to come up with a better name. Your cum is far from being an STD. It's more cure than disease.”

“Would you like another dose?” Andras purred as he pulled me into a kiss.

“You're damn straight I would!” I pulled out of his arms to bend over the window ledge and then looked over my shoulder at him. “I'll take a double please.”

“As my lady commands.” Andras formed his double cocks and double-stuffed me one last time.

After we finished shouting together in ecstasy, Andras flew me back to the place where he'd found me. As we approached, I saw a worried Drostan pacing the forest floor. My freedom was quickly slipping away.

“You should tell him that I forced you,” Andras suggested. “I don't recommend saying that it was consensual; it will go badly for you.”

“Yeah; you're probably right,” I agreed morosely.

“He'll smell me on you,” Andras said. “Or I'd tell you to say that we didn't have sex at all.”

“He'll smell you on me?” I widened my eyes at him.

“Rather; he will smell the lack of any man on you,” Andras corrected. “You were covered with him when I first took you, but Sylph cum leaves a woman as fresh as—”

“A Summer's Eve?” I joked.

“Indeed.” He frowned. “Why is that humorous?”

“It's the name of a feminine hygiene product,” I explained.

“Is it?” Andras laughed. “I suppose my cum could be considered a feminine hygiene product.” He waggled his snowy brows at me.

“I wish we had more time,” I said sadly. “I really like you, Andras.”

“I really like you too, Riley,” he said sincerely. “Thank you for helping me save my people from Goblins... or at least our village.”

I lifted a brow at that.

“We can fly,” he looked pointedly at the ground. “We would have been able to flee if we chose to. But then we would have to leave our homes unprotected.”

“And where's the honor in that?” I asked.

“Exactly,” he said as we touched the ground.

“Riley!” Drostan rushed over.

Andras was in the air before Drostan reached us.

“You had better fly fast, you piece of shit!” Drostan shouted and launched magic at Andras as he fled. His shots fell short, and he finally gave up to turn and lay a palm to my cheek. “Did they hurt you? Are you—” Drostan breathed in deeply, and his face shifted back into fury. “That fucking bastard!”

“They weren't rough,” I said. “I'm fine.”

“Did they force you?” Drostan whispered.

“Only the one,” I said, “and it wasn't horrible.”

“I'm so sorry, Riley; that should never have happened.” Drostan's jaw clenched. “Let's get you back to the castle. We can dine in our chambers tonight, and tomorrow, you can have the entire day to recover.”

“Thank you,” I whispered and tried to act demure.

Hell; Andras had given me more than one present. It looked as if I had a short vacation from being Drostan's sex slave. After that wild afternoon, I could use it. Then there was all the new information he'd given me. I still wasn't sure how I was going to deal with the knowledge that Drostan had taken advantage of me. I felt helpless and frustrated.

“Did the Goblins say why they wanted to attack the Sylph Village?” I asked Drostan.

“The Sylphs attacked them first,” Drostan snarled. “If the Sylphs didn't have you, I would have led the attack myself. They could have destroyed a truce that has lasted centuries.”

“What?” I asked in shock. “Oh God, was that the skirmish you had to deal with?”

“The skirmish?” He lifted a brow.

“That day you came into the bedroom armored up and covered in blood,” I reminded him.

Drostan frowned; looking pensive for a moment before he answered, “Yes, that was the skirmish. The Sylphs flew off before they did much harm, and we were able to inflict a fair amount of damage ourselves, but the Goblins are furious and want their revenge. They're even more upset now that I've made them back down. I've had to promise to send them Redcap soldiers to help guard the border.”

“I'm sorry,” I said.

“This is not your fault, Riley.” Drostan squeezed my hand. “I don't blame you for it. There is a long-running feud between the Seelie and Unseelie. Even though our kingdoms are under a truce, battles between villages still occur.”

“That must be exhausting for you,” I noted. “Do you have to respond to every threat?”

“In one manner or another; yes,” he said. “A king must protect his kingdom. And you're right; it is exhausting. It's enough to make you wish you were someone else.” Drostan got a far-away look in his eyes for a moment.

“Drostan?”

“It will be all right, Aja,” he said. “Don't fret.”

“Okay,” I whispered.

But I did. I worried the whole way back to the castle... especially about what the word “Aja” meant.
